We were walking by so thought I'd have a look if I could make the rediscovery. No such luck
After the two recent DNFs I came by to check. It's been almost 17 years since the cache was placed and a lot has changed since then.
Given the amount of fallen tree debris it is likely this cache is now buried under a tonne of timber and bracken.
I will leave it open and available for the next few months but if no one manages a find, which is unlikely, I will archive this old box.

Came but not conquered. Thick undergrowth and GPS all over the place. Have to revisit this one at some point
Found It!
I took the approach from the bottom of the hill since at least there's somewhere to park there. Always nice to find such an old cache that still has the original log book in it!

Travelled through the city dodging potential hot spots as we went... can't afford time off right now lol. With Jack and Sebastbat.
Came for a bit of peace and tranquility in the Belair park... and it was full of picnickers, hikers, all sorts of random bods Luckily the caches we sought were mostly away from the crowds
This was an old DNF. Not sure why. Tall grass and snakes perhaps? Like today...
Nah, all we found was a cache and a friendly koala nearby Much happiness as blue turns to yellow
Much thanks to Kerinmor for placing and maintaining this cache on the SA map
and "thanks" for the cardio workout up that hill [:o)]
---
Out every day locating and logging using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck Quite a bit of that!!!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Keep a lookout for bogs, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs from alpha to omega !!! . [xx(]
Ensure that Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
Now our borders are open - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!
We do really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting
[^] [:o)] [^]

Woohoo! All nooked out after the cardio climb! Cache in good condition. Log signed and replaced! Lots of swappables. TFTC
Well that was a climb. Not sure that was the best way to GZ but got there. I was worried when retrieving Th the cache was full of water but soon discovered the weight was not water. Cache and contents are all good. TFTC
Awesome almost 15 year old cache. Was a bit wet today so crouching down to grab this one was quite unpleasant. Hidden in a peaceful little spot of the park.
With working from home restrictions enacted during the week due to COVID-19, I was keen to head to one of the parks to do some fitness. So this evening, the plan was Belair National Park for some jogging and hiking whilst detouring past a few geocaches that I hadn't had the chance to find yet. It was rather quiet around the place, although there were a few other joggers enjoying the scenery also. A nice warm night that was good to get outside, especially with daylight savings just around the corner.
One of my final hikes up the hill, and came across this container. The container was quite out in the open actually, so I made sure to hide better. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. It was nice to have found this oldie 12/2005 container. Thanks KriKe for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Not usually out this way, but a son had a basketball practice for a new team, so looked around for caches of interest. This one filled a gap on my Jasmer grid and looked like a quick find that would be possible in the limited time I had in the fading light, so I made the drive and arrived at the closest road to GZ. Parking is limited here, but I’d come this far, so I squeezed in (not recommended). Then squeezed through the gap in the gate and oh it’s a bit further than I thought and done here. Should I leave it? No, give it a go. So down the hill at pace. Navigated to GZ and made the find. Signed the log and replaced, then back up the hill. I tried to do that at pace and wore myself out (but was worried about where I’d left the car). Squeezed back through the gate and collapsed in the car with just enough time to collect the son from practice.

Find #754
Note to future finders - check out the maps and terrain before attempting and find a better approach than the closest road provides.

Completing my loop walk I came past this one - KriKe there's a bit of elevation change to get here! Nice cache! TFTC!!
Made the short walk up the hill to this one. Cache took a bit of searching but found it nicely tucked away in the end.
Out for the afternoon by myself for a nice walk for a few hours in Belair national park. Collected a few caches along the way. Followed by an evening of some high DT caching trip with Davidwazza and Weredunn4. With the 5 DT loop completed.

When I approached this one I though I was on the 'wrong side' but there was a handy track right through the prickly potential [:o] which led me to the GZ area. I must have looked for near on 15 minutes before I finally located the hidden and well camo'd booty!

As I'm now 3 months behind in my logging I am desperately trying to catch up and am mass logging to do so.
I was back in Adelaide for a very short time after Christmas and before returning to Vic to work on 2nd January
After attending the Very Good Story, Better If True event in the morning , Moneydork, RideTheGeoWalrus and I spent the day caching together and oh boy have I missed this style of caching The laughs , the conversation , the bushbashing [xx(] and the finding of multiple caches in a day [^]
The day's total for me was 13 caches found and the 1 event attended
We spent a chunk of the day in the Belair National Park where I had never cached before [^] and I even got to see a cool snake
Some of the bushbashing had me cursing as shins that even about 6 weeks later were still feeling the impact of the sunburn after the hours on the water kayaking yesterday brushed up against spiky native bushes
Still I did get a couple of challenge caches that i qualified for when they were published but never got in to find them
Walked over a dam wall without falling in [^], lost my ecig and RTGW found it again , saw a koala in a tree and finally ended up at a Flamingo pool party to celebrate New Year's Eve with some lovely people [^][:X]

A day of caching with Moneydork and locus cache before a big night of partying for New Years Eve with dance friends. We headed south and hit up Belair National Park, since we rarely get the opportunity to be in Belair during opening hours.
We missed the path for this one, and had to do a bit of climbing. Once we reached GZ there were only a few places to search and we had the cache in hand shortly thereafter.
This was find number 6 of 9 for the day for me.TFTC KriKe!

This took me a lot longer than it should have! I edged past 2 emus that looked like they wanted to attack me...phew made it. Then disturbed a large pack of kangaroos. Scared the heck out of me. I looked where i thought it would be...couldnt find, looked again in afew different prickly places looked again and there it was. Tftc
Mmm we went through ferns and rose bushes to get this one and kaayia nearly got run over by a kangaroo. Tftc
First one for the day and it got the blood pumping quickly, just as we approached GZ we disturbed a big roo, we understand why he or she likes this spot, quite lovely to sit and listen to the sounds of nature. Took the TB to move it on. TFTC. Happy Caching, Jacqui & Steve.
This one took me a while to find! I checked the most obvious place but nothing there and my GPS was saying it was a bit further down. After a while searching and dodging the prickles, I went back to my original place, where I found the cache on the other side, thanks!
Whew - quite a walk from the bottom but we made it. A great spot and eventually had the cache in our hands. A nice olive tree here with plenty of olives on it! Took Plastic Rock, left Lego Piece. Cheers.
slowly working my way around the edge of belair national park, one day at a time to keep streak going. Today I took a fancy to a bit of NooKoo and walked down the hill to the cache. Good co ords and a quick find. Then a longer walk back up.
Well the side of the hill made nailing down gz tricky. But we got there in the end. Thanks for the
At the hiking expo. A bit of caching was in order. Had to dodge the emu to get this one. TFTC .
TFTC. Climbed a hill, saw a kangaroo and got scratched by thorns. But worth it!
I enjoyed a nice walk from the main gate. A quick find when I got to the GZ. TFTC
A little bit of rough terrain on the path that we took, and got some twigs in my ears. But overall a good location for the cache. Fab view
Today we are caching in Belair National Park with earthlight and met up with Rod81w later in the day, we had a great time in here and the weather was nice to us today, a quick find for us today. TFTC
Caught up with 3LG and Earthlight fow a few caches around belair. Short stroll and found a cache. No nookies happened.
Today was out with 3LG who rescued me from looking after my mother in-law for the day.
After 3 weeks I definately needed the break.
We walked and explored many beautiful areas today.
Many had wild flowers in abundance.
I found 30 caches in total.
TFTC
Awesome, great day to be out. Easy enough to access from Sheoak Path, just walk on the high side TFTC
Wow, this one needed a lot of zig-zagging through the big ferns approaching from the Valley Loop Hike. Might be best tackling it from the Nookoo Trail as the name suggests. Eldest geodaughter spotted it first. Lots of swag in the cache. TNLNSL TFTC
Found on a drive/walk adventure on a nice winter's day in the Belair National Park.
Thanks for the cache KriKe
Thanks for the cache KriKe
The short approach from the road was a bit taxing for this 75 year old. Found in good order. Thanks Krike.

Found at 1128hrs after a nice walk up the hill. Easy find as it was uncovered. Nice view. Took TB. Thanks Krike
Found with NiciDanielle and Zoe the GeoDog TFTC. Ziploc bag is broken needs a new one or logs will get wet
I think we came at this from the wrong direction but geodaughter found it.

Plenty of roos hopping around this afternoon. After coming up from the lower track and finding our way through blackberries, the cache was quickly in hand. Thanks KriKe for the fun!
Wild goose chase at the start and lots of blackberries, retraced our steps and headed up the hill. TFTC
Got this one after a bad approach from the wrong direction, the trail was harder to find than the cache!!
Walked up the steep hill towards the cache & was surprised by three kangeroos bounding across the trail in front of us.Left the trail & went down to the well hidden cache which was soon found. SL. TFTC.
Found by brent, andrew and adam. Great spot, think we came in the wrong way but it was beautiful.
There you have it. 31 Days of Geocaching. I am please to say that maintaining the streak was a success. I took a photo at every cache. Those 31 photos have provided an excellent overview of what geocaching is all about. Forest caches are some of the most rewarding. It's nice to find a sizeable cache, and you rarely have to worry about being subtle, and they take to you to some very interesting places. If it weren't for this cache, we probably would not have found this trail. TFTC, KriKe.
Found the cache in good condition. On the way back down the NooKoo track I heard some thumping behind me, turned around and nearly got bowled over by an emu running down the track. TFTC KriKe.
It was a steep walk up from the trail but we soon found it. Good hiding spot. TFTC.
A quick find in the first place I looked. I found it while on my early morning mountain bike ride. I had to walk up NooKoo track as it got a bit too steep for me, but the ride back down was good fun. TFTC.
Out for a day of caching with brisal5, Aussie M & M, Muff1 and Deb'n'Franc. Belair National park is a beautiful location and it was easy to fill in a day of caching here.
Thankyou for your cache
I so couldn't stop myself calling this Fancy a bit of Nookie
