Time to disable this one. We just can't find time to get back and sort it out. Its a great spot so maybe someone will take up the challenge!

***** REVIEWER NOTE *****

Hi blondie-n-baldie

It appears that this cache has been inactive for quite some time. Is it going to be replaced or should it be archived to make room for possible future caches? If the cache owner does not contact me by 21 October, I'll assume the cache needs to be archived.

While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,

Regards,
Zero Gravitas

Spent nearly an hour grovelling around in the rocks -the photo clue matched GZ no problem, but no cache. Moved a few obvious rocks, still nothing. Looks like a bit of recent rock damage in the area. Came home to find it's been disabled...

16-Aug-07
Just disabling until we have the opportunity to go and check it's location.

this is the third time that i've been to the site to find it. i looked at spoilers and everything, still with no luck. i REALLY hate giving up on things... but hey, i had no choice, the sun was setting.

Just a note to say that a climber found the cellphone I lost whilst doing this cache and returned it to me : ) (It survived a couple of weeks in the wind and rain!) So now I have my phone back, just need to find the cache!

08-Jul-07
This is truly extreme cacheing! Scrambled down, up, down, up the cliffs. Couldn't find the cache - my second did not find of the day : ( And in the process I lost my mobile phone : ( : ( I enjoyed the climb though.

Love the beach nd was amazed how the sea had clamed back so much of the rusty wrecks down their, enjoyed the walk in and out.

19-May-07
Went for a bit of a kayak. Thought it looked easier kayaking than walking...
Took: Golf Ball
Left: Finger puppet

The cows at the top of the track are quite tame.
I was surprised to find a cow at the bottom of the track.

Quite a scramble down the cliff. Good find, but did result in getting wet feet! Carried on round the shore until we found a bit that we were not too sure about!

Wow what a track!! At least our efforts were rewarded when we finally found the cache. Climbing back up was easier.

Hey everybody, this cache is now back up and running. Had a "smaching" good time and have managed to get it back on-line, had a little help from roaming kiwi as well. Happy caching peoples.

Droped off Frannie's Chip as well.

A very familiar location. Very fashionable with unfashionable rockclimbers.

07-Jan-07
Wow, that is steep. Much caution needed here both on the path and in finding the start of it. Very light southerly with fine weather and this has to be one of the most peaceful spots I have ever encountered.

Made a quick knife by breaking off an old piece of car leaf spring and grabbed some paua which were just delicious with a bit of garlic and oil on the barbie tonight.

Cache all good. No swaps, just signed the book.

Yes, well. Took a look at the spoiler first and thought I would walk around the coastline rather than doing a cliff climb. You can only go this way at low tide and still has a few tricky spots. Decided to climb the cliff to get out as the track was more obvious from this direction. T0L0 TFTC

Back for another visit.
Built a fire and had a sausage sizzle to celebrate.
Took slinky the TB as it was not moving anywhere.
Fresh southerly so nice and sheltered there.

Spiderman made it down and back safely. Magic spot. Found the sea, and the rusty wreck, but not the prize between the two. Checked photos on return home. Recognise spoiler 1 and 2 but not 3. Will take copy of spoiler 3 next time.

Excellent location - took a few minutes and the clue to find it but well worth the climb. A very windy afternoon made it interesting - not a trip for a wet slippery day or a weak heart...
Took a belt clip and left a travel bug looking for interesting locations on its way back home.

Good lord! What a climb/fall!
Made it down in one piece but floundered around a bit before actually looking in the most obvious location! Found it, nice possie.

Been flying gliders here for years, and never realised this was here. Didn't even realise you could climb down there.

I wondered about my ability to reach this cache. Luckily the wind had dried out most of the moisture from the overnight rain by the time I tried it. I just coped but it took me longer to go down than up, which is unusual.

I was using the Palm 105 so could not see the spoiler photos but I used the clue. Within a minute or so I looked at the correct hiding place but wrongly assumed the rocks there were "permanent" it was only a more desperate last chance wrenching of rock that yielded the prize.
What an interesting place. In spite of the difficult track I returned laden with several beachcombers treasures.
I was a bit surprised to find a muggle comming down as I retraced my steps up.

Nice Spot. Found Cache after about ten minutes looking. However, the cache was exactly where described.

Cool
[I was introduced to geocaching a couple of days ago, and was very interested to see there was one practically in my backyard, (within 2km of home)... I don't own a GPS as yet, but the clues were good enough without it. I will be getting a GPS very soon, this is fun! Lovely spot, I will be going back better equipped as people were taking LEGAL size paua off the rocks in kneedeep water!

Taken - Rodent (using it now!)
Left - 1 Taka coin from Bangladesh, keyring (which is only suitable for 3% of the population,] ignition key to "rusty wreck"

My second go at this cache - the first time I was searching the wrong bay ! They all seem to have Rusty Wrecks....
Anyway, with the correct datum, no problems with the find.
Thanks for the exercise

Updated co-ords after discovering that our GPS was set to the wrong datum. Had no idea there was an issue because during our hunts, we've been led directly to within 1-6 metres of cache locations! Boy do we feel silly! Red Face @RoamingKiwi - we'll have to catchup and shout you a cold one my friend after your previous experiences!

Found it Wink
anoying thing is i was in the right area last time even though my GPS was telling me otherwise.
Im just going to put it down to my GPS playing up in this area, cos its was still put me in the field above AGAIN.
found it using the clues in the end, they were good ones;)
anyway ,great place for a cache and those caves in the next cove where interesting too.

Sorry Andy that your day didn't work out well! I will check the cache and co-ords this week and report back.

19-Dec-05
Checked the cache and its safe-n-sound where it should be. Have updated the co-ordinates (a very slight change, not dramatic enough to put anyone in the field above! Wink. Have also updated the clue, just incase the hiding place is a bit difficult due to patchy GPS readings.

18-Dec-05
GPS was putting me in the middle of the paddock above ,not sure if its my unit or if the bearings are out ,had to use the clues to get to the aprox area, but no luck this time.
hide my mountain bike up the top cos there was no way i was ever going to get it down that track, managed to get two punctures from the brambles where it was hidden:( so had to walk the bike back home

not a good day
hopefully next time is better
