Cache was found after a short search. Thanks for the fun. Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumulated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Sol's day the twentieth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. This was a good multi with some good views of the city, at GZ the cache took a bit to find as it wasn't where we expected it to be, the cache was found though and is all goodTravelling around Victoria with Freddo for a week finding caches as we go. With two challenges on our radar we were in full force. All logs signed with our names or F+g98 for the smaller caches. Thanks for the cache

Drove to fourth location but otherwise a fantastic walk with awesome views. TFTC!

I'd had to log a DNF on this cache in December 2016 when I attempted the multi with Julesc21. Was back here today with __Cat__ and we had another go at it. I had cleverly kept the piece of paper where we had scribbled down all our numbers, and assumed that our failure back then was in the searching at GZ, not in the counting. So we didn't redo the waypoints, I just checked the arithmetic and we set off for GZ. Alas, after a decent search we could not find the cache so I sent off a message to the CO asking to confirm the coordinates, thinking that perhaps we had miscounted something all those years ago. Well wouldn't you know it, shortly after sending off the message, I spotted the cache in a place just outside our search area. Great to be able to knock that sad face off the map! TFTC!

Back home in Australia, back in my old home of Bundoora. I briefly went to school nearby but I rarely came to Bundoora Park. I think Ive been many more times since I left. I was not aware of the kangaroo and emu enclose and Im not even sure why its there. Whats the purpose? Im against animals for entertainment but then they didnt seem to be entertaining anyone. Im perplexed. Anyway..back to the cache. I didnt go to the stations in order bc I knew the general area of where each point was so I walked them in a more linear fashion which saved a large back track. Found all the information but I would have liked a check sum to know I was heading to the right spot, especially after the previous DNF log. Luckily, my numbers ended up being all fine and it was a quick find of the cache at GZ. Dropped off a Trackable. Thanks!

30-Dec-23
A DNF on this one at the final location today.Pretty happy with my coordinates and found a location that was bang on where I would expect to find a cache, alas, no luck

27-Nov-23
Met a friendly muggle & his dog while looking for GZ. Thanks to CO for some help with the waypoint, we mucked up 2 of the answers and were a few metres off GZ

15-Nov-23
Found with icw. We did the first stage of this multi a few weeks ago, but abandoned it when we realised how much time was needed. I had never seen the impressive homestead before and concluded that Mr Cooper must have been a wealthy man. We are lucky that his house remains today. During our perambulations we met many Magpies and Wood ducks. GZ eluded us at first. We checked our workings, which were correct. On checking one of the WPs we discovered a wrong number and when that was corrected found the cache exactly where the co-ords pointed. Tftc.

15-Nov-23
A misscount of one number threw us out, recalculated and then there it was. very accurate gps did it again. TFTC

21-Aug-23
Thank you for the adventure! Although my maths was faulty at times and I struggled to find the actual cache at the end; I am very proud to say I did it!!! Thank you for bringing me to such a lovely spot!

17-Aug-23
In Bundoora park today to complete a few caches for the wheel of challenges month. Such a lovely park and lots to explore. A great view over the Northern suburbs up the top. TFTC

08-Aug-23
Had uni nearby, On stage 3, sun is setting and I live a lil far, will be back

25-Jul-23
Cachemas in July is in full swing and I joined the festivities today to catch up with like-minded
elves at a Twelve-Days-of-Cachemas event here at Bundoora Park. It's a location I have never been to, so after the event I set off with nirgalagrin for a loop around the park.
The park was rather busy with some school cross-country event taking place across the grounds.

These older caches always attract my attention and somehow I've managed to find quite a few of Melbourne's GC6 caches this month. During the 4km walk I gathered some clues for this one and it also helped to be with a previous finder. We finished the walk with a quick find at this GZ, then went higher up to enjoy Horatio's View with the hoons who were sitting in their car with music blaring. It's an irritation that at least Horatio Cooper and Samuel Gardiner didn't have to put up with at the time.
"Ah, the serenity..." was not to be today. But at least the day's caching did end with a smilie here.
Thanks for the multi, Alsume.

**Chronicles of a Souvenir Chaser**
July 2023 Streak souvenir chasing status : Day 23 of 28.

I'm currently chasing a souvenir - attempting a 28-day caching streak during July for the Wheel-of-Challenges souvenir campaign.

Easy (2 days) - Completed.
Medium (7 days) - Completed.
Hard (28 days) - In progress.

Day 1 of 28 - Drove to a local cache. Just a drive-by but a playground is always challenging!
Day 2 of 28 - Drove to an industrial area and then walked to a section of the FT for one cache.
Day 3 of 28 - Drove to the KCT and cycled 6km to a cache.
Day 4 of 28 - Cycled 25km from home, around KCT detours, to the FT, and then found 2 caches in the northern part of the KCT.
Day 5 of 28 - Drove to Geelong, completed an adlab plus bonus.
Day 6 of 28 - Found a cache near the morning's Brimbank parkrun.
Day 7 of 28 - Drove to the KCT and cycled 9km. A DNF followed by a find.
Day 8 of 28 - Cycled 5km to and along the Seaholme foreshore. Feet wet for a cache.
Day 9 of 28 - Drove to the FT and cycled 12km to the westernmost section of the FT geotrail for 2 caches.
Day 10 of 28 - Cycled from home and did a 34km loop including the FT from Williams Landing to Millers Rd, finding 2 caches out west.
Day 11 of 28 - Cycled from home and did a 10km loop for a cache at Truganina Park. A DNF followed by a find.
Day 12 of 28 - Rest from cycling. A quick drive-by in a Williams Landing park, with the challenge provided by the nearby playground environment.
Day 13 of 28 - Found 2 caches and 2 lab WPs near the morning's Sunbury parkrun.
Day 14 of 28 - Signed a challenge cache in Lysterfield (not good enough for this streak), then found a quick drive-by cache at Westona in the evening.
Day 15 of 28 - Cycled 21km along the Foreshore Trail to Williamstown. A DNF followed by a GC6 find.
Day 16 of 28 - Drove to Williamstown for the daily cache. A DNF followed by a multi find.
Day 17 of 28 - After a DNF on a FTF attempt in Footscray I found a cache at Truganina Park. This was a busier caching day than usual which included a second DNF, a missed TDOC FTF, and attending one of the TDOC Cachemas events in Williamstown.
Day 18 of 28 - Low on mojo on a cold rainy day, so settled for a quick local drive-by at Seaholme.
Day 19 of 28 - Biggest caching day so far - a 31km cycle picking up 7 caches along the KCT.
Day 20 of 28 - Found 2 caches near the morning's Toolern Creek parkrun in Melton.
Day 21 of 28 - 2 FTFs on TDOC caches near home, plus 6 caches in the south-east.
Day 22 of 28 - Found a cache at Altona Meadows while on a 11km cycle to Williams Landing.
Day 23 of 28 - Attended an event and found a few caches on a 4km walk looping around Bundoora Park.

Great views and an enjoyable walk around the homestead and surrounds!

Out with my geokid and geofolks. A nice multi with some interesting points. Even better that GZ worked out. Fav for bringing me to this new area.

Thanks to Alsume for the fun and the adventure.

21-May-23
Nice exacting final stage in a nice part of the world. It rocks you at times: David

03-Mar-23
It was a nice night so headed out after work to fill a calendar day today with a multi for one of the Whittlesea challenges I am working on.
This one I worked out most of during lockdown online so today I only had the final waypoint and a confusing calculation to do.
I made sure I concentrated and then had a pretty good looking spot and there I found the cache safe and sound.
Thanks Alsume for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

28-Jan-23
I have a bit of a habit of taking on "calendar challenges" and a couple I am doing require a Multi Smile on 28th January... and so here I was in Bundoora to go looking for this cache. I parked at the published coordinates and set off for a walk. Fortunately, although it was quite warm, it was also cloudy which made it all tolerable.

The information was all readily found... although at one point there was the usual conundrum with stairs... do you count the top step or not? Tested both results in the field and decided my first choice was right. The cache was found without any difficulty.

Thanks **Alsume** for putting this Multi together...and for keeping it going for so long.

22-Jan-23
Great little multi which gave me a good leg-stretch. TFTC and placement.

15-Jan-23
The weather was just right for a comfortable stroll around Bundora Park.
Once the final coordinates were calculated, the cache was soon found.
Thanks for the cache Alsume

08-Jan-23
A wonderful trail and journey to follow on a lovely warm summer’s day. TFTC!

21-Nov-22
A pleasant walk around the park gathering the required information. The short showers and hail didn't deter me from my goal. Log signed and cache replaced.

Thanks for the Multi-cache Alsume Smile

14-Oct-22
My journey with this cache started 3 years ago where I figured out the first few stages but I ran out of time to complete this multi. Today I had the time to complete the remaining waypoints and to search for the final. With nice spot on coordinates the log was quickly signed. Thank you Alsume for placing and maintaining Horatio's View for us to find today.

Find # 1388.

29-Sep-22
A lovely day for a drive around Bundoora with n0w0rries.
All information was easily gathered (I left the calculations to Rod) Wink
Thanks for the cache Alsume.

29-Sep-22
We have enjoyed Horatio's View on many occasions and felt that it was about time we worked our way through this multi.
With +Wife doing the driving and me working out the waypoints, we finally arrived at GZ.
What a great cache in a very relaxing area.
Thank you Alsume.

A quick detour on the commute home from work...Well when I say quick I mean double to the distance...to work out this multi.
Picked it up as the sun was setting. Definitely a spectacular view from here.

18-Jul-22
A quick trip after work to finish off this multi I started some time ago. The nesting rosellas were screaming at me at gz, until I found the cache. Then they went quiet. It was like they were yelling "warmer, warmer, colder, warmer, hotter, HOTTER!!!"

Thanks for bringing me here today by placing this cache, Alsume

We had seent that there were a couple of really old multis in the Bundoora area. We came to Bundoora Park to have a look at this old multi first. It was a beautiful day for doing this multi. The weather was nice and the park wasn't too busy. We also got to pick up a trad and some ad labs while we were doing it.
Horatio's view was awesome, we loved it.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for so long Alsume. Container and log are in good condition.

2 July 2022 10:03 am

Out and about early today to go and collect some caches with Stemicmitsar before heading to an event and CITO up north, helping me get one step closer to qualifying for another challenge, as well as cleaning up some local parks again.

02-Jul-22
*Found on the 2 Jul 2022 @ 10:05 am.*
*Cache find # 13044.*

I headed out this morning with buhfuhguh.
We headed North to attend an event and CITO but along the way we stopped off at other cache to see what we could find.
We entered this park on another mission but while we were here we went in search of this cache as we had parked right at the start of it, there were a couple of times we messed it up but we got there in the end and was able to sign the log.

**Thanks to Alsume for placing this cache.**

Did not find had trouble

21-Apr-22
What a maths workout. And interesting series of locations. Happy to find with isaviv. TFTC

21-Apr-22
Isaviv. Found exactly where had calculated after many mathematical twists and turns.

21-Nov-21
I tried finding this some time ago resulting in some correspondence with the CO. I said that I'd be back one day given the age of the cache.
Today was that day and I have to say it really is a good spot for a cache. Melbourne is blessed to have retained large parklands in the northern suburbs.

07-Nov-21
Thank you.

07-Nov-21
This took 2 days due to the heavy rain yesterday but, we came and finished it off with ease today, TFTC

03-Nov-21
Completed all but the last waypoint on foot yesterday but was beaten by the sunset. Came back today in the car to finish it off. Thanks for the cache and the exercise.

25-Jul-21
With maths definitely not a strong point I found this one a tad difficult but after collecting the clues and asking for help from someone else I got there in the end and enjoyed the cache and some local history thanks for placing

21-Jun-21
Do this cache at sunset! Beautiful!

06-Jun-21
This was a great exploration with the kids during lockdown. This was the kids second Geocache and a great bit of fun close to home.

Thank you

18-Oct-20
Have completed many laps of bundoora park during lockdown. It became one of my local daily walks as i set myself a lockdown challenge of exceeding 10000 steps a day and maximising my allowed outdoors time.
On my various laps I gathered the answers to the necessary questions, noting some challenge with my count of the steps. Fortunately using some logic allowed me to eliminate any confusion and continue. I gathered the info after a few days and held it until finally finding the cache now that rules are easing.
Thanks for hide.

29-Jun-20
A very enjoyable trek through the park, ending in a glorious sunset on Mt Cooper. TFTC!

29-May-20
Had to come back for a second search but finally got it! TFTC

12-Jan-20
After wondering for a while if our math was right, we discovered that it was! Thanks for the cache!

Find number 7573 at 4:46:34 pm
On the way home from work and on a mission here to convert this from a DNF to a smilie.
Having attempted this on several occasions I am glad put this one to bed after checking my clues with the CO and then redoing my maths. Today was a quick easy find.
**Thanks for placing this cache Alsume**

29-Aug-19
Fourth time here looking for this one, and finally signed, but there are worse places to revisit. Of the clues the only one that should be open to interpretation is the steps, but I got the wires wrong, because I don’t read. Still most things can be fixed with persistence and today was my day to persist. Thanks Alsume

07-Jul-19
Bundoora Parklands is well worth exploring. Definitely make time to visit the homestead art gallery.

22-Apr-19
A multi that I didn't do exactly in order, but that doesn't matter as long as you get to the end. Reading ahead sometimes makes the job a little easier! I've been really close to the homestead previously when the kids have played footy at the nearby oval, but it was good to take a breath today and wander over to have a look. Unfortunately it wasn't opened, but none the less an interesting look from the outside.

I can't quiet believe that I actually got all the maths right the first time. Usually I'll find a way to make at least one mistake, even when it's simple. The cache itself was out in the open, so I tucked it away a little more out of obvious site that it was, but still not to hard to find for the next cacher. TFTC

24-Mar-19
Found! First geocache was a tricky one! Somehow found it with the wrong coordinates but looked for approximate locations!

11-Mar-19
Wow what a view. I collected clues around the park and ended up seeing half the world, it seemed. Finding the cache was a bit tricky, the coordinates seemed to me more 'out in the wilderness' than I expected. I trusted my calculations and the gps and eventually found the desired object. Great multi.

27-Sep-18
Well the view was worth the wait to collect a smiling face on this one. It was started a very long time ago and despite all my efforts I could not get the numbers to add up to anything other than a GZ that proved to be unsuccessful.
In desperation i sought confirmation of my numbers from the CO. I was so close but there was no cigar. Today I had to babysit in the afternoon so I stopped off at the familiar park and looked one more time for the elusive container. A short search and my name was in the log.
After returning the cache to hides hiding place I drove up and out and took in that fantastic view on the way to B Sitting.
Thanks for bringing me here again and your support Alsume.
A FP coming for that view.

04-Sep-18
Found on a return visit with help. Challenging for its rating but glad to cross it off. TFTC.

27-Jul-18
Thankyou, it was a lot of fun spending an hour riding around this beautiful place. Very fun cache but may need a new paper that describes geocaching in case it is accidently discovered. TFTC

09-Apr-18
Find #1707 for me. Found at 4:30 pm after visiting La Trobe University's Bundoora campus from Bendigo for work. I'd completed the first stages of this multi-cache on previous work trips to Bundoora but today I decided to complete it. The weather today was fantastic so I was very happy for the excuse to get out for a short walk before the drive back to Bendigo. Great final location too! Thanks for the journey which took me to some very interesting places along the way Alsume, and thanks for the cache at the end!

18-Jan-18
This cache was quite an adventure!! The puzzles and maths equations were extremely fun and it is in a beautiful location. After a few coordinate amendments and attempts at the GZ, the cache was finally in hand. Details are key TFTC!!!

18-Jan-18
This cache was quite fun... going to all the different stages, and getting to visit some of the best parts of such a beautiful park. The history in the description was also very interesting! It ended up being quite a challenging multi though, as the first time I managed to miscount the number of lines on the sign!! So no luck for me, Rachsta42 and our GeoDog at our first GZ coordinates! And then after recalculating coords and a second attempt, we again failed to find the cache! So we messaged the C.O. and after a very prompt reply, we recalculated yet again (as we weren't observant enough at another stage as well!!).... and finally... Success!! Hooray!! Thanks muchly for this cache! Deserves a fave point from me! Smile

09-Aug-17
Solved months ago with the help of CO. TFTC

24-Jul-17
GeoKids and I had a great time today going around and completing all the stages. My 7yr old was able to get all the clues on his own and do most of the calculations too. It was time for Miss 4yr old to follow the coords and make the final find. Two Happy GeoKids and one very happy GeoKidAtHeart here.
A great Multi.
TFTC

09-Jun-17
A DNF for me today. I had much trouble at WP2 as I ended up guessing what steps were needed as it looks like work has been done and I didn't know what to include. I went for a look at a likely location with the numbers i had but gave up after 15 minutes of searching

12-Jan-17
Having been in the park around dawn seeking another cache I decided to expand my search area from my previous attempt here, to only *then* realise the CO had changed the instructions for the first waypoint a few days ago! I hadn't held out much hope of finding the cache when I arrived; it was a pure crapshoot because my request for advice regarding the seemingly altered signage had seemingly been lost in the aether last time around. But suddenly things looked brighter. I looked at my months-old photo of the 'new' sign, revised my numbers (all of them!) and calculated a slightly different GZ. Pretty close to the old one. But with the crucial difference that the cache was there. Thanks Alsume! I hadn't visited this park since my childhood so it was good to have an excuse to look around once more.

09-Jan-17
Seems that the sign at WP1 has been changed, so I have adjusted the description accordingly. Apologies to those who were looking for information that was not on the new sign.

18-Dec-16
We attempted this a week previously. walking this way and that we eventually got to our gz but search as we might the cache remained elusive. We gave up and after some communication with the CO we realized our mistake. Out by maybe 15 meters. Finally got the chance to return today and complete the search. Found the well hidden cache in a few minutes. Tftc

10-Dec-16
Out in Bundoora today with Diana8. We didn't have any trouble finding the waypoints, but we looked for a long time for the cache and couldn't find it Sad

10-Dec-16
Julesc21 and I were pretty sure we had all our numbers correct, but after a good search at GZ, no cache was to be found. Several suspicious looking holes, but all empty unfortunately.

29-Oct-16
Second time back here and found easily thanks for the history .!

15-Oct-16
Had a cursory look at my presumed GZ but I really didn't trust my coordinates and it was well past time to take a homeward tram. Took numbers home in an effort to pin down any errors. I shall return. Thanks Alsume!

26-Aug-16
Excelente caminata para encontrar este cache. Espectaculares vistas de los suburbios de Melbourne. TFTC.

20-Aug-16
Lovely views and the old homestead was beautiful. TFTC.

23-Jul-16
Unless it's been muggles or co ords are out but cannot find it

19-Jun-16
Let me tell you, that was a marathon. We counted stuff, we crunched numbers and derived some coords over an afternoon in the area. Anyway, our data did not match the data that the CO had and the cache was not located on the first pass even though we apparently had got to within 30 meters. A quick text to the CO and with corrected coordinates we soon had the cache in hand.
Found at 6:15pm in the dark.
TFTC

02-Jun-16
Found on my second time. Originally when I did this I got the final coords but couldn't find the cache. After returning home and going over everything I found one variable that might have been different. Taking a few guesses I returned to GZ I came up with the goods. TFTC

22-May-16
Finally found it, after 2 attempts.
Allow an afternoon for this one. Attention to detail is important.
A bit of fun, thanks to the owner.

23-Apr-16
In the area for the Anzac Weekend, so time to enjoy a walk/drive, grabbing the clues, on a lovely sunny day. There was a few muggles about but soon made this nice little hide, in between and enjoyed the view.
Thanks Alsume for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Now on my way here I p'd off several people by letting a truck out from its parking spot on Lygon street. Well ... I had a 12 hour babysitting shift start at6:30 am so "swings and roundabouts", people. We actually got here without getting lost (I had satNav but y'know - that doesn't preclude a mammoth series of wrong turns- just means I hear "turn around when possible " a LOT)

I'm feeling good. Extra child is SO unimpressed by the idea of walking through several waypoints to collect data, that she lets me know that and points out that she might actually explode if we have to walk a few meters to the very fine house over there. I'm thinking- well at least that would be a good story for my log, if she did in fact explode. She's almost as impressed by my response as the idea of the walk. We walk anyway.
The house is fabulous, we look at the exhibition inside and admire some stained glass windows within. We come back and check the next waypoint and extra child is promised a snack after the geocache "just over there". She's not sure about me, I am very effective at the "quick sticks" "Mary Poppins" voice - in fact last week in the city 2 dozen adults in business attire obeyed the crossing instructions I was giving my children - honestly! This child is used to a much "fluffier" style I think. We have the snack, and head up to the next waypoint and then the final. Somewhere I did a sum wrong or grabbed one piece of data wrong- where we end up just isn't right and the children by now are bickering a lot. I resign to PAF - they won't stand doubling back to re count. Thankfully my PAF came through super quick and has the best memory I have ever known. We aren't actually far away and with the adjustment we soon have cache in hand. It's suffered a little with moisture but is mostly ok.

Suscoe's 16th find of the day.
It was a very wet day to wander about this area.
Heavy rain at times and then late in the day some sunshine.
It was getting late in the afternoon when we finally arrived at GZ.
We had enjoyed our wander around this area and we saw some places that we had never seen before.
Thanks to Alsume for placing this cache and creating this multi.
A pleasant late afternoon learning experience.

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon I decided to go out and grab a few caches. I had gathered all the information yesterday but had run out of time so decided to return today to retrieve it. A quick find. TNLN. TFTC.

Aito is 5 years old and Amon is just about 3 years old. We parked at Mount Cooper and enjoyed our walk back and forth to Bundoora Park and the Homestead. We found the treasure and thanks to those previous for leaving nice trinkets.

A lovely few hours spent walking and driving around the park and across to the homestead on a sunny winter's day. I have visited the park many times but I usually only go to the playgrounds and picnic areas near Plenty Road. It was good to explore some of the other parts of the park.
The cache was a little difficult to retrieve as a large branch had fallen off a nearby tree. I was able to re-hide the cache after leaving a few items for the next finders.
Thank you, Alsume, for this multi cache.

Maintenance check today. Log is dry and ok for use, although it has clearly been damp in the past - probably when, as a previous log mentions, the lid was not on the cache.

Collected the clues last year..
Visit again...
found it finally..
thanks

I've lived around here all my life and I always thought the homestead was the settlement for some reason. Thanks for bringing me here!

I also found the log out in the open, and the book was a little wet but alot of the early logs at faded because of it. Was OK to write in though. I tried to hide it a bit better.

Found on the way home from work, cruising around looking for multi's for the Multi Month Challenge.
Got right to the end and NO prize. Will redo my sums and recheck at a later date.
Thanks for placing this cache Alsume

Found this today with little geocachers. The log was wet and the container in the open. Buttons were a bit of a dissappointing trade.

What a splendid day for a treasure hunt in the park. Fortunately I paid attention during maths class and was able to find the cache, albeit after an hour of hunting! Great fun Smile

Made my way to a likely location, but I think I may have made a calculation error.
A great spot nonetheless, thanks to Alsume for bringing me here.

Hunted around for this about a week ago but had no luck. Turned out I fudged one of the numbers a tiny bit in the final coordinates. Had another look today and finally found it, in the one tree I didn't look under last time! All in all a good hunt, had never seen the mansion before despite regularly coming to the park as w kid. TNLNSL, TFTC!

2nd visit with success this time, GPS was jumping around a bit last time. Decided to tackle this heading up the hill instead of down. Cache was soon spotted and in hand. We were back in the area as there is a new multi very close to here. Smile

Thanks for the Sunday morning stroll. I had to do a bit of searching at the cache location, but found it eventually. TFTC

Took a little while for Snap Happy and myself to work out the required numbers for this one, were blaming the lack of coffee at this stage of the day. Loved the old homestead, that is worth a visit on its own and the trip around the park is great also. Worked out the final co-ord's (eventually) while watching the planes come past and after a short stroll came up with the cache. Thanks Alsume for the cache and the tour of the area. TFTC

Found OK after a fair bit of mental arithmetic. It wasn't at the tree that was at the coordinates I deduced so checked nearby trees. Then saw the container left in the open so I re-hid it. The view from Mt Cooper is worth the visit.

This was my first time doing a multi. Living nearby and knowing this park quite well I was able to quickly do the first parts and then stopped to work out the final co-ordinate, only to get thwarted by the sudden onslaught of muggles.

My co-ordinates were out by about 10m or so but I had no trouble finding it as the cache was lying out in the open. I placed it back where I thought it should be and covered it slightly but the CO might want to check it is in the right spot.

Thanks for the cache Alsume. It was good, but I think I'm a fan of the traditional caches more.
