Looks like this has gone. Spent a good while looking in all the holes and thru all the nasty gorse plant there.
Surely, the cache has vanished and owner should respond and maintain. But thanks for the diversion during a cycle tour. With a police background, I was especially interested in the history.
Kids were quite fascinated by this story. Cache found but quite wet. Had to use my vivid to write in the logbook as it was so damp!
A quick find while on my way back to Greymouth. Logbook was sodden resorted to leaving a calling card to say I found it. An interesting memorial to say the least. TFTC

Found and dropped off Policeman TB. Not a police station but the scene of a crime for him to check out.
After nice surfing we had a little time left and used it for some caching.

I biked the 15.4k return trip from my house with nephew #2 and non geocachng sister. (Glad when we saw it coming up.) Really easy find - went straight and got it. The log book is really wet and only has about 2pages left, couldnt sign it with the pencil but I had a pen with me TOOK - Bike Spoke Reflector LEFT - Balloon and String.

Since this was one of the more historical motivated caches, it's quite natural that Miss-Moneypenny doesn't remember it too well, allthough usually she remembers the caches much better than I do. But it was usually me who read signs and plaques, while it was Miss-Moneypenny's job to take pictures of the scenery .
The cache was easily found.
