We did find this on our Geo travels this afternoon but unfortunately had no way of retrieving it so didn't sign any logs.
We knew we had the right tree as the cache is visible.

This one has been on the to do list for quite some time but I required an accomplice to help lug the ladder in here so Deputy Dog suited the job perfectly, though any hopes of him carrying out the retrieval were few and far between. Even with our ladder fully extended I still found myself way beyond safe oc health and safety standards, it was a good thing it was a weekend! So becoming more of a tree hugger than I'm willing to admit the retrieval was carried out and our logs made I have taken out the Voodoo TB and left a diabetes TB Thanks for a stressful but safely done half hour of fun. Tangles once again you have tested my limitations for heights and discomfort from odd looks as to were the hell are you going with that?
Loved it!
Loved it!
Another cache that Iam sure that I was only here to assist with the caring the ladder. Which is a good thing because my dislike of heights would have been surely tested. Signed the log on solid ground whilst I left all the tree hugging to ruffasgutts4x4 who seemed to be quiet enjoying his bonding moment with his new tree friend.

I climbed up the rope, quick as can be,
to grab the ammo can stashed in the tree!
This cache has been on the “Must Do†list for far too long now, so I dusted off the required equipment and set off to apply some skills acquired at the “Tangles school of cordage and smoothie makingâ€. After rigging the rope I was up the tree in a jiffy and the cache was in hand. I gave the log to Mrs Wing Nut who made the required entry from a safe place below while I “hung around†and admired the view. After replacing the log I practiced a quick crossover and abseiled down to Mrs Wing Nut and Wing Nut Jr (who was starting to get a little restless).
Another great Tangles cache. I really enjoyed this one.
TNLN.
Thanks Tangles.

We hit GZ right on dusk. I rigged up as Rumplstiltskin deployed the rope (eventually). Up and down in a flash; the mozzies are terrible up there. Then RS headed up to do sign the log too.
After Rumplstiltskin and I spent the weekend training people in regards to SRT, it was nice to get to be up the rope ourselves finally.
Thanks for the great cache Tangles!

Found it after dark with Hoojar1ARC. Rock in a sock got stuck so we resorted to plan B, cache was soon in hand. Very well set up - so we both had a turn at signing the logbook. In: Little Dog TB. Out: Nought.
Thanks Tangles

After some time without internet, I have let my cache logging slip. I hope this is not bad etiquette, I am going back to update my logs.
I was out riding with GammaPiSigma on one of our anticipated bakery trips (I love the sausage rolls). We knew the cache location, but short of equipment, this would have remained unsolved. We ran into Altaire (whom gave me the hurry up to update the logs.. sorry about that).
A very big thank you to Altaire their efforts, and of course thank you to Tangles for the cache.

Sock and a rock? Tree? 10metres? Mmmmmm…. We had a fair idea of how we were going to tackle this and so it was that a short walk found us eyeing off the problem below the skyline vista of the local tip. We were in plain sight of a couple of tracks and two or three muggles had already gone by whilst we were in the eyeing off stage. Marvellous. Some sort of cover story seemed desirable in case curiosity got the better of someone – owl scats? What the hell do we know about owl scats? Isn’t scat what we were going to tell them to do? Be just our luck if we were fronted by an owl expert.
Anyway, preparations were begun – not before Lady Altaire, still muttering about some perfidy at another Tangles cache not a million miles away had checked out some possible low level cache hides – just in case. We were well into the said preparations when two more muggles were spied yonder on MTBs and getting closer. Just ignore ‘em and maybe they’ll peddle on by. Nuh! Bloody hell….. they’re coming straight over! As we were reviewing our repertoire of deflector lies and obfuscations the lead “muggle†called out ‘have you found it yet?’. Well….. secret handshakes all round. Turned out that our feared owl experts were GammaPiSigma and XU9J4. This was the first time we’d ever met fellow cachers at a hot GZ and we were tickled pink to do so.
We had a nice old chat about caching stuff and then teamed up to quickly complete the interrupted preparations. After not too many hiccups and in a pleasingly short time (our planned method worked a treat!), we’d retrieved the biggest owl scat we’d ever seen – surely this was the prized leavings of the seldom seen “ammunitius boxitus†subspecies “tanglessius trickstus
What a great cache this was to do – a bit like one of those team building adventure course problems. It was made even better by the chance meeting of a couple of other cachers – nice to meet you guys! We took nothing but left some candles and a small pewter photo frame. Thanks again Tangles for another excellent adventure caching experience.
PS Could the next person who does this cache kindly drop off a pencil. After we'd restored the cache and packed up we found the pencil had escaped (now in Nugae). Still a pen there.

Found by Pi and XU9J4.
Finally, after nearly three years GammaPiSigma get their 100th GC cache. We had been planning to do another cache as our 100th but sometimes events don't run to plan.
Myself and XU9J4 were out for a morning ride and as we hadn't been over this way for a few weeks we decided to do the run across the back of Airds around the old tip and over to Noorumba Reserve for some fun. This of course meant riding past Playtex. And as with every other time we have ridden by here we expected to be again wondering how we were going to do this cache as neither of us has any of the required equipment. Well this all changed today.
As we rode along the firetrail the cache location came into view across the creek valley and I noticed someone was over there. Could this be our lucky day? We crossed the creek and headed for the cache. As we approached I used the customary cacher greeting "Have you found it?". Our mystery cachers turned out to be Altaire. They had only just started to setup and we took the opportunity to tag along on the cache attempt. After some fun and games the cache was on the ground and the log signing commenced. Returning the cache was a lot easier than getting it down. And after much talking about caching adventures it was time to head off. For Altaire it was onto more local caches. We continued our ride but, unfortunately, we didn't get over to Noorumba Reserve as we had run out of time.
I must thank Altaire for letting us tag along and say how much of a pleasure it was to enjoy their company. And of course thanks to Tangles who was responsible for our 1st find and now our 100th.
Didn't have my cache bag so: TNLNSL.
TFTC,
Mike (pi).
P.S. The mountain behind the cyclone fence is the old rubbish tip and once upon a time it was a massive hole in the ground that included the soccer fields over the other side.

found this yesterday , and come back to rescue the cache, from the bottom of the tree.armed with a 3m pole and a huge hook, went fishing at the top of the tree.only took 15 minutes to retrive it.other then that easy peezy. great cache tangles.
Thought we'd do this cache today and repay all the previous Tangles caching goodness we've enjoyed by rescuing the cache.
Anyway, when we got here we found that that the cavalry had already been and done the good deed.
So, with the cache safe and sound our mate Rogfrat set about teaching HomeDG Jnr and myself how to climb and descend.
All I can say is that now I have learned how to prussick, I need to learn how to spell it
Thanks for another great experience.

Well..we found the tree, but the cache...it seem to have slipped down the centre and is lying in water! Didn't have the gear to retrieve it from this position, so will visit again one day...see pics!
awesome cache.. this would have to be one of the better caches ive done.. thanks for the fun
Went for a ride from the M2 across the new M7 (last free day) to Campbelltown. That was the excuse, the real reason was to do a few of Tangles caches. Knocked over "Limb" & "X" I was very impressed with both of them, then off to "Playtex".
I've read the logs and seen the photo's.
What could be so hard? and did it deserve 5 stars for terrain?.
Well if Tangles gives it 5 stars you want to believe every one of those stars. It was hard!
I arrived armed with two hemp ropes and a pair of gardening gloves, (silly me) I tied a quarter of a house brick to the first rope and after 3 or 4 attemps the brick landed in the tree (it was stuck) tied a stick to the 2nd rope and it landed in the tree and also got stuck.
I started to think what was this silly 61 year old cacher going to do now?
I will let the photos tell the rest of the story!
Thanks Tangles I got a few scrapes, scratches, bruises and the body aches but it was all worth it.
Regards Philma and Geo-Cheese and Kisses.

Teamed up with half of Dinoteam and with Soy-Boy to conquer this one, another great cache from Tangles and took some getting with the use of climbing/abseiling gear.
2nd go at this one , forgot my harness last time. returned with soyboy and grissom. this time got the rope over on only the third attempt up with kroll and ascender down with grigri TNLN. great challenge secon one for the day.
teamed up with 1/2 dino and gris , we managed to get this one ,,, ummmmmmmmmmmmm what fun !
This was a joint effort with Odee this morning, regretably no-one popped out of the bush and offered us some extra gear, nor was there any sock to be found - not even the old sock in the pants trick.
After a quick ascent the cache was ours. Back on terrafirma we signed the log, swapped a DVD for a DVD and then placed the cache back in its nest.
Thanks Tangles for another quality cache.

Well, well, we are burnt to a crisp! But it was worth it in the end!
We arrived in the morning and left in the afternoon, does this tell you how hard this is? Hmmm. Done the correct way, with a chainsaw, this should take a few minutes, doing it the normal way, may take decidedly longer.
After filling my sock, with enough rock, the rope was finally in place, we tried something first that in hindsight would not have worked.
So, it was up to me to give myself a crash course in prusiking. I knew what the knot looked like, and the basics of how it was supposed to happen. Up I went, slowly, inch by inch, being baked by the sun. I got to the top, and could not reach in, could not feel the box I wanted to feel.
I sat and hung for a while, trying to gain a few extra inches with my leg loop, it was not to be. I was running out of steam, being baked at such an altitude, I was drying out fast! So, I reversed my way back down, which seemed to take forever, by the time I reached the bottom, I was so dry, I just had to sit down and emptied the water bottle.
After packing up and raiding the lair near here, we came back for a second attempt, equipped with better gear that was on loan from a friendly passerby.
After getting the rope over last time on 3 attempts, it took us quite a few to get it set just right this time around, and a few times, I thought it was stuck for sure.
Rigged up, with a cross ya heart bra this time and more metal than most scrap merchants, I was up the tree in a flash, too easy!
Hey! There is a cache in damn tree!
I tied the cache to my rig as I hung in space, signed the log and put it back, it was then, I was told to take the bloody first finders prize which I had not noticed. Cache was back out in a flash and a spanking pair of 8x21's was mine.
Coming down was a breeze, just let go of the rope, the sudden stop is a bit of a downer though.
Now, I was bright red, burnt to a crisp. But, I had conquered what could have been my second nemesis cache.
It was great to be the first, and we did it undisturbed too which was a bonus I feel. Tangles, it was good to finally meet you, and I appreciated your offer. As always, we look forward to making the trek to Campbelltown everytime a new Tangles cache is placed!
