Logs
I noticed that this cache has been in need of owner maintenance for an extended period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) and then repair the cache within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication/action.

Tried it again (it is always a nice walk to GZ), but with no finds for over 2 years and no luck for us today pretty sure it is gone.
Not sure if this has been checked since the last find and put back in correct place, wasn't going to waste my time as there are lots of bushes nearby. Maybe a quick updated cheers.
DNF for us, had a good look, and on the way back too but no joy. Thanks for the excuse to get the old cyclocross bike out, i am sure the bike appreciated it.
Maybe muggled again? We only found a pencil under the bridge... Is this good enough to log a find?
A really nice area and good walk. Especially enjoyed visiting the sawmill. Cache has been muggled and was in the bush near the bridge. I put container and wet log back but may need shifting somewhere safer.
This was a little different. We paddled almost to the cache from the Lake Mahinapua campground, we could have got a bit closer but the water level is abnormally low.We found a DoC worker fixing the adjoining bridge, but he was below and out of sight. However, as soon as we had signed the log he surfaced and we could not get it back with out being seen. to cut a long story short, we had to take the cache with us and we returned it on a quick run up from the road later in the day. On the positive side, we did get to dry what was some rather damp contents out.
The kayak trip was far more scenic than following the track.
Cheers and thanks,
S.t.

Just what the doctor ordered! A lovely stroll on a sunny afternoon with the birds chirping and flitting about. At GZ it was a quick find for PB at one 'end', while Annie was trying to follow the GPS to the other end!! A big thanks for this cache.

Walked in from the western end of the track. The swamp wetlands is a really impressive Eco-system. It is a national treasure. Dropped off Little Nic TB, but I have mistakenly dropped it in another cache. Now I don't have the tracking number to fix up the mistake. TFTC
Enjoyed the walk and the historical relics along the way. Great boardwalks over the swamps. Excellent track and lovely day. TFTC
Very nice walk to do after so many drive by's. This was a propper walk through a very nice area.
Enjoyed the walk beautiful scenery. Wonderful area for strolls and trolls thank you.

That's both ends of the walkway looked into - inspired to do the whole thing one day. Fantastic, thanks.

Finally got around to knocking this off our list. It was one that has been waiting around for ages, and for no particular reason we hadn't made the effort.
We were greeted by a very frindly Ram at the start of the track that was after attention and pats. Once we'd finished with him we progressed down the track and came across a Kotuku on the first bridge. After grabbing some photos, we progressed until he took flight and swooped down to the swamp.
Got to the cache, and found it easily enough, as have several muggles, judging by the log book. All was safe and secure.

1063. A pleasant walk in. It had been raining but was lovely walking the track. It was a great boardwalk for part of the way. We left Filip the blue dolphin Travel Bug.
We are on a southerly tour with our friends.
Thanks

Loved this walk! Thanks so much for the cache. On the way out, we talked to a jogger who appeared to live in the house at the start of the walk. He said he had just seen something on the TV about geocaching and was thrilled to meet some "geocachers".
Easy find. Gorgeous hot sunny day. Love the West Coast when it is like this! Doesn't happen often!

Stopped here and I jogged in and out to this cache. Startled a White Heron as I crossed the first bridge, but it didn't fly far away. Another few hundred metres further on I found a young possum on the track and it quickly disappeared into the flax. Carried on a lovely run to the cache site where it was quickly and easily found. I returned via the possum (which had come out to play again) and startled the heron (again). What a lovely reserve and a beautiful day for a jog. No exchange. Cheers Gav [821]
A stop that we would have driven past if it were not for Geocaching. This one was not even in our guide books.
Loved the Mahinapua Walkway, thanks.
Took nothing, left a frog clicker and a pin.
Placed a SuMo Cyclist logo sticker on the inside of the cache lid.
