Easy find based on hint - kids enjoyed stone collecting on the beach - had to limit them to only two stones to take home! TFTC
Log book no longer viable - desperately needs replacing. Also the coordinates should not have an offset. I suggest S40 44.833 E172 42.546
Log book too wet to sign. We'll go back for an explore around the area some dry day. cheers.
3rd and final stop on today's caching walk. Logbook is sopping wet, so we couldn't sign it. Great cache!

Found cache....a bit wet due to improper sealing of container, but still lots of goodies and fun. Have taken travel bug for a long journey north for some fun in the sun.
#1078 Down for Easter, heading for Bainham overnight. Another nice stop on the way. Took a moment to locate. SL. TFTC.
Find this one with help of the hint. Sorter reminded me of Motueka a bit. Thanks for the cache
The bay is beautiful. I really liked the spot. The hint was perfect! The cache was wet though, after a whole night of rain.

Turned off the main highway, immediately understanding the cache name. Nice little spot, but we didn't have time to linger. Thanks!

Caching day in the Bay. Another trip down memory lane. A beautiful day to explore further down the road and visit the old Onekaka wharf - My parents used to bring us here for picnics and to fish off the wharf many, many years ago - about 58 in fact. TFTC
Cache was quickly in hand with a little help from the clues. I love this beach and we went for a stroll, taking lots of photos of the relic and other POIs. TFTC
A trip down memory lane - many years ago, 58 in fact - my parents used to pile us all in the car and head out to Onekaka wharf for a day's playing on the beach, swimming, picnicking and fishing off the wharf. TFTC and bringing back happy memories. +coin
This cache had us parking across the road in the small reserve area before pulling out the GPS II+ and getting down to business. The cache was found easily and in good condition. SL - no swaps. Thanks to surf'n for the cache
1400hrs Better coords are 40.48.834 172.42.547 although it isn't hard to find using the clue. The Italian Job was here......! Our blog www.motorhominginxs.blogspot.com
Cache was found while niteowl & little liquorboy09 went searching in the bushes
A nice little drive to this one and while sending part of the party on a wild goose chase for the cache the rest of us stayed in the dry and recovered the cache TFTC.
As part of the "party sent on wild goose chase" wasnt the spotter of this one but made it out of the very wet undergrowth in time to sign log and help replace cache !!!! done with Stretch0 and team Liquorboy09 thanks for the cache
Quick find. Wonder if this place is good for netting or spearing flounders? - Prickly Pear geocoin.
A quick find once we got to GZ, no major issues here. This was another cool little spot in Golden Bay. TFTC TNLNSL (1718)
Quick find, but a bit exposed, so we endeavoured to cover slightly. Big out going tide so definitely not a place for a swim. Viewed the marine relic; Mrs Three D's recalls her father speaking about shipping in there in his early days at sea. TFTC
Thank you for putting the cache in this area. Took cube and left $100 Australian frig magnet. TFTC
Ah! We could not figure the reason for this one, but now that I read the page I see we missed the relics. Drat! TFTC anyway. TNLN
Nice find on a wet day, nice stones on the beach

We stopped here to eat our lunch and had the amusing time of watching a boat trying to come up the channel and all the time hearing that ugly sound of propellor hitting stones. Ouch! TNLN Thanks.
Found on the way back to Nelson from a visit to the Heaphy Track. Think I worked out the play on words in the cache name and explained it to Mr KE. TFTC, Biggles.
Hi - we have sent an email to you about this cache, as it was completely saturated and the lid was off it. May have been muggled. Dried everything out, re-sealed it and replaced the log book with temporary one, as it was unreadable and un-useable. If you live nearby, please revisit this cache to replace the log book. Took the wet piglet travelbug and will put him in another cache in the next few days. Thanks, it was a good hiding place.
Dropped Piglet off. He has been with us rather a long time Im afraid - he didnt want to leave!
Found this cache after a serious effort at the muscle inn the night before. ended up camping here on a friend advice without knowing the cache was nearby.
Found it easily enough but like the previous person said, it is rather wet and needs someone to dry it out. Thanks.
Cache was saturated. Dried as best we could in the time we stayed there but log book very soggy. Rescued a very wet kiwi and left a hot transformer.Nice spot we'd walked there the day before along the beach but forgot the gps.
The top of the cache was not put on properly and we found everything was wet. TNLN
Like so many others had never been down this road. A couple of other groups around but doing their own thing. Disappointing to see toilet paper in some trees - especailly as there are toilets in the area. An area well worth returning to. TNLN TFTC

Just maybe this is not a traditional cache? If finding it requires additional instructions from the web, then it's probably a mystery or an unknown. Frustrating for this one lazy foreign cacher...
Quickly found. Liked the orange colouring of the stones along the water's edge. A tranquil spot for a morning cup of tea.
Nice quick find. Celebrated with a drink at the near by Mussel Inn. I can recommend the Apple Cider. TNLNSL TFTC
Campervan parked across the road, but they weren't awake yet - so uninterrupted hunt. Thanks.
We need a good drive in, because it was raining...and we found this one

We walked from Tukurua via the road, got the cache then went back along the coast, nice spot, however the tide was in! Didnt get too wet though. TFTC.
Rather late in logging this cache but we have only just returned to the UK after a great holiday. Nice quiet area today. Hot and sunny. TNLN TFTC Dan'gle
Quick drive by - people nearby using the tidal flow at outlet as waterslide - quite comical really

Onekaka, Tahikaka... if a pun is the lowest form of witticism, is a bilingual pun the lowest form of half-witticism? Hard to imagine this as an industrial area "an ironworks was established based on the area's ironsands and the coal of Puponga. A derelict wharf juts seaward, and inland the plant and buildings of the works that produced 40,000 tons of pig iron between 1922 and 1935 have all but vanished. Onekaka means hot sands." (Mobil SI Travel Guide 1981)
Have watched this marine relic decay over many years. I have historic photos of it soon after it was built and the iron works it was connected to. Tide in, so Weasel had a swim in the channel. Cache damp, but dried out in the sun. TNLN TFTC
Holidaying at Tukurua, quick easy find on the way to Takaka. Took Pill Box ? , left Spirit Magnet.
Hot and Sunny at the Beach ! TFTC !

Easy find while the fam looked for the wharf remains. Took NZ 50c piece left pillbox.
What's Christmas Day without finding a cache or two? Walked off Christmas lunch, along the beach from our camp, to find this one. Have done this walk and/or run more times than I can count (Mr Explorer). I now know though that it is 3.4km's return in a straight line.
i remember this one as the clue was excellent. Even near by muggles did not stop this cacher! Thanks very much.
Did this one on holiday but did so many I can't remember which it was! my machine says I did it though... I'm sure it was lovely...
More of the wharf has disappeared, not much left by now. Lovely area; got our eyes on the whee house overlooking the smaller bay. Thanks for the cache.

Don't Know where MR Mo was looking but by the note he sent to us he was either reading the wrong clues or totally lost.
a nice little place but you must be the worst speller ever takaka dosn't have an "H" or an "I" it's just a "T" some "K"'s and "A"'s
This is our type of cache - found in 10 seconds flat during our holiday from the UK. Afterwards we went for a look at the wharves so thanks for taking us to an interesting spot.

Enjoyed our small holiday to Golden Bay and geocached our way from Christchurch there and back. Thanks to all our fellow geocachers for guiding our journey.
