TFTC from the Kayakviking! An old date I was missing. Love an oldie and goodie......Took the alternative path to start high and after letting the GPS settle soon had a lock on some likely hidey rocks. All good at GZ. Let the book dry out in the sun and wandered on.Cheers KV
wow this one was fun but please update this had a lot of bush bashing and the terrain rating should be higher
Took a detour from the Great North Walk to get this. Maybe a little more than a 2 terrain these days, but not too bad of a scramble. Easy to find once I got to GZ. TFTC!
Scoping out cycle options along this beautiful part of Sydney, thanks for a great cache
What a beautiful place. A beautiful walk down the trail. So lush and green, wished we had more time to investigate further. Thanks for bringing us here, placing and maintaining this cache FP
Finally had the time and was in the right spot to collect this ancient cache. Now to finally chase down the final.

Why oh why do you keep making me go into snake and spider territory in this cache series??! TFTC!
Detoured while doing a section of the great north walk. Took longer then I wanted to for the find. Nice to do an oldie. Tftc tnln
I approached from the lower path (who knows why) and the phone had the compass needle doing spins all over the place and I had to stop and let it settle a few times before deciding on a direction. During one of those stops I surveyed my surrounds and spotted a nook that was worth investigation. Huzzah! Great container and a lovely bush setting. Thanks hydroflare.
Took some looking around, and wasn't sure whether we would find it or not, however after some climbing, and searching we managed to find the box. Great cache, well hidden!
After visiting GC6N6HB I continued finding this cache. The GPS was all over the place but with some logic the container was in my hands pretty quickly. A nice walk through the woods on this hot morning.

Really took some time searching once we got within 5 metres of it but it was in such a great spot, nice find!
Saturday adventures brought me to this beautiful bush to do some hiking and recharging. Met some funny women on my way here which brightened up my day.
Got close to GZ and had to come around from another angle and once I was at 0m I looked around and climbed around until I soon spotted something. My arms could only just reach it but I got it and signed the log. Now I’m sitting on this rock listening to all the cockatoos and taking in the beautiful fresh air.
Thank you for bringing me to this place, favourite point for making me feel better.

I was really happy to find this cache, because I was just about to give up when I looked in an unsuspecting spot. I had my young geokid with me and was expecting easier terrain, which is why I didn’t (at first) venture into more challenging territory. Cache was in great condition and we were pleasantly surprised with the treasure within. Geokid loved his swap choice!
Afterwards we explored the terrain between the two main trails which was loads of fun. Even found a fort!
TFTC, especially the size and contents.

This took 30 mins! Took the wrong track of the fire trail, though with some bush bashing and jumping rocks, leveraged myself to obtain the cache! Tftc!
Swung by with patwazhear this arvo -- cache wasn't where I remember finding it 10 years ago, but coords bang on -- was worried this one could've been a long search.
With the last clue secured, sat on a nearby rock to work out Cygnet-4

Surprised how far the co-ords took us off the trail - searched high and low among the rocks but no luck!
Tftc. Second in series this afternoon. This one took a bit longer than #1. Plenty of places too look but found after a bit of a wander.
TFTC and was a bit of a tricky find. Once I had CIH I couldn’t even get it open because the lid was screwed on to tightly! Recommend a tool to help unscrew it! Have a photo and would also love the hint that is inside these caches
Nice walk with no one around. Cache in good nick. Only number 1 to go and then the puzzle to solve. TFTC and the series.
The capsule was well camouflaged and was hidden in an awesome spot. Absolutely loved it!
Not gonna lie, this one took me forever to find! It was one of my first finds and between trying to get to the area and actually finding it, this one was so much fun, thank you!
After a failed attempt last year, I finally managed to convince some helpers to come and have another look with me. All that time in self isolation has obviously sharpened our skills, because once we got our devices to agree on where we were, it was a pretty quick find (frustratingly close to where i was poking around last time).

A caching outing in and around Turramurra and Lane Cove NP. I was in the area to pick up some second hand sporting gear and while here I wanted to do some caching in these unspoiled parts, plus making sure I finally get Australias oldest cache!
I had an awesome time, mostly doing caches in the bush. I had all the bush completly to myself and even if some of the walks where not far from houses (and all right in civilisation) it still felt like a real nature outing.
This cache:
SInce the first one was so nice and I had just found it I was keen to have a go at number two. An even ptrettier and more remote location, very nice here. A bit of bush bashing from the eastern part had me at GZ quickly and I was happy to make the find without too much search or getting tangeled in blackberries.
Thank you hydroflare for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Out with geofam for geoboys cubing comp. as geowife mentioned in previous post, I was the silly one to wear thongs. Love the area. Hope to come back this way for more caching with there being lots around. TFTC.
Found with Bigswifty1 tftc. Beautiful bushland. Hard but worth the effort. Thanks for the dedication to the hide

Well, we are on the trail of the Cygnet series of caches. Literally in this case. We were in the mood for a walk so we strolled in from North Epping. Lovely, the birds were out in force! Bit of a fun bash up to the cache which we found reasonably easily.
I read with interest the logs about this cache going missing. I guess I'm not very experienced, but I really cannot see how a cache like this could be found accidentally. I guess that means that someone actively searched it out on the geocache website and found it, then thought "this is a good container" (which it is) and then basically stolen it. Kinda pathetic but that's people for ya, right? It was fun to have a leisurely prowl around Brown's Waterhole and the nearby bush, where I used to play as a kid 50 years ago.
Clue noted for ongoing Cygnet series. And for bonus we managed to snaffle [GC48Y0X](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC48Y0X_valley-view?guid=7f6a8299-ab01-4bac-b518-08ceeee75fdb) on the way out. Fantastic, thank you so much hydroflare for the thought and care that's gone into this cache and the series, we are enjoying them very much. A favourite point from me!

Wow. That was tricky. I’d just say there’s a safe way up the large rocks. Got within 2 m of it before searching manually. Very well camouflaged. Not where we first thought it would be. Ie not part of the large rock formation. TFTC. Needed for Mystery Tour but now may try find the other clues for cygnet 4.
I spent almost an hour looking for this, unable to get a lock on the GPS. The places I was being sent to were arguably higher than T2, so I abandoned the electronics and just used my senses with still no luck. I’ll have to come back another day with fresh eyes, and maybe more of them!
Nice early AUSTRALIA Day walk.

Made the return visit today and was impressed with the quick replacement and excellent container. Swapped some swag (swapped a light for a different type of light and hero disc), and dropped a TB. A great new spot, unlikely to get muggled anytime soon I'd think. Thanks Hydroflare. Hopefully it won't be long before I get to Cygnet-4. TFTC.
I said id come back another day, i just didnt think it would be this soon.
I was passing through the area and checking out the available caches and was surprised that the CO had visited and replaced this one so promptly.
At the GZ my GPS was having some issues so i ended up putting it down and searching the old fashioned way.
Because of the sprinkling rain today the bush was damp and while i wasnt paying attention to where i put my feet i slipped on some leaf litter on a boulder and grazed my arm up. That will teach me to stay focused on what im doing.
Hydroflares replacement cache is high quality work. It took a little bit of searching to find it but when i spotted the camo i knew i had the right place.
After taking a photo of the Cygnet 4 clue and signing the new log i replaced it and headed back up to Koombalah Ave.
Thanks for maintaining this one Hydroflare.

Confirmed today that the cache is missing from its location.
Have scoped out a new location nearby and will be installing a replacement Cygnet-2 cache over the next few days.
Apologies to those who were in the right spot and unable to locate it. Message me if you want the clue to locate Cygnet-4 and I can send it to you.

DIdn't find this today which was disappointing because I was hoping to complete Cygnet-4. I saw a post from today's date but when I contacted them thy indicated that they'd made the find last year but were only just logging it now. I searched quite thoroughly, and then after looking through the previous logs, convinced myself that I had extensively searched the right area. I suspect this has gone missing and will email some photos of my search area to the CO to try and confirm whether this has gone walkabout.
I will check this one on the weekend and replace it if it has been muggled. Stay tuned.
Did not find this cache. Looked in holes and under boulders.
The coordinates are ok to find but cache is not at this location.

No luck with this one today.
I spent about 30 mins clambering around the boulders, looking in crevices, expanding my search and doing a double check with no success.
Ill have to try again another day.

Found while waling this section of the great north track. My gz was right on top of the big rock. Searched there first and then moved to where I thought I would hide a cache. I then found the cache TFTC
FOUND IT!! YAY! 3rd one today! I better rush now, a 2h walk is taking me much longer than expected!
Located at 7:01pm. Have wanted to go for this one for awhile but never had the right chance or enough time. Today with lots of traffic obstructing the way home I went the alternate way and decided it was time to go for them. This was a very satisfying filler for the Jasmer grid, and such a great cache it was too. Very pleasant sized-canister. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!
Nice quick find today after set out to find the series today . Thanks hydroflare for hiding the cache and creating the series. All good at the cache Cheers
Tftc, headed past the busy school drop off and parked on Robin Street where I entered the track. Made the pleasant walk down the track, then down the 'stairs' before finding a geotrack that lead me right to the cache. I'm pretty sure I have found a Cygnet cache before but didn't get the clue for Cygnet 4. Made sure I grabbed this one.

An afternoon walk along a part of the Great Northern Walk, together with the geo-dog. With the sun warming up the bush, we passed the Lane Cove Creek and after a short walk climbed a bit up and found the large container.
I then climbed up a bit further to enjoy sitting on the rock and overlooking the surroundings. But without my geo-buddy and her backpack full of picnic goodness it was not the same so I quickly moved on. But not after a selfie...
Thanks for the cache,

Today we drove our new geomobile over to South Turramurra to target the cluster of caches, both new and old, that are located in the area. This was the 5th of 11 finds, and 2 DNF's, for the day.
After finding "Sleepy Hollow" we continued walking along the bush track until we arrived at this one. Quickly located the nice big solid caching container, signed & stamped the log book, photographed the clue, and then replaced the container as found. It's nice to log an oldie in such good condition. 40m of bush bashing from trail. Not sure we took the suggested route. Found it tucked up nice and dry.
A nice sunny day provided the perfect opportunity for some geocaching with morty8888 at Turramurra, an area we well know as we lived here for about 25 years in a past life. After a down hill walk in, with some parts quite slippery after the recent rains, we reached the vicinity of GZ. Morty8888 scrambled around the big boulders while I awaited the cache on high. After a few minutes he had CIH and we SL and noted the details inside the lid before treating back up the hill.TFTC hydroflare.
Followed the trail from Sleepy Hollow and soon arrived at a great GZ location.
Plenty of hidey holes but the co-ords worked well for us and we soon had the CIH.
Photographed the clue for the final and enjoyed reading the early logs, some over 10 years old.
Cache is in great condition.

Find # 1061. Found at 2:08pm.
Well after an early start to the day finding a D4.5/T4.5 over at Warragamba, I had some spare time before footy training at 5pm so I decided to go and tick off a cache which I need for my D/T grid in 'Cygnet 2'. On the way down to the cache I came across 'Sleepy Hollow'.
From Sleepy Hollow I made my way towards the path which directed me to Cygnet 2. It was a leisurely stroll among the bushland and I soon found myself at GZ which appeared to be a likely hiding area. After mountain-goating for five or so minutes I managed to hone in on the right cavity and had cache in hand(s) soon after.
Glad to have got this one ticked off, particularly as it's another grid filler for my Jasmer challenge. Really enjoyed the walk on a warm but breezy afternoon.
Signed log, thanks for the cache hydroflare

Found on Australia Day. The phone GPS had us circling for a while until we found the well concealed cache. We like cache containers like this one, as they keep the contents truly dry. TFTC.
After a short search with the phone GPS jumping around and looking at a couple of locations the hide was found in a nice spot. TFTC and maintaining the 10 year old hide in the NP. Great container as well and a hide deserving of the trek.
Lovely walk . Didn't know there were so many tracks in here. Easy find, my phone led me straight to it. TFTC
A Pymble scout exercise at night. Found it ok but kids running around on big boulders was at times a little stressful.
What a great walk. Muggle husband, master Q and I were nearby so a good opportunity to do some caching. Loved every minute of it:) We climbed too high at first looking for the cache and on the way down Muggle husband spotted the cache. I immediately recognised a Dutch lion on the cache. Clearly he wanted to go home with us:)

I'm currently doing the Great North Walk as a series of day walks, this being day 2 from North Ryde to Thornleigh, and seeing as the track led straight past I couldn't resist a bit of a clamber around the rocks. The cache was quickly spotted.
Many thanks for the hide. I took the Morla geocoin to move on in my travels.

I was on a nice Sunday walk in the Lane Cove NP, doing the leg Pennant Hills to Chatswood. Decided to break the trip with a few caches, too, to get them done while I'm here and have some variety amongst the walk.
This one was the third cache on that day. I had already decided at my previous stop to get this one, still 100 m before the cache on track to stop here - and then other thoughts invaded my mind and I walked past. But what a marvellous rock there was on the path-side: looked like a monster attempting to take a big bite out of something! Took photos and then continued my walk. Only to realise a minute later that I'm past the cache!
Backtracking, scaling where the GZ actually might be, attempt to get the straightest route in, and then finally returning back to my senses. What if there's an easier access, like that path over here???
Followed my smartiephone compass but it led me to strange places, some potentially good places, but eventually to wrong places anyway. After a while decided to check older logs and possible photos and they gave immediately enough clues to change tactics. Then it was down to systematic search through the potential options, and few minutes later I had the container in sights. Well, yes: in sights! But how on earth will I get it in my hands?
Gathered some assisting tools near me and stripped down to the bare essentials.
OK, this is family sport so suffice to say it was hat off, eyeglasses off, tucking the tummy in, and then squeeeeeeze. Slim as you can be without any extras was the name of the game and it worked.
All good here, though no sign of the two TB's that are listed in the inventory. Left a German turtle TB. This is a nicely executed hide, a FP for the fun of it. [^] TFTC, Hydroflare.

I enjoyed this one, a nice quiet walk in the bush and the GZ was an a pleasant place to sit. I found the cache fairly easily but had a little difficulty actually retrieving it. First time I've not been able to rely on my long arms. I really like the nice sturdy container too. Thanks
Continuing along my way this morning, I arrived at this spot. Upoj kept pointing at a location that seemed strangely 'out of the way' but I finally trusted it and sure enough, with the dial saying only a metre or so, I spotted the stash in its hidey hole and not long after, was signing the log at 08:25.
Another great spot.
TNLNSL photographed clue, and our Signal geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks hydroflare.
PS: There was no sign of the Northern Kenyan keyring or cedarfire's keep the wheels truning geocoin trackables in the cache and in the case of the latter one, it appears that hasn't been there for quite some time. As the owner of the cache that a trackable is listed as being in, the CO can mark it as missing by going to the trackable's listing and completing that action. Maybe it's time to do so for at least one of these.
