As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Unbeknown to us this one has been archived (had cache info from a long time ago) - but we had a go anyway and came up with the prize. Sneakily the Smelly who is the queen of mircro's (no not I) ventured beyond the ropes and had cache in hand with 30sec - not bad hey. Put cache back where we found it and got out of there quick smart.

Once again this was an opportune time to search at this display, and our cache info was not up to date re its current status however we took advantage of the opportunity. Although we had to reverse our knowledge of port and starboard to get a result! Perhaps there has been some cache creep!
We signed the log.
Thank you Rescue-201 for bringing us here. Round the time of A bomb testing in Australia we believe this type of craft was flown with remote control, from a distance, by two operators somewhat similar to the methods used up until recent times by the Jindivik drone.

When oh when will this one be back on line. Drove past today and the chains are still firmly in place! Are they putting up a new exhibit or will the planes remain fenced off permanently?
due to on going work and procrastination at the site this cache will be dissabled till work is completed word is that a new display will be in with new aircraft to display soon??????? I hope watch this space in coming months.
After reviewing the last few logs I am requesting "Needs Archiving" as I think this one needs reviewer intervention.
Back in June the previous DNF (marked the cache with needs maintaining) mentioned that the cache should be temporarily disabled. No action has been taken by the cache owner since June. Archiving the cache will remove it from turning up in pocket queries until the owner requests it to be un-archived.

This cache should been offline.
When I travelled to "almost" gz only to see the fence I was only part annoyed, on one hand I was happy to see the planes particularly as my grandfather flew the Canberra and many others on display here on the other I had travelled out here to find a cache that should have been off-line.
I spoke with a gardner who said the fences are going to stay for good so this cache will need to be archived. Alternatively find a location outside the ropes as it's a good spot for a cache.

Dropped via here today hoping to have better luck than last time. The chains around the exhibits and the No Entry signs certainly stopped any chances that I had of getting near this one. I notice that the cache page has been changed but perhaps this one needs to be made unavailable until the fence comes down. I wasn't keen to incur the wrath of the guards at the guardhouse to claim the find...

First Wagga Trip - 7 of 77
Since it was raining, and we had just jumped the cordon, and were being watched, we resorted to the clue to speed up our departure. This definitely has an access problem, which is a shame – hope that this is only temporary. I really actually enjoyed looking at this object, and would have had a really good look around here if it wasn’t bucketing down.

Found @ 9:25am with Secretsquirrel-BJC. 7 of 79 finds on our weekend trip to Wagga Wagga. Well this was a bit of a challenge. Apart from the debate about port v. starboard it took a bit of searching to find the cache. We weren't quite sure if the nearby security guard was calling for reinforcements to "handle" the intruders, but the heavy rain was the ready excuse for being out-of-bounds for so long. TFTC We found it eventually.
Looked for a while but just couldn't find it.Mr Downer jumped the fence ignoring the No Entry signs, I was not so game so I stood and pretended to be looking at the plane. We weren't real happy about jumping the fence, maybe this one needs to be moved so the hunt can be done legally!! Thanks anyway
A quick dash across the road, a jump, , and skip, then a grab. Back to car, as forgot a pen. Signed and then repeated the exercise to replace. At this hour of the night, not too many muggles around to notice a shadow darting here and there.

Looks like we'll never get to do this cache. It is now fenced off with 'No Entry' signs all around. Makes it impossible to get to GZ, let alone search for the cache.
I had a good look for this one this morning while heading home from Wagga after a friend's wedding yesterday. I checked all the nooks and crannies I could in the spot mentioned in the clue, but I couldn't find it.
After getting home and thinking about it some more, I wonder if I was looking too far back on the airframe.

No luck for us, either. We did find a cache attachment device on the designated part of the structure, but no container attached. What we don't know, though, is whether it is a remanent of an earlier version of the cache or of the current one. Pity, as David was looking forward to this cache. He had a ride over the Gold Coast in one of these as a passenger when a RAAF cadet 40 years ago.
I'm a pilot and I didn't even get this one...I spent 20 minutes searching the area and couldn't get it then I read the logs and felt a bit better, If Tankengine, Tealby, McPhan, mtbikeroz all struggled, I figure I can be excused.
I will drop you an email next time before I go out to get a bit of a clue, perhaps the difficulty should be a bit higher?
Thanks for a truly challenging cache. I'll be back with an extra set of eyes and hands next time.

2nd attempt at this one for the B Team & was successful with a further hint from Rescue-201. A tricky hide. TFTC.

Managed to find it this time - thanks for the hint. Great museum - one day I will have to check out the rest of it! Don't know why I didn't find it last time... - Anyway, that's it, I've now found all the Wagga caches that I failed on last time - next time I can start with a clean slate! TNLN. Thanks Rescue-201.
Thank you for your help me with hint. but still cant find it SAD. Oh never mind but happy found another cache (GA0287 and GA0289) Thank you for organise the cache and hunt.
Search - no luck for me. eh. I hope someone will give me some hint before I leave Wagga Wagga tomorrow morning.
Master Q1 found this, the boys couldn't resist this spot. A great place.
Thanks from the quilts

Found in the company of Rod089 whilst out exploring Wagga. Nicely hidden cache in a great spot. Pity the museum was closed for refurbishment.

Found cache fairly easily. You just have to be observant before you charge in to search. Found on a Wagga visit with Wingaap at 1100. Checked the rest of the display before departing.

Thanks for an interesting one.

Cache three of thirty-six on day two of the Wagga assault in company with acts2youthgroup (who was celebrating his birthday). Given the last two DNFs on this cache, we decrypted the hint before searching. I found the hint to be confusing; I knew what an oleo strut was, and I knew which was the port side, however, the hint mentions a number, so I concentrated my search around the port-side of the oleo strut where the numbers were prominently displayed. While I was wasting my time doing this Acts2YG came up with the cache at 1000, several metres away. My advice: don't decrypt the hint; everything you need is in the cache description. It's a micro cache, so I made no exchange. Thanks to Rescue-201 for the cache.
Cache three of Twenty-Two on day two of the Wagga Wagga/Acts2’s Birthday assault in company with Dak Emu. What better way to celebrate ones birthday than be out caching with your caching mate. While Dak was mucking around in the wrong spot I headed for the cache, I was surprised to find the cache in full view. The cache could do with a maintenance visit as the attachment had come adrift. I hid the cache in a more appropriate manner after doing some repair work. Thanks Rescue-201 for showing us the bomber.
Well I hunted high and low around the vehicle. In all the holes I could reach. But I could not find it.
Albida.

Hmmm - tried this one for a while, but given the DNF from Mtbikeroz, I didn't try as hard as I might have... Maybe next time.
I would like to say this was an easy find, but it wasn't. I can say that I know a lot more about the undercarrage of the plane than I did before.
Luckily the cache was walking distance from where we were staying (and the cook wanted us out of the place during preparation - just so we didn't see what happened, I suspect )
Thanks, Robmc.

We must have been sneaking around town right behind mtbikeoz by the dates and logs in some of the books and this one caused us a bit of grief. We were staying right near here in the caravan park so we had about 3 goes at this one before success and that success came after the said maintenance check by the cache owners daughter apparently. On one of our visits we were hassled by security who saw our torchlight, (it was after dark) but when he saw our ages and honest faces he said "you blokes are alright, I thought it might be kids". Had to wonder if we'd been after a spare part for the Cessna at home what he's have thought, but nevermind.
Anyway thanks.
Anyway thanks.
Found the magnet that was meant to be in the film canister cache.
As I had my head out of sight, the daughter of the cache owner popped by and said are you a geocacher – CAUGHT!. Introduced herself and she found cache was missing, but magnet still there.
Oh well, I then went off and found another cache 10m away.

Ahhh! It's great to do aviation themed caches, and this was one of the best I have seen. Imagine a cache that forces you to look at the workings of an old bomber - paradise!
It actually took me a little while to find it because I was looking at the wrong spot on the oleo.
The other good thing is that the RAAF police did not turn up to drag me away. I'm sure if this was parked on a runway somewhere they would have.
Thanks Rescue-201, I enjoyed doing your caches on the way back to Sydney. It was a great hang gliding comp at Sportavia. The sailplanes had a great week as well.
As they say, "See you here, there, or in the air!"

Took the option and rang a friend (father in law actually) to check what an oleo leg is, then found quite easily. Cache is a micro so no swaps.
The first cache on our way out of town to Canberra, stopped on side of road ran accross and Mr.Coffee found fairly quickly.
