I had my trip to Tasmania planned for months, I had a milestone 3000th cache find coming up!!! What better way to celebrate this then by traveling to the furthest south cache! But seeing as Dav81 and myself would be here for four days we had other plans to look for a few archived caches also In my search for any possible archived caches that may still be available I came across this one.
So today Dav81 and I set off on our archive hunt, leaving Hobart and traveling down to Kingston. This was the first one on our list and we couldn't wait to get to GZ and start searching. When we arrived all the obvious spots were searched, but with no luck. Then Dav81 started poking around and dug a little into the hollow of a tree, while I was busy exploring elsewhere. Then came the triumphant call of 'found it!!!'. Well some of it..... What he had dug up was the lid, I came over to where he was and watched as he unearthed a few more items. Two pens, a sharpener, a shard of the bottom of the container and a football card. Insert happy Cacher dance!!! While there was not a logbook to sign I took a photo of the remains. I was still not certain if I would be able to log this as a find so I sent an email to the CO. Happily I received a response that I could indeed log our discovery.
After our find we took time to explore the area and take in the views. A great spot for a cache, sad to see this one had to be archived Thanks for the cache Cheesy Pigs

There are too many track works and closures going on here. Maybe this cache will be replaced one day - in a new and improved spot - or someone else can set one!
Parked quite close to this one, saw the sign advising that track was being re-vegetated, but the track itself was in very good condition. Just be aware that you are NOT walking on the track requested by the council. The find was easy, the cache in good condition and Tikimon TB visited today. Ta Cheesy Pigs
Found without using the track, no problems. Approach by foreshore from dog beach. This may result in wet feet at high tide. Some scrambling on rocks, but I did it OK with 3 under 10s and a dog. Then strike out uphill when close. BTW I have no idea why the council closed that track, I still use it all the time, it seems fine to me. I guess that is naughty
Cache lid is very tight. May need a new box one day. Also, it was in a spot that didn't quite match the clue, don't know if this was intended. Good spot though.
Took plastic periscope, Euro coin, and highlighter. Left water balloons (empty), key tag (cool dude), and plastic necklace. Kids loved this, a great fun scrambly trip.
Thanks again Cheesey Pigs. One day, I need to find a cache made by somebody else.....

We wandered in from the Kingston end and came up against a track closed sign about 150m short of the cache. Took a picture of a likely clearing that looked like a real good spot for a cache. Would like to walk this coastal track more in the future.
I enjoyed this, a calming spot to go to after work. Proves you don't have to go far to escape the Muggles. Thanks for the cache Cheesy Pigs. TNLN
Easily found on a nice sunday with red tag, lovely walk along cliff face. TNLNSL
Thanks Cheesy pigs for this cache as it brought me back to a place I haven't been to in ages. Sat and watched one of the Incat ferries go by and just soaked up the view and fresh air.
Took dragon (really wanted one of the police stickers but all gone) and left paper holder

Should have gone on to this one the other day but as it turned out this was an excellent spot and time to sit and let some stress out. Found the cache quite quickly as just looked in most obvious place.Took the fishing rig and left mini highlighters. Thanks for an excellent cache Cheesy Pigs
I spent a bit of time walking in circles, before I took a punt which paid off.
Cache wasn't very well covered, when finished put it back in loc, and covered it over. It may be a bit windy up there for the available medium.

Eighteenth of thirty-one finds in company with Snuva's female slave. This was the most memorable cache of the day. It was a 700m up/downhill walk to the cache. It started to spit rain as we attained the summit. It started hailing as we started the search. It started blowing a gale, raining, and hailing a minute later. I asked SFS to show me where the cache was, and I retrieved it at 1435. It was all I could do to put my green emu stamp in the log book. The wind, rain, and hail stones prevented me from making an exchange. [B)] We were soaked to the skin by the time we headed back to the car, and I mean soaked to the skin! By the time we got back to the car the rain had stopped, but it was too late by then. Strangely enough, this is not the first time I have found a cache under hail stones. Thanks to Cheesy pigs for an unforgettable cache. Cheers, dak.
Found this morning, resorted to the hint, but it shouldn't be taken absolutely literally.
Thanks
Thanks
This cache has been moved from its original location, so the hint may not be of any use. For those who are unsure...NO, you dont move other people caches to 'better spots'. I will replace the cache in its actual spot when I have the time.
Nice walk in from Kingston Beach bridge..plenty of muggles at start..but none that ventured here.Easy find..great view. This was to be last find for the day...#17...as couldn't find cache passed on way in.TNLNSL TFTC Cheers Cheesy pigs.
What a great day for a walk! Fantastic views, and easy track. Passed a group of bushwalkers on the track close by so took in the views for a while. SL T-"Dear January" CD L-Kangaroo, 2x bronze coins from Power House Museum Sydney and an Australian Geographic Thermometer.
Cheers

Found the Cache, I enjoyed the walk. There where huge waves coming in onto the rocks, the spray was being lifted by the wind up to where I was sitting and I could feel it on my face.
Only the second Cache that I have found, and the second in one day. Me and 'The Shadow of Darkness'(my guide to geocaching) walked and did both this morning.
Didn't take or leave anything, but really enjoyed the experience, I am already itching to get out and do some more. Perhaps make a few more around the area?
Well, Rock On and keep up the Caching...

Great spot with good views. Track from the northern side is closed. Traded Eurocoin for some Asian Coins. TFTC.
Second find for the day, because of our dodgy navigational skills we took the most difficult route possible and then found the path My poor little puppy had a bit of a hard time of it but seemed to have fun, as did we. Took the star candles (very festive) and left three luck coins.
Thankyou Cheesy Pigs.

Huzzah! Another find for the Pirating team, first for the day, today made up by myself, The Amazing Nightcrawler and Captain Nod. After a previously unsuccesful search by myself and Nodemoton, an hour of searching before giving up, we finally found it today...a few seconds after arriving. I stole a pink frog hat and replaced it with a cd entitled 'Dear January'. We also took a little snuff box for Nod, and a travel bug, 'here be dragons'. However, we forgot to record the bug number when we rehid it. If anyone knows it, please e-mail mop_online@ hotmail. com
That's all from me, beware the darkness, for there lurk I.

The ''PIRATES'' have just found this magnificent cache!!
It was quick nd exiting walking there for teh first time and founding ourselves getting the cache in less than 30 seconds of being on the spot.
Having decided that teh location was way too far exposed to
teh public, we moved it about 6-8 meters away from its original location.

On this day, myself and Captain Nod attempted finding this cache with my brand new GPS. Even though we under orders not to go caching until exams were over, we went anyway. The chance was to good to miss, no class, lovely day, two guys, two bikes, one GPS, no luck. After a few hours and two attempted searches, we gave up and rode to College. Next time we attept these, we shall call in the recruits for The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything! This log was recorded by The Shadow of Darkness, Navigational Officer for The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything.
Goodness, it has taken us a long time to get around to doing this one, but it is completed now! Lovely day for a walk and to admire the views. Dropped off Here be Dragons TB and L pink frog hat (although it's not the weather for it today, perhaps it will be tomorrow?) TN Thanks pigs!
13th find of 15 for the day. Nice hot coastal walk with fires in the distance. Cahe found after a short search. thanks cheesy pigs
Out on a nice Sunday drive and turned the GPS on and found this cache on the screen, Quickly jumped out of the car and took all the muggles for a nice short walk for an easy cache find, Thanks Cheesy Pigs
This was our 7th cache today. And what great caching weather it was too. We were rewarded for our efforts on this cache by the sight of a sea eagle, perched on a nearby eucalypt. We'll upload a photo soon. We're running low on swaps, so TNLN. Thanks for a scenic walk.
After Chepup and Snuva I decided to wander along and grab this one, a lovely morning for a walk, but when you see a sign at the last 100 metre mark saying "Steep Decent", it can only mean one thing, a steep ascent to get out again
Found the cache in about 1 minute 48 seconds, took whistle and placed camera case.
I don't know if it was the ever increasing heat from the rising sun, or the fact I'd just sweated a bucketload getting to the cache and was therefore partially dehydrated, but in the logbook I wrote the following -
"Unfit cachers like me can only got good from caches like this"
Hopefully all the school teachers we have in the caching community have already done this one, or they will have to get their red pens out

Beautiful day, very scenic spot, not many other walkers on track. Found with help of first-timers LL and Lenny the dog. Took ball for Lenny, left mini-highlighters of same colours. Lovely time had by all.
You always end up having to go twice as far as the GPS says on these waterside caches. Not that I mind though, it was the up and down of this track that got to me. There were some artists down on the shore doing some sketches - I hope I didn't make it too hard for them during my search!
TNLNSL - thanks Cheesy Pigs

Well done Cheesy Pigs, I liked this one. The walk was great, and the cache although well hidden, found easily by good clues. Thanks heaps.
Piglet and Mrs CP participated in a covert 'jeep removal' this afternoon. Coming soon to a cache near you
Ok, we admit, cache finding over-drive has kicked in. While in the area let's keep going. Oh my gosh, so glad we didn't over indulge at the Taste. Pity Harry the GeoPup was at home guarding the fort, he would have loved this trail. Great views and well worth the walk. TTE found, T bouncing mouse, L Floating Star candles. Netballer T bracelet and L bubbles. Left Norwyn the Jeep TB to enjoy the scenery and spread the joy. Cheers Quilter
A pleasant afternoon walk (if somewhat uphill and downdale), magnificent views of sun on water and entertainment supplied by four-legged performers at the beginning and end of this one.
Took eraser, left propelling pencil, SL
Thanks for a great cache Cheesy pigs.

Found despite the female slave forgetting something of significance: the coordinates! A quick text message to Mrs CP had Swampy helping us out (remind me not to leave my phone near him!) and Mr CP hoping they’d confused us (really, even the female slave isn’t THAT thick! ). We arrived in merry spirits at my favouritest beach, where the humans pawsed to build up their energy levels with a sushi dinner, then I galloped along the beach, past the first cache I hid, then made for the track. We had brought the youngest human (not a slave), and he was a boon to the trip as he hid, ran, threw things, and generally was fun along the track.
GPSr batteries finally died 12m from the cache, and although we had a new set with us they weren’t really necessary! Fantastic views from this location, but we headed back to the beach so that I could do some intense bouncing with the youngest human. YEAH!!! It was funny, however, watching the female slave returning on the track. She became involved in an SMS conversation with Mrs CP and kept misplacing her steps and coming off the track – probably not the safest thing to do on this track, but hilarious nonetheless.
After my bounce on the beach we parked cacheMobile#2 on a suburban street for some strange reason. I was abandoned for hours and hours; the slaves must have gotten hopelessly lost as I was yelling and yelling and it took them forever to come back. We eventually made it home, where I did my best to deposit any beach sand I still had hidden in my fur all over the house in punishment (and just because it’s fun).
What a great cache! How fun! What great walking and fantastic views!!

Even at 6:30pm as the sun was dippying down for the evening, it was just lovely. Took cutlery pack, left bouncy mouse thing and cookie eraser. SL.

Just the same, a sensational ocean cliff cache - my favourite! Thanks Piggies.

Hey, did you know that the sun is very warm at about 7.30am??
Tried to take the bike but found myself sliding down the very steep bank on more than one occasion. I would suggest leaving the bike at home and walking instead.
Found cache fairly quickly. Took nothing, left water ball.
Thanks CPs

Maybe we should mention that you can take your bike to this area if you want to go 'extreme' cycling. Saw quite a few keen fellows riding in this area. Maybe you have to be young and silly?
I've been meaning to do this walk for many years. Thank you Cheesy Pigs for finally getting me to this area! The views today were stunning - the sun was shining and the water looked so clear that I was tempted to go for a swim! Unfortunately, I'm suffering from the killer cold/cough at the moment and it was all I could do to get up the hills without hacking up a lung! Took geocaching Australia sticker and left lip balm. Thanks, CPs!
