Aftr worryin its still be a blue face it were right where we parked tha. Sometimes X dont quite mark tha spot!
As others mentioned, a bit further away from the stairs as suggested by the coordinates. Nice scenic location.
The co ordinates were showing the cache to be to the left of the stairs. After looking at past logs we decided to walk the opposite way and came up with the goods
Yesterday was so warm and sunny and today, well its been completely the opposite. Its rained most of the day, so I did a bit of shopping and then just lounged around watching movies for the rest of the day. Then late this afternoon, when there was a break in the weather, I went for a drive to find a cache, in the final LGA on mainland Tassie, for me to complete a challenge.I got to see a beautiful on my way to GZ, possibly finding the cache was the treasure at the end of that rainbow TFTC polfilKeep smiling
Found with McAdies and Jelly_Bean14.We are on holidays in Tasmania. What a great spot and thanks for placing a cache here for us to find.
Found with McAdies and Geo_Eddie.I am having a great time visiting Tasmania.Thank you for placing this geocache for us to find today!
Found on our Trip to Tasmania. What a beautiful spot here. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find today. It was a bit further from the stairs than the coordinates suggested but we got it in the end.
Have driven by here several times and wondered what was at the top of the stairs. Finally stopped today for a look and found this one while doing the earth cache as well. Interesting place and history. Thanks polfil
My clever cookie 4 year old found this one.. not where you are lead to believe it is…
Found same day as HunnyBunny , hint very helpful, bit higher depending on person. J C& Simon
It is a little out from where I thought but follow everyone else's instructions and you will find it.
In the area for the Earthcache and a nice old Trad too. Easy find here in the only place it could be really.
Day 3 in Hobart area and a trip to the South East of the coast nearby was the plan. We covered a few more kms, saw some more cool stuff including a platypus in it's natural environment and a few more caches were found.
We had a weeks holiday booked in Tasmania as a way of celebrating mrs capperz's 60th birthday. What can I say but WOW. What an awesome state and was everything we'd seen and heard about this gem of a place. My main PQ had only Earthcaches and Virtuals and aside from an old cache for my missing month stats I only turned the GPS on when we were stopping somewhere anyway, what a great way to tour a place. Managed one complete set of Ad Labs at the airport, and started another 6 adventures with no intention to complete. Over 50 'real' caches were completed and left behind a couple of trackables to continue their journeys.
I will upload the associated pictures and answers over the next few days or so, need to start to make a dent in my finds backlog.
Oh, and thanks to all COs for their hides, much appreciated for this New Zealander.

Thanks susihin

Glad I stopped to look for this one, as it was on ground open and spread out, log was sodden, message sent to CO to check if replaced in correct spot TFTC
Today Zozetta and I cached in the Brighton area, with a total of twenty three finds and one DNF.
We started off walking the riverside trail collecting the Derwent views series and one other cache then went up to Brighton and then drove up past Broadmarsh to attempt the highland series before coming back to Brighton to grab a couple of solved puzzles and a few of the Brighton series before grabbing an Earthcache on the way back home.
We started to run out of time towards the end of the day and so targeted caches with higher difficulty ratings than others (probably not the best idea when you’re short on time!) However we managed to find both of them, along with an Earthcache and another traditional.
This took a little longer than it should have to find. We didn’t use the gpsr thinking it would be pretty easy, but we couldn’t find the cache. We were about to give up when the cache was spotted.
Thanks for the cache polfil!

What an interesting spot! I have admired these cliff faces whenever I have travelled this section of highway so was great to actually stop and read the info board and admire the impressive rock structure. Made a quick find. The outer plastic bag has been nibbled but inside contents revealed a lovely new cache container and log book. The coordinates were about 20 metres out but replaced as found. TFTC and making me stop here polfil.
Coming back from Bonolong Wildlife Sanctuary, quick stop along way to get my fix. Cache was out in the open, placed it back in where I believe it should have been sitting. Thanks for getting us to stop
What an awesome spot! As per bluewren I went a fair way further south than where GpS was sending me for an easy spot! Left some hand sanny for future use
As the lockdown lifted we headed out for some long awaited caching.
Collected the information for the nearby EC and then BM made the find on this one.
Thank you for hiding

Upon reading the cache is still there i made it my challenge to find this one no matter what it takes as i didn't want it to become a Nemesis Cache
I was looking in the obvious area again but was still not finding it so i widened the search a bit further south and eventually came up trumps
My smartphones simple GPS had me 17m north so that would explain my lack of luck in previous searches.
I love "Old Gentleman" Caches and this one is in an awesome geological area
I just needed to look a little harder with this one and I'm glad i did coz it's now a Yellow Smiley face on my map to go with the EarthCache here

After a good search here i wasn't able to spot the hide. With all the rain recently this one {if it's mint tin sized, or less} may have washed away so i looked all around on the ground aswell to be sure.
The site is fascinating and there is ample parking too [^]
TFT Challenge anyways, polfil

It is time, after two DNF, to check if the cache is gone. Tomorrow it is good time to do this.
Searched for a while and finally got it after expanding further from listed GZ. TFTC
We’re very disappointed that some geocacher, left geocache box out of hidden place! Please be more careful when placing cache back in the spot! That road is very busy and every driver could see that box very easy, like we did. Thanks!!!
Well this was an experience, did not expect to find a decent sized sex toy.
Apart from that it was a quick find for this oldie
Today I decided to head down to Hobart for the day and collect some targeted DT caches and some others in amongst them for the day, apart from the 30mins of rain the day was quite pleasant for caching.
All up 49 finds and 10 adventure finds.
Thanks for the cache

T-Tech and I are down from Brisbane for a meandering holiday around Tasmania. We flew to Melbourne where we picked up the campervan and spent a day caching there, then took Spirit of Tasmania I to Devonport. Tick that one off the bucket list!
Today we are travelling from New Norfolk towards Hobart. T-Tech noticed the Earthcache nearby so we called by to grab it and this cache as well. The sign was an interesting read, and then we wandered to GZ where I made a quick find. TFTC, polfil.

We did check GPS Accuracy ( 10 times) and every time accuracies were 3 METERS, it is true. We don’t know what to do, maybe our hand hold GPS is faulty or very good quality? Please be patience. Hiding spot of cache is very easy to spot! Good luck! Have fun.
Tasmania Day 6: Queenstown - Lake St Clair - Mt Field - Hobart
We made the journey from the West Coast of Tasmania back to Hobart today, which was a very long drive, but brought us some fabulous views and a diversity of trails and waterfalls. The views from Lake St Clair were awesome, along with some of the best waterfalls in Tasmania (Russell Falls is definitely an excellent waterfall). We started off at 9 am and reach Hobart at almost 9 pm, so it really was a grand finale to our Tasmania road trip.
This is the specific log for this cache:
Was lured here by the name, but there were no dinosaurs to be found... but interesting geological history nonetheless. This took a while because of the poor coordinates, jumpy signals due to the cliff and the multitude of possible crevices. However, a photo revealed the right cache size, and the narrowed down the possibilities, which led to a find. TFTC!

Day 4 of my trip from Adelaide to Tasmania to visit family and friends and to do some geocaching.
After finding some caches at the Domain first up this morning, I headed over the river to do the Natone Hill puzzle series, find another puzzle at Risdon Cove, then ‘just up the road’ to this cache and the nearby earthcache.
I couldn’t find anything at GZ, so broadened my search area. Eventually the cache was spotted safely tucked away, consistent with the hint but around 17 metres south of the listed coordinates!!
Thanks polfil for the cache.

Great our enjoyed journey in Hobart, we stayed for 5 nights. Found your cache today. polfil, thank you so much for placing it.
TFTC,
The GPS wasn't kind today. First one way and then the other before presenting me with this great location. An additional reason for being here is to make the next cache my 8,000th find and add another cache type to the list of types on my milestones. This find is 7999, adding a favourite.
I am trying for a different sort of challenge at present that requires you to do a different type of cache on every consecutive day for 31 days. This is day 11 and yesterday was a Virtual. Today we have completed traditional, Multi, EarthCache and puzzle varieties.
swapped a trackable and Visited the rest I had with me.

We searched high and low at Ground Zero and found nothing, we moved out a little bit further and still nothing. Did it again and nothing. We were about to leave, when Mr G spotted something worth looking at and bingo cache was in hand. However it was 14m away from GZ. Sheer luck we found it, dropped TB and fav point allocated due to making us search hard.
Thanks Polfil

Found with Mtrax on our mini Tassie holiday! Today we drove back to Hobart from Launceston... Once again, the rain held off, and the sun was shining! Mind you, it was very windy! But that was OK. This was a nice cache find along the way - thanks PF.
This cache was just a bonus seeing as how I really was in the area for the EC. The fact that it was fairly old was another pleasant surprise. After a bit of toing and froing I found the hide, did the duties and replaced the cache ready for the next finder. Thanks for placing and maintaining this old cache.
Today we are in the area from Old Beach.
Here we wanted to catch some smilies on our map.
This cache was after a while searching found and signed.
We had 14 meters off.
Thank you and greetings from Germany send Moorhelmi

Thanks for the cache polfil. Gee, how many times have I driven past here/stopped here - but never time to stop and look for the cache. Today, there was time to grab a few and this one was a nice quick find. All is good at GZ. Cheers.
