Day 10 of my fortnight+ road trip up to Brisbane and back to Blue Mountains. A leisurely drive up. Avoiding GC power trails. Randomly driving to various spots that take my fancy. Geospouse Graubunden now with me for five days. This was one of my targeted geocaches for the old placement date for my Jasmer calendar. Dropped one TB "Road To Freedom 2" and retrieved one TB "Aussie Adventurer". Thanks Crew 153 for your hide, my 2249 find.
Out today before the rain is due to hit. The necessary information was collected fairly quickly then it was off to GZ. The cache was located exactly as indicated by the hint. The log was signed and I dropped two tbs before returning everything as found. TFTC
Not a huge fan of multi-caches, always second guessing my answers even if check-sum's work. I was unable to locate the first WP for longer than needed and given WP1 was attempted the time it was.. a number of locals were enjoying the footpath for their daily exercise. After much frustration, and re-reading and trying to change how I was deciphering the clue I soon had what I was looking for (slapping myself out of frustration for where it actually was and how hard I actually made it).Headed to WP2 on my way back to the car several hours later.. easily had the cache in my hand as it had been moved out in the open. Log signed, re-hid where I thought It lived. and soon crunched my way out of there. Thanks for the cache and the effort..
7th cache for the day. Thanks RoddyC! Picked up a painted rock. Thanks Kips Rocks.
Heading from the Gold Coast back towards Brisbane Direction and grabbing some of the old geocaches along the way. On our way back to Mackay and seeing what other spaces we can fill on the DT grid. Tftc slOn a caching holiday from Mackay. In the search of old caches and ones to fill DT grid spaces. Found TFTC SL Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
After an early morning start with alphag_25 leaving the Gold Coast and unfortunately heading home after a 3 1/2 week holiday. Ahh have to earn the money to take these holidays. Finding some of the older caches to fill in some spaces. Nice easy find. TFTC
Again on the BBB trail amd surrounding area after work. Enjoyed walking around caches in park and forest. TFTC.IN: 1 CZK coinOUT: TB
Out with Snigglypop for a day walking. Doing the BBB. Found after a quick search. Logged and replaced.
Thought we would try and do the M for March. Started with this one nice little walk TFTC.
Been on a list for me for quite a while. Interesting find complete with frogs / toads. Thanks for the cache and
I headed out on the geo-scooter for a few caches today.Decided to hit a few of the BBBBs and surrounding caches.I found your cache, Mimosa - SandPit today. This is my 2712 find.Stage 1 took longer than expected. Pays to read the hint. One I got what I needed, it was a quick trip to the final and to locate the prize.Crew 153, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
After an amazing event nearby, we had time to tackle this Multi! The hint wasn't really helpful for us. Even Google couldn't help with a reasonable translation into German, so we asked a previous finder who said in their log it was helpful. With that info, we took off a second time to GZ, and yes, now it made sense. We made the nice walk along the creek, found the cache and signed the log.Tftc Crew 153
Today I decided to work on the Mimosa series of caches. I got a bit distracted, though and only ended up finding the first two caches in the series. First up, I stopped at Mt Gravatt to pick up the last few caches there and then I made the mistake of going to Garden City for lunch on the biggest Sales weekend of the year. So many people! So much traffic!I was glad to escape from there and seek the solitude of the bush again. It was lovely walking along the creek doing this multi. I now understand why the cache is called Sandpit. The WP and cache were both easy to find and I noted down the other cache coordinates. I was enjoying this area so much I continued walking along the creek and found another 3 caches along here before heading back to the car and moving on to Whirlpool. Thanks Crew153 for the nice easy multi!
After an awesome event called "Winsome Wishart's Wondrous Waypoints" nearby, we took off with friends to tackle a new series in this area plus other caches.Found this cache with TBU1Bikesu Tftc
After morning troubles with my first mystery I needed a win. This one took me to where I used to run 20 years ago. A fitting one for my first multi Im not the nextTFTC
Wanting a multi for the next souvenir this one fitted the bill.
We weren’t confident at GZ of finding the required co ords but thanks to the hint they were easily found.
A very pleasant walk along a well constructed path led us to the cache which was found easily. All was in order and the log was signed and returned.
Thanks Crew153 for the cache. A FP from us.

Coming up from Gold Coast to get my 100 for the month. I may have to do some night caching to get there
Still it’s fun to come up and explore these new places.
The cache was easy to find. I like the idea of the coordinates.
The logbook was pretty damp though.
I had an enjoyable afternoon caching.

Found in good condition on a hot day while wandering with some crazy friends. Mr Fangsoki talked me into testing out his escooter and while I did quite enjoy my initial trial at snail speed I was a bit scared on “normal” speed and there was no way I was testing “tubbo” speed

I was hoping to get most of a day to myself for caching today, and had planned to begin where I left off yesterday.
However plans have a way of going awry, and I ended up making my way over this way even later than yesterday’s attempts. Therefore I decided I would not head quite as far south to the Oxley series, and instead begin work on the Mimosa series.
I had a nice shady spot to park my car, then I headed down to where I made a quick find of the required information. That took me on a short but lovely walk, with a few delightful little surprises along the way.
At GZ I wandered over and quickly made my find, and only just happened to be back out on the track, where I was typing my info in for the next caches, when a jogger headed past.
Well that was close!
Thanks for the cache Crew 153.

Went for a walk today and thought to check it was still there as I know there was a Trackable in it. Grabbed it to keep it going.
We were up here for a few days for my daughters aerobics competition and we were staying nearby in an Airbnb. In between competition and the other family members lazily lying around enjoying their holiday I went out to look for caches every now and then when I could even if I only had an hour or so. Gladly it rained a lot less than Melbourne has been lately and I could even get the shorts back on as well which was nice.
I had known we were coming here for a few months so had all these puzzles solved with the help of the kids.
Today was a busy day but I still wanted to find a multi so this one was it. I am surprised no one ruins the start point for this one. After a lovely stroll along meeting a couple of random dog walkers dogs we soon had the cache in hand. Dropped off a TB that wanted to go to North Queensland that I brought to Brisbane from Melbourne so I got half way there.
Thanks Crew 153 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

I've done much of the similar Oxley series so decided it was time to start this one. Found the first waypoint and then the cache easily. Logbook is damp but was able to sign ok. Took note of the next co-ordinates. Enjoyed the walking track. Tftc
& I thought it’s time to start this oldie series as I’m looking to build my way up to catching , who has qualified for the top 500 & 1000 oldie challenges. This cache was found signed & logged
Muggle65 and l decided to start this series as we need to come to this area a few times over the next couple of weeks. Everything is still right where it should be
Today was another drive to the southside of Brisbane. Main targets where old caches. What I need is 2006 or older.
I was back here to find some more caches from Crew 153.
Later today I meet up with The Green Geckos, Muggle65 and Mummy Bear and her cubs to get the final for Love/Hate series. Yippee
Had a great day out.
I got 24 finds for today the breakdown was. 9 traditional, 2 mystery, multi, letterbox and 3 adventure labs with 11 waypoints.
Sorry for the generic log

This afternoon, I thought I would take a drive down south to Wishart, with my target to commence the *Mimosa* series from *SandPit*. It was a nice creek path, and I continued along the area exploring around Malinya Place Park. As I was approaching my planned timing for being home for dinner, it was a final stop around Eight Mile Plains.
It was a nice walk along the creek today, as it was very shady which was good. At the posted coordinates, it was a quick find of the clue with thanks to the hint. So I continued along my journey, passing a few Christmas decorations and various trinkets, arriving soon after at GZ. After a short search, I managed to make the cache find, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Crew 153 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. Another of Queensland's oldest yet active geocaches from the list found, with this oldie hidden in 09/2005!

I had to dropping junior DisSister on the darkside for an activity today and I had the choice of returning home or heading out to find some caches. It turned out to not be a difficult choice and here I am. I’m slowly working towards finding 250 of the 500 oldest caches so was happy to include a few from this series in my targets today. A lovely walk through here this morning. The cache was found nice and easily and is in great condition.TFTC Crew 153

Today Willis007, Nayfee and I decided to make the Mimosa series our mission. Willis007 had already completed some of them but was happy to take us to the first few so we could finish together. We had a late start to the day but did manage to complete the whole series in 6 hrs (with a few side-tracked extra caches).
Now that I have found this, it all makes sense. About a year ago Miss10 (then 9) and I had tried to find this one. We were looking for a cache because we didn't know about waypoints. Glad this is now completed.

Out with TripleTurmoil, Willis007 and Bella the Geodog for a day of caching on the south side while paying close attention to the Mimosa series and grabbing a couple other caches along the way.
We met at the posted coords and TripleTurmoil and I began our hunt for those magical numbers, sure we spotted them quickly and we were off to GZ. We spotted a promising location for a cache so I wandered over to check it out and sure enough the cache was in hand and nearly a Huntsman to, you cheeky motherfuuu... Arrrgh!
We quickly signed the log while keeping a very close eye on the Huntsman. With the cache back in place as well as the cache guardian we were off to finish the rest of the series. I have a feeling this is going to be a good one.

Maybe last of about 6 tries to find caches today and this is the only one found. Second attempt for this one.
What a spectacular walkway. So lush and green.
I thought the view was pretty good at the WP. Then I arrived at GZ and that view topped it. A lot of people out using the path this afternoon but I was the only one taking a moment or two to appreciate this beauty.
TFTC!

This is a great idea for a series. After the process of finding another and then failing at the next one, I’m confident I’ll thoroughly enjoy the Mimosa journey. Fav

After almost completing the Oxley series ( I have to collect the final cache) and loving that series I have been wanting to do this series. After work I normally bike ride with my best friend but she is away for a few days so I took my bike here. I ended up riding 6km though this lovely park. This was a fun multi and once at gz I read the hint which made for a quickish find. Thanks for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy.
Out and about this morning, needing a multi today I had this as a target.
The final coords found quite easily, geopup and I enjoyed the stroll to the final. We found this cool bear crew hanging out along the way.
At the final gz, cache was easily found. Log signed, all replaced as found with some additional natural cover, we headed back to the car to continue our adventures.
Thanks Crew153 for the cache.

We had a look at this series last night and thought it looked like it could be fun so off we set this morning hoping to find a few. In fact we found them all today. But first, this cache...
At WP1 it took us a while before we spotted something that matched the hint. We got much closer for a better look and there were the coords we were looking for.
We walked on to GZ where we found the cache quickly as it was lying out in the open in the centre of trees. Placed it behind the back tree as per the hint with a bit if camo on top for good measure. Cache is in good condition.
Thanks Crew 153.
Off to the next cache we went.

Out today to continue my challenges of a trad a day and a cache a day, I was invited on a tag along drive trip with JACS TEAM, hitting some target caches. It was good for me to experience and see how effortless caching can be and I learnt heaps from the experience of Sheridan; thank you for a great day.
Our target caches were aimed at the d/t grid, attributes and challenge aspects. There was one particular cache that helped JACS TEAM complete their 6th loop of the d/t grid, congratulations.
This cache I required for a reason in which added to my 360 degrees challenge. An easy find and with the new coordinates I was off to grab the final and the clues for the next caches in the area. Cache was nice and dry and with log signed and cache returned it was off to the next one on our list.
Thank you for placing this one here and I will be back to grab the others in the series at a later date.

Having completed the Oxley creek series some months ago, we decided it was time to make a start on this series. We parked the car not too far from the first waypoint and walked there where we found the information we were seeking very quickly. The marker is in very good condition. Then it was off to GZ on this beautiful autumn day. A little bit of water in the creek nearby and the sound of some water birds accompanied us on our walk.
Log signed. All good here.

Made a start on this Mimosa series this morning.
Way point easy to find and once numbers entered in phone i was off on an enjoyable stroll to GZ.
Cache is easily accessible and in great condition. Log signed and cache replaced as found (after noting waypoints of course).
Coordinates in both instances were good.
Thanks for introducing me to this lovely area and TFTC Crew153

I had some time to fill in nearby today so made the most of the opportunity to visit this fine oldie. WP1 was found quickly and I enjoyed my walk surrounded by nature on the way to gz. I saw a very cool and VERY big lizard chilling out close by, as well as some beautiful water birds perched on branches. The container was found all in good order and my name added to the log. After seeing these all over for years I finally had a chance to start on them. This one's in a really nice spot that feels familiar ... got it! from photo finish about 5 years ago. Pretty easy hide...
Today is the day to get a start on the mimosa series. So and final found with in good order with coords spot on. Tftc
Out riding today for the Great Cycle Challenge day 20... and realised this e as the start of a series I've looked at previously.
Quick detour and I had the info I needed and a short backtrack found me signing the log. Great cache. Thanks

This was a nice wander and then after searching the wrong places (blimmen GPSr's bouncing all over the place!), Eskies5 called out that she'd found the waypoint. Oh, you clever thing you. Nicely done. We updated our coords and set off to GZ where a quick find was made. Thanks for this neat little multi, Crew 153!
A short wander down the path and a quick glance in the direction the compass was pointing I had a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach as no where looked like the hint. After a bit of a head scratch I turned around and...maybe??! There it is! That's clever...haven't seen that before. Another wander and we had ourselves a log. TFTC Crew 153

Monday. We were in the area today and wanted to get some good caches. This series was one that I’d saved to my phone months ago, so we decided to see how many of them we could find. This was the first one and Luke was the one who spotted the nicely placed co-ords for this cache. We passed a lovely creek running as it had rained heaps only yesterday. We noted the finals down and then made our way to GZ where we had to wait whilst some muggles left. Soon had the cache container in hand and replaced it back under the SPOS. We noted down the co-ords for the next 2 caches in the series and headed off.
This was the 1st of 5 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Crew 153***, for showing us this place. PS, we had a bit of a chuckle over how many younger cachers may not know what the first part of the hint means

We finally found our way to this geocache tonight, in the dark. Found the first stage in a relatively easily and then took a cool walk to the final site, which was also was a quick find. The box was sitting completely exposed so we put some sticks on it.
Spent the arvo visiting a few caches close to my old work picking g up some caches I never had the time to stop for. This one included.
The first clue wasn't on a bessa block so much as a metal post. It was a short walk along the lovely Bulimba Creek to reach the cache, which I was on top of before I knew it.
Busy but lovely little patch.

Out and about in this area, and we fancied a stretch of the legs. The waypoint and cache were both easily found, although there are already a lot of mozzies around... Must be insane here during the summer! TFTC, looking forward to the rest of the series, but I'll be sure to bring my bushmans!
Pleasant walk to this multi to discover it sends me on a trail to locate more Mimosa! What a great idea!!! Notes taken despite a walking muggle giving us a weird look! Just admiring the tree mate!!! TFTC
Came to area unsuccessfully chasing an oldie. While in the vicinity had also targeted a number of Mimosa caches that spawned from this one. So had to check it out!!
Took the step down and noted the final coordinates. Pleasant walk to the final where the container was found in good order. Signed the new log and took note of the next few in the series. Thanks for maintaining this series Crew 153.

Took the stroll with the CO while he did maintenance. A lot of family muggles taking a stroll along the path.
I was in the area - kinda - so decided to make a start on this Mimosa series that I've been ignoring for a few years now. Parked at a likely starting point, wandered in to the WP and collected directions for the next stage. Very clear and simple. Took me back almost to Suzee (how awesome) and a quick simple find at GZ. Simplez as the meercat would say.

Had some trouble finding the besser but upon reading through the past entries realized we were looking in the wrong place then found it easily. Didn’t have much trouble finding the cache however coordinates are missing
On a bright autumn morning, the birds were chirping, the flowers were brimming, the pixies were spreading joyful luminescence, the people were smiling, the cows were content and I could feel a giant s#!t coming on.
I squeezed the glutes and set sail to find what I needed to find this cache. There was once a time I was worried about people walking and riding past when I’m trying to find coordinate information, but I now realise they are more scared of walking past an old goose making strange sounds like a hermit hanging out in the middle of nowhere. I think I made some grandma rush home for a pregnancy test.
OK. The WP coords are bright and shiny but I still had to put my reading glasses on for a double check, triple-check and whatever check is bigger than three. Time to get on the trail and groan like Frankenstein to scare the precious jewels away.
I was quite impressed when I found the cache because I was expecting sloggy corruption but instead found a nice dry spot. I was worried about all the people I saw walking and jogging and thought this was going to be mission impossible but they all cleared just as I started the hunt. I need to forget to apply deodorant more often and stop logging when I’m on the turps. tftc

I was worried about all the people I saw walking and jogging and thought this was going to be mission impossible but they all cleared just as I started the hunt. I need to forget to apply deodorant more often and stop logging when I’m on the turps. tftc
Thought I would have a look at this one as I could do with a few more multis to finish off a challenge in NSW. Found WP1, plugged the finals into the phone and trotted off to GZ. Located the container but as previous finders have said, the logbook is a sodden mess and the coords for the next two caches are unreadable. Dried out the container and replaced the log book and sent a message to the CO. TFTC Crew 153
This was my target cache while out riding today, so i bee-lined to it first, then i figured to circle out from there not having cached in this area it was all new and exciting.
Arriving at wp1 was quick and painless with only one bemused muggle questioning my sanity before shuffling on. Gz was also straight forward, except as other cachers have mentioned, the following coords have somewhat deteriorated. The log is also a sodden mess. I didn't have any spare paper or ziplock to refresh sorry. Managed to squeek out a log on a random page.
Thanks for showing me this funky bikeway!

Zacgyver has told our story here. So glad we were able to finish the multi with info from the CO. A good line of caches here.
Out with Bristracker on a very hot day today, picking up some caches between appointments. We found the first WP without too much searching and headed to the final cache. Bristracker found the cache. Unfortunately the moisture had removed the east coords from the next couple of cache coords that we needed. I took a photo and sent it to the CO and Bristracker rang him and he kindly provided the missing info for us. TFTC
On my second visit I found it easily today but the log was very very wet but I was able to leave a sort of a signature. I had a bit of difficulty finding WP1 at first but then it was easy today. Couldn't retrieve the next 2 sets of co-ords so had to message CO who was kind enough to send them to me. TFTC
Have had a couple of looks for this cache, besser too close to people's home for me. I'll come back again.
Not too much effort to find both wp and cache, coords were accurate in both places, which is always nice clues for next two caches noted, although cache was waterlogged which made the log book impossible to sign.
This was the first of nine on our hit list for today. Found both the waypoint and the final cache nice and quickly.
First cache for the day. This was a nice and quick walk to get the finding underway!
Had a nice stroll to WP1 from the other side of the bridge. Info quickly gathered. However took a while to find cache due to all the leaf litter. But it was where I first looked although I just didn't look hard enough. Clues noted for the next in the series. Fun idea.
Mrs Just a Trifle was out for a day of caching fun with Raynersinoz and barbbowman. As usual, we tried to select specific caches which would assist at least one of us with achieving various goals we each have
We all had a great time along the way as we got closer to ground zero and t didtn't take very long for barbbowman to spy the information required to locate the cache [^] Overall we had a very enjoyable day
Thank you Crew 153 for having placed the cache for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Today is my birthday, and what better way to celebrate than to go caching with barbbowman and Mrs Just a Trifle I have done some of Crew 153's Oxley cache series, which I've enjoyed (I need to finish it off) and seeing we were in the area today, we thought we could start the Mimosa series. We had visited this spot a couple of weeks ago for Photo Finish and it was lovely to return to this pretty park. We felt like a walk so we took the long way to get to the first waypoint, it was such a lovely sunny day, I love this time of year in Brisbane. bb spied the coordinates for the final and it was very handy that GZ was on the way back to the car It didn't take us long to make the find and we soon had the long signed and the coordinates of the next two caches recorded. TFTC Crew 153, I'm looking forward to the next Mimosas.

Beautiful spot for a multi . Another hidden gem I was totally unaware of until I found it geocaching! The birds were all singing, the butterflies were flitting about and lots of flowers in bloom. Whilst I was looking about for WP1 a few cyclists whizzed past enjoying the view. Having a dad as a plasterer who liked to build things out of besser blocks on the weekend with us kids really helped here!! After inputting The final coords it was a beautiful walk there. I had the whole place to myself, magic! At GZ, a good little hide revealed itself, I signed the log, noted the next set of coords and sauntered back to the car . Gotta love the weekend!!!

Man living across from the coordinates complained of people climbing up to his fence as there is a family of quails nesting in the grass there and people are disturbing them. Found besser block but nothing there
TFTF went back for another look, thanks for the hint. Will have to be more observant in future

Made a start on the Mimosa series today. I have not found any GC caches for a while now. Too busy Summer Scavenging. It has changed a lot around here since I lived there 16 years ago. My parents are still in this area and walk these paths daily. Looks like geotrails up to the neighbours besser wall...it's not there folks...lol. Found besser took photo of coordinates as it was easier than sticking my head in the creepy overgrown understorey and trying to read upside down. Then walked down to where GZ is noticing the giant ant mound Vennfamily had mentioned. If anyone is coming down here on Australia day just a warning there is going to be a fun run here....muggles will be swarming the place. Found the cache, the log book has no plastic bag so i gave it a bag. The log book has been stuck to the lid and half the cover ripped off but thankfully the next 2 sets of coordinates are still attached to the log book. Just one small huntsman guarding the cash. All good here. TFTC Crew153
