As there's been no cache to find or log to sign for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
A couple of years ago while walking this track and playing hide and seek with my little girl I came across this Cache. I was thinking 'oh no some kid has left their lunch behind', only to find the contents far from a sandwhich and apple. I read the note included and left it where I found it so that these "Geocachers" can continue on with their treasure hunt... not thinking any more about it.
Now that a friend has opened my eyes up to active Geocache tracking, I signed up here and thought it only fitting to start here with the first cache I (unknowingly) found:) Thankyou for being apart of my journey

Next time I am in Albany I will change the location of this cache as there seams to be some mugglers keeping an eye on this cache.
I do not want to see any more goodies getting stolen from here so will change the location and see what happens before putting geocoins or travel bugs back here.
Will be back in Albany very soon. Thanks for your patience.

Went searching just about dusk and didn't find it; didn't realize it had been disabled. Nice walk anyways! On visit from USA.
I know this is currently listed as inactive, but since we're local to the area, the Albany Canucks made a return visit here today after a previous DNF, and were able to come up with the goods this time - looks like GZ was several meters off for us on our first search. The cache container is in a nice location, and is in good condition - it's just the contents that are a bit thin: it currently contains only a sheet of paper serving as a log, a tea spoon, and a couple of business cards. Too bad some of the local kids seem to know about this one and pilfer its contents from time to time. But given the nice location and its long serving status as a geocache (more than 5 years now), surely as long as it has somewhat of a log book (visitors could always scribble their names on a paper), it could still serve as a legitimate cache in my view, as long as geocachers are warned not to leave any swaps or trackables inside it. So with that disclaimer, perhaps this geocache can survive just yet? TFTC.
Hi Phil & Sigrid, incidentally, when talking to my eldest son (17 yrs) about the day's caching, he said a LOT of kids know about this cache! He said he was shown it a couple(?) of years ago. Might be a good idea to shift it?
Found empty lunch box with Geobuddies after fish & chips at Ellen Cove.
Counts as a find in my eyes!! LOL

I found the cache, but like all the others say it has been muggled. A lot of muggles have found this cache and left their own bits and pieces in it so it isn't much of a find, but it was still fun to find.
Thanks to the small minded people who keep stealing the goods from this cache I am disabling it.
Maybe change the location at a later date.

There was an ideal and somewhat obvious hiding place directly at GZ (which for us was a `ROCK'), but the hiding place was empty - is the cache currently away on maintenance perhaps? Otherwise it just means that we didn't look hard enough, or in the wrong spot (we didn't have much time to search), and we will just have to return some other day, because we weren't successful in coming up with the goods today.
Didn't have a pen with us so I hope the photo will do. We walked up from Middleton beach enjoying the view.
Cache needs some maintenance

Rather sad find. Just a few scraps of paper left in the cache, not even the log book. Still Ellen Cove is always a beautiful walk.
Lovely walk along the beach from the caravan park. Surprise! Lots of shells! And then easy walk to GZ. TNLN. TFTC.
found it. a nice location, a pity that it has been cleaned out by a bunch of muggles. TFTF SL with lots of other muggle logs
An easy find, that hopefully won't be accidently discovered by muggles. Found after walking past the spot, then switching the GPS on just to check if any where nearby. Great walk. TFTC
A very windy day here, but aren't they all? The walk was lovely and we got some pictures taken. Unfortunately there were no whales to be seen today. #984
I walked up to ground zero and managed to have a reasonable period without any muggles passing by. The cache was quickly retrieved and the log signed. Thanks for the cache
we found this cache quickly an a very nice walk along the coastline of albany.
on these days you could see a lot of whales quite close to the beach, it was awsome for us, that never had the chance to see whales before!
thanks so much for showing us this nice spot

Headed to the boardwalk for a cache or 2,nice day for it. The whales were frolicking around at middleton which is always nice to sit and watch for a bit.TFTF
Enjoyed the lookout and the walk and view from lower lookout. Just love this part of WA. it is a bit like home but I've got to admit that the ocean looks a lot better than home in QLD. Thanks.
Lawrence family holiday to Middleton Beach for a week was made more pleasureable by this cache. Michael, Donna, Brittany, Joshua, Brandon and Georgia had a great time and a lovely walk. Thank you.
Found while on outing with daughter . Have walked by here many times but have allways had to many muggles to search in safety previously.
Exposed it might be, but apart from some muggle entries in the log, it is still here. Easy find in the end. Really enjoyed this walk. TN Left small bag and SL TFTC
On a short 4 day holiday from Perth. Cache was in one of my favourite spots but I can't help feel that it would be a little too easy to find accidently. This area really needs a cache so perhaps it would be good to move it a little. Anyway thanks to "Phil & Sigrid Justrackin", keep up the good work. TNLN, TFTC.
Took nothing and signed the log. Have to be quick to grab this one because of muggles. Left balloon, a coin and our calling card. TFTH & TFTC.
Found this as part of a group at ASHS activity day. Last one after the walk from Emu Point. Kids had a great time!
great hiding place, nice area and nice walking track. i enjoyed finding this cache
Visited this cache again coz my son wanted to drop off his own trackable item - just read the updated notes....might collect tomorrow coz he would be heart broken if it disappeared so quickly. What a shame it is such a good cache!
Went to retrive some of the trackables from this cache today but all of them are gone and none seem to have been logged as been taken.
We had been curious about the fate of TB's and GC's in this cache after not seeing any in there when we last did a drop. We checked again today and there are absolutely none in the cache. Some kids have obviously found it and have systematically milked it of anything of interest. A note needs to be made that no GC's or TB's should be dropped here, likewise no swaps.
Dropping off travellers. Didn't spot any of the other 5 that were supposed to be here - hope that it is just a case of not yet being logged
Just a quick note. Dropped off TB. Wants to visit caches around Australia. Thought this is a most suitable cache for its theme. Happy travels.
My first DNF
I had quite a thorough look around and nothing, so wonder if it may have been muggled?
Having said that my GPS couldn't make up its mind which way was really North so perhaps it was that.
Or maybe I was just crap that day!

found it but it had been moved suggest an new hiding place was out in the open where anyone could see it as you walked along,
A wet and gloomy late afternoon was not the best time to enjoy this spot - but it certainly deterred any muggles.
Picked up Eat, Meet & Greet geocoin from "A world of trees" in Balinup and placed it at "Ellen Cove Trail". Unfortunately did not record the tracking number and when returning the next day to get the number to move the coin on, it had disappeared from the cache. Hopefully picked up by a fellow cacher and will get back on track for its travels.
We removed the cigy to the garbage and left a postage stamp in place which mey be of help. Cache needs and new log book.
Went searching with my Albany-based brother in law. I was searching one area when he actually found the cache. Interesting hide which I might try. TNLN. TFTC.
great views... when i found the cache there were none of the listed trackables.... maybe they were cache-napped....
Thanks Magwing for your log...I have been contacted by one of the cache finders of this cache who didn't realize this was a bad place to leave a geocoin. Unfortunately, they left my George the traveling Penguin coin in here. They feel terrible and offered to replace it...very kind folks but not required for sure.
Note to thief: If you are watching this cache in hopes of stealing more geocoins know that there is a special kind of karma for you. Other cachers' travelers are not for the taking, release them and you will come to no harm. Continue to take what you want and my God have mercy on your soul.
And if you are a muggle...and most likely not reading this anyway..these coins are not put into boxes just for you. If it's not yours, don't take it!

Well. I didn't read the logs for this cache before I found this cache. However, after reading the log in the cache I was very suspicious that this is a very muggle friendly cache and was reluctant to leave a GC here. Looking on-line it appears that a number of GCs and TBs have gone missing here. So, appears that I made the right call.
On the bright side, it's a great cache and a beautiful walk around here. Once again reaffirming my view that a lot of cachers place caches in interesting places. Thanks, Just Trackin, for the cache.

We just discovered one of the "missing" TBs from this cache in a cache called Gargouille (GC13QBT). So perhaps the others will turn up elsewhere.
Very clever! We were about to go bush bashing when Geohubby found it. TN L - Plastic Easter Egg and chick and erasers, SL. No sign of any trackables.
Thanks for placing the cache...the walk trail needs further investigation.

We really enjoyed our walk along the boardwalk. The memorial plaques that are placed along the beams are a great idea. Located the cache without any problems. Found a small piece of a corn chip inside the cache which could have been the cause of the ant colony that had been set up inside. We did a thorough de-ant and de-cornchip and all is now in good order. Thanks for the hunt.
Beautiful day at Middleton beach and lovely walk to cache. Good place for cache. We left a little penguin surprise inside.
I was searching in all the wrong places until I took the hint. Then it became clear where the cache would be.

After our drive down from Perth we got settled in and then decided to take a walk and what do you know there is a cache right where we are walking
Great area! The walk around here is so well done and the lookouts are spectacular. A very quick find by wifey while I was looking no where near it.
Dipped the Jolly Cricketer TB to show him the sites, will drop him at a cache near an oval if we can find one.

WanderingAus wandered by on day seven of a 14 day meander through the Wheatbelt, Great Southern and Southwest regions of Western Australia, accompanied by his WanderingMrs (aka SWMBO). On the way to the cache I ran into Liz and Bruce, who had just found the cache and accompanied me back to GZ to make a GAFF 1 find at 5:45 PM. As a result of the meeting we are also able to claim GA0738 Spotto! by GeoMonkeys.
My find No 1256 and 23rd for the trip, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped Mr Sticky TB (ref = TB1RJVF), Mum's Dreams TB (ref = TB2AAZQ) and my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing them back again.

What a great area. Lots of people enjoying the beach today. We certainly enjoyed the walk to the cache - it was spectacular. As we were leaving gz along came someone else with a gps - it was great to meet WanderingAus and have a chat. Thanks Phil & Sigrid Justrackin for bringing us to this wonderful spot.
[:X]Happy Valentines day![:X]

Caching by bike was a good change. And I've been practicing at my spin class so I spun right past Javamama all the way.
We decided to extend our holiday and stay on in Albany for a few days. Staying at Emu Point, we rented bicycles and went searching for some nearby caches. We rode straight to this one and then rode back, caching as we went. Spa Susi found this one while I was fumbling to look for the description. What a lovely spot and a great way to spend the morning.
Took a detour from the Coastal Defence 1 cache to look for this one. I found it after Mrs HeckAreWe suggested where I should be looking.
Very enjoyable place to go for a walk.

Dropped off South Pointing Chariot GC and Hearts Away TB. Didn't see any other GC's in cache. I think they have been grabbed but not logged.
Found it quuickly before a lovely swim. This will be our last cache whilst visiting Albany.
Took Parents of Sam G.C.
Heading North, will try to find a nice spot for it!

on holidays from NSW. after 3 stops to park the car close ben finally found this one. thanks for the cache
Very beautiful view, the bay looked great. Had to sit and think about this one but it Mum found it again...
While the kids were swimming, it seemed like a good time to go wandering off for a cache find. The GPS was sending me towards the water, but decided to check some other places before heading downhill. Turns out instincts were right in this case. A very cleverly hidden cache; much bigger than expected. I grabbed the coin to take east - hopefully as far as the US, but at least in the direction of NSW. TFTC.
Fund by sheer luck as our tour guide decided to let us out on a rainy morning walk along the trail and we decided to check real quck if we have anything for caching and indeed, we did.
Thanks for a very succesful morning, with two caches before 9am. Beautiful!
TFTC - travelgirls
In: unfortunately nothing (since trade items were cached in earlier)
