I have to admit that I searched here for 40 minutes looking for a magnetic sistema container, I found an old lid of one and thought that it must be an old andreplaced with a new, now I read in previous logs that it is a micro, well I didn't see it ( I found a couple of bongs ). Guess I will return another day to search again, in this quiet peaceful spot..

17-Dec-09
It took a few minutes of hunting around but I eventually found this cache in a very nice park area. I didn't feed the ducks though.

29-Nov-09
FOUND IT!! Whew! Nicely hidden! Good spot for a picnic, so bring a basket and blanket along if you're hunting for the cache.

25-Nov-09
Even with a GPS I was unable to locate the cache - resorted to the hint and more but no success. I suspect that it may have been muggled

21-Nov-09
Find # 661 @ 16:55
I arrived at gz to find an empty 200ml sistema container on the ground and my initial thoughts were that the cache had been well and truly muggled. I read through a couple of logs and came across smerrall's comments and I had a look for the cache. Sure enough, the cache is alive and well. I signed the log and spent some time watching the bird life. They didn't appear to be fazed by humans at all. It was interesting to see a diver diving down and bringing up some algae for the babies to eat. It is a well constructed artificial lake and, as the title implies, is a very serene locale. Thanks for bringing me here to experience this area.

15-Nov-09
Unfortunately, a visit by me and a friend couldn't uncover the cache! Perhaps because I wasn't quite looking in the exact spot, perhaps because I was thinking that the container would be a typical metallic box (i.e. *grey*), perhaps because I lacked a GPS device. Still, I intend to head back and try again within the week. I'm stubborn like that. Hopefully it hasn't been muggled since September...

13-Sep-09
I followed my tomtom's instructions and ended up at the end of a non-descript suburban street. At the end was a little pathway that seemed to go in the right direction. The path led to a beautiful piece of parkland. It didn't take long to locate where I thought the cache should be, but clearly it had been muggled as a small systema container and lid were discarded there. But the cache notes said micro and metal. Could it still be there? A further search revealed that it was still there, intact and healthy. Just goes to show how you shouldn't take anything for granted.

09-Aug-09
What a lovely park. Flowing water, loads of birdlife and no shortage of trees either. Once I got there I looked where I thought it would be and sure enough there it was. Signed the makeshift logbook and was on my way, admiring the surrounding houses as I went.

31-Jul-09
I think I should have taken the GPS making a complete botch of navigating me to this cache as a hint to give up! Then I couldn't find a pen in the car, it was only the last minute find of an ikea pencil in the boot that meant I attempted this cache.
Luckily there were no muggles around on a Friday morning and I could hunt around fairly easily (even under the structure) but even this wasn't enough! I hope that the cache is out getting it's self a new log book, otherwise the only conclusion is that I am completely blind! I couldn't see or feel anything remotely cache like. Sad

11-Jul-09
I am sure this is a lovely spot, but at 6 pm in winter I was just keen for a find. After nearly getting my arm stuck trying to reach over the rocks in the wrong location I went for a crawl and found success.

Well, kind of. The cache is in the correct location but completely empty - no log at all. And yes, I did have the cache. Bright green Eclipse tins with magnets stuck in side them at the specified location as per the hint do not occur randomly by nature.

Luckily I was paper caching, having failed to download the maps for Melbourne when I downloaded the pocket query for Melbourne caches, so I folded up my page printout, signed the back and replaced cache.

Will leave a note to ensure a proper log is placed in location.

11-Jul-09
There is no proper log in this cache anymore, just a scrap bit of caching paper I put there myself.

Can the cache owner please replace with a more appropriate log record.

27-Apr-09
This was my second try here and again without success - I even went under the structure to try and locate the cache but still unlucky (anymore clues???)

26-Apr-09
clever way to hide the cache, good work Smile

19-Apr-09
Even with hint and reading logs couldn't find today. Park was muggle quiet. Really hate how they pack the houses in so tight these days Sad

12-Apr-09
Out caching on a beautiful sunny day with the family.
The daughter loved the ducks and the water. Luckily there were enough gaps in the muggle traffic to do the retrieve and replace.
Thanks for bringing us to this piece of suburban serenity Thyla and Thylo.

07-Apr-09
Found @ 2225.

Found with ggkof on our usual Tuesday night caching adventure. I had looked for this before, glad to finally cross it off.

Found at 0500. Picked a good time to grab this one as there was no way anyone was going to be at GZ this time in the morning...at least I hoped not. Nice little location.

27-Sep-08
Quick grab, but two boys decided to play right above my head, so I had to wait for them to chill out before I could make a classy egress. Thanks for the cache. Co-ords spot on. ZZ7

14-Sep-08
The houses, landscaping and water features combine to make this a particularly attractive area. Which is good, because this was our second visit to this cache.

First time around we were a bit meek what with muggles and all, but this time we went for the jugular, as it were, and realised that there was only one place it could be. Thankfully the reluctant spouse didn't mind getting a bit dirty to prove my theory.

Thanks to Thyla and Thylo for bringing us to this lovely spot.

12-Sep-08
Found without any difficulty took around 5 minutes to spot. Nice area. Much enjoyed

07-Jul-08
It amazing what you find out the back of houses. This was a fantastic little park that we would never have known existed without geocaching. The ducks here seemed very happy to have this area kept just for them. The cache took a little while to find but eventually we had it in hand.
TNLNSL
Thanks once again Thyla and Thylo.

Got filthy tracking this one down, and earlier warnings about duck poo are spot on. Not that it was poo that made me mucky, it was mud!

21-Mar-08
I agree, poo ahoy here. It was good to see it still here, was doubting my self as to where it was last time.

Thanks guys.

Found this with leadscout after the first time we came here it was muggled. I agree watch out for the POOP.

Have replaced this cache as a micro. Not sure if the cache was discovered by workmen or children as some of the lights on the bridge were missing.
Sorry to all that have had trouble finding it lately.
The cache is log only.

18-Nov-07
I should have brought my climbing gear for this one. I climbed under, over, through and even with a second set of eyes,(HOMERJAY73) nothing to be found. Maybe next time.

11-Nov-07
Had 3 sets of eyes looking for this one. The GPS was steady and we searched according to the clue. Everywhere with a metal surface was checked but nothing was found. six baby swans kept us company!

01-Nov-07
This was my second search in as many days. I spent a good half-hour this time, to no avail. I'll keep an eye on it.

27-Oct-07
I thought I knew what I was looking for and where, but I came up with nothing despite what I thought was an extensive search (but which evidently wasn't!). Oh, well ... another time perhaps. This didn't stop me enjoying the serenity, however, and it was good to see a little water trickling through the system and to have such close encounters with the abundant bird life. In fact, a swan and her rather overgrown cygnets were a little affronted by my presence and made threatening gestures in my direction. TFBMH (thanks for bringing me here).

08-Oct-07
Beautiful day and not too many muggles but no find....second not to find today... oh well onto the next.

Found this easily and had a good talk to those ducklings along the waterway that came really closeby to see us in action.

Hi Thyla and Thylo
I don't think I've done of your caches for quite a while so I'll first take the opportunity to say hi.
Secondly a very nice little spot indeed and living near here in the current drought conditions would be great. I'd have a pump on the lake in a flash, although no doubt it wouldn't be apprectiated. Smile
Anyway thanks for bringing me here.

Refreshing to see such a nice water feature in such dry times. Found the cache fairly easily, but I doubt I would have retrieved it without Geogirl. Thanks Thyla and Thylo. TNLNSL

7.30pm
Found by Roma and Max.
This is one of the nicest wetlands area that we have visited in our geo travels. We assume the main features would be fed by a recycling system. The bridge would also be interesting at night time with what appears to be inbuilt lighting!
We left one of our usual Mondo Figurines and took a Watch.
Thanks Thyla and Thylo for the cache.

Found 1.15pm
It took some navigating to get close to this one but really enjoyed the peacefulness once there. We guessed where the cache was hidden but had to wait for a muggle free period to dive in for it.

Many muggles about so enjoyed watching the baby ducklings! Worked again with three of the secret seven.ahh the serenity!

01-Oct-06
Black ducks, Chestnut Teals, Wood ducks, what a great spot and just a short walk from home. Found it with TimeTeam. Bumped my head getting this one out.

17-Sep-06
Returning from another cache this was an interesting area as we remembered when it had a more social purpose, and recognised that the palms had preceded the suburbanisation. Finding a convenient way to the linear park was a bit tricky but once there it was very pleasant and much entertained by the ducks (mostly pacific blacks) who obviously felt that spring was here. Good timing was required to pick up the cache unobserved as there were a few walkers around. The location is a bit vulnerable so TNLN.

09-Sep-06
Easy find and I think some kids may have signed log book before me. Noone about this morning and went away unobserved. thanks thyla and thylo

A very obvious find, so re-hid it a little better to prevent accidental discovery by kids at play. TNLNSL
It's great to see interesting landscaping and features adding something to new housing estates.
Thanks.

Hear the Serenity. Left Homer to chill out took the Ford Badge.

01-Aug-06
Reasonably easily in a good spot. I felt exposed like others but its probably not as bad as it feels, and will be less when some of those trees grow. Nice little park and stream - thanks Thyla and Thylo.

31-Jul-06
Another one found in the dark and rain. Loved the sneaking around with a torch aspect of this one! Thanks. Took rubber ball left keyring.

01-Jul-06
With all tasks done (well, that's my story and I'm sticking with it Wink), off I set to see if I could find a couple more caches before night closed in. I parked nearby to this one, and walked to GZ for a nice easy find at 16:35.

There is a large degree of conspicousnessness-ness about retrieving and rehiding this cache. A short wait in the car with a clear view of GZ seemed to indicate that no-one had taken any notice of my activities so on I went.

A very pleasant area of Melbourne I must say. TNLNSL. Many thanks Thyla and Thylo.

25-Jun-06
We came here at night but it is far from dark here.

Even in the dead of night I think muggles would still be trouble here.

Might be easier in dayligh - we attepted it by torch light at night.

Unexpected lake system amongst the new houses. The ducks were very interested in me as there was a dirth of muggles around.
Took frog, left pair of dice
Thanks, Robmc.

24-Apr-06
Our first attempt at night caching didn't go well. We woke up the neighbours dog, but that was the least of our worries. Hunted for a long time, until we got too cold, and couldn't find it. GPS seemed to be clearly pointing to one end of the bridge, and went in/out, under/over and no luck. Couldn't work out what the clue was referring to either. Hope it hasn't got lost again, but probably not, probably just our inexperience showing at this point.

Thanks T&T for a nice area though.

14-Apr-06
Found at 16:20 with SatyricTim and the kids. I looked in the obvious place and didn't see anything. So then the kids had a look and found it!

What a fantastic location! Very pretty, especially in the rain. Yup, we got rained on. "Real" Geocaching weather today Smile

14-Apr-06
In the cold and the rain we got out our umbrellas and joined the ducks. GZ was spot on for my GPSr. The kids did the hard work of hunting while I pondered just how many windows overlooked the cache!

Frog in, ball out.

Thanks T&T!

Enjoyed the trek to this pleasant hiding spot .Felt like 200 sets of eyes were watching by women doing dishes at their kitchen windows.DID a quick log and run as it is difficult.Great little pond and rockery area, nice new suburb ,found at 1.00pm ,TNLN and thanks to Thyla and Thylo for the invite to the new housing spot !!!

13-Mar-06
The light rain help to keep the muggles away. My GPS prefered the middle of the bridge but I decided the end was more likely. Good spot. Took a little hanky and left a Ford badge.

05-Mar-06
Found this one whilst meandering about after a spot of house shopping, of all things! What a nice spot, on such a beautify Autumn day - thanks for leading us to it, Thyla and Thylo! Took little alien toy, left glow stick, signed log.

01-Mar-06
Found on a beautiful Autumn day during my lunch time. The cache was easily found. I agree with oenze - it must have suffered from cache creep - there's no way this is a difficulty of 3. It may be worth the owners checking up where it is hidden.

I visited this area over year ago when setting up 'The End of the Line 6'. Just up from GZ is where the branch line ended.

Thanks for the cache.

2nd out of 3 finds for the day.
This area will come up a treat when all the houses are finish and there are
a view more trees. The ducks gave me a nice welcome and there wasnt anybody around so the cache was easy pickings.
PS acording to the clues I think the cache is not in the spot where it should be.

Found at 1050 on 5 February 2006 by 4 Men and a Lady in convoy with Wine Timers.

What a magnificant little Parkland area wtih the water feature absolutely stunning.

Got to GZ and got to where the obvious spot would be. John of Wine Timers came round the other side where it was in better view and beat me to the punch (yet again!!!)

many Thanks to Thyla and Thylo for bringing us to this magical place.

28-Jan-06
Thylo and myself decided to check on this one this evening, considering, we had trouble finding it ourselves just before Christmas.
It had been moved to a different spot by a fellow geocacher, and as it turned out, this was not a good spot, as the cache had not stuck to its new hidding spot, and we found it sitting in a pool of water.
The contents have been dried, and cache been place in a new spot. For future finders, could you please make sure it is returned to the correct spot, to prevent accidental discovery or it falling off the structure.
Thanks,
Thyla and Thylo.

Second of four finds for the afternoon. I had been looking forward to this one. It turned out that the hardest part was finding the way in. After the overnight rain, I thought I might have to get wet to retrieve this one, but it was not to be. I found the cache at 1330. On the way back to the car I saw a mother duck with four young 'uns. Very serene! Thanks to Thyla and Thylo for the cache.

Gawd ! Thought this would be an easy find after completing the "End of the line 6" cache, but although we searched hard, we could not find. Looks like someone was there earlier in the day and found it so we must be bloody blind Sad Will try again another day !

Found 11:35, Should have found this straight away, but our initial hunt failed to turn up the goodies Sad however a quick call to Maccamob put us back on track and we soon had the cache in hand Smile

TNLN, thanks Thyla and Thylo, a great cache in a very pleasant setting.

04-Jan-06
Found at 1:05pm. Truly was a serene spot to sit and spend a lunchtime today. Only pity was that I didn't bring anything to feed the ducks. There was one family with 9 ducklings and another with 5.

We live in strange times when the cache owners can't find their own cache! Big Grin Seriously though, there has obviously been some cache creep happening. A2YG is an expert in finding caches that have crept away from their original hiding places. I have seen him locate caches that I had found before, but had given up for lost, because the cache was not where I found it. Persistence is his middle name. Wink

02-Jan-06
A BIG Thankyou to acts2youthgroup for finding what we thought was a lost cache. Unbelievable. Even after both we both went out and had a good look around. We need more practice.

Dear Thyla nad Thylo,

Yep, we agree with Acts2. We have also found your cache at 4:15pm today and it is indeed still there. The rains had now set in and we all got quite damp, especially me who went in for the final grab after "K" had spotted it. Thanks for the cache.

What do you know I get home to find the cache archived after I just found it, well Dak Emu does call me the expert at finding unfound caches. The cache is there even though I had to get my body in a very awkward position to see it. You can call me and I will tell you where I found it. 0403403688.
Thanks.

Went and checked on this one today. Looks like the cache is gone. Will make up a new one and replace it by the weekend.
Big sorry to those who have tried to find it lately but had no luck.

Stay tuned,
