###Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###
This geocache has been brought to my attention as being in need of an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache. See the [GCHQ Health Score](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713) process.
I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner.
The cache owner needs to:
* Take action to restore the cache or address any issues such as correcting the D/T rating.
* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log
* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done, and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present.
Otherwise :
* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary, or provide other information..
**Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this, that is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**.
Alternatively:
* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.
In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by Angel Dust and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.
[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)
**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.
If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache.
*Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is there, and in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.
Thank you

Supposed to be a relatively easy find, but after an hour just gave up. Pretty sure I was in the right spot and not that many hiding places. Will try again some other time.
Found and returned! What an awesome location, I'll definitely be returning sometime when the aboriginal museum is actually open
So we walked to the end of the walkway and then along the levee only to realise we were WAYoff course. Back to the end of the boardwalk and found a little down trodden 'path' through the mangroves. Now for an ex Darwin girl that was very hard to follow but I put my big girl trousers on and headed off in the direction of the cache. Well the bush was pretty THICK but we bashed our way through and finally came out on the trail we SHOULD HAVE taken along beside the river. GZ quickly located when we didn't have to be watching out for wriggling sticks. Followed the proper path back and it came out part way along the boardwalk opposite the bent looking information sign. Photo is the wrong way we went
My first geocache! I cheated because I knew this walk from bird watching but it's a very cool location if you haven't been here before. Thank you
Very cool hiding spot and great to discover this local track. Be careful of the big spider nearby ️️
Heading home from a family gathering in Ballina I had set a few target caches for Charli and I to collect. I had a tree climb, a couple of oldies and one to fill a space in my d/t grid. We still had to continue my trad a day and my cache a day challenges, which is now starting to become a difficult challenge due to fitting it in with my work and the lack of local caches. We had 4 caches lined up around the gold coast area and 1 in the Brisbane area, we were hoping all would be present.
This was our first cache for the trip home and a walk through the bush and mangroves from our park saw us reach GZ with no problem. Wasn’t sure what to expect here but it did help we went at low tide; we found the cache very quickly. With the log signed and cache returned I was pretty stocked that I nabbed another old cache. It was then off to hit another from our list for today.
So happy to have found this one, cache is in good order and dry, thank you placing this one here for us to enjoy.

Last time we came here it must have been king tide. So much easier to get to! TFTC
Was to be my FTF in NSW, but the holes in my feet did not allow me to walk on water, so I gave up. Thanks for the nice walk though.
This one’s been on the cards for years. Today was the day – a beautiful winters day and a low tide. Perfect weather. I walked along the boardwalks, which I had to myself today. Bought back memories of when I was here on a school excursion.
Made my way to GZ and found the stash quickly. I popped a trackable in the cache while I was there. Everything is in good condition. Loved finally having this one checked off. An awesome cache, thanks Angel Dust!

Lovely walk.
Peaceful area.
Your shoes might get muddy, even on a sunny day.

Another great one from Angel Dust although the original camouflage is starting to wear off so was easy to find. Left a yellow golf ball in there that I found on the way.
This was a very interesting walk and we enjoyed it.
We thought we have to wade but we left the boardwalk at about S28 11.705 E153 33.061 and walked east and found a path leading to gz.
Original log was very wet.
TFTC Angel Dust.

Early start to the day before the local CITO event with E_Smiley. Took the nice scenic boardwalk until it ended then turned back and found a nice little track that took us to the neat hide where a quick find was made.

Gotcha - Located pretty well straight away. Log extremely wet. Very hard to make our mark. Definately needs maintenance
Easy find! However it's very wet inside, so it was impossible to mark the log.
Probably could do with some maintenance. Being low tide, my feet stayed totally dry and you can walk all the way to the riverbank.

This is a regular birding spot for me when I visit my parents - collared Kingfisher and Mangrove gerygone are regular. Arriving at high tide wasn’t such a great idea so took shoes off for the last 49 metres - cache quickly found and signed - all very wet - TFTC
Rest assured, As is my custom, I came upon this cache hunt grossly unprepared. No prior research has been conducted and as a result I got wet.
No stress though, this is the kind of experience that I started this hobby for. I got lost, then found myself then got lost again. Plenty of bird life to marvel over too. Did my mention I got my socks off and got the toes wet too? Such fun.
After about 100 or so metres of off trail trudging I found GZ and the cache shortly thereafter. The cache itself seems in reasonable shape but the log has seen better days. I found a way to leave my mark and got back to my explorations. Such a cool spot I never knew was here.
Cheers for all the fun, it's left me in an even better mood after the swans got up over the crows last night. Cheer cheer!!

A quick find with Geo Hubby TB142 while on a caravan trip from Vic to QLD. TFTC.
TFTC!! Such a beautiful walk! Definitely a low tide cache! Log book sopping wet. Can't write on it. Thankyou!!
I was a bit confused initially when the boardwalk took me further away from GZ. I soon spotted a pathway off the boardwalk and, as it was low tide, it was passable!
I trekked the last couple of hundred metres to GZ along this path, and spotted a huge lace monitor on the way. It shot up a tree and it was great to see its gold/brown skin shining in the sun.
I've not seen many of these creatures before so it was great to see this fine fellow.
It's such an interesting environment here, and so peaceful.
Also good to see the old bin chickens (ibis!) in their natural habitat.
TFTC, fave point from me.

After a few wrong turns and some serious cross country hiking, I finally found this cache at low tide (ftf in 6 months woohoo!)
The cache is no longer a green box, it's a medium sized plastic jar. And the hint is a little misleading. Just ignore the levee part
Finally on the right path......

Wow, I wasn't expecting that, when I got to the end of the boardwalk and found I was getting further away, I was somewhat confused. Then I read the clue and turned around. Got to GZ, signed the log and the skies opened up and it bucketed down for a few minutes. Well done on a great cache and a fine adventure.
I think I came at the wrong tide time. I found the boardwalk, but the rest of the way was well & truly under water. I need a pair of those trout fisherman gumboots if I was going to get this one. I looked in my geocaching backpack for them and wouldn't you know it, it seems I left them at home. I will try another day at low tide
Epic navigational fail here...
We parked at the suggested coords and tried no less than two separate boardwalks and then meandered down to the golf course and along the side of a wire fence to a dead end in a feeble attempt to locate a track to GZ
Maybe next time I'll hire a helicopter and winch in to the cache

What a magical place, so serene, tranquil, the sounds and fresh air, I felt part of Avatar for a few moments amongst the greenery, and the walk along the river is absolutely stunning. The only person I crossed paths with was a little drunken fella haha.
Unfortunately my GPS wasn't working at all, but thank you so much for showing me this beautiful reserve.

Nice walk, and would never have thought to visit here had the cache not been here so thank you.
Lovely day to be out on the saltmarsh. Haven't been out here for many years. Lovely remnant red gums; a very special place amidst the urbanisation.
Thank you for the cache and the excuse to visit.

Awesome place, nwver knew it existed. Geocache hide remonded me of African plane. Great spot. Thanks Angel Dust
Tried to get to gz from the north with my kayak but fell short being caught out on a falling tide with deep mud and mangroves, nice place though
My Note 3 samsung gps didnt work here whatsoever..so went off tips from others. Fun spot close to home too
Out and about this morning for my daily walk.
With the tide going out the last couple of hundred meters was dry.
A quick find once at GZ.
Thanks for the cache.

At the carpark edge a fisherman told us how bad the mozzies were, so thickly applied aeroguard was worn. Once we were in the open it was ok, and the boardwalk provided an enjoyable wander. It was a bit of a guess which way to go for us non-locals, but common sense prevailed and we were soon on the sandy path. Once near, the GZ was obvious and the cache soon in hand. Thanks for a good walk. Added a toy took 0.
Thankful I got to explore this area. Have to bring the fishing rod next time.

Excellent walk in an interesting reserve. I misinterpreted levee, but finally got off the boardwalk at the closest point and walked east. TFTC.
We waited until low tide this afternoon to venture out to find this cache. A very interesting and enjoyable walk. After finding the cache we continued the walk, reading the information boards along the way, around past the Bora Ring then back to where we had parked. SL TFTC Favourite Point !
Nice walk along the river, tide was low making this a lot easier. 2nd cache today with Katiebelle on our Anzac Day hunt.

This morning I was dogless and could venture in here. A wonderful walk just as many had walked before me. A favourite from me. I timed it for low tide. Thanks angel dust.
Staying down at Tweed for a few days and I had this one marked to find. Nice walk on high tide along the boardwalk, a couple of big bream spotted. Another 300 odd metres through knee high tide was not anticipated but was a fun adventure! No giant goannas to be seen thankfully, log signed and we were on our way. Lovely area and a great walk. Thanks Angel Dust!
Great cache. Nice to explore some where we haven't been before. Left a travelbug trying to get to NZ.
I checked out this cache this morning on a recommendation from local cacher snazzyjazzy12. I certainly wasn't disappointed - this place was magical early this morning. A very light sprinkle of rain made the walk very pleasant. I was reading the sign on the boardwalk about how the river was "dead" when a massive fish leapt out of the water! Great hide. Tftc
Left the Jazzy woofa behind on this one, only to be accompanied by 'Sub', a local. He came over as I pulled in. I told him I was hunting treasure and he asked to come along! Well, being a local he told me the best way to go and of course I wanted to follow the gps and not get wet feet! Turns out his way was definitely quicker on the way back!
Loved the cache, what a fantastic place to visit, I didn't even know it existed!
Took 'Half shilling 1959' trackable to tour the Gold Coast.

Another great Angel Dust hide. A pleasant walk with some interesting reading along the way.

Left our bikes behind us for the last 150m as fallen trees blocked our path. Found cache quickly its a great hide.
