I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
I need to replace this cache, when I am back in the area I will set up a new cache, hide it differently and update the coords for it. Should be on or before 04 Jul 2021
Disabling cache temporarily as I've been up there and the cache has gone, suspected a victim of come council maintenance. I need to get up there and replace it. I'll also put the replacement somewhere less perilous and less likely to lacerate people loking for it. Will re-enable when replaced.
Nice walk up and good views, but no cache. I have it a good go, search right, left and centre, and the only thing I walked away with was a hundred toitoi cuts - including on my nose!! Can this one please be checked/replaced?
It was a beautiful day to day, stunning views from the look out and lovely birdsong from gz so enjoyed the walk despite no find today
Third time we have looked. Bought gloves with us to search better but still DNF. Possibly muggled.
This one is a good one. Very good. Big thanks to the placer of this cache. Highly recommend
Great hiding spot. Was wondering where it could possibly be and then just got a glimpse of it!
I'm in Wellington today to pick up a car that my son in Christchurch has bought. I'm talking it home to Nelson with me tomorrow and he's coming up in a couple of weeks to collect it. I had time to find a few caches too. I can confirm that the cache is still there. I was a bit wary of the hiding place but the container was big enough to be OK with it and fairly easy to find. Thanks for keeping this one alive for so long. TFTC, Biggles.
Found on a windy day with a friend from Argentina. Was misled slightly by the mention of the gorse bush in the hint (the gorse bush isn’t there any more - if you’re looking for a toitoi with a gorse bush you’re looking at the wrong toitoi )
I had hoped to make this oldie my #2100 but unfortunately owing to a DNF at a previous cache that didn't happen.
I approached this one with a little trepidation knowing what it was hidden amongst but as it turned out it was reasonably easy to grab and return the cache and come out unscathed.
But I would have expected a cache of this vintage, size, quality and location to have more favorite points, perhaps a slight shift into some more friendly cover might help?
TFTC.

Found early last year, forgot to log online but did log the geocache.

Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, now WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
Where's my Rolex watch! Even so you're ment to trade something equal or better than the item you take out. I don't think this toy car is worth much in here . Nice small walk up here with great views on a windy day. We needed this time stamp for our matrix. Thanks Rockme.
Beautiful view on another great Wellington morning. Easy to find with the hint. Just a note that the plastic bag & log book are starting to look a little rough - bring a plastic baggie if you come for this one.
With such glorious Spring weather on offer, I decided to have the afternoon off off in order to travel down to Porirua and Tawa in order to grab my 2000th cache (one I had in mind) and at the same time have a crack at getting the 32 caches I needed to complete 50 for the month of September which was a personal requirement in order to complete my own qualification for a Challenge Cache I'm about to put out.
In the end I managed to get 30 caches, the last 8 or 9 being found in the dark, before I called time on my attempt knowing I would be able to complete my task over the coming weekend, so all in all I had a great afternoon in the sun, which is what a great deal of Geocaching means for me.
Arriving at GZ, I could see the likely hiding place quickly, but it still took me a couple of circuits before I spotted the cache.
Contents are a little damp, including the log, but I was still able to sign and then return everything back exactly as found.
Thanks for the cache.

Took a while to find but like others before us, we ignored the phone and followed the hint. Thanks for the treasure hunt.
A somewhat dreary view up here today - not terribly scenic but interesting for seeing Whitby in perspective. The good thing about the weather was there was nobody around to spoil cache hunting!
I nearly didn't bother coming up here because of the last DNF; I did find it but it the problem for me was the coordinates - turns out my phone doesn't play the game well. It took me on a goose chase around the trees before I returned to the obvious hint object - where I easily spotted the large container poking out. Probably more of a D1 than D1.5! Nice to find another oldie. TFTC.

Hallo!
we were in a hurry so I quickly searched through the different toitoi bush but not found ...
sveppi and I have recently moved to the area from Rotorua. After a few months settling into new jobs and shopping/buying a house, it's not about time we get fit again! We've been walking up Colonial knob twice per week after work, and on weekends we are trying to put in a long bike ride. Today the goal was Spinnaker lookout, which, with a few detours, was a 15km loop on the bikes. I am pleased to say I biked up all the hills to here and back home, only had to push when sveppi took a wrong turn and we ended up on a steep hill with long grass somewhere at Ascot Park!
While we are here we might as well reward ourselves with a geocache, which was found easily, no gorse in the vicinity. Can tell this is an old one, the container is well worn and contents a bit damp. Log able to be signed anyways, thanks.

Recently moved to the area and are exploring by bike. Lookout was our objective of the day... glad to make it. Nice to see an old cache in play. TFTC
This one took a little bit of searching, the GPS would not settl. Got there in the end. Thanks
Today we are heading home so it is a slow trip to the airport from Plimmerton. We cached on the way and were in plenty of time to catch the big bird back to Christchurch. What a great MEGA weekend.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Nice walkway to get here, my friend broke her arm on it when were kids! Cache easy to find using hint. Dropped off a TB. Great views from here.

Eout doing some of the kiwi trail and picked this one up too. All good here. TFTC
Out and about to get a few Whitby caches and pick up some more of the solved kiwi. This was a quick and easy find with great views of the inlet. TFTC
Grabbed this cache on a sunny afternoon. dropped off a TB and a couple of swappable that we have been carrying around as the container is a good size. TFTC
We decided we did not want to search all the pampas grass. I can see how this would be a good way of stopping it being muggled.
Well blow me down . Came to stay with my son nearby and looked up caches. Sure I'd found this one with quinella as remember interrupting the prayer/meditation group nearby . Sure enough- check back to 13 February 2016!! I was with quinella and forgot to log it
TFTc anyway

Took some photos of the great view then game face on. Coords had me in the middle of the path. Noted 12m error from previous logs. I concur. Saw the intended hiding place but surroundings didn't match the hint. Found the cache there anyway! TFTC.
Once I'd found out which plant to look for it was easy. It's a drab grey day with the clouds sitting atop the hills: can see almost nothing today.
Very nice walk with great views. Cache all in good order. Collected TB and will help it on its way. TFTC
Quite a climb but worth it for the view at the top. Thanks for placing a cache here. Dropped off TB.
Found on a walk around a few local walkways. A bit weird arriving here to find a dozen people in some form of silent meditation! Ignored them to access the lookout. Great views. Thanks
17:50. Very easy find on top of a beautiful hill. First thought it was a piece of littler, so I made sure it was better hidden when I put it back. TFTC.
A bit of a hike up the hill and a quick find at the GZ. Then a stroll down to the lookout to admire the views, if a little windy. I wonder when the Time Capsule will be opened? TFTC
Went up the scenic route but did not have much difficulty in locating the cache. Selesi looked one side, I looked the other and Ulmuslynx nearby. Another place I didn't know existed! Still some snow on the Tararuas just visible over the furthest ridges.
Knew there were some steeper ways to get up here but chose the easiest. Fairly easy find by Selesi and Gilgul. A muggle dog walker came thru after we had checked the view out. TFTC
Parked in mercury way and made my way up to game zone. Tree felling on track on way up so had to wait for chipper to do its bit then escorted past. Easy find at game zone but whole area looks like its had a bit of a tidy up . Probably a bit more open now. Continued on down to spinnaker drive and looped back around to parking spot to make a decent walk of it. Thanks for the cache.
#656. Nice stroll up from the carpark in Mercury Way. Quickly spied a likely hiding spot and cache was found in first place checked. The area around the GZ has had extensive weed-eating and scrub clearing lately so it was easy to reach today. These plants form a nice dry cache home but there is a risk the Council may remove this hiding site as they are invasive weeds. Great views from the nearby lookout. Ten years and no favourites handed out. I'll change that today. Its a great spot to visit. TFTC
#1460 After beginning the hunt for the Blues Clues III multi and finding WP1 missing, we decided to continue up the hill anyway. What a fantastic view from up here! The cache was easily found and in great condition. TFTC! We'll be back again when the multi is reinstated
We quickly found this one this morning. Great spot for a cache, awesome views. Tftc.
It was raining this morning but gradually cleared up so we decided to go geocaching. Foolishly wore my puffer jacket - got rather warm - pretty sure I lost a kilo or two! Great views enjoyed by the two of us plus the eight other people and one dog milling around at the top. Was able to continue with assignment stealthily. Dropped off 1 x New World collectable.
WOW what a awesome view! it was a perfectly still night it was great thanks for the cache!
