hmmmm.....been in our gps for months, was going to head off to find....but had to race home.....good thing we did ! as we obviously would not have found it !!
Good hiding place - was a bit exposed so have put a bit more cover on it. TFTC.
Week day morning so a walk was in order. No problems at GZ although cache quite exposed. Tried to cover a bit better. TFTC, Biggles.
quick easy find first of three along the track beautiful day for walking. no muggles around nearest were fishermen on the beach. TFTC
2431. It was a good day for a walk around the island. There were plenty of people out today enjoying the good weather and having fun in the water and on the sand. Another good cache.
Thanks

Great day spent on Rabbit Island. The contents of the cache were a little wet, so I tried to dry everything out as best I could.
Yes like usual the Yeetrees don’t do it easy, yes we managed to take the long way around , but it was worth it managed to see some great bird and wildlife, found cache bang on with GPS, TFTC TNLNSL (391)

An easy find with Kwaka40. Such a lovely day for a ride out here. Number 3 of 9 today
A pleasant wander up the beach after lunch whilst the madder relatives went for a swim. A good way to let the food settle. TNLN Thanks.
Done this one on my MTB while the family sun bathed on the beach.Hot day to be cycling but quicker than walking when there are other caches further on that need to be found.TFTC grabbed geo coin.
Mr and Mrs Explorer headed out on their MTB's this morning, found this one and 2 others. Good to get back on our bikes after a long layoff. Thanks for putting this cache here to encourage us to get pedaling again. Cache was a bit exposed so provided it with some cover in the form of a piece of bark.

Pleasent cycle ride around the island. Replaced everything in the cache except log book. + 2 plastic bags + 2 pencils + sharpener + stash note + swap items.
Found the survey beacon and searched around a bit until my son "tripped" over the cache. Retrieved geocoin to take to Wellington. Both zip lock bags have broken. Pleasant shady walk. The sting rays are still on the beach.
Nice walk on the beach after the cyclone - lots of stingrays washed up! Dropped of geocoin
This one served three objectives at once: 1) do all usakiwi caches, 2) clean up Rabbit Island, 3) achieve an average of 1 cache found per day for the first 365 days. Reporting in on 1) todo: With An Axe, Hope And Courage. 2) todo: Ray's abound. 3) 3 days to go, 2 caches to do. Back to this cache. We left it a little too late to start the walk and things were getting pretty hot already. Not sure if it was heat stroke that made us miss the cache, but we ended up resorting to the clue. GPS was good under the circumstances - we just missed the spot! Argh! Never mind, we had another chance to heal the bruised egos at the next stop. - keyring + pewter bottle stopper, TFTC.
Decided to walk Rabbit Island and knock off a cache or three. This was the starter. Enjoyed the walk along the beach, and the wind was even dying down. Quickly found the cache. TNLN, TFTC.
Poor gps reception had me checking everywhere but the right spot for about 10 mins till I finaly tracked it down.

Reminds me of the highly entertaining Looney Tunes film. Thans 'Doc' USAKIWI for this cache. Another great day for walking.

Found the post but couldnt find it. The clue wasnt very helpful because there was so much grass and so many trees.

GPS took us straight to this one even though coverage was not great. Position was also nicely confirmed by the hint.
Found its all's well in the cache
NOTE their is a hole in the toy bag as I found half the things on the ground after I had put the stuff back in the cache, maybe the next person can shout it a new zip bag

We did this one on a evening beach walk. We had to hurry back though to get out before the gates were closed.

Co ords spot on. GPS took me to within 1.5 metres of cache. Nice bike ride while the saussies were cooking on the BBQ. TNLN.
Relatively easy find.
Was planning to sysle this, but had a catistrophic gear failure so ended up walking it with the kids.
TNLNSL. Enjoyed walking along the beach.

Found with Mrs Captain_S on a nice walk in the sun
Lots of cyclists today even when they are not supposed to use it other than Saturday and Sunday.
Next thing we know there will be cops there handing out tickets to them!

I did this as one of three caches on Rabbit Island today on my mountain bike. I'm glad I had the hints though, as the GPS did struggle somewhat under the trees. No exchange made. Cheers Gav [744]
I came by kayak from Monaco, lovely morning for it. Took Aunty Mooonbeam TB, left N.
Was necessary to move the cache to a new sight nearby. The path to the original site had become very obvious. Co-ordinates and clue have been altered.
A neat stroll on a lovely warm afternooon while we waited for our daughter to finish work at the AMP show. An easy enough find. Left TB Aunty Moooonbeam.
Aunty Moooonbeam decided she preferred the warmer Nelson weather and the beach was an ideal place to display her spunky new bikini. You go girl.....
nice morning for a walk

Dr's orders were to rest but I couldn't resist celebrating having a working GPS again with this very pleasant stroll, beautiful sunny day for it too. Nice easy find, good to be back caching again.

We both had the day off work and the head geocacher (labrador) was out with another family member, so we headed off determined to beat USA Kiwi to this FTF, completely forgetting that it was his cache! So of course we beat him!
We just loved the stroll - it was a perfect early spring morning enhanced by the knowledge that everyone else was at work!
We took the whistle and left a jandal candle.
Worth noting, that you can only cycle in this area on Saturdays and Sundays.
