Dropped in today- as per previous cachers couldn't see an ammo can (or any other container) anywhere in the area at GZ which is pretty bare now. No update from CO since last reported.
No luck for us today, pity I hadn't read the other dnf prior to driving out needs checking. Beautiful spot though enjoyed looking around
We had read about this bridge in a Boddington tourist brochure so decided to go and have a look and hopefully do the loop walk. We were unhappy to see the state of the bridge now...it seems to be a very sad indictment of the human race. As it is only burnt through in the middle of the bridge over the river and not at either end we guess it was deliberately lit...and these people walk among us every day
The recent fire at GZ looks to have been quite intense......all ground cover has now completely gone and we couldn't see anywhere that an ammo box could now be hiding. Nature is taking it's course and the small black stumps of the grass trees are sprouting new shoots again so the area will no doubt recover in time.
On checking out the walk we could barely make out the start of the trail and couldn't see any obvious trail in the distance so we guess it is hardly ever used anymore
Interesting to see the pump station for the gold mine on the opposite side of the river, and as we boiled the billy for a cuppa we listened to the constant distant rumbling of what was probably the diggers and dump trucks at the mine site. Human endeavour in progress!
Many thanks TEAM LANDCRUISER for bringing us to this historic site. [^]

Have heard from locals that it has been taken will try to get out there and check for myself when I get a chance .
This area has just been burnt out by a bushfire. Two of us had a good look around for cache but nothing sighted. Sorry!
I have read other logs and they range from co-ords spot on to 10m out.......you will definetely have to check on this one.
We searched where our GZ took us and out further......as first I said should be archived but now think it should be checked by you or previous finder if they live close by in case I missed it.

Out trekking with Chwiliwr for the day, rain made it difficult to get a GZ but found the second time around.
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
Out for a drive with Gwiber and was in the area again. There was a couple of road closures the other day when we were in the area and I couldn't see my way around them so kept on driving. Today I knew the way in and there were no problems finding the correct roads. The trouble was that the rain caught up with us as we arrived near GZ so it was a wet search and find. GPS wasn't playing ball but we eventually found the cache in a spot that had already been looked at but not that well because of the heavy rain at the time.
Thanks TEAM LANDCRUISER for the cache.

Found the cache early this morning so cold our geokid decided to stay in the car. It is really sad that the bridge has been damaged by fire, would have been great to walk over, however it was pretty cool. Always great to discover spots out of the way that you wouldn't ordinarily.
Nice drive in the rain. Got wet but it was worth it. Its a pity the bridge got burned down.
Cool hide, great spot shame the bridge has been burnt
We are hoping the train will some day be travelling into Boddington again, it would be an awsome day trip! !
Thanks for brining us to this little piece of history...[:-D]

Wow - this is biting insect heaven!! Some friends from the West Australian Family Bushwalking Club visited this one the night before, while we were all camping at Boddington. They complained about the mossies but I assumed that was because they visited very late in the afternoon. However, the mossies don't rest here - even at midday - and then they are joined by a million flys! Anyway the fire damaged bridge made for an interesting if sad sight, but we were glad to be out from this cache!
Left pencils and a yoyo and took a wombat toy and 50+ mozzie bites. Beautiful spot
Glad we made the effort to find this place. Eerie feeling standing on bridge. Glad we came in at the cache end, don't fancy walking across this bridge! Thanks Team Landcruiser, we never would have stumbled upon this place without a cache here.
Getting to the car park was an epic adventure that I should have planned better. Finding the cache one there was easy. Following the official walk trail was really difficult (and mostly pointless)

This cache is well worth the effort to get to and fantastic views on the drive in. Cache is in good condition.
We had a few probs with the GPS, but when we got the signals in the spaces between the cloudcover and the canopy sorted we managed to locate the GC,
well hidden & safe from muggles etc. great spot, pity the bridge is a bit the worse for wear.
GC in good condition.

An interesting drive and location. What a shame to see the old bridge damaged in such a way. thanks TEAM LANDCRUISER
Such a sad sight to see this beautiful bridge burnt down. This was our first hunt but after a few false starts we finally found it. T nothing, L Dice and Cigar (for the still smoking bridge) TFTH
Thanks for the find. Had to use a friends GPS as ours wants to take us to Whoop Whoop. Had wrong settings Ha Ha.
What a pitty about the bridge still smoking. Some people just don't care about history.
T. Elton John CD.
L Glow in the dark thing.

Found on the way home from a 12 hour rogaine in Quindanning. Interesting to see this massive construction and the twin rail tracks - presumably to allow 2 different sized trucks/engines to share the line. Impressive collection of swaps here. Took water pistol, left jewellery pendant. TFTHSL
Cache was a few metres from our GZ but within the tolerance. To cut short the search I went back to the car to de-cipher the clue but Lady Ultravet found it in the meantime. Can we suggest that this clue either be removed or made more concise and relevant. It takes a long time to de-code, out in the bush ,and is very little help in narrowing down the location Thanks, UltraVets.

What a great little spot. I've been coming to Boddington for the last 20 or so years and never knew this spot existed. Thanks for bringing me here!
Took a mate and I about 15 mins to find.
T - Gimme a Hand Travel Bug
L - Taz (and my mate left a condom. He's crazy!)

A really interesting spot which we had no idea at all exsisted - thanks geocaching & TLC for bringing us here. We'll have to return and do the loop walk when we have more time. Was impressed to see the rail line still down, I enjoyed the walk across the bridge.
A bit of a hunt for the cache, TNLNSL. Thanks for the hunt.

An easy find after failing to recognise where to park at another cache (of my own ) much closer to Perth. An easy find, with the coords being quite accurate (especially for an old Gps II+). There were workmen on the parking side of the river (west?) but I was able to park and walk across the bridge without problem. It is very peaceful here - thanks to Mike and Therese for the cache. T:Vc, LN, SL.
Wow, this one hasn't been found for a long time... I was doing a mountain bike race just up the road, and dropped in here before heading home. Took me a while to find it, and the mozzies were very friendly today. Cache is in good condition, TNLN, T4TH
Nice little area, come in from Soldiers Rd so had to walk across the bridge, then Aushikers log made sense as I saw the parking area on the other side and Morts Rd. Bugga, could have saved myself 15Km backtracking if only I'd gone through town and down Farmers Rd instead
Found cache after 5 minutes, missed it by 'that' much on the first sweep of GZ while waiting for the GPS to settle. TFTH

Took a 90 min drive out to the vicinity after failing to find the cache 4 weeks ago. (did not log a dnf through embarrasment after searching for nearly an hour)
Got out there today and found it within 5 mins.
Really weird eh?
Lovely spot and lovely countryside all around on the drive up there.
Took the little plastic man for the granddaughter and left a couple of music cd's and a calling card.
Thanks TLC

Found after a quick drive to the area, at first we could not locate the cache so after 20-30 mins I went back to the car for the paperwork, decided to put the co-ords in manually and it took us straight to the cache, must be something to do with those things in the sky talking to my gps.
Aushiker was FTF, I have the FTF card that Andrew should have taken, will contact Andrew via email to get the card to him.
T GeoCoin (my very first coin)
L Wombat & magnetic calling card.

Found the cache at 1:50 PM. Was an easy find once I worked out where ground zero was! My directory is very light on in this area, so a bit of backtracking took place before I got here. Ended up coming in from the south so only a 50 metre walk for me.
Took the opportunity to explore the other side of the river once I found the cache. Took the stubby holder and left a flash light and 2005 Geocoin.
Thanks Team Landcruiser for bringing me to this interesting spot in the middle of "nowhere".
