Found first cache easy peasy but there was no hope in hell of reading any numbers to guide us to wp2. Was really disapointed as we were looking forward to completing it and had even found a xmas swap in another cache in launnie to leave here :'(
Found the first container, however it has rusted a little preventing being able to read the coordinates!
First cache was nice and easy- accessible with parking off the highway. The second was in an awkward spot for fast highway traffic and left us covered in scratches foraging through thorns and blackberry bushes. Definately recommend long pants and shirt if you're as committed to finding it as we were.
This was the second time we grabbed the co-ordinates from WP1. The first time we were heading south, so backtracking wasn't really an option. This time we thought we had the time to backtrack, so off we went, and parked in the "safest" area possible. I started to walk the 300 metres or so back to WP1 with geoniece, but I called it off, as I felt it was too unsafe to be walking on a busy highway, with trucks hurtling around a bend with a six year old. I started to think I must have misread the co-ords, because it seems like a very strange place to have a cache, but after reading a few of these logs tonight, seems like we had the right place.
The concept sounds great, but it's likely I'll not ever bother getting this one unless the highway is freakishly quiet.

Joined the annual pre Christmas trip from Launceston to Devonport and called in to Raspberry Farm for brunch. Encouraged family members to enjoy some geocaching. Found WP1 but coords for WP2 were hard to decipher - took a a guess but couldn't find WP2. We did find a rabbit behind one dead bush - who was just as surprised as we were. All was not lost as we enjoyed tasting local produce.
Found this cache during a road trip with Old Saint to find the Octogon Series in Port Sorell. We successfully found all 14 Octogon caches and another 14 or so as a bonus. It was a great and long day from Hobart, leaving at 7am and returning at 10pm.
My second visit to the GZ. First time it was wet and I did not feel like searching under wet bushes. Also the most likely place for the cache was searched with no sucess.
This time, with Oldsaint chearing me on from the road, I found the cache easily as the bush that it is hidden in has died and therefore the cache is easy to see. The cache is a bit dirty inside and I believe that it is leaking water, but is not wet at the moment.
Can I suggest that a cache container swap over is required, and maybe a change in locations if the plant is going to die off permanently.
Thank you for the cache

Hi Teams Tiges
Found WP1 quickly today after not finding some time ago - like two or three years.
Wiped the numbers so they could be read and wrote down the co-ords for WP2.
Drove to the establishment and let Anne get coffee while I went off to ground zero.
The cache was found very quickly, I just didn't like getting wet feet in the long grass. Thought I was going to be in a bit of pain retrieving the cache box, but not so. Easily extracted signing the log at 1126hrs.
Took a few nice photos.
TFTC and cheers;
OldSaint.

As with previous log, WP1 found after a quick search but we were unable to find cache at WP2. Trip wasn't a total waste as we were able to sample delicacies at nearby attraction.
Found WP1 easily, could read co-ords event tho' they are fading. No sign of cache at WP2. There area is very over grown with Blackberries, still I had a good look. I don't think it is there any more.
Found WP1 quickly, but the numbers are a little faded. Using the numbers as I read them, I went to WP2, but where I expected to find GZ, but Aurora have been tree pruning and possibly moved the cache. Thanks for the cache anyway.
Holiday time for me and Ostara74, and since it is winter we decided the logical thing to do would be head south. Thus, within a few days, we had planned and booked everything we needed and were of on our "Top spots of Tasmania Geocaching Tour". Ten days in Tassie to enjoy this magical in winter! Having only been here in Summer, and Ostara74 had never been here, we were in for a treat. The rivers were bulging, the water falls pumping, the rain forests were extra rainy, and the whole place was wonderfully green and alive. We decided upon a route, grabbed a hire car from Launceston airport and headed off. Basically, we ticked a few must see places on a map and then decided to simple find other stuff along the way, caching where ever we saw a cache along the route. Wonderfully easy to do when you can load all the caches for the state into the GPS as the same time. This was cache find number one for day two. We had visited the Raspberry farm and then the cheese farm and then came back and noticed the cache on the GPS. Sigh the coordinates were back were we had just been. Oh well of we went. Found the cache and retrieved after I argued with some prickly plants. Thanks for the cache Marcus Vitruvius.
Having never been to but heard a lot of good about Tasmania it was great to get here for a ten day holiday with Pathfinder24. Even in winter time we had a terrific stay. The rivers were full and the water falls mighty and amazing, and we came across such lovely food and local products in addition to caches on our way around the island. This one we found as number one on our second day in Tassie. After tasting raspberries and cheese we noticed this cache on our GPSs and decided to give it a try. Coords for WP2 were easily found, but then we noticed that we had to travel north again which wasn't our plan. This cache is best done if travelling south to north!! But back we went and found the cache after some struggle for Pathfinder24 to get it out of the sticky bushes. Thanks for the large cache,Team Tiges.
After reading the previous logs we were a bit iffy about this one but geohubby was keen to give it a go.
After traversing an obstacle course of lopped branches and blackberries he had the cache in hand,
not an easy feat.

Gave up at around 11:11 hrs. Like the last cacher who actually found this, I wasn't too impressed with the location. It's a nice tree and it'd be okay if I could find the cache more easily (the hint I gather no longer applies), though I didn't fancy searching through all the blackberries. Also some recent branches were left which may have been obscuring the cache. I did try poking around with a stick for 5-10 minutes to no avail. Though couldn't remain parked on the highway with cars whizzing by at 110kph forever. WP1 was a bit better because we could park off the highway, though the container itself was possibly a bit too close. Might be better to have this style of cache on a quieter road somewhere. Thanks anyway.
Found it but this was a nightmare for a couple of reasons. It is definitely worth noting that this is best done if travelling south to north otherwise you have to retrace your journey by 8 or so km which is a pain. Then when you've done that you have to park 300m further north of it because there is no safe parking on the side of the road and walk back along a massively busy main highway. Then, lastly, fight through the overgown blackberry bushes to retrieve the cache which is right in the middle of one of them. Also, the plovers decided they didn't like us near their nest so attacked relentlessly the whole time we were trying to protect ourselves from the thorns. Cuts and scratches to prove it. This was probably a great idea originally and I thought it sounded pretty good as well on reading it. BUT it needs to be rethought and made a lot more cacher friendly than it currently is. One of the most frustrating cache hunts ever and not the way I wanted to remember it, sorry. Contents of box are wet. TFT hunt, anyway.
I found WP1 last year but was heading in the wrong direction, so had to try again today. I identified the hiding spot in the car, but had to park up the road and walk back. I can't say my feet appreciated how wet they needed to get on the way to GZ, but it was either that or walk along the highway. Once there though it was an easy find. Thanks Team Tiges.
Found WP1 and WP2 with little difficulty. Nice birthday surprise for a Christmas tragic - swapped red star for a green star.
Had a bit of fun getting to this one, but it was worth it.

Thanks for the cache Team Tiges. We discovered it on Christmas Eve 2009 - very fitting that our visit today coincides with this significant occasion. We decided to take the beautiful Christmas Tree Decoration which will take a prominent position on the tree tonight (we're spending our first Christmas in Tassie - spending it with the expat members of our family). Left a small gift for a "well connected" teenager - sorry it's not gift wrapped . Ironically we were in between seasons - too late for the blackberrys and too early for the apples
Mrs Sol checked out the nearby shop as I made the find at WP 1. From there it was just a little drive to GZ to make the final find, before checking out yet another nearby establishment. Bought at few things at each place......which we might not of stopped at without the cache.......so thanks for that.
WP1 was in the obvious place. Pity we didn't look there first!! Located GZ with no problems and took a Christmas star. Amazing that there are still Christmas items in the cache. Left soldier. TFTC and wet feet!!
We found WP1 a few weeks ago, but were heading in the wrong direction for WP2. Today we stopped to retreive the cache at WP2, but were disappointed that there was nowhere safe to park nearby. We parked at a nearby attraction and walked back down the highway, which was hard-going between the long grass and blackberries (especially for the mini helper), and walking on the side of the road was not particularly safe. Perhaps parking to the South of WP2 would allow easier access... The cache has some nice Christmas-themed swaps, but we didn't have anything suitable to exchange, so we signed the log and rehid the cache.
Found this one today on our way home. Found WP1 a week or more ago but was heading the wrong way. Being so close to the highway with nowhere safe nearby to park, I wouldn't recommend this one for the kids. However, I loved the theme and think it will be very popular in a couple of months. Thanks for the cache.
Were hoping to stop for breakfast near the start point. No luck as closed on good friday. found the first point no worries, but heading the wrong way so saved them for later. When we came back later we couldn't figure out where we could safely stop, so we never did take have the pleasure of visiting santa's sack. thanks for the fun of the hunt anyway.
Way point 1 was found without problems yesterday but unable to find final location due to blackberries and scrub. Back past this way today armed with long pants and gloves and found with no problems TNLN Thanks
11.45am
Found by Roma and Max.
This proved to be an interesting offset and we were fortunate to be travelling in the right direction as we proceeded to GZ.
We left our mark in the log and made no exchange.
Thank you again Team Tiges.

Another relatively easy find, got WP1 last week but was headed the wrong way, then got WP2 in the dark this morning, I was very tempted by the Barry Humphries cassette in the cache but then remembered I dont have a cassette player...... darn it

To say I looked a complete idiot doing this cache is a complete understatement
I was determined to show gspblu how clever I was by thinking that I knew where to look. He allowed me to search for some time before he took two steps and had WP1 in his hand.
At GZ I made him promise to leave finding Santas Sack to me but the mess I made of that really just confirmed (once again) I shouldn’t cache alone.
Thanks Team Tiges TNLN as we were clean out of xmas swaps

Then drove right past the cache and had to double back again.

Went past GZ & had to backtrack - I was expecting the cache to be closer to the nearby attraction. Found the cache despite my GPSr not cooperating - it is definitely not playing the game today!

Tracked down WP2 on way back from Stanley, and finding it well protected by surrounding flora… [B)] And very sadly we had not enough time to make proper use of the delicious place just next to WP1. TN Left Blazin' Sn Micro GC
Thanks, Team Tiges, for the hunt.

Our second cache for the day as we make our way to Devonport. We thought that this was going to be a non starter as we had mucked up the co-ords. We were toying with going back after sampling the products at the nearby establishment when Juzmac pulled up. They were kind enough to guide us to the cache for a nice quick find
No Xmas swaps with us this trip so TNLNSL

Found by Mary & David at 1720. Please don't tell us it's nearly Christmas again! Our waist lines certainly felt like it. Of course we were travelling in the wrong direction, so a quick U-turn was in order. TNLN. Our thanks again to Team Tiges.
An easy Multi with a great starting location and a great end location.(Michelle thinks raspberry socks are such a novelty). TNLN
Buoyed by Boagratz recent success I ventured into the brambles again to claim this cache.
The brambles didnt give up without a fight, and I guess I'll wear the scars for a week or two.
Cache in great order.

Found WP1 without too much trouble, very impressed with the magnetic capabilities! WP2 was a tricky little sucker - loads of blackberries. We perservered though and came out with the goods.
TNLNSL Thanks!
TNLNSL Thanks!
Really enjoyed finding the first way point. If we had not been so full we had tummies like Santa from the pancakes at a previous spot we would have gone in. Did not like the final hiding spot. Felt quite conspicious and there were big holes left from fence posts that were just waiting to trip you up. Prickly vines waited to grab as well. We grabbed out the travel bug and the geokids chimed them for quite a while in the motor home as we trundled along. Took nothing else - signed the log - oh no wrapped presents were left. Great idea - something similar may pop up in Queensland this year. Well done on such a great concept.
This one was done in two stages. 2 days earlier I found the micro but decided I didn't want to return that way just yet so tonight I finished it off in the dark. I was prickled by something, may have been holly, probably blackberry. Anyway a nice multi team tiges. Thanks
Nice easy straight forward multi. No Christmas swaps today as it doesn't feel right as it is Easter Saturday. Happy Easter.
Found at 6:20pm after finding WP1 this morning, on our post-Cradle Mountain tour of N Tas. Had no Xmas flavoured swaps so TNLN, but dropped TB Zills in to continue belly dancing!
thanks Team Tiges
thanks Team Tiges
Found WP1 quickly (nice camo cache). Took me a bit longer to find WP2 'coz I ended up walking right around the area before closing in... Found easily once I was in the right place... thanks for all the prickles too - NOT! TNLNSL
This half the Routers do not do to many multis, but this one was on our way so we had a crack!
WP1. very easy and a nice spot for scones with raspberries and cream, Very nice indeed, WP2 was found easy and we were on our way, Thanx for the cache.

Yay for Christmas caches! The camouflage at WP1 had me going for a second so I looked a bit further around but then I spotted it, and continued on to the cache. Another nice quick break on my trip. Took present(last one in there!) left Angel cookie cutter and signed log. Thanks Team Tiges.
Had a luncheon engagement virtually at WP1, so Santa's Sack was a bonus for the day (makes the drive north all worthwhile!!). WP2 was in the opposite direction to our dinner engagement back at home, but what the heck! Plenty of prickles despite the area looking like it had been cut fairly recently. As it's nearly christmas again we left a wrapped present for the next passing cacher (only one there at the moment). Also, L christmas frog and T purple gift bag. Thanks for this one.
Find #12 on the return from the NWCW trip.
I pulled up and the cache was supposed to be less than 2m from the cachemobile. Then Mr CP informs me I've got the wrong co-ords. Found the correct cor-ords and WP1, then off to WP2. Found cache easily and logged. TNLN.
Thanks Tiges. This one should last a while.

Was sure it was just down the road but found it in the end. Nice 2 parter. TNLNSL. Thanks. Changed username - found as dhilly but had to include family in name.

A couple of days down the Coast netted us a dozen or so caches……. SO this is my “Quick†way to log them all…….
They were all “Great Fun†to hunt down as they always are (some better than others of course) but all fun none the less.
Had to log about two dozen at once one other time and I must admit that that took the fun out of Caching a bit especially when you type one finger at a time!!!!!!!
I’m cheating I know BUT this will get the job done a lot quicker……………..LOL

We had to give up on this one - we couldn't find WP1. However, we shall return, and will be singing Jingle bells next time! Maybe that will help us! ..
Sixth of twenty-three finds for the Launceston to Devonport day of my assault on Northern Tasmania. I picked the location of the micro as I drove up to it. So far, so good. I headed off to the appointed place. When I saw the mass of blackberries, I knew I had found the robtas GZ. The cache was an easy find at 0955, because it was just sitting there in the midst of the blackberries. It would have been difficult/impossible to cover it, so I replaced it as I found it. I didn't have anything that fitted the theme, so I made no exchange. Thanks to robtas for the cache.
Nice multi unfortunately I was heading in the wrong direction and was forced to back track form where I had come. Unfortunately this will not in the running for any awards for the contribution to road safety.
Good one - WP1 almost proved difficult, nearly "hit a barrier". WP2 was a bit scary because of position on side of road. Found it in any case. Thanks TT
Drove past yesterday but didn't make the same mistake second time around. Found WP1 easily and had to leave WP2 till late in the day. Found without any troubles but didn't have any swaps that fitted the theme.

Found the first waypoint on the way down south, figured we'd pick up the trail on the way home.
Unfortunatly, on the way home, we turned off the highway at WP1 and ended up on a forestry road and had the call the help-line (thanks Hal) to check if we were doing it right, when things started to look hairy. Soooo we back traced our "steps" and got back onto the highway as we should have stayed in the first place
Found the cache easy this time...
Last cache for trip home.

hm, I thought I logged this twice before, but it keeps coming up on my to do list!
Found with aloysius at the end of a long day of uneventfulness - had found WP1 some time before, likewise with aloysius, so CraigRat stopped for us to log this one on the way home. He refused to the leave the car himself due to the fact he hadn't done WP1, so therefore ethically he couldn't do the cache - see it's not about the numbers

Dropping in travel bug (Didn't have the tracking number with me when I wrote the orignal log!)
Found this one on the way home from our Cachemas Eve Crusade to the north. The slaves convinced me I had had too traumatic a time at the last stop (where I was banned from one of Snuva's holy sites - but that's another story) and should rest in the cacheMobile while they visited the 1st waypoint, and despite reporting back later that the coordinates had been SPOT ON the slave took quite a long time to find it! At least a half hour! I thought I could smell some luscious smells on them, however surely I must have been hallucinating because of my traumatic experience!? And I was a bit traumatised again when they told me where the second waypoint was (sorry - long story - and a bit of a spoiler), but being a brave cache hound I took a deep sigh, quickly put on a funny nose and glasses, and told them we should do it!! As the coordinates were spot-on again the cache was soon ours! Took a beautiful star for the tree I've hidden swaps under at home; left a TB (sorry - I'll have to log it in later as I left the tracking number in the cacheMobile!) This was a fantastic cache as always, Team Tiges!!

The weather will crack up on the weekend was perfect excuse to drag team out with a paper elephant travel buddy from school in France to climb a mountain and do this cache on the way. Bonus was the Sheffield xmas parade. The cloak was filling with water so we have dried it out and put it in the cache which is very hard to see without it anyway. L star/pressie Tpressie/squeaky toy Thankyou santa!
this isn't technically a DNF, so I'll write a note..... I stopped & got the required info from WP1 on the 14th... that was easy, but the cache wasn't in the area I thought it'd be... no problems I'll grab it on the way back from Hobart tomorrow... I think it was about Penguin when I remembered my plan ...D'oh... I will be back ... (is this a crime? am i losing my touch?
