Logs
Had a quick look but decided to abandon fairly quickly, as we looked at the previous logs.
Had a good search....even in the gorse bush. Not sure if the now fallen over tree in the attached pic is the very big bush mentioned in the clue.
Thanks to the hint, thought we had it sussed but couldn't find anything! There was a tree down in the area, hopefully that didn't make things harder. Only had my phone on me, GPS was almost useless. Will have to return with the Garmin to try to make sure we are looking in the right spot!!
In Richmond for a wee family holiday. Mr TG grew up here; staying with family.
Another hot day in the offing so we headed out early to Rabbit Island....the boys were keen for a swim....and Mr & Mrs TG for a run (independently!). Drove up to the beach front and as far left as possible....and whilst the boys and I headed for the beach for a swim (we were early enough to pretty much have the place to ourselves!) and play Mrs TG headed left for a run....
Using a garmin gps. Found the 'V'...found the bush...but didn't find a cache.

Found with NZDi. While all and sundry are in Christchurch at the NZ Mega Event, NZDi and I are having a little geocaching weekend of our own. Yesterday we travelled the length of the Awatere Valley up as far as the Molesworth Cobb Cottage and picked up all the caches we didn't already have with the exception of three of GH6710's caches up the Mt Altimarloch Road for NZDi. We even managed to score a F T F up the Medway which must 'annoy' Marchwood as he was up there the day before when it was listed.
Today we came over with our MTBs and rode around Rabbit Island picking off caches here and there with mixed success. Arriving at GZ I quickly found the hinted item which has seen better days, but after hunting for five minutes or so could not come up with the cache. Enter eagle-eye NZDi and the cache was found in seconds...' You had a Dave look, didn't you'.

Found this one easily enough on a biking trip round rabbit island. There was no pen so here's a photo of the log so you know I was really here
A caching trip to Nelson for the Seagnoid and I, G H 6 7 1 0 has a splitting........wood job to do for a friend so had to call off late yesterday. tS and I decided that caching Rabbit Island by bicycle, culminating in the event later in the day would be just the job. Due to a few big days this week I didn't get round to sorting out 2 M T Bs for us so I had to borrow one from work and t S had to use his road bike, skinny tyres and all.
A nice day weather wise with the sun shining proudly and nary a wisp of wind, almost perfect caching weather and after 6 hours cycling we'd found quite a few of Rabbit Island's caches, yay
A nice old cache, 10 year birthday later this year, and one of my missing hidden months too. Nice and easy as we both slowly circled the prickly bush at G Z but cache not near that.
T F T C usakiwi, another of yours for the total

[green] There is an event on at Rabbit Island, so Capperz and I thought this is a good opportunity to cache out the island. Couldn't quite do it, but got pretty close. Our start time got delayed as there was a hiccup with bicycles. I ended up having to use my road bike, skinny tyres and all. Wasn't a problem most of the way, but it sure was for some parts!

And this is the bit that was so hard. Some of this path was soft sand, Hard going for a mountain bike, really hard going on my road bike. Found a large obvious hint item at GZery dubious and extremely unfriendly. Looked around and under it with some care! But not there. Eventually found it, but not at something I would say really matches the hint.

A very pleasant bike ride to here. The nearby wattle trees are in full flower so we ended up being covered by yellow pollen. Luckily no bee stings as I heard a few buzzing around. A quick find for StreetWalker while I was still walking the last few metres to GZ. TFTC.
#8059. Took a bit of trial and error to find out how to get to GZ; once there the cache was easily spotted. Like the two flags on the inner cache container; nice way to identify the CO! TFTC.
Team geopopNZ assault on the back end of the rabbit. A wonderful Nelson day, great fun on the bikes, and caching to add to the exciting mix. Thanks for your cache - we've had a wonderful day. There's lots more - so we'll be back for more fun on the rabbit!!
We came on bikes with weter1 to turn Rabbit Island into smilies. This one was quite quickly spotted.

Totally uncovered so rather easy to find. Left it as it should be, a little less obvious. http://www.geocaching.com/images/icons/icon_smile_cool.gif
Totally awesome day ! We started the day at Mapua Wharf were we met the lovely Capt Andrew who rented us mountain bikes and took us over to Rabbit on the ferry. We have been on the island for the last few days but walking we were getting nowherevery very fast. This wasnt the case today, we were on the island by 10:10 and this was our first cache of the day. Found the cache quickly and on to the next cache. Thanks for the bringing us to this great place.
Out enjoying a bike ride. The tracks around here have certainly been upgraded a lot recently. Found using the clue. Good one, thanks.

On Rabbit Island for day 2 of the National MTB Orienteering Champs. The event centre was down this end of the Island, so after the race I jumped on the bike again to find as many of the nearby caches as I could before I had to drive out before the gate was locked. Cache quickly located thanks to the hint. TFTC.

Makka pakka 2 went out to day for a ride along Rabbit island, the fairy to Mapua and to have an ice-cream.TFTC
Couldn't find after a shot-ish look, we thought we were looking in the right place.
After a bit of a search, and fathomed out the difference between a bush and a tree were we found it.
A beautiful Sunday and time for a Rabbit Island bike ride and caching day. The old tortoise made the find and out witted the hare. TFTC
A quick find during a bike ride along the coast here early this evening. I was running out of time so this was the last cache I was able to find on Rabbit Island for the day. Signed log, TFTC
Out with Mrs BaldEd cyclocaching Rabbit Island. 3rd find. Nice easy find as the cache was in full view, once one was in the right spot. Thanks for the cache.
Got it in the end, though I did approach it from the wrong side. Had to back track and found the easy approach. TFTC
Had to do a bit of circling to work out where I should be looking, but after a brief search it popped up out of nowhere!

Either we're being followed or unknowingly follow... Some suspect activity was noted on the island though. What a beauty day for caching. Went out with Holymu to cross a few of our list. Does the full moon have an effect on GPS? Noted for the second time when the moon is full that the readings are jumpy. Trust us to take the wrong approach. All good in the end and log signed. TFTC
A quiet walk to this end of the island for the first time. It's been said so many times before how this sport takes us to places we otherwise wouldn't have gone to. Thank you for bringing us here. TFTC.
Cache had rolled down the hill a little so we popped it back next to the tree.
Walking in the rain, just a walking in the rain...and did a bit if caching along the way. TFTC
Quick find while cycling along the new cycle track. No time to catch the ferry to Mapua today.TFTC
6720 Last one for us hare, on this end of Rabbit Island, enjoyed our excursion… will tackle the other point later in the week, TFTC.
Found on a 7.5km walk on the island. Short search to find it - right where the hint suggested. SL TFTC
While junior members went swimming old fossil grabbed the bike and soon had cache in hand .Thanks u.s.akiwi
a day at the beach for team b&w....worker home base not far away, worked in well.
My last find on the Island this afternoon. A most enjoyable way to spend the day. The Weather was just perfect, not too hot and not too cold. Altough It looked like had been raining all day up on the Takaka Hill. TNLN SL TFTC
Took a little while to find as GPS not good around trees, left and Took a TB

Co-ordinates took us directly to the cache. thanks taking us on a great stroll along the beach. We couldnt have picked a better day and the sea was like a millpond .

Enjoyed the walk in the winter sun (hot enough to take jumpers off) the sea was lovely and calm and sparkling !!! found the cache and Stretch0 dropped in a geocoin and Travelbug and uplifted the travelbug that was there - thank you for the cache and getting me off my bum on my day off
A great one to ride your bike to on a good day. Found a bit of water in the bottom of the container
but hasn't appeared to have damaged anything, just cleaned out as best as i could and resealed.

Spent our last day in New Zealand walking on the beach at Rabbit Island. Certainly our best weather day, beautiful sunshine, clear sky and cool breeze. FTSNL (First to sign new log). Fond memories of the island. Thanks
Found, as per previous log was wet from someone placing a sticky lolly that has melted all through it. I have replaced the plastic bag for you aand tidied as much as possible but think the logbook will need to be replaced. A nice walk however on a super hot day.
Found this one on a beautiful day out at Rabbit Island and not long before an unexpected skinny dip swim to nearby Island of the Tide cache! Everything was pretty wet, so have dried everything out, replaced zip lock bags and re-hidden with a bit more "thatched roof" cover from the rain. Log book was only a teensy bit damp so is still perfectly useable. TNLN. TFTC.
