Have had this on our to-do list for a long time now. Made an effort today to track it down. Found it. Cache is in great condition, seen how no one has visited it for a while.
I spent an enjoyable 9 days travelling all around Logan and surrounds searching for caches with friends and family as part of GCLogan activities. As we had a chunk of spare time today, we decided to try to locate as many of this series as we could. Always like searching for older caches, they are getting more and more rare. Thanks for hiding and maintaining Crew 153
DisSister and l did a few caches before heading off to the GCLOGAN activities for the day. Thank you for the fun
Nice day to be out and about, although maybe a bit warm. Enjoyed the location, cache is alive and well. Thanks for placing
Out and about with Elemental6 hunting oldies. A quick find here and all in good order. It sure is nice to get back to the geovan with air conditioning today! Thanks for the cache Cheers
I was on my way to Mt Tamborine today with GeoM to pick up the big kids from camp. We stopped along the way to look for this cache. He looked in a few places before finding the nicely hidden cache. I had to go back to the car and get our swaps when he saw that there were marbles in the cache. We took a marble and left an ooshie. Thanks Crew153 for another great cache along Oxley Creek.
I came to Springfield Lakes today for a few targeted caches. And being so close to more of this series, I headed down to Greenbank.
Found a park and made my way the short distance to gz where the cache was quickly found and signed. Collected the coordinates for the next ones. Tftc

My third half day over here this week targeting these old caches. Jeepers I’ve clocked some mileage over these past couple of days. Today it was back to the Oxley series. This cache was the first for today after a disappointing muggle start at another cache by the same CO, (but not an Oxley one).
Parking the car just around the corner I wandered over and up and made my find, managing to bark my shin already, on my very first cache.
But they say it’s not an adventure without blood, so I guess today’s adventures are off to a fine start.
Thanks for the cache Crew 153.

Today was out chasing oldies. I have been working on Crew 153 Oxley Series. I have found 7 already. 8 to go.
I Had a late start, first one found just after 1pm last one 4.15pm with hour drive home to cook dinner.
Of course I was looking for caches for challenge cache.
Plus one cache I park within 100 meters.
Thanks Crew 153 for bringing me to this lovely area on the Southside of Brisbane.

This cache was next in the Oxley series, which I have recently returned to after starting it some years ago. We debated where would be the best spot to park, and decided on one of the side streets nearby. A short walk later and we had the cache i n hand.
Couldn't see the creek from here, but Google Maps assures me it's nearby!

Out on the southside picking up a few target caches, in particular the Oxley series and Runner geoart, with lots of others grabbed along the way.
Next find in the series, wasn't going to continue this far but it becomes quite addictive when you get more puzzle coords!

It's been exactly two weeks since my last caching adventure and as you could probably guess I'm having withdrawals, so I jumped at the opportunity to join Chamad, Willis007 and TripleTurmoil for an epic LONG day of caching on the southside. Our day started bright and early at Browns Plains, then Greenbank, Flagstone then a short distance away from Flinders Peak to finish off the day. The goal for the day was to complete the Oxley series and grab a bunch of other caches along the way, considering we'd most likely never return it would be silly not to grab them.
In total I managed 30 finds for the day, not a bad effort I must say.
This one was too easy to find, the cache was sitting in the open with no cover over it at all, so when we were done we made sure the cache was well hidden and camo placed over the top to keep it out of view.

Out with Willis007, Nayfee and Triple Turmoil for another day of cache madness. The plan for today was to finish off the Oxley series of caches and grab a few extras along the way. Some areas we will probably never come to again so it was best to grab those caches as we passed by. With three of us living on the northside carpooling was the best option today. Then we had to grab triple turmoil, so a plan was hatched, a place to meet was organised and off we went. In all we completed the Oxley series; we did grab a few extras and then the highlight of the day an unexpected walk to grab a very fine alphabet cache. As always, a fun day, full of laughs and mischievousness, thank you.
Another in the Oxley series completed, watch out for stray wild dogs here, lol. An easy find and with log signed and cache replaced as found we were off to the next in one in the series. Thanks for the cache.

Targeting the Oxley series today, along with some nearby caches, our super crew of chamad, Triple Turmoil and NayFee stopped by to collect the third Oxley on our journey.
Arriving at gz it didn't take long for the cache to be spotted. Log signed, off we went to the next one.
Thanks Crew 153 for the great series.
Took monopoly tb - it's been sitting here a while.

About a month ago Willis007, Chamad, Nayfee and myself started the Oxley Series. This could easily be done in a day but we are very easily distracted by caches nearby and some not so nearby. So, today (along with many other distractions) we finished off this series. It was a great feeling to complete it. A year of no finds, so it was great to give this cache some love. Quick and easy to locate and all is good with this cache. Quick find as it was out in open. Nayfee gave it a better disguise and Willis007 rescued a trackable that has been sitting in there a while.
After lunch we made it our mission to try and complete the Oxley caches. We had knocked off a few here and there but today was the day to put them to bed. It doesn’t look like a long drive from Lincoln Green on the satellite view but took us over 20 minutes and the drive down Middle Road felt like it would never end.
At least we got to take in the painted power poles. Who was gone to this much trouble to paint or stencil so many different patterns? I challenged my wife to see if she could find any repeated paintings because I was focused on the road.
At GZ we had a short walk and a quick find and it looked like our goal of finishing the Oxley was still on track. tftc

Continuing the exploration of the Oxley, this was the next stop. All found in good order. The big decision now was how far we'd continue before setting sail back to the northside. Thanks Crew 153 for maintaining this Oxley series.

Sunday. Out today with Que Sera, finding this series of caches. I can’t believe its taken me so long to get around to finding these. It certainly does cover a big area! Thankfully this one was a nice quick find. It helped that Que Sera had found this one anyway, so with that said, and the helpful hint, we had this cache in our hot hands toot sweet and the log was signed, next cache locations noted and we then went off to collect some more caches.
This was the 13th of 18 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Crew 153***, for showing us this place.

I managed to finish work early today and had just a couple of hours free so I headed out to find some more in this series. I found a park a short walk away and at gz spotted the cache on approach. happy to get more coords and covered the cache with some bark to keep muggle eyes away. Thanks for this fun series
Such a busy spot here. The cars never stopped. Made a quick find and noted the next coords. Thanks for the cache
Another beautiful day in Brisbane - and not called into work still so out I head this morning in search of the Oxley Creek. I started my journey along this mighty creek nearly six years ago, today I wanted to find the source. This was an easy one, although the gigantic arachnid with blood dripping from it's fangs as it snarled at me on the container increased the difficulty as well as the heart rate a tiny bit.
Thanks Crew 153 for entertaining me at this location.

Nice to be back out on this Trail again, to try and complete the series today. We had collected the numbers for this one some months ago, and today, with a few hours to spare we are back out in this area again. It was a quick find and all was safe and well with the container.

Today’s adventures were focussed on a few more of the Oxley series . I took my geodoggy, Bodhi for a Sunday morning drive. We got a safe park and it was a super quick walk to the cache. This was an easy one! Happy to report the cache is fine and dandy despite it being almost a year since it’s last visitor! I noted the next set of coordinates, signed the log and replaced as found. Picking up quite a few unloved days here. Tftc
Thought I'd do a couple of more in this series to work towards completing it. Driving down we found a spot to park that was a little bit of a walk to GZ which was good, I needed it. As we got closer we followed the direction we were supposed to go and then saw a familiar looking object. Signed and returned as found, TFTC.
TFTC! And Kangaroo trackable! A couple of words of "wisdom": make sure you tell your Google Maps to take you to the solved coordinates NOT the original ones. Google Maps tried to get me to turn into a Commonwealth Government restricted area (army base). Then once I parked near solved coordinates and started walking away from my car, another woman pulled over and asked if I was okay! It is not a high pedestrian area and I guess I looked odd. I was not dressed appropriately either (a dress & wedge-style shoes) and she probably thought my car had broken down!

Well I decided to come out and do another in the Oxley series today. I grabbed a couple of other caches on the way and I see there's one pretty close to this one (I though they had to be further apart?) I can go get before I head off home
I wandered over to have a look at the creek, but I see the creek out here is pretty dry looking mostly. There was a bit of a waterhole under the bridge and a bit of a puddle looking back the other way. I'll post a couple of pics with this log
The cache was indeed easy to locate. I signed the log, and then decided to drop off a TB of mine to commence its journey around the world. Hopefully it will generate some interesting logs for me to read and not get muggled away into a rubbish bin somewhere [?]
Very hot out caching today. I left my run a bit late this morning, and the way it's heating up we might be in for a storm like the weather report was predicting might happen later today. If we do get a storm at least that will get the creek flowing again
Now off to grab that nearby cache and then head off home
Dropped TB TNSL TFTC Crew 153
Edit log: Just realised I forgot to grab the next sets of coords! It's lucky we get two sets of coords each cache

My second Oxley for today, I headed into this one and the GPS decided it wanted to freeze. After walking in circles for a little bit and a reboot I realised I overshot the mark. Returning the way I came I spotted this one. Signed my name and returned everything to its home. TFTC Crew153
I had previously done Johnson with Bennyboppers. I did a couple of other caches along the way to this one. Nice easy find. TFTC!
Another cache with hubbies phone - grr. Finally found it after reentering the correct coords.
I parked nearby. I was about to get out of the car when I noticed council workmen not too far away. I watched them for a while, but they ignored me. I then wandered over to GZ, taking a route that would keep me mostly out of their sight. At GZ, the cache was quickly found and the log signed. I took the longer way back to the car in the hope that I had not attracted any attention. TFTC
I found myself nearby and decided to pursue a couple more of this great series. I have no memory of ever driving through this part of the area, so it was good to learn a little more. After finding a park, I began strolling in the wrong direction towards the creek but soon corrected myself and found the cache safe and sound. Clues noted and I was on my way. TFTC and intro to this side of Greenbank.
Headed to this one next.
Mobile nuvi took me the shortest way and I was soon near GZ.
Out of the geomobile and straight into the bush and it was a quick find at GZ.
Grabbed the next two coordinates and replaced everything as it was with a little camo.

Caching today with DiamonJS working through the Oxley Series. It was a much longer drive to find this one, and I took a little rest while Mrs RoddyC and DiamonJS made a nice quick find as promised (and this one was not near any water!) Found at 1.45pm on 3rd July 2015. TFTC.
Out with cantcachus2014 to finish off the rest of the Oxley- series and clam a joint unloved cache with the final 3 and final, this one was a quick find and all info taken for the next tftc
Out today with Geo wife & Forbiddenground & his Geo son for a trip around the series to finish it off and make it to the final with any luck. This one was a nice quick find and we were on our way to the next. Tftc
Here I am wandering aimlessly looking at my gps-r and old mate honks "Hey, love, are you lost?". "Nope, all good here". "You look like you need help" he says. I often wonder what expression I have when I am looking for a cache. This one was not a whole lot of torture to get to.
Had a little search in the wrong spot and then we looked somewere else and and then we founf it
Nice easy park and grab with the sound of gunfire in the distance... left some american coin... tftc...
Wow. That was a long way around. Glad my car GPS knew the way. Ok on to the next and I hope the daylight lasts now that I am all the way over here. Wherever that is. Tftc
The rain had eased a bit by mid afternoon and so I was able to make a quick find. Thanks Crew153.
Pressing on thro the Oxley caches we came to this one. Karenhippo was looking after co-ords for us. I have not been the greatest help with this series. But we must press on.
Out for the day with Bristracker , picking up some Oxley and assorted puzzles and a few other icon caches. Good to get another easy cache. TFTC

Found with OrionJ. There was a nice short walk in the bush to retrieve this one. TFTC
After a find up at Springfield and another puzzle nearby, it was time to see where I was heading for this one. Quite pleasantly it was not far at all and actually on the way back from where I had just had a blast.
Anyway pulled up with LHE duo, and consider that this was going to be one of the pleasant stops for the day with just a short walk on into the bush. Navigating the spider webs though was another thing, possibly more here then anywhere else this morning.
Soon after the very short walk arrived at a little spot with some options for the hide and we were able to quickly recover the cache. Got signed in the book, and then went and forgot to take a picture of the next coords, so lucky you get two at a time.

After a desperate PAF the previous night to Swellerfungus on another one from this series, we both decided to soldier on and see how far we could get in this series tonight, starting at 7pm, we managed to get all the way to the end.
This cache was quite a bit more of an easy find, parked close by, went around in circles a bit (again) and then finally found the cache... called out to the fungus to come over and do some calculations with me and we were off to the next one.... which had eluded mr KUW previously. we were determined to find the next one )

I received a PAF yesterday from a troubled Egginthesky looking for one of the hides in this series. As always it was a pleasure to help, and it got me thinking that I should go and try for some more of this excellent series myself. So why not ask EITS to join me for a night time run and see how far we can get in this series!
We managed a park very close by for this one, and made our way in to GZ pretty quickly. Again the iphones were a little bit dodgy, but soon enough EITS (who had gone THAT way when i went THIS way) called out she had a cache in hand.
More data transfers, new locations deciphered...wow that second one looks odd....ok, lets move on faster now, maybe we can finish this tonight. What Keepingupwith had a DNF on a later one...well throw a red flag in front of a bull...let's get further than him! (who said geocaching wasn't a competition!)

Well it all started very innocently. A nicely hidden cache in just the right spot... Certainly a good way to lull you into a false sense of security [:0].
It's been while since I have managed to get out for a night run on caches and I decided it was time to pick up on the Oxley series again. It was on my mind quite a bit recently because a few weeks ago my mate Asabat and I had been paddling up the Oxley Creek. It was really nice to pass a whole bunch of spots that I'd seen from the other side.
It's pretty interesting coming up the creek on a kayak. You go up and down so many loops that after a few kilometres of paddling you end up having gone hardly any distance as the crow flies. Our trip had been cut short by a huge trunk across the creek which was all but impassable. It was really pleasant however, since recent rains had flushed out a lot of junk, and the water was pretty clear of muck.
Back to the log! I was out and about last night and Edwards was the second on my list. As I mentioned this one was a incident free find and I was happy to be making swift progress down the creek.
I did have one very nice thing happen though. As I was walking back to the car, another motorist stopped to check I was ok. Sort of upped my confidence in humanity to know there are still a lot of decent people out there. I was particularly touched because I feel I probably look like the sort of person you wouldn't want to bump into late on a dark night.
After confirming all was fine, I jumped in the car and headed to the Pub

Parked the car nearby and after a bit of a scout around we decided on the best way in to this one. An obvious spot but well hidden under camo.

Tonight was a perfect night for caching - a cool night and full moon in a cloudless sky to guide the way. I had to get some information from a nearby cache so I took the opportunity to grab this one as well. Parked and strolled in to GZ. After looking in a few wrong spots the cache was soon located and log signed. Another one ticked off in the series. Tftc
Its a hot day today, so I got the muggle husband to take a drive out for me to get a couple of caches for the day. I had picked up these co-ords a couple of days ago and am continuing the series. A short walk straight to the GZ and an appropriate placement of the cache. Noted the next co-ords and on our way. TFTC
Needed a quick cach before dinner and this fit the bill. Think the guy in the ditch was late for dinner tftc
Quick park and grab out with grandparents. While we were out some guy managed to put his corolla in the ditch but other than that it was uneventful. TFTC
Just parked grandsons geocar and heard dull thud and there was a car off the roundabout down the bank. Driver got out so no bodily harm done. Located the cache and retrieved the co-ords for the next two. Getting close to the goal of completing the series before having to return to the UK. TFTC.
We were keen on a Sunday drive this afternoon so packed team PJATPAC into the geomobile and headed out. Mr T was asleep by this one so mr jumped out with miss A for about 50m of bush bashing and a quick find.

Found with The Hunting Rabbit. I suppose I'm going to have to start at the beginning and finish in the middle in order to finish this series! TFTC Crew 153
Dr Hunting Rabbit and Dansync were caching Springfield today. Dr THR has been working through this series for sometime and today was Edwards' day. After seeing much of this series heading downstream it was nice to see one high and dry. An easy find for us, but it's nice to be moving forward in this series. TFTC Crew 153
in true Net88 style I had jetskied around most the question marks to this one since I was caching with the captain. I will eventually get all of them... hopefully in more order then this one. the cache was found reasonably quickly and our names were entered in the logbook. thanks for the cache
And so this was next time. On my way south and west I decided to grab this one after my failed attempt. With Net88 I found an appropriate parking spot, grabbed the GPS and pen and headed off. The roundabout was busy as we crossed but soon ducked into the much quieter bush. Yes, this time I also had corrected co-ords.
Not far away from GZ and I spotted a few Crew 153-y looking spots and began checking them methodically. Didn't take me long and I called out 'Got it'. Added names to the logbook and recorded the co-ords for Tully. TFTC Crew 153, a step closer to completing this series

So as my GPS tried to take me the long way round to get to another cache, I saw this one come up. I noted the co-ords seemed to have me over a fence near construction so gave up. It turns out too, that I'd neglected to update the co-ords for it on my GPSr. Oops.. Next time..
I had some spare time today so I figured I'd get a few more of this series. This one was made quite difficult by the new roundabout construction happening at the intersection. Trucks and machines and people everywhere I took a bush bash from the side road and ran into plenty of spider webs The find itself was as easy as the Description said, although I had to duck to avoid muggles spotting me. TFTC, Crew 153. 11 done
We were back on the trail of Oxley caches today. Found this one and got coordinates for the next couple. TFTC Crew 153
Back on the trail of Oxley caches . Lots of roadwork nearby but parking on the road behind GZ worked out perfectly. There is a track that is made for the job, with just a little bush bashing at the end. Soon spotted the likely hiding spot and grabbed the cache. Signed log and noted the coordinates for the next two in the series. TFTC Crew 153
Out today with my friend Michael (ac16221a).
Michael has not done any of the series yet so I explained how it is set up. he gets a free one here and find the others himself.
Thanks for the cache. The cache was dry and in good condition.

Another one found. I can almost see the finish line. The road works have come within a few metres of this hide, but it looks like it will be far enough away not to get dozed.
This was our next find for the day. We pulled up in the car and made our way to GZ. After Loki and I could not find the cache, Pagan, who did have a GPSr, announced he had found the cache safe and sound and in good condition. We collected our co-ordinates and moved along. TFTC Crew 153
Seems there's some construction going on around the general vicinity of GZ. Looked in a few spots before Pagan spotted the cache. Thanks Crew 153
Found this one with Stairman1. Geodog stayed at home. We continued the series this afternoon and arrived here at 5.00 p.m. After a mad dash across the busy road, we headed up the hill and found the container nice and safe. Grabbed the co-ordinates for the next two and headed off for another mad dash across the road. When I got back into the car I felt something crawling up my arm. It was a small praying mantis which I did not appreciate. Neither did Stairman1 when I screamed in his ear TFTC
A quick dash for this one. Got the co-ords for the next one, then back on the road again.

Nice easy find, I am having a great time discovering different parts of Oxley Creek.
Placed a new container in a new location. I cannot reactivate this one until I get the rest of the series repaired.

This cache was swept away in the recent floods. It is part of a series and I will enable the listing again when I have completed the restoration of the all the caches in the series.

Disabled until the water recedes. Then I will assess the whole series to see if it should be changed.
