I found the camo part of this cache "hanging out" displaying the geocaching sign. Of the cache I could only find the lid, no container or log book. I replaced sign and camo as to hide it from muggle eyes until it can be repaired.
Find #46 on a big day of geocaching with Mastamak! Found at 5.15pm by Kidz Mum
First we were grossed out by the dead bird but after reading the logs we realised that the cache was not that sick. However, the cache is not in a great way because the two parts have separated and only one can be found.

Yes the dead bird is still in the tree.
Great camo.
This cache needs maintenance as once found the container was not attached to the lid.

Have been looking at this one for a few weeks.
Took a short drive, let BG take the GPS and did the scenic route.
Nice hide.

Wow, a very clever cammo hide, that took a few minutes to find.
Absolutely loved it.
Thanks vwnuts for the hide.

Thanks vwnuts for the hide.
Found my way quickly to the cache area, but couldn't see where it could possibly be. Started poking around in a hole and then suddenly a bird popped up and poked its head out. Scared the beegeebees out of me. Hmm, so that is what he was referring to.
Found the dead bird and thought that must have been the cache. Decided not to grab it yet (phew, lucky I didn't).
Found the cache and, yes, it is a great hide. Thanks vwnuts for the cache. TNLN.

Loved it! Thanks to Freddo's comments I also spent the morning singing THAT song! No nasties swooping around today. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Two lorekeets were very upset. A friend had died in one of the tree hollows. Recently. Most of the Dead Parrot remained.
Insert the rest of the Dead Parrot sketch here.
Thankfully it was not the cache location.
Actually when ever I see or say Paperbark I word associate to the song Paperback Writer. Tune and all. Weird.

Thanks vwnuts - this was our favourite cache - a truly amazing camo job at which we could look and not see.
Unfortunately - dead parrot in a hole. and magpie swooping gave some extra excitement.

Very nice hide. First hidey hole I tried was inhabited by a beatiful parrot. Dont know which one of us got a bigger fright. He was very verbose about it. Liked this one a lot!
Very clever little hide. I started off by looking in a couple of holes in the tree. After a bit of a poke the tree started to make nosises. At first I stepped back, because it seemed a bit weird. But then I gave it a bit closer inspection, only to have a parrot stick it’s head out about two inches from my nose. I think he said to me “There’s no cache in here†and then flew off.
Thanks vwnuts.

Had the opportunity to travel to Queensland for some training. Between plenary sessions and workshops I thought "what else to do", Go Caching . Found some great little hides and scenery. Only just scratched the surface. Brought a few travel bugs across from the west. This was a great hide, will remember this for one in the West.
Located easily but still marvelled at the ingenuity!!

Found 1101 with Brian the Explorer. Clever hide but found it easily enough, the clue helped. Went for a well earned coffee after this one.
Had a bit of an idea what we were looking for so wasn't too hard to find. Great hide! TFTC!
Was given an early mark from work and didn't need any other excuse to spend a day out caching, however not quite prepared with any swaps. Also some people have been playing mind games and not logging when they pick up TB's went to three today where there should have been one and found it not to be when I arrived.
Nice easy find. Great hidey hole for the cache.

This cache was find number 84 of 102 finds I did with Dtay for our record attempt on Saturday 18 November 2006.
We were here at 18:15 hours.
I think I was lucky with this one - as I approached GZ, I spotted something - sure enough some investigation revealed a very clever hide. We recorded our visit and replaced the cache - once again marvelling at its ingenuity.
TFTC - Well done vwnuts

Found at 18:15 hours. Paul spoted this one straight away, during the day this could be tricky bit at night the shadows can give this away. Very clever this one

Came upon something like this when we were in Bathurst. It took us three visits to find that cache. So with that in mind we found this cleverly hidden cache quite easily. Well done. Thanks vwnuts
well im probably a little biased, but this is the best hide ive seen. we 'poked' around for a while with graham looking on amusing himself eventually i saw it staring back at me. Brilliant

Damn clever idea! Perused the site for a while thinking like a bird, when eventually it jumped out and bit me. Well done Graham, but what I'd like to know, is just how do you fit a dinosaur in a micro?
Paperbark – Found at 7:03pm, This was impressive. I have already noted in the GCA forums that this is the most brilliant cache I have found so far, certainly the best I have found in the 59 I have found today. Before finding it, I had climbed the tree as far as the 2nd lowest branches, which are a fair way up anyhow. We were almost ready to give up when number 1 geodaughter discovered the secret of this cache. Very good hiding, made more difficult to find in the dark.

Found this time by Sunshine Toledo and Razza. What a brilliant hide! How come I didn't see that last time. The rainbow lorikeets are still nesting nearby. TNLN Thanks for a good hide.
A very clever hide, but please take extra care when looking for this one. A rainbow lorrakeet is living in a tree hollow on the same location and I don't know who was more scared the vird or me wheni stuck my hand in looking for the cache.

What an inventive and clever hide! The rainbow lorikeets watched us the whole time, they seemed so tame! They even weeed sp. [?] (urinated) on the GeoBoys heads. Another good laugh for THENANKS.

What a classic!!! A new standard in cache camouflage. Nice n' easy to spot for cachers, but this will never be muggled. Love it. Signed log and managed to fit in a glow in the dark dinosaur. This cache really is well worth doing.
Thanks for a very imaginative cache.

Great little cache, what a great hiding spot.
Lots of houses nearby, so tried to be as discreet as possible hoping no one was wondering what I was up too.

Nice hide - something different. The paperback is starting to come apart a little. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Very cute hide. We had to do some engineering to make the hide look natural. Looked pretty good when we left. TFTC
Quick ride on the bike this morning so what else does one do than take your GPS.

Sadly I did not find this today. I have been on Norfolk Island but contacted vwnuts before I left and was hoping that it may have been replaced before I came back.
My GPSr told me that I was in the right spot, and saw the evidence of a perfect location. A call to the Emu mob help line confirmed that I was right on the money. Never mind. Thanks vwnuts but you missed me by that much. Maybe next time I am up this way.

Well I have the cache container back again, so with a bit of a fix up, I'll have the cache back in operation in a day or two.
Thanks Agsmky for retrieving the container....I don't know how it got returned to the cache location?!?!

Well i can say it is there now, though it has no logbook .....the cache bits have been returned to their rightful owners.
BTW this is a great little cache hide, with some effort placed on the container itself....well done VWs.

The entire cache has gone missing..... I see the council workers have mown the park. Not sure if they found it or someone else. Not sure if I'll be able to replace in the same area or not. I'll see what I can do in the next week.
Found by HOTANDSWEATY.
This cache is well done. A tricky and unique hide with spot on coordinates that is still a bit of a challenge to find.
Tahnks very much for the cache VWNUTS.

What a very nice location. Uncle Gary (my BIL) was with me today while I did some caches north of Brisbane and with this one only 3.6k's from home it was the first one we hit.
We saw the general location when we first got there but the actual location had us tricked for some minutes. Uncle Gary spotted the CCCC and called me around to spot what he had seen. Wow! I love caches like this and this was a fantastic start to the day.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks vwnuts. Don't be surprised if a cache like this turns up in Melbourne, I loved it that much.

Found 10.15am in company with Jolly. What a wonderful hide! Thanks for the imaginative cache. SL
Found it with no problems from the magpies. Great little spot nicely hidden! thank you
First find - took hosts and all kids. Found location and cache with little trouble. Kids well fascinated! Well hidden - nice location! Watch out for the magpies - warnings posted for birdstrikes. I'm hooked - will seek more when return home (New Zealand!).
Second of three finds on the way to the airport. As others have said, it's a very clever hide. Well done! I arrived at the obvious GZ and set about trying to find it. No cigar! Hmmmmm! Stuck hand in hole, but found neither spider nor cache. Had a proper look, and noticed something amiss at 1750. The log book is looking a bit scrappy. Thanks to vwnuts for the cache.
Great hidey-hole. Watchout for the Butcher Birds nesting nearby. I nearly had my head taken off.

OK, went back this afternoon. Found it and logged it this time. I did find it last night, but wasn't able to access it. This time I didn't have the same problem.
This is a 1st class hide - I'm very impressed!
I didn't have a pen with me, so I had to sign the log book using a rock
Thanks for the cache.
