Such a beautiful spot. We camped here for the night with merilyntas and WallaceKidz and enjoyed listening the the birds the next morning. The lake was quite full and we had to detour around it. Thanks for placing a cache here

Catching up with some very late logs

After 16 years of caching we are still trying to finish the Solar System series and as we were heading south down The Canning Stock route with micaparamedic and two muggle vehicles and we are happy to say at this point gravity hadn't appeared to do any damage other than jarring a few back bones.
Gravity was to play it's part later on that day when we found that it had cracked our diff housing and we were losing oil as gravity was pulling it to the earth.
The strange thing about the cache was Gravity didn't seem to have any effect on it as we found it suspended in a tree, apparently a previous finder had placed it there to keep it out of the flooded area.
We added our names to the log and then headed off to explore the area really enjoying the flat clay pan.
Thanks Team Astro and twogreynomads for the cache.

A group of four vehicles are heading down the Canning Stock Route. Three caching teams and one set of muggles. Little did we imagine the adventure that was awaiting us. So once we arrived at GZ a quick find was made and the container was found to be in good condition. So to the adventure, the Canning is a truely beautiful area. Scenery changing as you cross every dune almost. It is also a relentless and severe environment on vehicles. One of our team suffered an almost circumfrential crack to the rear diff housing, two suffered 'minor' damage to canopies and water tanks. Me on the other hand, managed a list of problems quite extensive and potentially very expensive to fix. This cache was on a list of must do caches and Team Crackers, prospectorsWA and I were pleased to have had the opportunity to do it.

Thanks TeamAstro and twogreynomads for placing this cache.

Appreciate the log on this - first one for nearly 1 year.

The cache box is an ammo and should be fine - thanks for lifting it up a bit. It will dry out and be fine for the next finder as the book inside is spiral bound. My thanks to Jabbernow for maintaining this one, and again in the future.

Clear skies!

We found it on 03-05-17. The area had been flooded and the Ammo Box had obviously been submerged or partly submerged. The contents were soggy and Termites had started building a mound under the box. We would have like to have spread out the Stuff in the sun to dry, but we didn't have time. On leaving, we hung the Ammo Box in the tree about 600mm off of the ground so that the Termites would not affect it further.

What was planned to be the first of 4 on the CSR, unfortunately this turned out to be my only find due to having to bail out at well 31. Noting its been a long time between finds, I can confirm the cache is in good condition. Thanks for bringing me here team astro and TFTC.

Doing the CSR south-north with JonDell & Subtlevox. The few caches along the route were on the"must do" list. A welcome easy find, then we setup camp back on the south side of the lake. Took a bit of effort getting the tent pegs in though.

Thanx to kggy for upgrading Gravity to an ammo box. It's a long way to carry one but will ensure the longjevity of this geocache for many many years.

Clear skies and safe travelling to those reading this, especially if you are just rolling up to GZ!!!
Regards from TeamAstro.

Completed while doing a 5 week round trip from Albany to Alice Springs then to the Canning Stock Route.

No water on the lake on our visit. The cache was a quick find and we were on our way. Pen was missing so added one to the cache. Travelling N-S so had a dream drive for a few kms down the lake.

Its now been found. We didnt realise that we would be the FTF. For some odd reason we were looking at the wrong place for about 20 mins until we realised we were looking at Gravity Lake waypoint and not the cache waypoint. That was one of those "Duh" moments. The cache was nested in the base of the tree right beside a drum. We had a few scratches after retrieving it from the sharp branches. Gravity lake had water in it while were were there and we think that maybe its rare so we took a few photos while we had the chance. We replaced the container but kept the original one in the new container ( courtesy of team Jim@Chris) as we were only recyling a container we knew that these ones are prone to the lid cracking. Maybe the next team can re-replace it....please. Ammo box is the best but otherwise a "Klip-it" is good too. We added a log book and some blade fuses took the smiley faces and left our names in the gravel at the lakes edge.
