Made a hospital visit this morning and headed home in the direction to find some of these caches. Only 3 to complete the series and heading closer to the goal line for a couple of Challenges. Caching with GEM_54.TFTCache Crew 153
We are short on time today, so this will be our last for the day. Found really quickly. The existing is a bit damp but signable.. We have had a great morning out geoing with Hatzofff .
Back now the construction is done and this one has its own beacon now as well. Almost done on the seriesFinal to goTFTC
I had a few hours free this morning and decided to go grab a few nearby caches. After finding Roly, I saw that this one wasnt too far away so I took a walk along the streets to get to this one. As I arrived I first saw the long grass and groaned because I was not really dressed for that. Then I saw that the area had been cleared for the construction work so I actually had an easy time getting to the creek. The gps had GZ on the other side so I made my way over and looked around but everything was very overgrown and no sign of a cache. I checked the logs and thanks to grannysmiths photo I realised it was back on the original side. Back I climbed and searched around what was left of the trees and soon found the cache. This one was also a bit damp but the original logbook is actually still in really good condition. Thanks for the cache Crew153!
After an awesome event called "Winsome Wishart's Wondrous Waypoints", we continued to look for some more caches. We found this one and signed the log. Tftc Crew 153
Lots of works going on here, but it appears the contractors have left the cache in place, if not the hide... TFTC!
Didnt have high hopes with the work going on at GZ, but just as we were about to climb down the cache was spotted high and dry. TFTC!
Been some work done Cache is still there, please delete log if you wish Thanks grannysmith1947
TFTC smile 17232 out and about on a lovely day After the Event went with TBU to collect a few Oldies Signed as GS1947 on small logs but not for this cache, Oldie for a OldieThank you Crew 153 for placing this cache for our enjoyment
I’m needing just a few more Regular size caches for a challenge and as I’ve had this on my solved list for a while, decided to come here today. This was the second cache today.
As it turned out, I took the harder way to gz, but found the cache easily. Very nice to see the original logbook in great condition. After signing the log, I took an easier way out on a geo trail through grass. Tftc

SaintsMadHouse and I have teamed up for some serious Wednesday antics this year. Today we were slightly delayed in our start (thanks 1GiantPanda ) but we had some form of plan to follow at least.
Our second Mimosa of the day - good thing it has gone midday already!! Pleased to see much of this area has been mown recently, we only had to go bush for the last few metres, and while I was signing the log, SaintsMadHouse was grabbing a Clump of her own - a clump of orchids that is!
Thanks for the cache Crew 153.

I am logging these in random order as I did a few and can’t remember which order we did them in. The day was nice weather for a change and we were not in any real hurry so we kind of just went all around and around and back n forth a bit to grab a few oldies. Replaced some wet logs and a cache as well at one place.
Bit of a bush bash to get my way to ground zero but after a wrong turn or so I got in and locked in o. The prize.
Off to the next.
Cheers

Driving the back streets of Upper Mt Gravatt, & I were welcomed by 1 barking beautiful puppy dog. While we exited the car & strolled down to the GZ. Easy find log in good condition as it was recently replaced.
Muggle65 and l were greeted by beautiful neighbourhood dogs on our way to this one. Thought it might be quite soggy underfoot but it was actually nice and dry. Cache found in reasonable order but log is nice and new. Thank you for the series
Out today to grab 7 oldies from Crew 153. Thank you for keeping these caches going. Had lots of fun finding them. I did need to Paf a few times for help on a couple of them.
So now Mimosa series finished and one to go on the Oxley series to go.
Plus 3 for for a new challenge on the Northside.
So I found 10 for today. The breakdown was 7 mystery, 2 earthcache and a multi.
Sorry for the generic log.

I managed to get this unknown cache's coordinates whilst visiting McGregor on 6/01/2022, and upon a subsequent geocache visit to Roly on 30/01/2022, it just confirmed the coordinates once again.
Today, jesswrigley and I needed to pop over to MacKenzie for an errand, and we then decided to use our new baby carrier in walking a section of Brisbane Koala Bushlands, picking up a few of the rabbit series (Rabbit Trap, Tricky Rabbit, Rat Plague, etc.).
After our long walk, Garden City Shopping Centre was our next stop where we had lunch and did some shopping, and then I decided to make my own way home, stopping at a few geocaches within the vicinity and around Mount Gravatt. I did manage to get a find a few more oldies from Mimosa Creek's geocaches, with M1 certainly being quite the adventure.
Despite previous logs and records indicating a tough access and water/riving crossing, this turned out to be reasonably easy for me - perhaps I just chose the right side to park and access from? Just a small amount of bushes around GZ to navigate through, but otherwise no issues. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Crew 153 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to find this oldie 09/2005 hidden cache, which is one of Queensland's 500 oldest yet active geocaches.

I feel like this guy is conpensating for Roly being so easy. A river crossing and wet boots then a network of giant orb weavers to traverse. Into the spider infested thickets we go ... cache found and signed. We created a little bridge for the next cacher, hope it's still there for the next person.
If you have a fear of spiders then you may want to reconsider venturing in for this one!
Thanks for the cache

Making my from Roly this wasn’t a long drive at all… and I’ve certainly never been here before…
Having seen the NM this time I loaded up a couple of containers and walked towards GZ… then I hit the wall of green… I finally discovered a faint geotrail and followed it in…
Once at GZ it was a quick spot, and considering the age of the cache, some deterioration is to be expected…
I’ve replaced the container with the biggest one I had on me, but it’s not a sistema… sorry…
Co- ordinates noted… and now to battle my way back out… tftc…

An early mark from work and a couple of hours to kill before school pickup sees me driving over to the Southside to finish off the mimosa series of caches and a few as I passed by.
The mimosa series was of particular interest as it fills in some older caches that I have been targeting. It was a great series and one that kept me entertained and took me to a lot of different areas and unusual spots, thank you.
With a walk around behind some houses, I felt very exposed before ducking off into a little grassed up area. There was a lady hanging the washing and a bloke wondering around so stealth was required. It was a quick grab and sign before to many questions got asked. Happy to get another in this series.

Walked to here from the previous cache as it’s such a nice day. Walked through shin high grass to get to GZ and after a quick search I had the cache in hand. Like previous finders mentioned the lid is broken but thanks to double bagging the log is nice and dry and the clues easily read which clarified the answers I had from the previous cache. Thought I found a geotrail out which would have shorter grass, but I ended up walking through waist high grass and in the process scared off 2 wallabies which scared the pants off me! Out with TripleTurmoil, Willis007 and Bella the Geodog for a day of caching on the south side while paying close attention to the Mimosa series and grabbing a couple other caches along the way.
I think the terrain rating on this one was a little low since getting to GZ was a tad tricky with a steep drop off to one side, one wrong step and you're in the drink. We found the cache quickly but upside down due to the container being damaged, so this would could do with a bit of maintenance.

After recently completing the Oxley series, Triple Turmoil, NayFee and myself decided to tackle the Mimosa series. I had already done the first 4 but accompanied the others on a lovely Sunday afternoon walk.
We made our way to gz and found the cache without too many issues.
Thanks Crew 153 for the cache, very much enjoying the series.

Today Willis007, Nayfee and I decided to make the Mimosa series our mission. Willis007 had already completed some of them but was happy to take us to the first few so we could finish together. We had a late start to the day but did manage to complete the whole series in 6 hrs (with a few side-tracked extra caches).
The container is not in good shape at all and needs to be replaced asap. Log book is still the original.

Continuing our quest to complete this series, we were heading to find another one in this series, and then without too much effort we found ourselves not too far from this one. With a set of coordinates, we were able to head in for the find on this one. While the log was safe and dry, the container is upside down and there is no lid on the container any more.
We are happy to collect another in the series, and gradually making our way to the end.
Thanks Crew153

I’m either overlooking the path to this one or the terrain rating is outdated. Either way, I’ll return sometime in the future.

My mission after work today was to find a few more caches in this series. All up today I found 3 and this was my second. After finding the last cache I kept on riding my bike and I was lucky again at gz to find this cache quickly after chaining my bike up to walk in. The cache was broken but again a great zip lock bag is keeping all good. Thanks for the fun
Made our way through the long grass... not the first time we’ve done that today. It wasn’t too hard really.
At GZ we found a very broken container. But contents are dry in a cliplock bag.
After signing the log we left the cache exactly as we found it.
Thanks for the fun we’re having today while finding this series.
Now we’re off to the next one... Russo.

We've had the final coordinates ready for ages, and tonight we were looking for somewhere to walk to, so choose this cache. Hopped in the car and ended up parking where we normally do our grocery shopping which ironically was barely closer than or home! While it wasn't the closest we could get to the cache, it involved taking a lovely walk through a delightful spot we didn't know existed and getting some exercise for the day. The grass-bash for the final few metres wasn't too bad at all, as the grass was dry and flattened, and we were walking over it rather than through it. After all this, it was dark by the time we arrived at GZ and we wasted too long looking at what we thought was a likely clump but definitely not T1.5. Then we wasted longer trying to work out if we'd approached from the wrong side, and looking for the lantana referred to in previous logs. Finally Mrs STW, who'd elected to stay put on the 1.5 terrain decided to use the clue and look at a different clump, and there it was! Btw, we still didn't find the lantana or any wait-a-while.
This may be the first of the Mimosa series that we actually remembered to pick up the coordinates for the next few in the series! We recall with previous Mimosa caches, a lot of back-tracking to retrieve the cache to get the numbers which had been forgotten on the first visit, and a few we have totally forgotten the task.
After we signed the log we put all the cache contents in a strong ziplock bag, as the lid of the cache has completely disintegrated. We replaced it upside down as we'd found it- this seems to have kept the contents dry to date, but a new container is desperately needed!
Thank you for another one in the series. We brought some travel bugs for the trip but decided the open position of the cache and its dilapidated state probably weren't the safest for leaving them here, so we took them on with us. Now to the next in the series ...

I squeezed in time to do one more Mimosa this afternoon before I had to go home. I parked nearby and headed over toward the cache. I expected bush bashing and I certainly wasn't disappointed. I pushed my way through all sorts of undergrowth, overgrowth and other growth and thankfully saw the cache without too much of a hunt. I added my name to the log and followed my trail back out again. Tftc Crew 153!
Why pray tell do all the Mimosa's have wait a while guards!!! So much blood loss combined with sweat today! At least another one was logged! Great series
One of my many new years resolutions was to reduce my cussing especially while driving. Here I am 11 days in and the cussing has already reached 2019 levels. This time the GPS had me all over the place trying to find an entry point close enough to bag the Clump and not have to cross over creeks, the M1 and vine choked creeks.
Luckily I had a navigator that cusses back, unprompted. Gcoven managed to find a route to this cache. And we even found more lantana and wait-a-while only two steps from GZ. Result, another blood sacrifice made to mimosa. Thanks Crew 153 for maintaining this series.

Wednesday. After thinking I could walk to this one from our last cache find, I was sadly mistaken, as I got “near” GZ and thought – how do I get over there from here? So I went back to the car and drove to a nearby spot, walked to near GZ and my arrow still said I had the cache on the other side of ‘over there’! Argh. Luckily for me, a sit and wait approach meant the phone GPS caught up and I then only had about 15m to GZ. That makes it so much better. A quick race through the grass and signing of the log, details of next cache taken and container replaced. Lid was very cracked along the side though, so possibly next lot of rain, the inside of the container might get quite wet. Otherwise all ok and glad to have another Old cache under our belt.
This was the 3rd of 4 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Crew 153***, for showing us this place.

Ooh the traffic around Garden City!
Lucky I had some time to spare this afternoon, just enough to pul in here for a cache.
A pair of dogs that would not stop barking and some tall grass to negotiate.
The place left me thinking about all the space we waste in our cities. Well not wasted as this space was used for a geocache
Thank you for this one

Another southside venture - hopefully to find the source of Mimosa today. I've already avenged the problems of M1, and now back on the trail. Found a convenient park, and wondered in toowards GZ. Another bit of long grass-bashing - but a bit easier going this time. Spotted a pretty flower ... and a cache.
Thanks Crew 153 for entertaining me at this location.

A fairly gentle wander and a quickish find. The car fuel light in on so it’s time to fuel up and get us a cold drink. Tftc we’ve enjoy today immensely!
Having given myself a good lashing at the Mimosa cache around the corner I needed to be a little bit more careful in the search. I had already sacrificed enough blood to the caching gods for one lunar cycle. I saw where I had to go and knew that I actually needed to treat my life like a precious resource. I’m not sure why I’m starting now.
Each step was slow and cautious. I remembered the last time I tried to sneak up on a polar bear to get an awesome selfie and the series of events that followed. I could handle getting a new scratch but a cut on top of a scratch can really hurt.
So I had to shelf my usual strategy of assuming that all plants are soft and cuddly. Thankfully the cache was sitting out loud and proud and I didn’t need to move around much to find it. Do they sell band-aids that can cover an entire leg? tftc

A nice December morning was spent riding Merida around the Toohey and Mt Gravatt trails, getting exercise and collecting smilies along the way.
Wasn't quite sure if my choice if access points would put me on the right side of the creek, but it turned out to be spot on. Quick easy find here, all good with this container.

I was parked not too far from here but at that time I did not have the co-ords for this cache. Had to walk through some lantana to reach the cache but easy find when I arrived at GZ. A few scratches and signed the log, noted the co-ords for the next 2 caches and replaced as found. TFTC
Hardest part of this cache was finding the place to park.
After 2 attempts we finally arrived where we needed to be.
A nice little wander, firstly with long grass facing me and then the correct entry to the cache.
Signed the log and noted the last clues.

Found with stairman1. We started this series in 2011 and decided it was time to finish it. With no Geodog anymore to accompany us, it was lonely to do these. We had to fight our wag through the plants to grab this one. All good here
Found with Goldielover here today. We started this series a couple of years ago and never got around to finishing it. Had to start from the beginning again. Another great area to discover.

We managed to locate the cache easily enough and with our names added to the log book, we continued on our way

Out with barbbowman, Mrs JAT and muggle mother-in-law Pat today, on the hunt for more Mimosas. Mimosa #4 and all I could think of was 'we're going on a bear hunt' - there was grass, head high grass. Can't go over it, can't go under it, we'll have to go through it! Swishy, swashy, swishy, swashy! And through it we went . TFTC Crew153.

I had some trouble finding the best way to get to GZ for this one but I finally figured it out, and was on the right side of the creek. However, the only access point was right next to a house where a tradie was loading his truck. I searched the maps to see if there was another way in but I couldn't find it. So, I decided to just walk in past the tradie but then his dogs started barking and didn't stop until I was almost at GZ.
I made a quick, easy find and then wandered off a different way to see if there was another way out that wouldn't involve the dogs but I came to a dead end and had to backtrack.
I thought I'd got away with it but just as I got back to my car, the dogs noticed me and started up again. I jumped in and took off as quickly as I could.

Our plans for today were interrupted by inclement weather, so mid-morning we decided to complete this series which we started in September last year. We invited Gullivers Travels54 to join us, as they had completed a similar number.
Well this was a bit of a drive from the previous cache: fortunately only a relatively shorter distance to the cache.
Log signed and replaced as discovered. Found at 11.30am on 15th September 2016. TFTC.

Monkey Maker was a little quicker at getting to GZ then I so had the cache in hand by the time I got there - the night light on the neighbours fence looked just like Jesus! LOL Obviously it was dark and I was tired by then! TFTC Nice little spot you would never find if you don't cache.
A short drive from the last had us soon parked close by. It was pretty late by now and I don't think a house light was on anywhere in the street. We wandered back down the road, tip toed past the last house into the parkland. We had a bit of a wander around looking for the best entry point but in the end we just had to stroll through the long grass to GZ.
I was really grateful for the hint on this one as otherwise it could have been a long search. By torch light I spotted the cache from a distance, it was upside down and just hanging on for dear life. I didn't actually notice the creek waaaay down there until I lent over and reached for the cache. Well I'm glad I didn't fall down there while searching. Not sure what happened to the cache, animal I guess. Nothing was missing, so we signed in, grabbed the clues and headed for the car with a few orchids trailing behind.
Thanx again Crew153

Down from Toowoomba visiting family again. Only time for one quick cache to fill in a calendar day. After trying my luck with another mimosa with no luck we came across to this one and were a little worried. All of us dressed in thongs and shorts, not quiet geocaching attire. We headed to GZ wondering if we would make a pass here to. After a short while we found an easish way in. Very happy to have another smiley on the mimosa series. TFTC crew153
As soon as I sat down...a pheasant flew away...I'm carrying a pheasant feather for the last cache.... A hint for travellers...if it seems dangerous or sketchy dont go down
Getting out and about for the find today and this was not far from where I was heading so decided to make the stop. Found a good looking access point and headed in. I walked around a little looking for the best approach and the first found me blocked by trees, so back around to another and soon found the container I was looking for. Got my name in the book and soon enough I was heading onwards.

NurseyJulie and I were following the Mimosa series. We parked near this one and wandered along towards GZ. Once there, NurseyJulie made a quick find. We added our names to the logbook and rehid the cache before heading off to the next one
Continuing the journey along Mimosa, we parked at the end of the road and made our way into this 'Clump". A nice surprise there was this little bit of remenent piece of bush. It was rather clumpy and overgrown here but we forged a trail along to the GZ. TFTC Crew 153
From Roley we tried to access this cache from where we were parked for Roley. Head high lantana and a creek made this rather tricky, o a drive around to a different spot made for a much easier find. Tftc
Another find today with lisylou missussan and remsjw easier to drive around and not to retrieve from roly log nice and dry tftc
I tried to access this from the Roly cache and needless to say it was near on impossible. So after tackling 40 plus metr3s of 8foot hogh dense Lantana I turned back and then we found a much easier access point from another street.
Out with the Tough Mothers looking for a clump of caches. Tried from the wrong side of the creek through lantanas etc. but better from the other side.
I was in the area so decided to check on the cache.
Boy! has it changed in the 9 years since I put it there. The cache used to be at the edge of a nice, open mown area. Now that is all overgrown and it is a bit of a bash through long grass to get to the cache. But, the cache was there and easy to spot. Probably better hidden than when I placed it.

A little more driving into unfamiliar parts and I was soon wandering into a remarkable area, in terms of the contrast between nature and construction. I wonder if any neighbours wonder why people keep marching into here? Anyway, cache was found high and dry, though I was very wary of snakes in this kind of terrain. TFTC where all is fine.
As Barb had previously found McGregor we were able to pick up there and find a few others. This was one.
Approached from wrong way at first, but eventually found my way to the right spot. Made our way to GZ and quickly located cache. While I signed the log, Barb noted the clues. On to the next.

This one was actually supposed to be my first find for the day. Unfortunately I found out just how far 30 meters could be through lantana, and I decided to retrace my steps out and would return later in the day another way.
Cue a few hours later and after completing another in this series.....Ok I can't make it through from the last one! I had one of those moments of 'oh...I'm back HERE! Bugger'.
So I walked back to my transport and hoofed it up for a MUCH easier insertion point.
The barking dogs were not happy that I parked so close, and yapped and yapped until the owner came out. Fortunately by that time I had moved out of sight. A bit of a geotrail led me on a windy circuit until I had the hide in view. There is just no hiding a pile of parallel sticks!
Log signed and returned...clue taken. Maybe I have time for one more!

This was the last cache for the afternoon as dusk was well on the way and I was tired. A glass of Shiraz was calling my name
Greeted by a cacophony of barking dogs at the corner property. Scooted over to GZ with an expectation that GZ would turn out to be on the other side of the creek and was grateful to make an easy find Whew!
There's a big sign here saying the creek should be avoided because of a sewage spill... Ew! Didn't feel like a swim, anyway
Back past the woofers and set Sooty on the road home. Need to disinfect my feet
TFTC Crew 153! Getting through this series in dribs 'n' drabs.

Met up with DiamonJs to finish this series. We had attempted this one previously nearing dusk but with all the long grass we decided to save it for today. Upon arrival we found a nice easy path leading straight to GZ...how did we miss this last time? Headed in and found the cache laying out in the open. Log signed and cache replaced so it was out of sight. TFTC and series Crew153
The Hunting Rabbits and I are going to finish this series today, we had visited this spot last time we did some but it was getting very dark and the long grass was a worry, so back today and easy find. Now onto the next. TFTC
We walked the little chikins (2 and 4) from Mimosa Roly over to this cache. Back into the long grass we went but this time it was only a short walk. GZ on our GPS had us all standing on a concrete drain thing with a big drop off one side down into the creek. The kids and I decided to sit down on this whilst Daddy started the hunt. Lincoln (2) has words of wisdom and tells me that what he is sitting on has no back and that he can fall down into the creek. Eloise (4) decided to bear hug him so he doesn't fall off. I can see them both started to fight and someone falling off so just as I was about to relocate to safer ground Daddy suddenly yells out that he can see the cache hide. So we toddled off to this location which felt much safer indeed. Did the usual swaps - Eloise found a dinosaur on the ground which we assume came from the cache so she gave that to Lincoln and we added more loot to the cache. Thanks Crew153 for another pleasant morning doing three more of your Mimosa series. 6 down - 1 to have another go on and 2 yet to try!! All co-ords now in hand.
Out with Geoson this afternoon and this was our second find. We had started this series a while ago and already had the co-ords for this one. We were welcomed to GZ by 3 very small but noisy dogs, and then a big sign warning us not to swim or fish in Mimosa due to a sewerage spill - things could only get better. Once I saw the warning sign it dawned on me that we could be on the wrong side of the water course. Thankfully no sewerage crossing was involved. Quick find and all signed and returned. TFTC
Having grabbed the co-ords from another Mimosa cache earlier in the morning I was able to make a last grab on the way home. Tftc.
A sunny Saturday to be out and about looking for geocaches.
My mission today is the Mimosa series.
Working out where to park was the hardest part of this cache.
Eventually I worked it out as I used to cycle through these back streets daily for a couple of years commuting to work. aaaahhhh...the memories. lolol
Thanks for the cache.

EggInTheSky and I were out on a quest to find the Mimosa series in one evening. After a slower start we had picked up momentum and were parked and ready to find Clump.
We passed the annoyingly loud dogs and found the eponymous clump quick enough.
There we discovered another battalion of spiders and after evading most of them, we were at GZ with the cache in hand.
We signed up, collected the last coordinate for the series and our ambitious quest was looking almost achievable.
Now if we had been more prepared before we had started (and fairly specifically in the ‘read the cache details before starting’ sort of a way) we may have had some different feelings as we got back to the car, but that wasn’t the case.
Next target, Russo.

I was cleaning up the final few caches in this series today. The dogs were barking at me as well, one of them is a Whippet! We have 2 at home so I always enjoy seeing them. The grass was quite high on the way in so I was hoping not to meet any Joe Blake's. for a second I was cursing Crew when I thought I may have been on the wrong side of the creek... Then I spotted the container . All good .
Pretty smelly water right here, I wonder where the water for the waterfall comes from?
Cheers for the outing Crew153

Bummer! Continued onto this one by foot. Took the most direct route first but no luck. Recalculated and got within 90m if GZ and there's a bunch of tradies camped there for lunch. I had better go grab some lunch myself and I'll leave this one for another day. Cheers Crew153
Out and about with teamdfl for 2 crazy days of hunting
Continuing on with the series, but a Maccas stop was required first Another easy stroll and find. Clue noted again. TFTC, Crew 153.

Out with IolantheK for 2 days of fun and adventure. With IolantheK doing the nav, and me doing the steering we were winding our way through the series quite successfully. Fuelled up on caffeine on the way to this one, so the short stroll was a breeze
We eventually found our way into the streets around GZ, and parked close. The local dogs obviously don't see many strangers as they had a few words. A short walk through very long grass, and a quick find (is this part of this series? ).
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Last of the Mimosa series for us. We left Toohey and the main challenge was finding the roads that linked best into this area. Almost approached from the back of a sports area but jungle confronted us and only separated us by 120m but that way was a nightmare. A much better approach was found and after crossing a grass area we only had 20 or so metres of thigh high grass to the cache.
All was well and in good condition.
Thanks for the entertainment in this series Crew 153

Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
We parked in a nearby street and made our way closer to the cache with barking dogs int he background, we soon came to an area with very tall grass, and the GPSr still pointing in... We ventured in and after a bit of bashing about we made our to GZ and the GPSr had us right on top of the cache. With the log signed we made a slightly more direct route out and headed off insearch of the next cache in the series.

Oh the description for this one is far too right. It was a very easy find once we got to GZ. Right where the GPS wanted me and in good condition. Getting to GZ though..
The closest road provided a parking spot and we walked in to the building easily. From there we still had 40 odd metres to go, and the grass was really long. As we stepped into it, it squished down and in most places was my shoulder height. Mighty hard going and I'm glad it was not summer. We swam to the cache, taking a sweeping right hander to get there thanks to a silly GPS and the direct route out.
A bit of a different spot here and a bit itchy afterwards, but TFTC Crew 153

Made our way past the giant cache guarding spiders to get to this one. The grass has been mowed recently in the area just for our arrival . Thanks Crew 153
I lead the charge into the area and found this cache at its home. It was in okay condition.. until I put the cache back and pushed down gently but firmly on the lid to hide it and it cracked The container had been comprimised by the sun and was briggle. Being the self-concious fellow I am, I went back to the car and got a new identical container and put all the items in it and re-hid it. Everything is as it should be with intact clues and logbook. 5/05/10 2.45pm - out with rhesusfactor tackling a few pesky multies. Had tried to track this one down end of last year but my GPS had me trying to cross the creek but wasn't keen. Today Rhesusfactor knew the back way to this one and soon we were there. A track through the long grass led us to believe that someone else had been looking for this one too. Found easily and logbook signed, etc. Back to car quickly and onto the next one. TFTC.
this one required me to swing down a street i've never seen even though i live a few hundred meters from it. cache is very exposed but far from the general public path.
Oh BOy all long grass , we walk throught to find cache.. found cache.. OH PHEW!!!!!!!!
I made my approach a lot harder than it needed to be and followed the previous hunters geotrail into GZ. Wasn't too worried about slithery creatures as I wanderred in as I figured it was too cool for them to be out to play...
At GZ, I spotted the cache quickly and did what I needed to do. On the way out, local residents were out in their back yard but fortunately they had their backs to me and before anyody spotted me, I was almost back on the road back to the Gunniemobile...
Cheers Crew153.

I was a little worried about the long grass here and sprinted through like a surfer does in knee high water. I initially thought the cache was on the structure close to GZ but further inspection revealed it to be just a little way away. I did the anti-snake shuffle again only to realise I didn't get the next set of coods - so it was back again!
After all that I didn't end up continuing the series, I'll have to get them next time I'm here.
Cheers,

Entered into the book of LEDGIN's. Decided to leave "Poly" for another day. (Still in shorts). Parked near this nice little area and on to GZ. Once again there is a track into GZ. Found cache ok. Tried to lift grass to cover track as I left. I made this my last for the day so I could beat the traffic home. TNLN. Thanks again Crew153. (4 more in this series to go.)
