I found this one on a list of archived caches and thought I'd have a go at finding it today. No trouble getting close to GZ and it was a pleasant walk. One very obvious hidey-hole, which I had a good dig around in, but no sign of the cache Then I climbed to search another spot but still no find
We found it at 17:05 as we still had it on our file of caches to find. It is still there. Might we be able to claim LTF? TFTC Wingaap. Good to meet you the other day.
I guess I must have missed when this one was archived. I had it in the GPS and as I was passing by I thought I'll just duck in and grab it. Cache was a little exposed but all was OK. Signed the log and replaced it back in its little hiding spot.
Given the storm damage to the area and tt would appear that 'caches of this type' ie eclipse tins are adding to the steady decline in the quality of caches (according to a forum topic - gca).
Not wanting to add to the decline - scratch one eclipse tin

We took our GeoPup to the dog park for a run before heading of to look,
GROSS, Picked out container and 15 different bugs and beetles crawled out with it, not to mention the spider webs, GeoKids and I were reminded of Timon and Pumba. Great find Thankyou.

Find 40 of 42 on a day of caching with Kholometers and Tratty. The hint had a lovely double meaning on this one which we got - eventually - TNLN, TFTC.
Found while on a Sunday stroll - Markets - Caching.
Nice little area for the GeoHounds.

Out and about caching with TheWonderstuff. Good hide, obvious but not obvious. Funny how we both said "Knew it would be there" and had actually both searched there earlier with no success

Didn't take too long to find this cache. Interesting method of placement. Park was quiet as it was mid-morning. Took a bit of a look at the tram museum from the outside but didn't have the time to check it out. TFTC.
Found at 1154 with the Stuanch Gang. After a short walk in the rain and we walked straight up to it.
Not difficult find after visit to Tramway museum and before lunch at The Bowls club. No time to stay so TNLN.
Nice work!

What a lovely day for caching and exploring yet again some parts of Brisbane never seen before. Thanx for leading us here.

The 29th Wingaap cache found in the grand caching run - Wingaap your productivity in hiding caches is to be admired by all. Thanks for the cache.
Cache replaced ie new container & new log book.
Cache hidden about 30cm from original hiding spot. Coords remain the same.
Cache container now has wire 'handle' to aid extraction.
Replaced cache container and log book.

If they get much smaller, I may have to learn shorthand. Great quick find in a tranquil setting, even with peak hour road, rail, and pedestrian traffic just 100 or so metres away. 'Signed' log at 17:00. TFTH. PesceVerde.
Had a late start this morning so I knocked off a couple close to home. TFTC.
The log book is quite damp.

NICE HIDE. IT SEEMS SOME WATER HAS GOTTEN INTO THE CACHE BUT THE CONTENTS ARE NOT RUINED, TFTH
Tracked this one down on dusk so the shadows were playing havoc and we may have been lucky not to come across residents! Nice one, Thanks Wingaap.
Yay, another of the K9s done - and the police didn't even try to arrest me or anything! Cache was a bit damp, surprisingly, I'd have thought it would be fairly safe. Ah well... TFTC! ='.'=
GPS had me at the standard 10m out for a Wingaap cache but I looked and found it in the obvious place. Log is a bit wet as the container is not watertight.

Another one for today. Credit to Steve for getting his eye on this one first.
Found with URDERA.
Thanks Jerry & Jen.

Thanks Jerry & Jen.
Our final find today (36th). Found in company with Xixau and Shenzi and we set a new daily record of 36 cache finds.
Having to park outside the police station Jen and Mrs Urdera decided to wait this one in the car while I darted off with Jerry trying not to gain any attention from the nearby police.
I'm sure we looked suspicious found this one easily ...yeah the last find for the night belonged to the Urdera team.
Now it was time to head back to Xixau and Shenzi's home for a nice meal and a well deserved rest.

Cache was found easily enough but trying to get the log out to sign it took for ever. The dinosaur was jammed well and truly into the cache and it took the geoboys at least 15 minutes to get the log out. Also container does not have a lid. TFTC.
Find 8 of 14 for the night. I didn't see any police, so I musn't have been too stealthy . Also, what angermanagement said about the cache being open, but it appears to be already fixed. What great service! TFTC.
A nice walk in the park - took the scratchie and left a tricerotops, which is guarding the notes quite aggressively. I'll have to buy up for next hides, as the scratchie is good !
Lovely park. Enjoyed the walk across. Saw the hiding place from about 20 metres away. Great spot! We managed to roll up a scratchie in there. Hope the next geocacher wins big. TFTC
Have to admit, I looked a little out of place with no dog. Found the cache quickly. No mossies to contend with either! TFTC
Arrived to get this one at about 0930 this morning to find a bunch of people in the area on GZ. Never seen people here before. Seemed like some sort of organised on lead doggie training thingy.
Came back on my return from other caches and lo and behold cache poped out reasonably easily 5th of 5 caches today.
Located at 1230, now home to cook dinner for tonights 12 guests!!

Our first geocache. The GeoKidz enjoyed the treasure hunt, as did I. Knot clue was the clincher however not sure about the snowflake. Great way to spend Australia Day. Happy Birthday Australia.
Quiet today,no people,no dogs only us and the mozzies. Cache located easily. "Snowflake" clue was a mystery to us though. Thanks
Walked straight to the spot spied from 200 metres away! Didn't have to act too suspiciously adjacent to the local constabulary and didn't need the bug spray. Too slick for either! Cheers from Featherwaite.
Found by Sunshine Toledo at 2:57pm. This cache was visible at about 20 metres. It was sticking out of its hiding place. The hole was dug out and the cache is now well hidden but an obvious hiding place. TNLNSL TFTC.
Nice easy one, went in from the wrong side, through the long overgrown grass, cobblers pegs and lantana, instead of the mowed grass, D'OH!!! TFTC
Took a bit longer to find this one as it wasn't on my to do list but appeared on the 'radar screen' so couldn't resist the opportunity. Wasn't aware what type of cache to look for which only made it more of a challenge, and exciting .
We were down from Toowoomba for a Cub Scout camp in Samford and had to do some geocaching while here of course .
Cache in good condition.

This cache was find number 51 of 102 finds I did with Dtay for our record attempt on Saturday 18 November 2006.
We were here at 11:22 hours.
On the way to this one, we walked past some amazing BMX jumps. As we got closer to the cache, we realised that some ladies had set up their picnic table right next to the tree we were aiming for. They had set up a picnic so they and their hounds could socialise.
We got chatting to them and explained all about geocaching, they were quite interested in the GPS - seeing a use for their tree planting operations. We recorded our visit in the log book and were very tempted by the offer of a cup of tea, but politely declined.

K9 Ferny grove – Its amazing how this areas has developed over the last 30 or so years. The nearby tramway museum was out in the digglies when it was first built after the demise of trams in Brisbane in 1969. I remember spending a tramways and bus drivers union Christmas party out there about 35 years ago, as my dad worked for Brisbane City Council as a trammie, and in the bus workshops at Coronation Drive. This cache was found by us at 11.10am. The local kids obviously use the area close by for jumping their BMX’s.

Cache thirty-two of fifty finds for the day, on my fly in fly out visit. I found the cache at 16:45. I made a real mess off this one I parked in the side street and walked into the cache finding a creek between me and the cache I then walked through a hole heap off mud, Hertz are going to love cleaning the car. I finally found the cache with the rain bucketing down. Thanks Wingaap for the cache.
Mr Spud was "knot" watching this but still watching his GPS when I found this one.
Found at 12:27, second for the day.
The GPS decided we should wander down to the creek before directing us back to where we should have been. Nice easy find once in the right place. Cache container was slightly exposed, tried to re-hide it as best we could but am afraid it might become exposed again.

Well, this was the biggest anti muggle performance yet!
Quickly slipped the cache out of it's hidey hole before the muggles came back . But...
DIDN'T SIGN THE LOG FAST ENOUGH!
As the "Men of the trees" came back mum and i quickly hopped into the tree and talking about the great trees of the area. while doing so mum stealthily put the cache back in it's hiding place!
No. 250 for THENANKS. 5/10 finds for the day

5th find of 34 for the day.
We hopped out of the car and admired the facilities in the park. As we approached GZ however, we noticed a band of people at about where we thought we needed to go! [:(!] We wandered over casually and struck up conversation. They were from "Men of the Trees", a bushland care group. While Dadda NANKS and the geoboys chatted, Mumma NANKS went into stealth mode and quickly slide the cache out of its hidey hole. The log was signed and it was replaced with the "Men of the trees" oblivious to all (and they literally were within a metre of the tree!)
This brings up 250 finds for THENANKS!!!!!! Thanks to Wingaap for supplying so many of our enjoyable finds.

Sixth of nine finds on my last night in Brisbane this trip. Here I am back in Wingaapville again. I didn't see the local constabulary, but was stealthy anyway. This cache reminded me of another, considerably more difficult Brisbane cache. Now I understand the snowflake reference. I found it at 2145. Yet another K9 cache bites the dust! I made no exchange. Thanks to Wingaap for the cache.
Quick find. Quite hard to get because of environmental muggles cleaning up the area.
Drove past and had to walk back with Mrs Deco.
Walked straight to it.
Called Mr Deco for a pickup.

All your hints and descritpion was spot on wingaap. The stump is evident but sadly no cache. There has been a lot of council activity in this area of late, and the local community is keen on keeping the vegetation in good condition - we suspect this cache may have been muggled.
