Thankyou for a nicely considered cache. Thought we would go directly to the cache creator to enjoy the well constructed caches, to show our appreciation and conduct a proof of principle for logging and favouriting archived caches. After a little search found the cache. Signed log and returned. We hope to find a few more of these caches in limbo in the future.

After having found around 10 Wingaap placed but adopted caches in the last week on Wingaap Way, today was the day to find an original but archived Wingaap creation. This one has been in place since around the birth of my third child who is now a first year Uni student. Notes and hints in the original posting still hold true today and after a reasonable respectful search, in keeping with the Cache creator, the cleverly camouflaged prize was in our hands. Wingaap, thank your for your time and efforts creating great caches in so many different ways but always with respect for the location. One last comment: There are several cachers whose names appear on the pristine paper log in this cache whose log has not been captured electronically

I’m no longer in the area. I’ve adopted out other caches only to see them flicked around new owners. This is not what I expected.

Interesting place. Different levels with no passage make walking here difficult. TftC.

16-Feb-22
Geocaching. They say it takes you to places you wouldn't otherwise go. Well I've walked past this area hundreds of times. Always wondered what was down here but never ventured in. The smilie got me there. Nice little cache. Very peaceful in here this evening. Thanks for the cache wingaap

Out and about on this windy day to grab some caches. This sneaky hide was located after a short search, this one was spotted by the muggle I brought along with me today, she is getting good at spotting them. Tftc

Attended the GeoVenture2020 event held at Southbank this evening and now we are hunting a few caches in this area before heading home.

I must admit I don't visit this part of town very often so was quite surprised to see this church and cemetery here. The hint had us scratching our heads for a bit until it finally sunk in. Cache found in its hide. What a great place.. SL then returned as found.

Thanks wingaap for bringing us here to see this place.

Catching up on an old log from a few weeks back. An air of melancholy in this somewhat forgotten spot. Not just because of the cemetery, but the clear lack of TLC for poor old Christ Church next door This poor little square of green next to the titan of Suncorp has seen happier days. Thankyou for bringing me here , Wingy, and thanks to Tinder for the recommendation.

What a unique place! Kept so neat and tidy. Passing through on an adventure lab and picked up this as well. Bonus. Tftc

Second of our finds tonight. Cool locations, kids loved the cemetary vibe. Easy find with the clues. TFTC!

24-Apr-21
TFTC. Spending our last day in the area after the Dayboro Mega tag testing some virtuals and Adventure Labs. We stopped here as a waypoint on one of the ALs. Spotted that there was a trad here. Linda spotted it and we quickly had the log signed.

Well wasn’t this a hidden treasure! I didn’t know about this place and we spent a little bit of time reading and paying respects. Cache located with no trouble and signed and replace before we moved on.

TFTC great spot

I remember when the development of Suncorp Stadium raised issues due to a burial ground. It was big news at the time. I’ve never been to this cemetery but it’s so peaceful. Almost like a hideaway from the city Josie nearby. The cache is where the clue and GPS say it will be. The presence of the clue helped me feel respectful in this place while still hunting caches. Today, jesswrigley and I had been staying in Robina during the recent Brisbane COVID-19 lockdown, which made our attendance of the nearby CITO event quite handy.
It was then time for me to make the solo drive north to Dayboro to partake in Day 1 of the planned Mega event! I firstly signed in to Mega HQ, and completed the Adventure Lab activities. With my Adelaide friends making the decision to abandon their plans, I headed around solo in finding the various solved geoart and other interesting cache types. I ran into many other Geocachers during the day, and joined a group in Hillview Court Reserve, before finally attending the Trivia Event. There were a few scattered showers, but otherwise, it was tolerable geocaching weather.
Thankfully, I did manage to complete 12 cache types with today's mega event festivities happening.

I had planned with making a stop at Suncorp Stadium whilst chasing multiple cache types today, and targeting the nearby virtual cache here. I also took the opportunity to make a few other finds.
I remembered about the ?? *I See Dead People* ?? Adventure Lab (AL) Location that was located next to the stadium, and so I thought I would go for a quick jog to this hidden away church and cemetery. It was kind of random, but also very interesting also. After grabbing the information for that AL, my attention then turned to this cache. The cache didn't take long to find, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks wingaap for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

I have been to Suncorp many times but haven’t actually taken the time to come down and check out this wonderful well maintained spot.

Cool little spot- wouldn't have known this existed without this cache. TFTC!

19-Jan-21
Found on my way into work on a clear morning after last nights rain. Amazing little spot surrounded by the heights of the stadium. I'm glad they kept this here when they developed Suncorp Stadium. Thanks for showing me this spot. Cache and log dry, all good here.

We got there, eventually.
Beautiful place to stop and pay our respect.

Ah took me a lil while but I went back to following the instructions - got it!

15-Nov-20
I’ve been riding to work past Suncorp stadium and this area for almost 15 years now, and had never been here. I ventured with my 10yo son into the church grounds early Sunday morning, saw one of the caretakers and they advised it was more than fine to have a look at the headstones. What a beautiful area. As noted by others- the clues are accurate, and the exact location and coordinates are correct. The magnetic clue was the tricky one, as we too were looking at all things metal. We’d spent a fair amount of time searching, wondering where a micro sized cache might be. About to leave, when my son gasped as he sighted it from an unusual angle. Great hide. TFTC

14-Nov-20
I spent way too long searching for this cache. I had a quick look where my GPS was pinting me, but saw nothing.
Then I expanded my search, and still had nothing.
Then I read the hint, and over-thought the whole thing......I tried everything that was metal. Nothing.
Then I saw a stubby holder in the shrubs near the road wall that someone had dropped after the last SoO game last week. I went outside to do my little bit of CITO and saw the cache where I had initially looked, but not well enough. The cammo is quite good.
The co-ords are good. Trust your GPS.

Lovely spot. Had read about this place online and I’m glad I’ve had a reason to visit so soon! Found a nice spot in the shade to sit back and write in the log.

Wow came to Suncorp to get the caches here and also for some exercise, never knew this was here!! It feels like a little secret I’ve just been told, very cool. We originally went to the wrong level, but more exercise I guess!! Thanks for showing us this place wingaap, cache is in good condition.

29-Aug-20
We accidentally went to the wrong place first and realised it can’t be here so we went to another spot and looked around and we found it. We never new this part of the stadium existed. TFTC

01-Aug-20
This place is marvellous. The headstones are beautiful in the craftsmanship that’s gone into making them. I came here for the adventure lab “I see dead people”, and didn’t realise there was a cache here. That was not very good multitasking on my part.I’m not complaining about coming back though. It is wonderful. And the hide is very clever. TFTC

Ventre was a Quirmian Philosopher. He’s best know for saying, "Possibly the gods exist, and possibly they do not. So why not believe in them in any case? If it's all true you'll go to a lovely place when you die, and if it isn't then you've lost nothing, right?" I’ve heard that when he died he woke up in a circle of gods holding nasty-looking sticks and one of them said, "We're going to show you what we think of Mr Clever Dick in these parts..."

Sometimes it pays to be stupid.

19-May-20
Was at a nearby adventure lab and thought I’d check for normal caches. Bingo! Lovely to visit this spot that I never knew existed. TFTC

10-May-20
Before I started caching, I used to live at Suncorp Stadium. We had some corporate seats and some piece of plastic card that was mystical and wonderous that got us endless supplies of beer for free. That beautiful card was so good it made me attend sports that I wouldn’t normally watch. Around those times I would often look down to GZ without actually knowing what this place was.

It was quite eerie being back around the stadium without a crowd. I got to check out the John Eales statue which I hadn’t seen before, posed for some snaps and had my mind blown there was a cemetery here.

After stamping the log we could see a bright illuminescent sign in the church that we thought was pretty cool. After we walked around we found it was of the lead light windows that just had some light hitting it the right spot and it was a kind of overcast and this window was like a shining beacon. I think I had a spiritual moment but it was just Mrs Woodyrothwell clipping me over the ear to get us home early for Mother’s Day drinks

A game of super rugby, or two. was on at the stadium, not a big crowd for that today.
Eventually found my way go GZ and soon made the find.

Out for a spin around town to chase down a few adventure labs. I have visited this one before, but it was AWOL. Much easier to find when It is there. Wink

Thanks for maintaining it. [^] It is a great spot for a cache, and not somewhere I would have ever found if it was not for the cache. Cool

Early morning find. Glad to see it has been replaced because it's a beautiful old building and graveyard.

With a waypoint of the lab cache here we decided to make the stop by and also find this cache, this is what I love about caching you always find places you wouldn’t have knkw about and this was one, that is for bringing me here.

On a holiday to Queensland to meet up with my two younger brothers (JL Rockstar) for a holiday/caching trip, a 4 day adventure that started with some disasters but slowly got better throughout which ended on a high.
Travelling up to tin can bay and Gympie, our to Kilroy and south west out to Ipswich.
Overall a great trip away with a total of 79 finds excluding the almost 50 labs found.

Thanks for the cache and it’s placement.

Schools back & nikid1 & I could finally get out for a day of geocaching. Up in Brisbane for the weekend to watch the test. As per usual I take an early morning walk to grab any nearby cache. Not much success this morning as the river walk was so busy I just had to give four a miss, one was in my had but no opportunity to extract. Anyway made my way over to this one which definitely made up for those missed. What a very lovey ‘quiet’ location surrounded by progress. Thankfully this place has remained. TFTC Wingaap #872

During my three weeks in Australia I got plenty of time to spend for my favorite hobby. There are some geocaches, which could be grabbed easily, but most of them are like all typical city caches - you have to be patient and wait for the muggles to disappear. Somehow I managed to find them.
Many thanks to all the owners for hiding and maintenance of their containers.

Greetings from Germany

Up early to head down the range to pick up a few caches with Eskies5. We had headed to this one just a week or so ago with no luck but seeing the CO had replaced it we thought we would come to this interesting little spot again and try out luck. With luck it was where we hoped and we signed our names before heading off to the next one. TFTC wingaap

Kestal and I headed down the range from Toowoomba bright and early to grab a few caches to fill some spots. After a DNF here a couple of weeks ago we were very happy to see this one had been replaced so this was a must do. I didn't know of this place prior to our first visit and the second visit still had the 'wow' factor. Wandered in and found the cache where we expected it to be. A fave pt for bringing me here. Thanks for the cache! And thanks for taking me to a place I’ve known for a long time existed but that I’ve never visited - despite my love of family history and local Brisbane history. So thanks once again to geocaching for taking me places I wouldn’t normally get to! Thanks wingaap!

Not for Kestal and I today Sad. I wish I could give a fave pt for a DNF...this spot I didn't know about and I love it!!

Wayn0 and I spent over half an hour looking all around here tonight. Even looked at past logs and the gallery. Seriously couldn't find anything except well pruned trees, a hole full of leaf litter and fluff, and a metal plate that could hold a magnetic cache. Sad

Well I suppose if you could goof a cache, or just waste time looking in totally the wrong spots, this one would win the prize. Red Face
Mind in totally the wrong line of thought as to where this one was hidden, and when just about to give up, looked in different direction, and there it was laughing at me. Big Grin
