After just visiting [Oxley - Dragon Drop](https://coord.info/GCQGDR) and obtaining this geocache's coordinates, this seemed to be the next logical visit and it wasn't too far. An interesting area to visit as I passed through nice and neat suburbia, to then be quickly hit by a forgotten mosquito-borne bushland area full of litter and unwanted debris. A short walk from where I left my car, and the nicely-sized ammo can was found reasonably quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [Crew 153](https://coord.info/PRPH14) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 09/2005 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 500 oldest yet active geocaches. It was also nice to have found this cache with 531 days [17.4 months / 1.45 years] of unfound love since its last find on 29/04/2023.----------Today on my Friday off work, I had the day to meander through the southern suburbs of Oxley, Durack and Forest Lake. With no definitive plans, it was a case of having a general plan and seeing where the day took me. It probably involved more walking than intended, with the days heat causing slow and lethargic conditions, but I enjoyed the long walks in Oxley Common and Archerfield Wetlands. As I headed through the southern suburbs, I stopped at a couple of Locations of the [Mascot Wars Episode II: Attack of the Binnys](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/ec31fd07-d344-49a0-b7c8-0e78708c5b35) Adventure Lab. A few more of the *Oxley* series were visited, and then I closed out the day at Forest Lake completing the [A stroll around Forest Lake](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/be586bb7-6786-46a8-956f-6568d92d0be8) Adventure Lab.
I spent an enjoyable 9 days travelling all around Logan and surrounds searching for caches with friends and family as part of GCLogan activities. As we had a chunk of spare time today, we decided to try to locate as many of this series as we could. Always like searching for older caches, they are getting more and more rare. After finding a way in through the tangly growth, we zig zagged towards GZ. A short distance before we reached it, we saw a plastic rubbish bag and decided to collect it. Imagine our surprise when it contained the cache. On our way out again, we stopped at the huge pile of pots and saucers that had been dumped and collected about 50 to dispose of them appropriately. It feels like we didnt really make a dent in the mess though. Thanks for hiding and maintaining Crew 153
Driving the kids around all day today to their friends places and activities. I happened to be coming near here so I thought I would stop and take a look. Lots of grass, fallen trees and viney branches so it was slow going looking around. I tried all of the tress including one with a big pile of logs at the base. Eventually I expanded the search and went a bit further and when I looked around I saw it easily. Getting to it was a bit of a challenge but I got there in the end.
The log is very soggy but I was still able to write my name so I returned it the way it was. I made my way back out and got back to the car before realising I forgot to look for the next coordinates. I figured that if I can’t find the next cache I can always come back here and get them another time now that I know where it is.
Thanks for the cache Crew153. It’s a very interesting section of the creek here and I’m surprised there aren’t many other caches around this area.

No luck for me today. I tried to search but it’s very overgrown and the light was fading. Another time
Out today to grab a few more oldies and a Adventure Lab.
I found 3 mystery, Traditional, Letterbox and a Adventure Lab with 5 waypoint. In the end I got 10 finds for today.
These two cache were my target ones today

This series seems intent on sending us into long wet grass with lots of mosquitos. A short bushbash through long thick grass down into a riverbank and the cache is spotted. Logs, notes and a 'yay' and we're out before turning into parambulatory piñatas for various blood sucking critters, despite the fiendish intentions of CO. Thanks for placing.
Last find for the day. A great day out caching with Elemental6. No DNFs! We’ll continue this series hopefully soon. Thanks for placing.

Caching today with RoddyC Snickersallan and grannysmith1947 to continue finding the Oxley series and to pickup other smiles in the area.
Poor hint. Might have been good in its day (like me) but now it is resting.

Yes, despite having logged this in 2014, I was back today to check the cache for coordinates to the next in the series, since having lost them some time since first coming. The area seems to have changed considerably, and I seem to remember the cache being located down a different road, but here we are.
Again, all good here at this cache. Yes, a little off from where we found the coordinates to be, but still very findable once you put down the phone and have a look about.

This took way too long to find. My phone GPS was bouncing a bit and I was looking for a V tree as per the hint - nothing at the obvious V tree. Spread my search towards the river but I was heading further away from GZ, so back following numerous tracks in the long grass. Back on the original trail, my GPS said I was within 2m and there it was - well hidden - I had almost walked over it. I couldn't see any V tree. Picked up the co-ordinates for the next two. Tftc and series.
Out on the southside picking up a few target caches, in particular the Oxley series and Running Person geoart, with lots of others grabbed along the way.
Wow the area is getting built up fast but not down this end. Made my way through the overgrown bush to find a great cache waiting.

Having a wonderful day out with my caching buddies chamad, Triple Turmoil and NayFee, after gathering the co-ords for this cache from an earlier cache in the series, we made our way out here to find this one.
All good with this one, information noted for the next couple in the series.
Thanks Crew153 for placing the cache here and for the fantastic series.

Out with Chamad, Willis007 first thing this morning and TripleTurmoil joined us later on. We had an action packed day full of adventures. We walked through cemeteries, creeks, bushland, highways, you name it, we probably did it. The day started bright and early at the dead centre of town then we got started on the Oxley series which took us to many wonderful locations.
I do apologise for posting a generic log, I really enjoy finding caches, but when it comes to logging I suck at it, especially when I’ve found so many. We did 27 caches and at times they all merge into one.
I want to thank each and every CO for placing caches at these locations and for keeping them going.

After our breakfast stop we meet up with Triple Turmoil and our (Willis007, Nayfee and myself) plan to grab some of the Oxley series began. We started at Pamphlet, the next was canoe and then we continued to work our way through the series, grabbing details for the next caches. We signed the logs and caches as found we then continued onto the next in the series. We even grabbed a few others as we passed while on our travels in this series.
It’s always a fun day when the four of us get together, pranks, jokes, laughter and even some informative conversations. It’s all fair when the pranks get played on yours truly.
With 15 caches in this series and with the distance to be covered there was no way we were going to complete all in a day, but if we get half way I will be happy.
All good with this one a nice find thanks for placing this one here.

Nayfee, Chamad, Willis007 and I had a spare day. Perfect! Caching it is. During the week it was decided that we could make a start on the Oxley Series.
Bit of a traipse with the mozzies. But all is good with this cache.

This one has been at the top of my hit list for a very long time. Today I was headed to a park nearby for parkrun and it wasn’t until I had finished and thought I should see what hides were in the area that I realised just how close this one was. No way I wouldn’t be giving it a shot. After quiet a bit of a hunt I eventually got myself to GZ and found what I had been looking for. This one was in perfect condition although a little buried having sat here for a few months u found. Name placed in the log and I was on my way. TFTC Crew 153
Nice find in the fading light of the evening. Wasn't too difficult to get to but the tree is no longer a tree, just some composting wood now.

I finished work early today, so I decided there was time to drive over and collect another oldie from the Oxley series. I parked up and headed toward gz, getting caught, poked, scratched and tangled before reading that the tree was no longer upright. A bit of a retreat and I spotted the container somewhere I had already walked past. I retrieved it carefully and added my name to the log, noting the clues fr the next few in the series. Tftc Crew 153
This was our last cache of the day and at 48.6 kilometres from home we knew we had pushed the limit. I could have maybe driven on a bit more but I was scared to drive through the 50k barrier and some sort of force field smashed my body into a million bits. Normally I wouldn’t think the government was that smart but if they can track my location and whom I’ve come into contact with then I wouldn’t put it passed them to track my internet porn history.
GZ was a bit hard to navigate with all the spikes and fun growing in every direction but after checking the base of every tree still standing we started reading through the logs and the last beautiful finders left a key note that the tree wasn’t standing any more. For those that say we shouldn’t hurt the feelings of trees, those greenies need to plug a few electrodes into their nutbag and turn it to 11. GZ is wild and I haven’t had this much trouble moving at a speed of a metre per hour since I was a snail smoking crystal meth. tftc

First for the day and the car GPS very nicely placed us on the wrong side of the creek. I hate that woman!!! Luckily we found a spot to rock hop over. We were looking for a while unable to utilise the clue at all. The cache was then spotted by Team ARF at the base of the fallen V tree!!! Thanks for this great old series!
Another cache in the Oxley series, it has been a few months since I found the previous one.
With new coordinates from this cache I can now continue.
This hiding place might not match the hint any more, spotted the cache in the corner of my eye.
This became my cache #2000 for 2019, need 140 more in November
Thank you for this series

First find on a very warm day chasing oldies on the South Side. After failing to find the Oxley dragon went against the flow to see the holes. Arriving where the car GPS sent us, arrived at the wrong side of Oxley Creek and thought, well this find will have to wait another time. Not to be beaten, went down and spotted a track and decided to follow it to look for a shady glen. Not only was a nice little spot found, there were strategically placed rocks to get across to the other side. Now that did save some time!!
The two issues in coming this way were the steep creek slope and the razor grass which opened up the claret on the leg. Spotted the cache in what was left of the Y tree. Thanks for maintaining this cache Crew 153.

Sunday. Wow, coming up to this area, it is so new! Lots of new housing projects going on and, unfortunately, some of them decided to just dump their crap near GZ. Que Sera has only recently found this cache and was just saying that she’d found it quite quickly, so I was hoping for the same. I think it was several minutes later and we were both still poking and prodding. Got there in the end! How could I miss that!! Well, it was hiding behind the tree. Nice big sized container here. Just a shame that some people can’t lodge their waste at a proper facility.
This was the 7th of 18 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Crew 153***, for showing us this place.

I finished work early today so I decided to pick up a couple more in this series. This area is looking good with nice new houses . At gz I was greeted with long grass but not bad. There was a geo trail and to those looking be careful of the holes, watch where you are going not your phone . I just missed this one hole by as Maxwell smart would say . this much. Any way at gz I soon spotted the cache and took photo of the next cords. will probably only have time for 1 more today. Thanks for all the fun.
Out today to grab a cache or three for the souvenir for New Year. Parked nearby and walked through the bushes to GZ where we found the cache waiting for us.
SL then returned as found.
Lots of new neighbours going to be moving in up the road by the looks.

Found by Mary & David with GeoJo, at 1610. Our expedition sallied forth into the head-high jungle. We paid about $10 for a lantana plant in Melbourne, and it is a weed around here. Found ok after a brief search at GZ. Our thanks to Crew 153.
Lots of rubbish at the start of walk but nicer as we walked in. Glad to have a hint as so many possibilities. Haven’t seen one of these containers for a while too. Tftc!
This was definitely the last one for the day, as it was now getting close to sunset.
After finding Dragon drop, we headed to this one and parked close by to GZ.
Nice to read that the geocache was so close to where we parked the car, but of course that doesn’t account for the adventures and the long grass on the way in.
We got ourselves close to GZ, however we did need to keep moving around until we could finally locate what we were looking for. We signed the log, collected a little more information so we can come back another day and continue this adventure.
Thanks Crew153 for another adventure in the series.

In the area and saw I had the coords ready and waiting for the next one in the series. I found a park within 28 metres of GZ so that was positive but I knew from previous experience that I needed to take some cement as the cache is in there and by there I mean overgrown, viney, snake city . So I pulled on my big girl... and dove in finding a pathway of flattened grass, ducking through some vines and through some less overgrowthy parts to finally make it to GZ . In one piece I opened the great looking cache and dries a bone too. Left a dino and took a butterfly . Signed the log, put it all back, sneaked through the vines thinking I hope the next Oxley is easier.... whoops forgot the coords!! Back I went retrieved the info, locked up shop and made a hasty somewhat more straight line hustle back to the car! Hallelujah thanks for the cache . Ps just noted some unloved days for the collection!
It's a Wednesday wander with bb and Mrs JAT this week and we have a beautiful, sunny day to go caching
Last Oxley for the day and we didn't have to cross any water. Yay! The hint was very handy and it didn't take us too long to find the cache. We also got some more coordinates, so the hunt for the Oxleys can continue. TFTC Crew 153

well this was a very pleasant surprise
we had read the logs and were a bit worried
should not have been
bone dry and not so overgrown made for a nice walk in
glad it is tethered
took glow in the dark bear sticker
left green ribbon

Got to drive down a familiar road to get to this one which was good, but a different part of it I hadn't explored much of before. We eventually came nearer to where we needed to be and parked accordingly. ODST 501, the little tike and I made our way down to where it was telling us GZ was located, of course I figured that it would be located on the side I was on, but no such luck for me, lol. It turned out I had to cross over the creek and make my way to the other side which thankfully I was able to do without getting wet. Left my mob on the other side where they entertained themselves while I got to it and attempted to find the cache. I must of looked and re looked at least a dozen times in spots I assumed it would be and the GPS was of course not being too helpful in narrowing down a location. Eventually something stood out to me and as I had spent a bit of time searching I figured, why not give this new spot a try. Sure enough it was where I should of headed all along, called out to the boys that I made the find, took a pic, signed the log and jotted down co-ordinates for the next caches in the series. While filling that out I also realised we had made an unloved cache loved today so that was a bonus. Everything good here, cache back in where it should be awaiting others to add their names to the log. TFTC.
I wasn't going to do this one today, but made a quick change of plans on my way back from Ipswich when I figured I had the time spare for this
I did make a blunder though, as I'd tried to come at this one from the South and hadn't realised there was a road closure that stopped me in my tracks and forced me to back track and go further around and come in from the North
So arriving from the North, I still had to go past a road closed sign which said open to local traffic only. I figured that applied to me as I definitely live in Brisbane
Once I had the geomobile parked as close as GZ as I could get, I still had a bit of a walk to get into the cache. The creek crossing was ok and I didn't have to get my feet wet
I could see a bit of a geotrail. A few zigs and zags near the final, so I figured it must be a geotrail! I had to read the clue again as I wasn't finding the hiding spot immediately? So, read the hint and made for a likely looking spot. Once I was a bit closer I realised I could actually see the cache container. You gotta love ammo tins
Grabbed the logbook and signed it. Also grabbed the next two sets of coordinates for the series. I was tempted to grab one of the swap items in the cache, but unfortunately had neglected to bring any swaps in with me. The swaps were back in the car, and I didn't fancy making the trip there and back again, as by this time it was getting quite warm.
I took a picture of the creek as I recrossed on my return, but I must have shut my phone down too quick and the pic has not saved. Too bad, it is a lovely spot here. Much nicer than a couple of the spots further down stream. Perhaps I'll drop in again sometime and take another picture?

Found it! Nice ammo tin. Bush bashing involved but no water to cross (currently). Not as bad as Oxley - Pony cache! But still vines etc catching in my long hair!
Another bush bash one. I did more than necessary as I could see where I needed to go but couldn't find a reasonable path. Be careful as some one uses this area as a rubbish tip. I came across a huge piece of a scattered monitor screen.

Quite a bush bash in and out of this one. It took a while to find as my phone was taking me back and forth but then I spotted the cache. TFTC!
Another one on my list of caches for the day. I parked as close as possible and then followed a track. Hmmmm......getting further away and it doesnt look like it doubles back. Back I went. At the closest spot I could get to GZ, I went off the track and began my walk through waist high grass. I was getting closer when I spotted what, with imagination, may have been a geotrail. I followed it for a bit and was soon at GZ. Once there, the cache was quickly located and the log signed. I took note of the coords for the following caches and rehid the cache. Back along the "geotrail" and then through the exta long grass onto the trail and then to the car and I was on my way again. TFTC
The last caches were much quicker and now we were slowing down.
This one took a little longer but with a hop, skip and a jump to the cache,
we soon had the cache in hand.
Gathered the next 2 clues, signed the log and headed back to the geomobile.

The council has done a bit of a clean up and we did not need to go through much long grass but the branches and vines was another thing. This cache had not been touched for a long long time so not sure what previous finder found. TFTC
Caching today with DiamonJS working through the Oxley Series. We parked at the end of the road, when the grass had recently been cut, so that part was easy. Mrs RoddyC dashed off into the vines under the trees and created a path for us to follow. All we had to do was admire the large cache she had found. Found at 9.55am on 3rd July 2015. TFTC.
I parked my car and it was then that I read previous logs. Mmm Cantcacheus backed out. Perhaps I should too? Probably. I am suggesting the terrain has possibly changed over the past 10 years. I picked a pretty awful route although the alternative was probably not a whole lot better. Although I did find a nice big dry cache at the end.
Out with the Geo wife on a Sunday afternoon with the plan on grabbing a few caches specifically in this series.
Ventured into the shoulder high grass here braving the snakes and other possible who knows what in this growth. Eventually got into the bush and called the co for directions as this growth was out of control. Decided while on the phone to CO that I'll come back another time hopefully after council does their job around here. I generally dive in anywhere, but was not comfortable here at all.
I know what your trail is designed to achieve and its great to bring the awareness of the oxley etc. I'd love to bring our daughter, but as it stands there is no way in the world I would bring her in this. I'd enjoy seeing this old holden put through a 'Pimp my ride' and revamped. Few replacements, few GZ adjustments = a world of difference.
Thanks anyway Crew 153, appreciate the effort you have put into this a long time ago and to keep it going for so long. I have heard the tail end of the series is pretty magic & am excited to get to it. Tfth

It's great to find caches of this size and ammo cans just add to the fun. My phone jumped a little but settled within 2m of the hint. All good here and more details taken to take me to the next couple. Thanks crew153 TFTCSLTNLN
Which tree? There's a few that fit that description.
As usual, I took the most difficult path to the cache. I really should have been able to see this cache from where I initially looked.

Crew 153, you are crazy.. Lol! This one was a little bit tricky for the geokid, but still fun. Thanks
Killing some time before catching up with the scout master thought I'd pick up again on this series... not as "crime scene" as the last...
Up again early thus morning to grab a few more in the series. I thought I was clever and parked in nearby rd. I got to within 59 m but then was faced with the creek crossing. I used simon rocks and a pipe and made it over dry. I could hear someone chopping wood very close to gz do I snuck into the cache quietly. All the while waiting for a big dog to come get me. But log signed clue obtained and retreat retreat retreat. Tftc
Well my hat is off to karenhippo for a creek crossing and climb whole I stood guard. Despite a hint from the CO we still managed to enter the wrong side. Duh! Another one down.
Out for the day with Bristracker , picking up some Oxley and assorted puzzles and a few other icon caches. Despite the CO saying we should approach from the west side of the creek, we didn't....
So I decided I was still getting that cache, and crossed the river, hopped up the bank and found the cache. Love ammo cans. TFTC

The first visit here was with OrionJ when the cache was missing and I thought it was a lonely road then. Today, alone, it was downright creepy parking and venturing over the edge.
Failed to find a non-brambly direct route so went down the side and across and up. Found the cache well-secured with one of my fave pieces of caching equipment Tucked the box back in its hidey hole and then took a direct track up the embankment, ducking anything with prickles.
I thought that was that with the Oxley series but a look at my logs, and it appears there are a couple to go

!!!!!tftc!!!!!! Went in at night and stumbled about for a few minutes but found it easily in the end . Great camo I am glad I spotted it so quickly !!
So after the previous DNF at this spot and having remember where I was at my last stop, it was time to go just a little further and take a look here again. It started out badly, as is the happening with me and numbers at times, I must have entered something wrong, because the GPS said go over there. I was pretty certain that was the wrong direction, but figured maybe the coords might have changed a little or who knows.
So anyway I go off for a good look where the GPSr was leading and there was a number of good hiding spots, but I noted the clue had not changed and I could not see anything that really matched. So I decided to re-enter the coords and see if it changed, well yes it did, must have messed that up somehow. So off I head back to where I remember going last time, and bingo exactly where we had searched before and the cache is sitting there in all it's glory.
A quick sign and new coords to ad to the book. However I note a difference in the name for the next one coords basically match though. But with the light starting to fade it is time to call it a day.

We skipped this one in the series and needed to find it to finish off the series. We've attempted this one at various times but didn't find it either due to lack of light, too many mossies, or it was missing in the flood. Today we were dedicated to finding it. We made it through the chest high grass to GZ and did and extended search but came up empty. The mossies were beginning to carry us further into the thick grass so we made a PAF to GT54 and zeroed in on where to look. Extended our search and came up trumps. TFTC and series Crew153
After a desperate PAF the previous night to Swellerfungus on another one from this series, we both decided to soldier on and see how far we could get in this series tonight, starting at 7pm, we managed to get all the way to the end.
this area at night was a little scary for me, and we were going in circles trying to find the cache, but eventually dug it out of its hidey hole! on the way back to the car we heard some loud bangs and then saw some beautiful fireworks from a nearby field

I received a PAF yesterday from a troubled Egginthesky looking for one of the hides in this series. As always it was a pleasure to help, and it got me thinking that I should go and try for some more of this excellent series myself. So why not ask EITS to join me for a night time run and see how far we can get in this series!
This second one tonight gave us a little bit of a run around, as we stumbled all over the place trying to coax something sensible out of the iPhones! I went one way and EITS went the other. I was certainly a little worried about any nearby neighbours, however the cloak of darkness gave us a feeling of safety. EITS got a tad concerned about snakes, but eventually she once again came up with the goods!
Cache and log are in good order, and again, after retrieving the valuable information required for the next few in the series we moved on. As we commenced walking out a few loud bangs nearby was the sound of a local sporting teams fireworks display that kept going as we drove out in Zoomin Shroom past the fireworks towards our next cache.

Nice to find a large cache for a change. When the GPS finally settled it was easy ( but the grass is getting quite long).

cache find # 1300
Another great cache find in the Oxley puzzle series. We are enjoying the caches and locations.
When we finally found our way to GZ, the cache was located.
Had to hurry up and sign the log book, as the mozzies were about to carry us away.

Ticking off another in the Oxley series today. Parked the car and made my way through the grass, and was able to follow a path of sorts but it soon seemed to disappear so I decided to follow the GPS via the direct route. Unfortunately this took me to a decidedly user-unfriendly location. It didn't look like anyone had been here recently and a search of the area turned up nothing. Extricated my way out of the area and decided to go back to the start of the path and reassess my options. With a slight change of approach I soon found a suitable access path which led to to a more user friendly location. A short search and the nice large cache was found. Another interesting location in the series. Tftc.
Certainly picked up a few bites and scratches at this one. Luckily the water level was low as in nonexistent. Did the business and got out quick ! Over caching fron the UK. TFTC. Seem to have missed the co-ords for dragon drop somewhere along the line, but at least we can carry on.
Found this one after having to push on through the scrub plenty of mosquitoes about, ended up signing the log and running out back to the safety of the car. TFTC
Got this one at last! Have previously had a few tries at this one with no success. Today I took stock of the location before getting too close to the cache, as my GPS bounced around a bit last time. Ended up finding it with out too much trouble (apart from a bit of vegetation growth). Why couldn't I do that last time?? TFTC!
I was on a bit of a late night run to look for a few unknowns and after finding Dragon Drop this one became the obvious next-on-list.
Parked was easy and I followed my phone down a couple of paths to some likely looking spots when my phone started playing the, maybe-it's-there-no-there-actually-maybe-there game it loves so much.
After probably a few too many theres I put the phone away and checked the hint and figured over there looked good and tada!
Signed up and grabbed the clues for the next two. They didn't look so far away. I'm sure my truly beloved wouldn't mind me doing just one more...
Thanks for the cache Crew!

On my home from work. Diverted off a little to try and get some more of this series done. Found a good track in and it was a nice easy find with the clue.
Mis-entered digits caused the firt problem here making me walk a lot further than I needed. Then two sets of coords from respective log books addeed to my confusion and frustration. Evenutally the cache was located.
I grabbed the TB to move on and I'm going south.
Thanks for the cache Crew 153.

A very long and very slithery snake passed us on our way in giving us a scare. Stamping feet and rattling keys we went in and made a find.
Found with misssusan79 and a snake. A few scratchy bushes (Lantana) and at least one snake in the dry creek bed. Did lots of strange stamping walking steps until clear of area. Will visit again with other intrepid cachers, although might let them go in without me. Good idea not to try a direct attack on this one. Dropped in FZ5ZWB tb. Happy trails sheepie. (And ticks)

I have finally got around to replacing the container for this one.
It is now an Ammo can tethered to a tree so hopefully it will survive any future floods.
It is in the same location as the previous cache.

Even though I took a look and saw the two Finds, I did not read the whole log.
Had a look found the hint but no container, reread the whole logs and realized the mistake. Maybe next time when the container is replaced.

After working our way throught the other Oxley series and getting all put one, the CO said he didn't think this one would be there. We arrived at GZ and soon had the Cache in hand (all be it a very wet Cache). Nice hide. Can't wait to continue the series soon. TFTC
Met up with CO, who was coincidentally, doing a maintenance run nearby. Told him about previous caches we had found and we then ventured down towards this one. Again quite a bit of sand around GZ but Hiltonclan soon located the cache with the CO. Cache was full of water, but CO agreed we did find this one. CO has taken home to replace in due course. Hopefully this one will be on line again soon! TFTC
I fear this one may be in Moreton Bay now.
I will check it out when the waters have receded

This is where I ran out of Oxley luck for the day. Having completed four and it being so hot that my dog had trouble walking on the hot sand to reach the river which she insisted on swimming in. The grass, lantana, thorny vines were just too much and what is a V tree?? Hated abandoning the series but I still had Oxley Crossing co-ords but that seems to be approx where Oxley Sergeant Dan was supposed to be???
It was now just too hot so decided to take a wet dog home. Thanks Crew 153.

It was a hot morning as I pulled up near GZ. Jsut a short stroll towards where I wanted to be then some thought as to getting exactly where the clue seemed to match. A new attack was found and that proved more doable without getting too scrubby. May have picked up a tick in here.
Once again a nice regular cache and a few more coords to go on with.
Thanks

Now that I've read a few more logs, I have trouble matching up what they say with my experience as the water level was way, way down, allowing a very easy stroll down from the West.
Apple Maps on my iPhone is seriously in error on a couple of points in this area, not least the suggestion that a certain road runs right through! I was rather surprised to find a guard rail where I wasn't expecting it.
Anyway, after picking up a yellow fuel bottle and giving it an obligatory shake just in case the MO of the CO had changed here, I was pleased to spot the cache from a reasonable distance (the growth must have been seriously halted of late). New coords obtained and this excellent series continues!

Led astray by apple maps with a nonexistent road.

Determined to get the co-ords for Dan Stiller today so on I went.... A quick stop nearby and a trundle down & up the hill. Nice spot again, interesting to see where Oxley Ck winds itslef around familiar places. We frequent the dog park nearby with the dogs, though not as much as we should since the geokids arrived. . Out on the southside getting some more of this series.
I nearly went around the wrong side for this one, but a closer inspection of the maps showed a better way in. There was a vague geotrail to follow, although the lantana kept getting in the way At GZ the cache was exposed so an easy find. I covered it up a little better. TFTC, Crew 153.

Next one in the series and we made hard work out of this one by parking at the wrong end. After a hop skip and jump over the water we found the cache. The log was just slightly damp but otherwise all good!

I somehow managed to grab this one today after firstly parking my truck on the wrong side of the creek . I walked in only to find plenty of water flowing today, so i retreated and drove around to the other side. This took up a fair share of my 'pre-work' caching time, but i was happy to cross another of the Oxley series off the list
After eventually arriving at the right place, i followed a geotrail for a short while, but then it disappeared . I searched around for about 5 minutes before i stumbled upon ye old vee tree … the undergrowth grows so fast around here, that i couldn't even tell where the previous finders had made their way to GZ only 2 days ago
I signed the logbook, returned the treasure to it's hide, and made my way back out to the truck …. with very wet work boots . All is ok and dry here … TFTC Crew 153

The recent herd of elephants made a nice trail for me to follow almost all the way to GZ. A bit of lantana to battle through and the prize was found
I thought day was going to be wet...but the sun came out, so I quickly packed the bike and on the train. A good day to be out and about caching.
This series is the reason I am caching this way today. Must find a few more of these....I must...I must...
I have been across this crossing on another day out so thought it would not matter which side I came from...but it rained alot yesterday and the creek was UP. bugger. The cache is on the other side... A desperate look around and I spotted a tree above the water and reaching from one bank to the other
So I bashed through the long grass, wobbled across the tree, scrambled up the bank, bashed my way trough the long grass, lantana and other nasty vines to GZ. GOT IT. Now to retrace my steps....
Anyway, All dry and in good condition. Thanks for the cache.

We were unable to find this one a couple of weeks ago but decided to try it again after getting some further info from a previous finder. The area is completely overgrown. The search took a little while but managed to locate the cache today. Definitely do not forget the bug spray as the mozzies will carry you away. Signed the log. TFTC Crew 153.
Could not find this a few weeks back, but today armed from some info from a recent finder we had another go The area is insanely overgrown and there are so many mozzies I'm suprised we were not carried away Got to the same GZ as last time but refocused the search, it still took a while but eventually the cache was spotted[^] Signed the log and got the coordinates for the next two in the series. Out and about with the lovely Pprime. I use to live in the area and as a kid would venture down the back towards the creek. How things have changed. Good spot for a cache. Thanks again Crew 153
Reading the logs had us concerned as we drove up to near GZ ... until we realised we'd naturally come from the right direction. And following in the footsteps of our Captain we soon had our hands on the prize. We even borrowed his butterfly whomping stick.
Thanks Crew153, the series has been intriguing so far. We aren't sure which one "Crossings" is meant to be though.

The recent rains foiled my attempts here last time and have been waiting until the creek dries up a bit more to attempt. However in talks with the cache owner he suggested I attempt it from the west, thus cutting out the need to cross the creek. Checked it on Google Earth and it seemed likely. So today after a long day of theory and donning my shiny white pilot's shirt and very unoffroad shoes I headed in. I found an old fence paling that I used to whack a path and scare of any unfriendly wildlife as I went. Somehow I managed to miss every puddle although the flora has gone nuts, in some places the grass and plants were well above my head. Soon the GPS had counted down and I'd blazed a trail right to a likely tree, but no cache. Bummer, onto the next and no luck again. It took a lot of effort with each unsuccessful tree with so much greenery to bash out of the way. Soon came to a bit of a clearing and had the cache in sight. Grabbed it as the mosquitoes arrived. In between slapping myself like some funny German dance I recorded the next set of co-ords I needed and scribbled my name into the logbook. Swatted a few hundred more mozzies away and followed my trail back to the car. So lush in there I bet my trail will be indistinguishable in a few days. Glad to finally have another close to home icon ticked off and thanks to Crew 153 for the hide and the tip for access. TFTC
Well we thought this one was going to be a quick trek in, as the GPSr said we were only 40m away from where we parked. Strewth that the longest 40m I have ever traveled for a cache, as Kaisho and I battled through long grass, lantana, and a range of other man eating plants.
We eventually found the cache and all was good.
Found while out with Kaisho53 doing the Oxley Creek series and some other caches along the way!.

This was my next find with Lokipagan. Of course Loki would have a go at the superior TomTom
Indeed, it did fail in the instance. It picked up either a path or a planned road - but was nevertheless was successfully 7km out by road
Once we arrived at the correct GZ, we made our way in. I was convinced the Lokipagan team could not be going the right way. But alas - they were. We arrived at GZ and started the hunt. I found the cache after a while - snugly hidden away. It was in good condition. TFTC Crew 153
