As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Had read the logs earlier but didn't see it had been taken offline.. Thought I would give it a go seeing I was in the area but alas no success here...
Still a lovely lookout and got some fantastic shots from up here.. If it wasn't for caching I would not have come up here..
Thanks The Sundowners for the cache.. I hope you get it up and running again as it is such a nice spot to come...

This cache seemed simple enough, with only a 1.5 star rating and pretty good hint it should have been in hand fairly quickly. I searched for a little while without finding anything. The tree that the 2 previous DNF posters talk about seemed to be the most likely spot, but as they had said it was in pieces. I would think that maybe a previous finder or the owner needs to check on this one. Didn't want to waste more time when it appeared the cache location had been blown over.
Second fail at finding this (6 months apart..), but with a third of the tree lying on the grass, I'm assuming it is not where it should be. Or my eyes are finally failing I'll try again next time I'm in Nowra...
Searched for a while with this one with Pete and Liz also.
Couldn't get it. A tree which seemed the logical place had fallen in the wind storms. We checked the tree and still nothing - if the cache was in the tree it will need to be checked.
Great view

Our first cache ever! Don't have a GPS or iphone yet so just trying local spots that we can find through use of maps and clues. I went on my way home from work - must have looked a sight with my girly handbag and ballet flat shoes!
Parked at the bottom of hill because I thought that was the right thing to do. Grabbed the camera and headed up. A jogger on the way down told me I could have driven further up and then added "you'll find it halfway up" with smile on his face must have been the GPS around my neck. Still took me a while as I thought the hint implied nearer the seats. All solved when I walked a bit further. Great views. Cheers
4021. [font=Book Antiqua][green]If I had run the PQ for this trip one day earlier then I would have missed the chance to right a wrong, or find a miss (see I'm divorced so that joke works ). However ifs and ands are not worth anything and it was in my PQ and I did find the cache as well as some spectacular views.

So glad that this one is back in action! I never knew there was a great lookout up here! =) The terrain surprised me though, it was very easy... perhaps a tad steep in one bit?
Thanks to Andy (Moo & Woo) who has replaced the cache and advised us that the area has been maintained we are now able to re-activate this cache. Good luck fellow cachers.
332. It was persisting down but that didn't seem to be a reason not to find it as there were limited spots available for a hide.

In company with Zalgariath and Spindoctors, I returned for a 2nd try at this. Still no luck and after 15 minutes or so tried the phone-a-friend technique. Hmmm, what we were told let us search a bit more but still came up blank. Certainly great views from this spot though.
No luck with this one. Spent 15 minutes searching the slope and even called upon a local for some advice. The area has been whipper-snipped and it may have disappeared - a bit like the centipedes that kept popping up under the rocks we lifted. BTW - Great view of Nowra from here.

Report: Drat. Second failed mission in a row... Sarge will have my arse for this! After using Rich's previous experience here we found access no problems. However after enjoying the great views and short walk at GZ the Caching gods deserted us. We found bugs and centipedes but even after a PAF no cache could we find. We called a retreat but not all was lost as we did claim a secondary objective in the GCA Trig nearby! Report Ends.

Which way to go, UP, Down, Sideways..........
Enough said.
The next finder will work it out as we spent a lot of time trying to workout a way to get to the cache.
In the end the easy approach proved to be the best.

Reperio at 1520. Took the quick detour out here to grab this one, but when we arrived there were already some muggles there enjoying the views. They soon left and we soon found the cache. This is certainly a fantastic view from here.

this was another stop on my run from Sydney to Huskisson. wasnt allowed to do as many caches as i would have liked but im happy with chosing a select few. Giving my legs the much needed stretch after the nice drive down TFTC i like the slope but im glad it wasnt wet
Spent a good 15 minutes without any luck. The area has very recently been mowed so would this make a difference? Couldn't even find any fossils. The view however was pretty good.

Found with the geoson and pa on a nice clear day. Pa suggested we send the geoson to the new retention facility that can be seen near south Nowra, but he was asuch a good boy we kept him.
All good at the GZ, although the lid is pure white now (all the black paint has come off).

Found this one on a caching road trip around the South Coast. Our navigator was playing up today and it took us a little while to find the road up to this cache. Not too sure what is going on with this cache as we, like the previous entry, found the cache lying out in the open away from the tree! Maybe some wild life doesn't like it in their tree. The cache was still in perfect condition so we signed the log. Not too keen to hang around for long with all the radar waves pulsing around. TFTC
Found item on ground easily visable from the path. I replaced item in tree fork under a piece of roof tile.
[Found item laying on the ground visable from the path. I thought the container had been dislogded during the bad weather the area has experienced recently. Relocated to better location close by. It now can't be seen from the path and won't be blown away.
See encryption for details.
Nice views of the area. Seats are available if you want to sit and look for a while.]

On a weekend hiking trip with my son, we decided to nab a few caches too. Easily found. TFTC
Had a beatiful ride trough the country around here and its a joy to see it all from above. Finding the cache was no problem and I geuss the terrain rating is meant for the last 10 meters.

A quick find and spectacular view. Lots of walkers from the Navy base to watch out for though.
Also, there's a pencil there now. TFTC!

We found it today, finally, must admit we didn’t have the GPS the first time and the night sky was upon us, we searched high and low in the dark without a torch, well too much high due to the hint which throw our lead hunter off the trail. Anyway with our trusty GPS and our lead hunter in tow off we went.
I would recommend if you are from Nowra follow the path all the way around and check out the memorial, I was pleasantly surprised. Chucky was very happy to pose for a pic on this one, well done Sundowners, No muggles seen us and the hide was returned safety, pencil is sharp for the next visitors.

Easy find and last but not least, number 7 for the day and what a day we've had caching. driven past this spot a few thousand times working at the base for 30 years!! Signed the log and off home for a well deserved cuppa!
Spectacular views!! Been here a few times, but never appreciated the views from this aspect before. TVMFTC!!
a nice place for a hide even after chasing the camoflage down hill. some very splendid views thanks for bringing us here

It took me 2 visits and help from a friend to find this location, as we, The Pirates of PATE are just starting out. To keep the kids excited I want the kids to find it. Well it took my son 30 seconds once we reached the location. Maybe Dad should leave it up to the children!! Thanks Mick all went well. The Pirates of PATE
Thanks Sundowners for giving me a cache close to work to get my first lunch time cache. I run up the hill a couple of times a week the, other runners thought it was out of character for me to stop and rest, so I just told them occasionally we all need to stop and enjoy the view.
A lovely view. A clever place.
The approach radar was in service and gave the hand held GPS something to think about as it kept jumping about.
The one from the car was not affected.

Found 14:25. Always amazed at the places caching will take you. Visited the air base and Nowra many times over the years and never realized that this lookout existed. Great view and cache location. Thanks.
Thanks so much to Lucy and Roo for getting this cache up and running, it is people like them that make geocaching so much fun.
Whilst looking at the caches near home that I hadn't done yet, I stumbled upon Lucy and Roo's note, stating that they had revived this one a few days ago. Quick detour after work, and I'm one step closer to ticking off the 20 closest to home. Nice easy find with a view. Thanks Sundowners and thanks Lucy and Roo for the replacement.

It's Back and ready to go! Took a little while to find a suitable container, the original was of a type which is now hard to come by in the digital age, so we had to improvise and do a little painting. Please be careful to replace properly.
I will attempt to resurrect this one for the Sundowners in the next few weeks - just have to find a suitable replacement cache container - they are rare in this day and age!
No luck for me either on the drive north towards Sydney. Had a look, no luck. Came back and looked at the logs and hint. Went back and still no joy. Windy up here today though!
Went back here on the weekend just gone to have another look but still nothing but we did find a little pencil on the ground. Will add photo to see if it was the one that belonged to the cache.
Sadly this is our first no show we searched that whole area and we could find nothing. Maybe the clouds were throwing us off but we believe we were in the right location going by the clues. But anyway we got some good photos from here, will post them up soon. And try another day.
P.S The only fossils we saw was us cause it seemed we were there forever.

WOW what a view, massive thunderstorm nearby added to the views. Went along with gribbly and both our families. Great spot.
And so this is it my 300th cache a great view at gz and a most fascinating feature at the top of the hill thanks for the hide
A nice little hide in an interesting area. Not far from a place I visit often. TNLNSL
In Nowra for a couple of days at the area that uses the "Big Dish". Popped out here after day 1 and took a few minutes to get the cache description right, but then found the cache quickly.
Great little hide and must remember to read things as they are, and no go off blindly.

Found by GeoJim and Gigglygecko of the Clan whilst on their honeymoon. Nice easy find and great lookout. Managed to squeeze one of our pathtags into the container, and signed log. TFTC
No problems with this one! Looked at the terrain rating, and then read a couple of the logs to see if it was as bad as it sounded. Decided we had the time for this one and wandered over. No problemo! A quick walk along the path, and four seconds of off-path action. *phew* Loved the spinning radar dish!! And a great view from GZ. This weekend seems to be full of fossils though, we're finding them everywhere.
Great views , also being enjoyed by a pair of kestrels sitting on the fence posts as I arrived at GZ. TNLNSL thanks.
Despite the day being warm in town the hill offered a cool sea breeze to make the find pleasant. Great view with an easy find, thanks to my sharp eyed wife.
Found this one quickly on our way to Sussex Inlet on the weekend a nice place here that I have been past hundreds of times but never new it was here Thanks for bringing us here.

A very quick find, drove straight past with restricted area "sign" before noticing it was there. secruity seems to be pretty low though, must have counted 4 or more cameras fallen off there mounts. good views! it was awesome watching the sun hitting the rain falling on the distant moutains. TNLNSL
Lovely views and a great spot for a cache. The cache was an easy find and a new plastic bag was left as the old one had had it. TFTC.
AHAW me head, why did I drink so much
Every part of me is sore to touch
A five am rainy start also wasn’t flash
What we do to find a little cache
But to we geo-nuts, we persevere
To balance a tear, for fear, from there to here
IT’S ALL GOOD do you hear
And not to mention the view from the top
Not a bad little rest stop
Was half expecting to have some beefy security guard ask us to move on but we were the only ones there. Found easily and noted condition of container and log. Luckily we happened to have a spare container and paper in the car so we placed these next to the original.
Off to the aviation museum to be greeted by a little A4 note on the door telling us it was closed for renovations!!! Not happy Jan!
