Had a chat with a few experienced cachers about this cache, and the general consensus was that seeing as though the owner has sadly passed away, and the cache is unable to be maintained, can this one please be put to rest.
Looks like this cache is out of action for a while. Repairman everywhere and the road is closed
Just wondering on the status of this cache ? went on a search and noticed both the old ferry has now been washed away and what seems to be the WP is now a carpark area?
i have relocated the cache to higher ground as it was very close to getting was down the river with the flood water. once the water has gone down i will replace the cache back in the same position ( if it is still there)
Found at 0940Hrs with bluegonz. We did have to pay the ferryman to get to the other side (and a cache), and the price had already been set!
Thanks brummy.
Thanks brummy.
I have never been to this place despite living in Brisbane and working in Ipswich for several years in the past. Busy spot today with the cars queing for the ferry quite close. I just waited patiently until they loaded up and grabbed the cache. TFTC
This was a fun cache ,a ride on the ferry before we started ,kids would love the ferry and it was a nice quick find before 9 am
We arrived at the ferry departure point and waited for the ferry to come across the river. Soon we noticed the ferry was not loading up on the other side. It was stuck part way across the river and little muggles in bright coloured vests were going back and forwards between an engine room section and another section in the middle of the empty ferry. (scratching their heads I would assume)
After ten minutes or so cars started to turn around and find an alternative route. I decided to drive in to the parking of near the river and wait for a bit. I was thinking that this little park was an ideal spot for a geocache so imported the nearest cache info on to phone.
The nearest cache is.... 22 meters away. After a quick search the cache was found. TFTC TNLNSL
We ended up finding an alternative route and not paying the ferry man today.

Found at 1223 with Marg. A quick find in a very quiet park at ferry crossing. Cache OK and dry. This was our last ona 2 day cache trip to Toowoomba and back. TFTC.
Well I had to pay the ferryman as I'd come over from the other side.
Still it was something different. Found the right spot and noted the clue.
Onto the rest, TFTC

Found it while out riding my bicycle. I did not need to pay the ferry man as bikes travel free on the ferry.
Have not been on the ferry in years and while we were waiting saw a perfect site to hide a cache ... And amazingly there was one there TFTC

Jack's Mob. This was probably the easiest cache to find in the berocca series. I hadn't been on the ferry for years and it was the first time for my kids.
This one has been on the Gunnie radar for some time. I was cruising with Team Robins today and when they highlighted this cache as one they had planned to hunt, I thought, how convenient... [^]
We left the Team Robins bus in the car park and did the pedestrian thing on the Ferry. After we had the find under our belt and hopped back on the ferry, the driver (if that's what you call him) piped up and said "another one ticked off then..."
Yes we exclaimed before asking how many GPS bearing bandits he sees on the high seas... Oh, a few now and then he replied... He also highlighted that he had snuck up the bank to see what all the fuss was about... [^] I doubt we have another member of the secret society on our hands however.... He was very nonchalant about the whole thing.... Guess it's old news now...
On another note, I have only crossed the river 3 times on the ferry. I had never noticed the park areas on the riverside until today... Thanks for bringing them to my attention.
Cheers

After conquering "the Mexican" yesterday but taking most of the day to find it I decided to have a go at this series. Left my daughters house at Mt Crosby around 0740 and arrived in the car park at kholo gardens around 0755.
Found this cache quite easilly at 0850. Good hide. Going to do these in order; Kholo,Tubes,The Ferryman,Bamboo Raft, Western,Pilly then hopefully I'll have the correct Co Ordinates for Gold. Parked the car in the little car park and quickly found this GZ. No muggles waiting for the ferry. TFTC.

Found on a trip to the big smoke for HARRY TB to meet Barry. Traffic on the highway was backed up and at a standstill so I had to pay the ferryman. Nice spot. TFTC
Apparently this is still doable so I'll put it back up.
If anyone would be willing to help service the cach I would be greatful.

Second berocca cache for the day. Arrived here as a family of muggles arrived, we watched the ferry, played in the playground, at one stage I thought they were looking for the cach, but it turned out they were trying to find lizards. Eventually they left and the cache was quickly found.
Thanks
Thanks
Yep, GPS alerted " Board the Ferry".... So we did and grabbed a cache!
Grabbed some photos, thanks for the fun cache!!
Cheers!

This was fun, and quite unexpected. Driving along following the autorouting and quite suddenly popped up the instruction "Board the Ferry" Huh? We soon found out what that meant.
Quick find while enjoying the view.
Thanks for the placement.

Being in the area finding a cache that's offline but still there, I had to grab this one. As I was about to turn off the ignition, the radio began playing Chris deBurgh's "Don't pay the ferryman". Karma, spooky, weird or cool? Whatever, I sat and listened to it and then found the cache. TN/LN. Now I can visit Gold. Good lord, it's 623 days since I found the first one . Well, I did say at 'Berocca Kholo' that I like to stop and smell the roses. I really think I'd better put in the effort and re-visit them all on the day I finally get to the golden GZ .
Found @12:20 with Ryan King.
A nice area to visit, and enjoy the ferry ride to get here. The rain came down really heavy just as we started the search but we picked up the cache quickly and signed the log in the car. TFTC.

Attempted this one from our base at Ipswich so we did have to pay the ferryman. Really enjoyed the experience and doing the cache. Scenic location. Thanks brummy
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga at 11:50am. This was quite an easy find and the cache seems safe and well. TFTC
Great spot for lunch. Since berocca kholo is no more it's off to the berocca gold Thanks for the fantastic hunt.
Found with Tratty. We had to wait for a muggle to stop taking photo's of himself at GZ. TFTC
Took a short detour from our trip out toIpswich to grab this cache. The kids loved the ferry ride out and back.
Thanks
Thanks
Nice easy find for our third for the day and third in total. Nice to travel on the ferry again too. Been a while!
Accompany with Ozcymru - lovely area. Enjoyed ride the ferry. Thank you for organise the cache and hunt.
We did do this one properly as Berocca Kholo is not available so there was no point will do series properly when it is back. Signed log
We found this one with no problem, we did the other don't pay the ferryman at the same time. We enjoyed the ferry ride and the Geokids had a play in the park. This was No.2 from 3 (Brocca Kholo not Found) for the day went home for lunch doing the rest after lunch. TFTC
Well, was batting one from two until we put this one away, I like the plain sight thing with this series. although it makes me wonder what we missed with Kholo this morning.
Cheers!
Cheers!
Unfortunatley the ferry was under repair today so it's on to plan B to reach the next two TFTC.
Would you believe that today was the one day of the year when the ferry was having its annual inspection! Oh well! I suppose we didn't have to pay the ferry man.
THENANKS and the HappyHarries had a bit of a run around the park after signing the log book. we'll have to come back to do the nearby multi.
Thanks Brummy

I do apologise for the lengthy delay in reactivating this series. The clues have been changed around a little so as per the original rules all caches must be completed on the same day and in as short a space of time as possible.
Best of luck and remember speeding on the roads is not the objective, just plan your trip well and no stopping to smell the roses.

Third of seven finds on my fourth night in Brisbane, in company with The Garner Family. I realise that this cache is disabled at the moment, but we had just logged "Don't Pay the Ferryman", and being within metres of this one, I couldn't resist it. I found it 1800, with just enough time to get to the ferry before it closed. It's a micro cache, so TNLNSL. Thanks to Brummy for the cache.
I'll just disable the series until I'm able to repair Bamboo Raft and check on Kholo.
The rock is still there - a bit out of place around the timber. Some muggles in the area.
Almost missed the turnoff with Nosugrefs. Won't say who was navigating. .
Found easily with not too much traffic on the ferry at this time of day.

18:34hrs No problems with this one and no mugles about as the last ferry service was 4 minutes ago
No. three found at 11.16am. another nice spot that deserves more time than what we had today. Easy find and not too many muggles about.
Great spot that we have though about as a cache site as well previously. Cache found at 12:09pm. On with the race.
Easy find.
You pinched the name and the location for a cache I was planning, but that won't stop me, cause I'm hot and sweaty from completing your berocca series and I too don't want to pay the ferryman.

A couple of muggle bike riders nearby, but I managed to extract & replace the cache stealthily. Quite peaceful watching the ferry go back & forth.

Now how did you get that in there?
Spent a little longer than planned watching the ferry come and go

Nice little hiding place, how did it get there? Caught the ferry after finding the cache to continue on with the next in the series. This cache name is true if you're on your bike, it's free to cross.
Just as i pulled up to the Ferry, I saw critter and it appeared that she was about to leave - Turns out her GPSr was playing up and had her some distance from the cache... with that sorted, Critter found the cache together very shortly thereafter - Found @ 08:55.
[Edit] - Wrong Date !
