Have searched many times for this one... But to no avail.

24-Sep-12
Didn't find it

No geocache found. Could it have washed down the gully perhaps?

04-May-12
Think this one has disappeared!

27-Apr-12
a string of DNF's on this one

26-Apr-12
DNF despite an extended search, given recent logs a check by the owner seems in order. A great location amongst all the chaotic and claustrophobic urban planning (or lack there-of).

22-Apr-12
Searched for quite a while for this but no find. We did have a run in with a rat and a number of huge spiders kept us entertained!

13-Apr-12
No, I did not find it either. I saw the brick too. But I got there already at night and all I had was the brightness of my GPS set to maximum. I did hike a little off the path, searched under it, nothing hollow either.

Visiting from Portugal.

23-Mar-12
Found a brick perching in the place where I expected to find it. Cool location, shame that the council had let all the blue morning glory go wild an suffocate all the trees.

11-Feb-12
Nice spot but not good for bicycles! Leave bikes at the road. Didn't find despite help from recent logs. Ran out of time Sad

01-Feb-12
I went looking for this the other day and despite the exquisite location, was disappointed to leave unrewarded. I am pretty sure I found GZ but there was no sign of a cache... strangely though, a brick rested in the very spot I expected the cache to be. Has it been muggled, I wonder? It's been a while since a find has been logged. Thanks anyway for leading me to the reserve - I loved it!

31-Dec-11
Lovely spot in the city. Took travel bug.

31-Dec-11
Both sides f the family, Spaniards and Australians worked together to find it. Mom and little buchukids fought over who discovered it first!!! Nice reserve, by the way. I used to live in the area and had no idea it was there!!! Cheers!

24-Dec-11
Great to find such a hidden vale in the city. Thanks FTC.

visited today with the family to test the new Christmas Geomate Jr. GPSs. JackAthol and UncleGrog as well as the dolphinegang with Pebbles and Dino. Dropped Trackable Gonzo who want to go overseas back to England.

Parked at the beach and took a walk inland. Would never have known this little bit of bushland existed much less the cool walkway. Got to GZ and had a think before we took any extracurricular action and sure enough the hesitation paid off! TNLN SL TFTC Cheers.......Gaztek

Thanks... I went over handrail, but didn't find anything, then.. J-LEST-TEAM

20-Nov-11
I walked off into the bushes and my son nearly tripped over it.

09-Nov-11
Tried this cache yesterday and again today, but to no avail. There is a lot of disturbed vegetation in the vicinity of GZ (most likely by the council) so I'm not sure if it's position has been compromised. Awesome quiet escape right in the middle of suburbia, but I'd think twice about taking children to this GC my GPS led me right to a spot just off the trail where it appears regular drug users frequent (bongs and needles littered around the area approx 8-9 metres off the board walk). Suggest the custodian of this cache checks it out to make sure it's still in position please. TFTC!

02-Nov-11
Thought I'd logged this as a DNF a few months ago, but it seems not. Anyway, having scoured the previous logs for hints I revisited GZ today and made the find easily enough. Did not have to leave the walkway this time to make the find. Lovely little reserve. Thanks for bringing me here!

Pretty quick find in a lovely location Smile

Just moved to Randwick, found this cache in a lovely little reserve. Strayed from the path too far and got my shoes all muddy unnecessarily. Think the travelbug's in trouble. Tftc

20-Sep-11
Another good cache found on my holiday in Sydney. Good walk and took a while to find the hide. SL -TB TFTC

10-Sep-11
Great hide, nice walkway. We had to do a bit of searching to find this one as it was not at where our gps was telling us gz was. Looked for signs of human activity and spotted the cache.tftc

07-Sep-11
Gps had me well off the track, plus I thought the name was a clue. I had a great time poking around in the weeds. After reading the logs I think I will ignore the gps next time.

Fantastic cache location!! The places where geocaching takes you... Simple find!!! TFTC TNLN

Found this in not too long with studyguru after a fly-by survey of the area the day before. Studyguru will look after the TB we left here but in you don't want spoilers, don't look too far down the recent logs. TFTC

Good spot for the cache. Lovely quiet location in the middle of the eastern suburbs.

18-Aug-11
After an asian stir-fry lunch in Randwick today, I decided to go for a bit of a walk afterwards, to burn off my excess 'fuel'! A remaining unfound cache in the area was the logical destination.

I headed down Alison Road to the trail entrance, and proceeded along a very pleasant, quiet bush track in the middle of suburbia (I didn't pass another person either in or out, over a duration of 20 minutes). Although there had been some recent rain, it was still easy to follow in business atire, and the iPhone held a decent signal right through until GZ.

After reading earlier logs, I was expecting challenges at GZ, but reading between the lines of RMS' log had me with cache in hand in next to no time (even possible in a suit!). A decent sized cache contained 2 TBs, but I had no swaps with me so I left them in situ. I signed the log and replaced.

TNLNSL Nice spot, scottybrowner!

Welcome to the jungle. Did not expect this wilderness in the Eastern Subs. Coords not that accurate, neverthelless found the cache and left a 'Wurst' language badge.

Reperio at 1630. This is a wonderful little trail, and really enjoyed the walk to GZ. Spent a while looking around GZ until I decided to get a different perspective on things. After a further search, was nearly thinking of giving up until I spotted the cache much further away than expected. Enjoyed the walk.

Gratias.

Nice unexpected oasis in the city. Had a look around, but didnt find it due to time limitations and fading light. Another time (maybe).

28-May-11
Was going to post a DNF on a previous trip. But after reading the logs, figured had to give it one more go. The 'ah ha!' moment was working out how to look. Good one ScottyBrowner! [^]
In: picture hanger. Out: pterydactyl
p.s. The track was cordoned off from public access as apparently the recent bad weather made the track too dangerous. But the tape was down on the Bligh Place end, so figured I had an alibi if sprung by a ranger.

I had to have two goes at this cache. At the first attempt the GPS had me all over the place including almost touching the cache but I had not found it when I got the call to pick up my wife and had to abandon the search. After picking up my wife and checking into our hotel (and reading some past logs) I returned just before dark with a more concentrated search area and soon had the cache in hand.

Thanks.

11-Feb-11
Nice place, but I wouldn't go here after dark! Found the container quite easy but my GPS was off by at least 10 m. TFTC!

Walked the long way to find this without a road map. It was relatively early in the morning but already sooooo hot. Nice easy find in a cool spot. TFTC.

02-Jan-11
Beautiful walk!! I hope it gets maintained often! Very clever spot it was hidden, u def do not need to climb off the walkway!! Using my iPhone gps, ground zero was exactly right! One of the few times the phone was spot on, so the cache owner need not worry! Tftc one of my favs!!

Quick cache-stop on the way back from a morning at Clovelly Beach with friends. Had to read through some previous logs to narrow down the location. As stated earlier, you don't have to leave the boardwalk!! Grabbed TB, TFTC!! ^_^

22-Dec-10
1345 hrs... we had a great tropical walk through this reserve... ran into a young man checking on the progress of the indigenous Gully Skink... we got to see a few of them too. The cache was found dead on the South Coordinate but a little off of the East one. It had some food in it so we removed the food and fed the birds on the way out. Took, frog, left 31 cents (American). SL thanks for the cache and the beautiful scenery.

22-Dec-10
TFTC wonderful walk in the woods in the 'burbs! first cache in OZ, woo hoo! Took Karen, Hobbieeboo, fiance Clinton and wi Caro along on string of five for a little jaunt to burn off the Palace's affects last night. T: Paralympics Pin, L: AEL Pin and American Joke card. SL sea ya!

Cache Status: Good Condition

Report: Last time I attempted this the GPS had me off in the bush up the bank a bit. This time it had me 10m or more not far enough along the path, but from the correct vantage you indeed can see the cache and there is no need to get off the boardwalk. A nice piece of urban bushland and a lovely quick walk from the ute to GZ this afternoon. After reading the logs to see what I did wrong last time, it didnt take too long today. Cheers!

Thanks for hidding! Found it very quickly.

16-Nov-10
I spent way too long looking for this one. I even tried the alternate co-ords but couldn't find it and didn,t (shouldn't) leave the path. I think this one needs a clue. Nice walk and experience nonetheless. Thanks scottybrowner!

21-Oct-10
An early morning diversion from my trip to work brought me to this park and there is a cache nearby. A brisk walk up many steps and soon I was at GZ. Not many places it could be and a quick search revealed the cache. Thanks Scottybrowner for bringing me to a most interesting park. Left some Olympic pins. TFCT

20-Oct-10
2nd find in a day woohoo

25-Sep-10
2nd attempt - this time I did not really have to leave the path, and could see the cache while on the timber path - though I did have to be looking from the right level and the correct point on the pathway.
My GPSr still pointed me several metres into the bush while standing at GZ, so I took a reading to maybe assist others.
My GZ reading was
S 33° 54.679 E 151° 14.875 .
Thanks for bring me here (a couple of times) - at least now I have come in from both directions - Alison Rd was a little further, but much easier to park. Well worth the visit.

17-Jun-10
Found this cache in a lovely gully in the middle of the city with so much traffic. It was so peaceful by torchlight at 7pm. Took nil left 5th Element Earth cache TB.

14-Jun-10
Yay found it.

Went down on this cold winter's evening at 11pm with a torch, wasted 20 minutes bushbashing, annoying critters, and generally trying to be too clever (I thought the name of the cache was a clue - it isn't). Sat down for a while, read the other logs, kept it simple and found it within 10 seconds after that.
Was walking back to my car and wondered why I now had two pens - realised I had taken the cache's pen, returned it, and found my beanie which had fallen out of my pocket while I was logging - hooray! My third cache today and also third ever (at least, as the primary finder)

Yay! 2nd attempt at this one armed with more info (gps will only get you within 15m in this gully and no need to go bush bashing) and plenty of aeroguard! Lovely reserve, feels like you could be deep in the rainforest. TFTC TNLN

My second attempt at this one and decide not to follow the GPS so thoroughly.
Stayed on the boardwalk and found in minutes. A little further north than the GPS.
Still agree that this is a great little park.

08-Jan-10
visiting from NZ & hired bikes from Centennial Parklands. What a pleasant relief after the glare & traffic to be in this pleasant shady green park. We hadn't been given locks for the bikes though so when we got to the platform Mrs stayed with the bikes while Mr went & did "the deed". Loved the kookaburra & the big black butterflies with white spots that never stay still. NINO TFTC

05-Jan-10
My gizmo had me about 20 feet off the path so it took a lot longer to find than it should have. I was about to leave and log a DNF when I finally checked the right spot. I should have read one of the logs that said you do not have to leave the path. TFTC

02-Jan-10
Found after I tried last year as a new cacher. Searched in wrong area for awhile then decided to be systematic about it. Def. a case of keep it simple stupid. Saw a kookaburra and Rainbow lorikeets. glad to put this one to bed. TNLN. TFTC. SAC.

Found on second attempt. You really do not need to leave the path.

14-Dec-09
Argh! The cache that ended my run of 14 days in a row with a find Sad I really enjoyed the walk along the gully and boardwalk to the GZ but did not enjoy the hunt. There is trash, undergrowth and debris everywhere and my GPSr insisted the cache was in the middle of a pile of garbage and cuttings wrapped in a black plastic pen made by the council. However reception wasnt great and after a good hunt to 10m or more around the GZ I was still empty handed Sad Grumble. Didnt have time to attempt any others today so it's back to square one.

06-Dec-09
Great hide in a great location. No muggles around at 8:30am on a Sunday - I imagine they would have made this find difficult! TFTC Cheers!

16-Nov-09
It is always a pleasure to find areas like this in the middle of suburbia.
The cache was completely saturated, so I replaced the cache container with a more waterproof one, and I also replaced the log book in a new baggie. I had to remove some of the waterlogged contents though, including the original log book, please contact me if you need any of it back.
Thanks for the chance to stroll down this wonderful pathway.
By the way I found the best way in was via Bligh Pl.

12-Nov-09
First of 5 finds for the morning. Had to dodge people cleaning up. Was not expecting to have to leave the boardwalk. The cache is very wet inside and the logbook is completely full. Needs some maintenance.

24-Oct-09
Guroo and I tried long and hard to find the cache without success. We did much log turning and discovered lots of slugs, termites and other bugs but alas no cache. I have been past this park many times over the years without venturing inside. Thanks for giving me the excuse to visit this urban jungle. The GPS here is very unreliable with many and varied readings even when you are standing still! Also beware lots of muggles about! We will try again another time.

13-Oct-09
Great cache a smart place to hide it I thought there was going to be no pages left but luckily I found one and it was also very wet put in a fridge magnet, great cache.

Found after a bit of grovelling on (and under) wet wood.

Cache is also wet throughtout, including logbook, which is now very full -we signed on the inside of the back cover. A good dry-out and new log are needed.
