We arent towing a van, but any excuse to add another cache as we make our way to Parkes. SL at 12.35pm. Day 2 of our road trip north from Victoria to the Maitland area. #11,361 TFTC The Sundowners - great to find this old cache on our journey.
Accurate coordinates and an obvious hide location led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. However this is not a Terrain 1 cache as there is no way that a person in a wheelchair could get to the hide unassisted (the fundamental requirement for T1). It is T1.5 or T2. Ironically we were not towing a caravan and there were no caravans in the parking bay when we visited. Thanks The Sundowners for the cache.
Found on a school holiday road trip with the kids - exploring places we've never been to before. Quick find here before dark. Thanks for the cache.
The cache was deteriorating and full of water. I replaced the cache container for a new one and put the latest log, which is only a bit damp in a new sealable plastic bag. The old logs and trinkets were black and slimy. They went in the nearby bin, along with the old container. I hope this new container keeps the contents dry, at least for a respectable time. TFTC.The container is now a small sized container (as was the one it replaced). The size rating needs updating.
TFTC. As with previous finds, cache is somewhat wet and log is damp but was able to sign.
Day 8 of my tour of Central NSW. Hoping to chase some LGAs and other points of interest. Headed to Trangie for an AL then off to Narromine for a cache or 2. Interesting info at the Air Base here. Then back to Dubbo before heading South. This cache was full of water - luckily the log was relatively dry in its bag. The lid no longer closes properly. Tftc
We are on a ten-day road trip from Sydney around the Central West. Spent most of our day in the Forbes area but were staying in Parkes, stopped in here on our way back home. Log is nearly dry now and GZ was muggle-free but a bit trashy. SL TFTC Cheers Gaztek
Found it! Container in poor condition and full of water. Log is soggy but able to sign. Emptied water and tried to reset as best we could but needs an owner visit.TFTC.
A quick stop to break the journey on our drive this afternoon. The log was damp but still signable. Thanks to The Sundowners for adding to our fun today
Nice quick stop along the way to Parkes Day 3 of my travels heading across towards Barrington Tops before making my way to the 2024 Canberra Geobash. Thanks The Sundowners for placing this here, contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy.
#13222 09:10After talking about it for many years, we decided to finally visit the annual Elvis festival in Parkes. Staying in Forbes we visited some of the caches in both Forbes and Parkes area.A very soggy log sheet, in need of replacement.TFTC The Sundowners
A loose plan was hatched for a 3-week road trip with RoamingHowie to explore locations in Country NSW wed not been to before and of course, find a cache here and there.DAY FOURTEEN: Continuing south, exploring Parkes, Forbes and West Wyalong. This one is in dire need of attention. Not too sure about the T1 rating. I would not be trying to get a wheelchair through to here. The lid is missing 3 of the 4 clips, and is cracked on the corner, allowing water to get in. We emptied all the water out before signing the cleaner of the 2 logbooks - the other covered in black mold. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, The Sundowners ~ ~
It was time for the traditional post Christmas road trip. The stockings were emptied of presents, feasts were devoured and great times were had with family and friends. Now to get away!Day 14: Its time to see the dish!!! This was a must do on this trip and today is all about exploring the dish as well as the Parkes and Forbes area. The container here was in poor condition and full of water. OzHockeyChick emptied the container while I tried to sign the soggy log which had not been sealed in its bag.We reset it as best we could but this requires an owners visit. Thanks The Sundowners for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. The [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour Event - GCAFQ8B](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) is on 18 February 2024.Looking for caches to find when visiting Victoria? Why not check out the geocaching lists available on the [Geocaching Victoria Website](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists/). On road trip and caching holiday with CaptainKirky. On this part of our trip we are heading home, we have come across some great finds including the ones at the geotour in Ballarat. I must say that caching not only takes you to great finds, but it takes you to interesting places. Thanks for playing this cache.
DAY 2
After much planning, saving and extra mods to the 4WD we are finally on our way to Longreach to take part in the QOGM festivities. We have just over a week to get there, so a route was planned to encompass uncharted LGA’s as we zig zag our way through NSW, as well as a slight detour to Coffs Harbour to visit family. Will we make it in time? Who knows, but we are going to give it a good shot.
We just had to stop for this old trad as we head up the Newell Hwy. The rest stop was empty making for a muggle free find.
Thanks The Sundowners for maintaining this oldie.

Nice easy find. The container is a little bit worse for wear, but log is still ok

No. 6 of your series led us to the beautiful spot in Goloogong, so we thought this might be another good hint. Unfortunately not, but we found the cache.
We have left the beautiful town of Temora and are heading North towards home in North Brisbane.
We stopped in West Wyalong for the night! Now we continue direction Parkes.
