22:57 This Boot was made for walk'n and that's just what it's gone and done... This Boot has gone off walk'n, all the way to Gumboot Park...
As it is unclear when this structure is to be moved I have decided to archive this cache to clear the way for possible new caches. it was great while it lasted shame about the muggles
second visit south .... still no joy... I know where to look,, but there is nothing there.....
no muggles about and used the car as cover while i grovelled in the mud....
I have a feeling a new spot might be needed, this one is way to open and too many muggles about on a regular basis... what about somewhere with a view of the boot

Our second visit to 'the Boot' (didn't log it last time because it was already marked as missing). Unfortunately, we were STILL unable to find it, even with the clue.
It is most likely it has been muggled again, maybe this location is too public and well-known to the theives.

7th holiday cache. Found iconic Kiwiana Looked and even groveled for ages . Cache ever very cleverley hidden or has been muggled.
Didn't have the clue and didn't have the patience. Too many muggles also. Did poke and prod in various places but couldn't spot it and my travelling companion wasn't into spending any more time on this game! Next time maybe...
As we approached this site we were a bit surprised to see a lot of people lolling around. We then realised it was the court we were passing and the lollers were awaiting their time in court.
Closer to GZ there were more muggles and just as I had assesed the situation and was about to move in for the find a car stopped between me and the cache and disgorged a party one of who opened up a laptop and another had one of those wheels for measuring distance. They milled about for a while while the "boss' gave instructions.
Luckily the centre of there operations was a little further off but I suspect the tourist muggles just assumed my operations was part of their act so actually they provided cover for me.
I needed the clue though, to limit the time I was exposed to scrutiny.

Thanks for bringing us to this feature. I had been here before but do not recall seeeing it then.

If you are seeing a new log the old cache has been muggled probably by the same muggles who left offensive remarks in the old log. Thanks Bay Raider for getting this cache up and running again. all of you who find this please if you have time or when there are no muggles around quickly check the log for non geo cachers, if more offensive remarks are being left I will have to archive the cache or move it away from the structure. Hopefully there is now only room for name and date.
18:57 No 4 find on way to Rotorua from Wellington.
Quick Easy Find - without having 2 ask the local constabulary just down the road... LOL. And in the dark with no torch. Great icon - I never knew this was here - placed so train-trapped tourists can photograph? Who knows. If the boot fits?
Anyway, TFTC. TNLNSL.
Note: For those with recent DNF's, cache log is new so it has been replaced? All good.

Great spot, and an interesting structure! Certain we located the spot in the construction that cache was attached, but nothing there. Checked all likely spots it could have fallen too, without success also. Given this and the recent logs, pretty sure it has gone.
Someone must have wondered about us exploring this sculpture so thoroughly.... Down on my knees in a puddle, no less... regret to advise, no sign of cache as hint suggest. MIA? Quite disappointed as we stop by here often on our way south, and admire this icon next to the local sport throwing range. Maybe next time?
called in on the way south and had no luck too many muggles passing by to have a good look... re-read the clue and yes that is where I was looking...
Had another look on the way back north ... even got the torch and still had no luck.... I did find a stone in there though....
will try again next time passing....

This was a fun cache. Someone has spent a lot of time creating this sculpture. What a pity it is not out near the main road so more people could enjoy it. Many thanks.
Lovely wee spot - stopped here once before and took photos but never though anything would have been hidden inside!

14:34 Easy find! Cute spot and hide! Perfect day for it! Second for the day on way to Taupo. TFTC!
Had to wait for muggles to finish their KFC nearby. Didn't even know the boot was here!
Just a relog of this one because I logged it with our clubs account (MUAC) back then.

Gave this one the boot. Just found when a bus full of people stopped near by so had to wait to rehide.

Heck should of gone the day before then be FTF.
Still good spot to hide a cache.

Found GZ easily enough, took a little groping around to find the cache however. Cheers Gav [648/FTF]
