Just wondering if it is still worth a visit to GZ for the location - accept GC may not be active due to fires.
3 years after having a frown here I am able to place a instead. I note that cache was replaced straight after my last visit...thank you CO.
Today is fine & sunny, and cicadas are singing. Have allowed the damp logs to dry a bit too.

Nice quick find during a quick trip around the area.
Log was a little soggy so added a new piece of paper and put new/old in a ziplock.
Found with LaurenKatelyn and palm23011975

Found and left with a sticky situation. Took a figurine and left a plastic leaf. Log is rather soggy lol
Completed this one with [@AngusnmumyAdventures](http://coord.info/PRRD6GG) . In the small town of Batlow, another of those in the Snow region, an area of the big Apple. If you eat lots of apples there is a chance it will be from here, they even have the Batlow Apple Blossom Festival to celebrate this.
As for the Water wheel they come is various sizes this is one of the small ones, but is you go overseas you can see them so large, they sit on the side of building to pump the water around, over around Griffith they are still used on some farms for their channels today.
They cache does need a new log book, as it is extremely wet, sorry we did not have another one for here. Deployed the crew, found it, tagged it, replaced it, on our way, now logged it.
Thanks for bring us here TEAM DENMAR to another little park in the Snowy region, Lil Donna & Co

Tumut - Canberra invasion. Collecting a few more smileys in the area before I have to turn around and head home. TFTC.
This is the beginning of our Tumut Invasion with teams coming from Canberra and Goulburn. I teamed up with Albida for a run into possible 4WD territory to give friendly but often impatient muggle Pa, the day off. Our aim was to pick up as many caches as possible that were unloved down on the western shores of the Blowering Dam as well as some on the way to and from that area.
It was a very interesting day with challenges that included masses of blackberries; washed out tracks; muddy slippery tracks; trees across the tracks; water in containers; soggy logs and missing caches. On the positive side, we did find and sign some unloved caches; we saw absolutely gorgeous autumn colours; we had a ball slipping and sliding; we came out alive; we saw masses of yellow tailed black cockatoos; we discovered some great camping areas and the views were stunning.
A huge thanks to Albida for his company, good humour and great driving.
This cache was one that we did manage to find, so I signed the log and returned the cache to its hidey hole. TNLN

We picked tumut for our Australia day weekend trip as there were quite a few available cachesto do, that was before the weather decided to intervene and slowed our plans up considerably. Finding water or shade become nearly as big a priority as caching. This was our meeting spot for our muggle son and daughter in law, who were joining us for a touring caching day. As per usual they sat by shaking their heads and rolling eyes as we found our cache. Tftc
Looks like I am not the only one caching in Batlow today. This is in the park right behind where we are staying so strolled Fien earlier in the day to have someone sitting resolutely in the car park (and not going anywhere). Came back down after dinner and quickly found the cache. Amazing that there was an Olympic pool here in the day, but disappointing no interpd on the wheel - just sitting in a cage. TFTC Team denmar
Cool little spot. Found on my 4 day expodition/camping trip with the Kyintwins.
Found it! It’s no longer a film canister, but a small cache the size of a jar. Added two little toys for the kids.
We arrived to stay at Batlow House 200m away from this cache last night. This morning the geoboy asked if we could go and look for the cache. He normally doesn’t want to go caching so I wasn’t about to say no. It’s a brisk morning around 3 degrees and there is frost on the ground. We wandered down through the gate at the back of the house, past the water wheel and had a look around and read the sign. Then we headed to GZ where the geoboy made a quick find. Thanks for the cache
#7958 - 12:10; I was headed down to Melbourne to visit the geoaunt in hospital and catch up with the geostudent while I was there. Being in no hurry and seeking to avoid some of the boredom of the highway, I decided that today would be a good opportunity to take a detour and collect a few caches along the way. The route took me along the Snowy Mountains Highway through Adelong to Tumut, then south through Batlow and on to Tumbarumba before heading back for the Hume Highway and Melbourne. I had visited Tumut and after a bit of back tracking, I was now headed south and closing in on Batlow. Stopped off to grab this cache on the way past and enjoyed a quick find. TFTC TEAM DENMAR
TFTC. Was a little exposed. Have covered over a little. Also bigger than a film container! Maybe it got wet and expanded?? Haha.
Out and about to head Tumba for a b'day party, we found some really good caches today, it was a awesome day to be out as a cachers, in country side not seen for so long it was mostly forgotten
thanx to all cache placers for making the day what it was , awesome
cheers from the Routers

Found on our way home from camping at the dam - thanks for adding a bit of excitement to our ice cream stop
Found on a weekend in Adelong.
Cool spot. We first visited Batlow about 6 years ago because we were thinking about buying Batlow House. Didn't end up buying it for various reasons but we liked the town. Great spot to bring people to. What a shame the Reedy Creek swimming pool is no longer here! FP for location.

After some way too busy days/weeks at work it was time to get out and about regardless of the weather and blow some caching cobwebs away.
So Rapidlywild and I headed off to Tumut and Batlow to clean up some new caches there and try and get ones that we had previously DNF'ed.
Lots of laughs today and some very hairy moments. But had a successful day out and about.
Nice little park here and a nice quick find as the rain started again.
TFTC TEAM DENMAR and thanks to Rapidlywild for another great day.

It had been a while since myself and the FurfacesLL ladies had got out and about caching and with the busy weeks we have had, it was time for a break and a reset moment. We decided on a day trip out to Tumut and Batlow to pick up some newer caches, revenge some DNF's and visit a new area (for me anyway) We had a blast of a day with MANY adventures on a very wet and slippery day, found a nice number of caches, unfortunately some logs were quite wet so we scribbled on them the best we could. Apologies for the generic logs.
Cool little park nice easy cache find here.
Thanks heaps to FurfacesLL for another awesome day away, thanks TEAM DENMAR for the cache placement [^]

We definitely weren't stumped on this one. The babbling brook nearby added atmosphere to the cache's green location. Tftc
I'm at the Batlow Ciderfest so ducked down here for the cache. I'm glad there was a pencil as I forgot to bring one with me. Thanks for the cache.
Found it Jennifer 55 with husband, quick little cache while at the cider festival
Found after dropping my Brother-In-Law in Batlow. He was riding to Tumut, I was geocaching to Tumut!
Cheers

Nice easy findon way home from distarous stay at local dive ( Wakehurst hostel, sorry Batlow you need to demolish that dive).

Found it in a lovely little park with the beautiful Reedy Creek running through it.
replaced cache ready to find again..perhaps the rough weather we have had blew old one away regards team denmar
Searched for this on a cold, wet day for a Back to Batlow weekend for the family clan. Fairly sure I had the right hide, and even found a possible cache - some sort of folded dark material item, but it was jammed in the tree & would not come out. Pretty little park, though,
Reedy Creek was flowing really well with all the rain

This is a lovely area to explore in autumn, and we're enjoying picking up a few caches as we go. A bit slow today as we have the geo-grandson with us, but he loves looking thru the containers to see what he can find. Unfortunately nothing suitable for a 1 year old here today, but he loves toddling around the park.

What a great little park. The cache is not hard to find. Thanks TEAM DENMAR for placing the cache.
Day eleven of our High Country holiday. Travelling from Tumut to Tumbarumba with Bettyboo3747.
Hit the occasional cache on the way, and the Bears for lunch.
Very unimpressed with the water wheel, but the information on the Olympic swimming pool was fascinating!
I think you need to rename this cache
Thanks, Robmc.

# 10020. A travelling day today as we leave Tumut and head to Tumbarumba via Batlow. Stopped at several caches along the way, many having interesting historical value - something I like about a cache. Started off by finding a cache that hasn't been found since 1st August 2013 - gotta love that!
I was expecting a big water wheel not a baby one. However, the history of the Reedy Creek Olympic-sized swimming pool was fascinating. Some mention on the cache page would have been a nice idea. It is hard to imagine that a train ran from Tumut to here, and that swimming carnivals were held with people coming from Wagga and other large towns. Great photos, especially of the pool surrounded by snow.
Unfortunately, your log sheet has been discovered by mindless idiots who have left their drawings and unsavoury comments scrawled all over it. Time for a CO maintenance check-up here. Size needs to be updated as this is a small container and not the film cannister, as mentioned in the notes.
Thanks TEAM DENMAR

This was the last for the day on a really interesting drive on the back roads from Canberra to Batlow. It's an amazing part of the world here, and very very pretty.
Thanks for the cache TD.

A lovely way of entering Batlow. A pretty park if not a bit wet. Found fairly quickly.
As it was going to be a lovely day, we decided to head for the hills to pick up a few caches.
Another lovely spot, to take a break.
Cache was found quickly, as we could see it from the path.
Signed the log, and replaced out of sight.
Many thanks for placing this cache, TEAM DENMAR, for us and others to find.

Nice easy find for the first outing with the Garmin etrex as opposed to my iphone. Looking forward to many more!
Found while in Batlow. Thanks for the history lesson. I have been here a lot of times and didn't know there was a swimming pool here in the past. My uncle said her remembers the pool. Thanks for the cache .Cheers
This one had us puzzled for a while but geo hubby soon had it sorted. Thanks for the opportunity to stop by this lovely little park. TFTC
Found it quickly. What a great spot to sit and eat my apple pie I just bought up the road.

With the rain starting to come down & the temps dropping, I was hoping for a quick P & G. Eventually geohubby had to come to my rescue. SL TFTC
It's not much of a water wheel, but the story about the swimming pool is interesting. Had to stop in Batlow as a friend comes from here.
We were up early to do the run from Tumut to Batlow, Tumbarumba along Elliot Way to Yarrangobilly (for a swim and cache) then on to Talbingo and back to Tumut. It was wet and misty at the start of the day but fined up nicely and we had a great day of exploring and visiting areas we have not been to before. We enjoyed doing your cache. Thanks to TEAM DENMAR for placing this cache.
This was a little tricky even when knowing to look. A nice bit of history too. TFTC.
