Due to extensive bush fire damage at GZ the area can no longer be accessed.

Consequently It needs to be archived, but I have replaced it with a new type Cache,
Perplexed Platform. GC2J2W8, with a GZ some distance from the old and in a safe
area.

Found the first part OK. But then onto GZ and the whole area has recently been burnt out! I found GZ ok and spotted two tiger snakes within meters of my feet! But no sign of the cache Sad Couldn't even find a melted geocache, but it looks like it may have been cleared a little after the fire!??!

Please check.

The 1st waypoint was well hidden with spiders webs and took a while to spot. Final cache was found after a quick search (the bag gave it away). L: race car tb, TN. TFTH.

Nice quick multi just off the dual purpose pathway, coords a little off as
previously discussed but that just makes it a little more challenging,,,!

Cheers for the Cache,

TNLN.

Did the first waypoint and to our anger a group of muggles were picnicing directly at GZ.

We returned after doing Across the lake and did a quick grab.

Found the new coordinates but couldn't find cache. Saw it several years ago but forget details!

13-Mar-10
Found WP1 - No problems. Used updated details to locate GZ. Found what appears to be the cache location - using the coded hints - but nothing there. Evidence of muggles in the immediate vicinity, litter etc. Either we were a bit off track or it's ben muggled. Have we missed it, or is it gone?

01-Mar-10
finally found it after a bit of a hunt...TFTC

21-Feb-10
Finally found it after reading a number of old logs. Cache description probably needs some updating, but you will find all the clues in the old logs. Most notable changes are that WP1 is now a magnetic key holder and not a small round container, hint is no longer accurate as mentioned by others and the final waypoint accuracy can be improved by using Bear_Left's suggestion of adding .001 to the South coordinate and subtracting .005 from the East for a closer GZ.

31-Oct-09
My 3rd DNF in a row. Found WP1 ok, but GZ was a different story. Had to leave after 10 minutes as I'm on a timed schedule.

Thanks anyway Team Layabout............back the cave looks very interesting.

16-Aug-09
Sheltered under lookout while waiting for the downpour to stop and muggles above to clear off, then found WP1 without much trouble. Now a magnetic keyholder, not a small round container. Hint no longer accurate either. GPS finally settled close by GZ so eventually found. Interesting area - but not too inviting on a wet afternoon. Thanks for the hunt, Team Layabout.

01-Aug-09
First waypoint is now in a magnetic key case - not a round container. Found the second one some distance from GZ. Check out the Cave while your there - but don't go in too far as it looks a little suspect! = Seems to be a number of small caves in the are.

19-Jul-09
Tried to find it today, no luck, then rain stopped play.
Will try again soon.

12-Jul-09
Couldn't find the first part today. Lots of muggles around, so let it go for the day and we will return!!

25-Jun-09
Went with MysteryLadyXX again today to see if we could find anything and guess what we did---Yahoo.Team effort I must say she found the first and I found the second.Took a few snaps for the album as there were no finders cards.

TNLN Nice walk in the rain will have to go back and walk around the rest of the place.

25-Jun-09

Co-ords were a fair way out, the hint helped a lot.

09-Jul-08
Found with bariloche. Asked by a couple were we geocaching by any chance! Was standing right next to the cache when GPS was reading 8 metres.

09-Jul-08
Found with fossilia. The first container is no longer round - it is rectangular. Both our GPS showed it in a slightly different position (as with the cache itself). Without the hint I'd have been looking in the wrong place for the cache. We were also pretty stupid because we concentrated so intently on our GPS that we missed a sign we should have seen which would have made it a lot easier.

Enjoyable cache. TFTC. TNLN

01-Jul-08
The lid had come off the initial keyholder and was lying on the ground, making it a bit easier to find! Unfortunately, that meant the alternative coords were gone...

I'd suggest adding .001 to the South coord and subtracting .005 from the East for a closer GZ.

Found with the aid of the hint, about 14m from my GPSr's GZ.

An interesting feature near GZ, that I looked at from the outside, and bravo to the local council for putting a warning sign there instead of ineffective bars.

We came, we saw, we didnt find it! Hmmm... I will go back sometime with a torch to explore that cave too!

11-Jun-08
[Australian Branch] Love doing multi's! Struggled to find the first waypoint initially until i changed the batteries in the GPS and lead straight to it. Some one has placed alternative co-ords for the final cache in the waypoint and we found these the more accurate. Took keyring, left 2 penny piece. TFTH.

18-May-08
I found it on my second visit thanks to Calebrecker’s suggestion, which helped with the actual cache find but not the card at the first waypoint location. The notes refer to a small white round container at the first waypoint, which is what I was looking for. It is actually a small black rectangular container, which I did notice on my first visit but ignored it at is as it was the wrong colour.

The next finder may have to find it by feel as I think I put it out of visual sight as a muggle approached as I was putting it back and had to do so in a hurry. TN LN SL TFTH.

15-May-08
Gerryl, i think for the crypted hint...think of a mirror!!!

04-May-08
I looked under logs, rocks and the overhang but couldn't find the first part of this hunt. I also coudn't encryrpt the hint. I'l put a watch on this one to see how others go.

easy find, TNLN TFTH

01-Dec-07
We had some excitement at WP1, when a muggle turned up while we were trying to be surreptitious about searching. Then we had a little difficulty at GZ as the coords seemed a little out. The clue helped as did some previous logs, but there were a few too many encounters with spiders for the search to be entirely enjoyable. I have placed an alternative set of coordinates at WP1 ... but cannot guarantee that they will be any better. Smile We took nothing, and left nothing, but enjoyed the views at the lookout, and were intrigued by some of the things at GZ. Thanks for the cache.

the waypoint was easy to find but the cache proved more of a problem however after having stumbled across some dead turtles I soon found it, I also found on my leg the biggest tick I have ever seen

21-Oct-07
Took a while to get this one. Looked everywhere, but to no avail. Finally read the hint and the last log entry by The Hallows, then found it straight away. It was very well hidden and as The Hallows said, some metres away from GZ. Thanks for a good hide.

09-Oct-07
This is a good cache hunt. Had been to the lookout previously but without having checked the info from the web was searching for a cache. Needless to say I didn't find one! This time I found the keyholder without any hassles. The cache however was a different story. The area is well overgrown and trying to find any sort of log was a task in itself! The clues were a great help. Also - I located the cache about 11m west from where the GPS told me the GZ was which made things even more interesting. Eventually discovered cache. Even took ome pics of a couple of the local wildlife inhabitants who weren't too happy about our presence. T4TH
ARRIVED : Red Nose Badge
DEPARTED : Snake thingy which was a bit big or the cache anyway.

10-Sep-07
We were unable to locate the cache as the entire area is heavily overgrown and even the rocks are difficult to find.

21-Aug-07
Found with *Monkey as darkness falling fast and mozzies having a feast. Clue about limestone rocks threw us off track at first but encrypted clue helped. Took GC GC and compact towel, left keyring watch and spinning top. GC will be invading France next week and should be in place at Juno Beach within 10 days - ie. assuming I locate the cache Big Grin

24-May-07
We weren't able to get anywhere near WP1 due to a "major drama" being played out on the lookout. We waited ages but the muggles had no intentions on leaving anytime soon. As we know the area well we were able to find WP2 without any troubles on the strength of the clues alone. We intended to drop off a GC but forgot so we dropped it into a cache just up the track. Thanks for the hunt. TNLN TFTH

25-Apr-07
had some fun with the find on this one. [must of been the trees as we didnt find it on the right spot but found it over 6mtrs away. must go back to the cave one day. Somebody was looking before us and made a mess of the place near the co-ords we had but didn't look in the right place as the cache was untouched.] still there.

27-Mar-07
Went back with the kids to show them and my 9 year old found it after a bit of prompting.
.
T- Breast aware dog tags and red lanyard.
.
L- Sheet of smily face glitter stickers and expandable camping towel.
.
Replaced plastic bag around the cache which had become a bit ragged and tucked it back away.
.
Explored the caves a bit further with a torch which the kids loved.

26-Mar-07
Excellent idea with magnetic key holder stashed away added to the challenge. Found it nice and easy and then used waypoint to find cache. Was just on dark so the torch came in handy and dark skies and huge storm threatening made it even more of an adventure. Had a bit of a look in the caves around the cache which might warrant further exploration in the daylight.
TNLNSL
Also took trash out of the cave that some grubs had left behind.
Thanks for the challenge Smile

24-Mar-07
No problem finding both spots, cache was a little bit damp inside. TNLN, T4TH Smile

We wandered down to the initial location and had a quick fing of the micro. Off to the cache which was found after a short search. The cache was slightly damp.

After scrambling around the wrong tree, my gps shifted and I found the actual cache in a snap. TNLNSL - Thanks! Big Grin

We did take some photos of Cara's Pelican at the nearby lookout. The cache was a little too full to leave her in though.

Dont know if the owner will let me have this as a find as I am now more than 9000 miles away and will not be returning
for some time. Did not read correctly and thought that the magnetic key holder was the cache, left a small piece of paper with my name on to verify that I was there in the holder please confirm if you wish thanks for making my hols a little bit more special the claret one/the dragon lady

25-Aug-06
Back on line and 1st waypoint is still the same but Cache Location has changed.
I have refilled cache with goodies and new log book it is a bit harder to find but that should keep the idiots away from it.

There are a few caves in the are but I wouldn't advise going in as it looks like there has been a cavein at some stage.

Happy Hunting

I have found another site for casche so will get back on line asap

Last of 22 finds on my first afternoon/evening of my Perth business trip. This was an interesting cache hunt! I wondered whether to tackle this one or go home. As it was only 200m or so from "Neil's Front Yard", I thought I might as well have a crack at it. I found the micro cache after a short search, and headed off to GZ. When I got there I saw a white cylindrical container lying on the ground, and I thought it looked like a suitable cache container. I picked it up and saw that it had a geocaching sticker on it (I designed that sticker [^]). It was the cache! I opened it up, but there was only a stash note and a pencil inside. It had been muggled! Sad I found it at 2255. I didn't have a business card with me, and didn't even have a slip of paper on me, so I left a plastic emu in the cache to prove that I had been there.

The next problem was what to do with the cache. The cache description gives basic instructions about how the cache is hidden, so I did my best to replace it in a like fashion. It's now hidden under a large rock, with two smaller, flat rocks covering it. I placed a green-moss-covered rock on top of the larger rock so that the cache owner will have no trouble identifying the cache location. Time to go home to bed. Thanks to Team Layabout for the cache (and the adventure).

IN: Emu
OUT: Nothing

This 2 part cache was great fun.

Found this one today, took longer than I would have thought to find the key case but after that all was ok, walking downhill to the container I could see the hiding spot easily.
Thanks for the walk in a nice area.
years ago there where other caches near here.

Fun cache to do in a nice area. Left torch took stretchy monkey. Thanks for the hunt.

Lovely walk in the autumn sun. Found clue and cache quite quickly. Had fun dodging the many muggles. TNLNSL Smile
Thanks Team Layabout for a pleasant 20 minutes.

Posted co-ords seemed a little off and I was a bit wary of the wasps nests around there but I eventually found the keyholder. The cache was easy to locate, I don't even know if the co-ords were accurate or not as I found it moments after arriving so didn't check the GPSr after settling. TFTH.

27-Dec-05
Found the first part quite easily but beware of the sticky spider webs! On to the second stage, GZ was about 8m out but we managed to locate it.
TOOK: Magnetic Thermometer
LEFT: Race car and Green dinosaur
Thanks Team Layabout.
Cheers,

27-Dec-05
Little bit of searching to find WP1. A couple of wasp nests around the lookout so ...lookout.

Found the cache ok with minimal searching then walked past a tiger snake up the track. Made us tread heavily for the rest of the walk.

Thanks for the cache

26-Dec-05
Well guys I had a look around under the front of the lookout, but no key holder. With what I saw under there,Too many creepy crawlies, there is no way I'm sticking my body under that lookout. I'm afaid I'll call this one a big miss.

Found this today without too much looking and dropped in TB Bugsbee.

Thanks for the cache.

I called in and checked key case, it is still there Ok

Found cache at 2300hrs. I know late night caching again! (But hey would TRD do it any other way?) Found without the aid of the key case, as I (Scott) searched everywhere and could not locate it....so I tried the luck scenario and it paid off!! Nice hiding spot almost missed it!
