Finally we found it after two failed attempts back in 2018/19 when we visited the area. Fortunately with the new coordinates we were able to zero in on the cache quite quickly.TFTC
This was a DNF for us in 2019, we were all over the place then, fortunately this attempt was a bit more straightforward with the different co-ords so we were happy to cross this one off our too hard list. Nice spot for a cache.TFTC TNLN
This turned out to be a much easier find than I expected. I picked a nice quiet day for it, hardly anyone about. Good size container, though contents were a little wet. Left some swag for the next to find. Great location too! TFTC
A bit of exploring in the area today so I grabbed a few local caches. Thanks kryslazz.
I solved this puzzle within the first few years of joining geocaching and was targeting any puzzle I could find. I've just never been to this area before. The plan for today was to go Hounding at Mt Baw Baw. But when I was almost there, I discovered that the road is closed, and I would have to detour to Moe and take the South Face. As such, I thought I'd start taking that route and see what geocaches caught my eye. The walk around sweet water creek was nice, but the highlight was Blue Rock Lake. This walk was the start of the day and turned out to be 1 of the highlights. Certainly a lovely area and not too many people here between 8 and 9 in the morning. Walking towards GZ, I spotted where it would be hidden from a good 5 meters away. As such was an easy find even with it a little buried. Thanks for the cache, The Coffee's.Hunter
Derek had been looking at this area for some time and invited me to join him. Fabulous afternoon exploring Willow Grove and Blue Rock Dam. Thanks for luring us here The Coffees
Planning to search for a nearby night cache, I met Kbucky during the afternoon, and we located a few caches that had caught our attention. Arriving at GZ, expecting a long and tricky search, we were surprised to find the container in the first place we looked. Thanks for introducing us to such a wonderful family friendly area, The Coffee's. I'll be back to enjoy some water activities in the future.
Found it on a nice peaceful night for a walk and the kids had fun finding it with a torch
Found with gwd.aussie.First time I have visited the blue rock dam - what a lovely location with quite a number making the most of the location on a fine Sunday . A quick find for the first cache of the day giving us time to do the Blue Rock Lake loop caches before lunch. Thanks, Mr Coffee
Really like this dam area.Found without much trouble. Now off to do the Blue Rock Lake loop caches.Out caching with D@geoThank you for the hide Mr Coffee
Yep senses obviously weren’t enacted. There was a very obvious spot but no cigar. Searched for a while - maybe next time
After a nice walk around the Blue Rock Lake Loop I decided to finish off with this one, which I ended up getting my hands on within 2 seconds of starting my search! Beautiful day down here and thanks for the cache, loved the idea of it and hope to find more puzzles like it.
Quick find after a couple of fun days canoeing and SUP around Blue Rock Dam. Thanks for placing this here
Wow, that was different.
Thought this may be hard for seasoned cachers but we didn’t have a problem.
Quickest puzzles we have ever done!
We found it on one of those perfect days…. The water as flat as Mr Coffee’s battery on the day he came out here to place the cache!

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to The Coffee's for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Found it!! Think my skills are improving saw this spot as soon as we drove in and thought if i was a small geocache thats where would I be.
Thanks for a nice spot.
Thanks for a nice spot.
Challenge accepted and the search started way before GZ - everything blue became suspicious lol even the blue tags on the trees. But my Geo instincts prevailed and cache was in hand soon enough.
First time I have visit the blue rock dam. What a great area for adult and children. The first cache of the day an old one. Now to do the Blue Rock Lake loop caches.
Thanks, Mr Coffee
Thanks, Mr Coffee
We have frequented this site a number of times and always left empty handed
Today after seeing this was in place and had many find we stopped wandered to the best looking cache hiding spot.... Geokids came up empty handed once the slower legs caught up we searched the same and soon had the container in hand and log signed.... kids sighing "but we looked there"
Off to find a swimming hole for a dip

This was very simple on a very quiet blue rock lake. Only one fisherman and he only caught one fish!
Today we took True Blue, our GeoPrado for a drive out to Blue Rock Dam.
The last time we were here was over near the dam wall, for a friend's 21st birthday, a few years ago. Arriving today expecting a crowd like Flemington tomorrow. Pleasantly surprised that there were not too many people here at all.
Using the GeoMutts for a convenient cover story, the cache was found in the second place I looked. Sadly the previous finder hadn't closed the lid correctly and the log book was soaked.
Retuning to the car and +Wife dried the container and seal whilst I arranged a nice dry stone paper log and ziplock bag. All in good order here Mr. Coffee and the Coffee Clan.
Thanks for a 'mystery with a difference' cache.
A perfect day out at the lake.

A perfect day out at the lake.
In the area on a job .. took the opportunity to have lunch overlooking the beautiful blue lake .. a perfect day for a picnic and collect some nearby caches .. I saw the blue dot on the map ..it was intriguing... we parked nearby and I knew immediately what had to be done .. thanks for placing the cache.. it's all good in its little hiding place
This was a quick 1 min find. I had a bad feeling my caching senses would be off after not doing much caching due to covid. But it was very easy and in the obvious spot. Tftc
This one caused us lots of pain. We both looked in the obvious spots, and we both reckon we had given the area a thorough search, but we kept coming up empty. If Rebel hadn’t have been with us we would still be looking. A well hidden cache we should have found much faster.
A lovely day after the past few miserable, wet, windy and earthquaky days, so we decided to team up again with Rebel Acts again and do a few local caches we hadn’t got to. Many of the logs are signed RASP because the alliance is back in action!

Last time I was at this spot for a bit of fishing, I contemplated wandering over for a solo attempt but got distracted. This time, Team Gruidae and I abandoned our youngsters with Daddy Long Legs and waddled over expecting a long-ish search. Team Gruidae found it in the first place she looked. Well, that was an anticlimax. TFTC Mr Coffee and Clan.
Mummy Short Legs and I set off to try and find this cache after a wonderful morning out caching the newly placed Blue Rock loop caches. Leaving Daddy Short Legs to supervise the Spiderlings and the Cranelets whilst they play in the park, we set off expecting a lengthy search ahead. We both set about searching the most obvious spot and the cache was quickly found albeit well camouflaged! A successful day of caching was had, for the first time I have found every cache in a single town! TFTC!

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions I am unable to do maintenance on this cache and will monitor the situation, when restrictions allow me too I will enable the cache with a maintenance visit.
I will attend to this cache at the end of this month or sooner, it sounds like its has gone and I will look at other options when I get to it.
Sorry for the delay in disabling but due to Covid I did not see a need to rush.
Cheers

We hunted high and low but to no avail. Found what I thought was a promising spot but no cache. Widened our search to 100m radius but nothing. Will have a look some other time
A beautiful sunny final day of winter and what better to do that wander round looking in all the spots a cache might be... however the spots we searched didn't turn up any caches, or ants just one lizard tail scurrying away as we disturbed the sun basking it was doing.... while we waited for PAF to get back to us we gave up the search and chucked in a line for a spot of fishing even that was no good today. PAF hint in hand and other hints from clues still did not bring us to a find today. Given the speed at which others have found this and the time we have spent over 1 year apart with no finds we are wondering if it is still in its hinding place?
A lovely day out but we would really like a smile here.

2nd attempt 10 May'19 - DNF (4 pairs of eyes looking)
I'm done! (Should be renamed to "There's a cache here somewhere but don't bother using a GPS".)

Our second time looking for this one and this time there were four of us and we still couldn't come up with the cache, nice place for a visit though.
We thought we’d give this a go, so followed the instructions. The point to start the search was easy to identify. I was given about 15 minutes to find it before we moved on by The Driver. I tried the most likely place I could see, tried a bit further from there, but was caught amongst Jewel Spider webs and decided to give up. We’ll have to come back one day.
I'm blue...though we did enjoy our fish n chips down by the lake. Searched & searched in my obvious & not so obvious places but obviously could not find your obvious place...maybe next time I'm in the area I will give it another shot.
Nope. Couldn't find it despite have a good look around a large part of the area. At least we enjoyed the scenery of the lake. Can't say the same about the cache search though.
Today was not our day locating this one. Wandered around with the song stuck in C1's head looking in locations, obviously not where the CO would hide a cache, although we have found a couple of them already, but this didn't help us today.
We shall be back to look again, singing.

Looked in all the obvious places and just about to give it away then spotted something that rang a bell, and on closer examination, the it was. signed the log and on to the next part of the days travels. thanks for the cache coffee clan
Thanks to the description, this one took us about 30 seconds from parking the car. Lots of ants!
Beautiful spot though!
Beautiful spot though!
AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Pulled up here and was instantly overwhelmed with possibilities. Was it left, was it right, was it behind me or down the hill....???!!!??? Ok. Read the logs. Read the clue. Where would I hide it??? Safe to say... none of the above. After randomly walking around in circles for a while looking at the obvious places... I decided to systematically search. Start at the left and work my way over. Frustrated, i messaged Teammoss5 and Team Smokey Bear who tried to help without giving it away. Headed to where I thought they were talking about. "Dig deeper" they said. I couldnt have rummaged any deeper if it tried. It wasnt there. I was giving up. The sun was coming down and I was running low on patience. As I was walking back to the car thinking "Im just obviously not a D4 Geocacher...." when I turned around and thought of one more possibility... It wasnt where I thought it would be. It wasnt in the direction I thought it would be. But thought, why the hell not, Ive looked everywhere else. Sure enough... the bugger was there!!!!! It was the replacement log. Didnt find the original one. One was good enough )))) TFTC
So the story goes that this cache had been muggled. Today I met up with a few other cachers here to do The Black Mesa Invasion GC2Y70N and one of said cachers replaced the supposedly missing cache. 88andy88 and I headed off across the park for a look. A good 20m away we spotted a cache, realised it was the original, not the one just replaced. Quickly signed and rehidden as Team Smokey Bear were on the way. They walked straight past to the newly hidden cache. Good laughs all round. We ended up signing both caches and now only one remains hidden in a place where you might hide a cache. Thanks Coffee's.
Ha ha new cache old cache signed both did think of putting a few more throw downs with so many locations to hide one but was a good laugh with mates time for a paddle

16/4/17 4:34 pm #2351 Today was the day organised for a local night cache and this one was also on our list and after one of the team had contacted the CO about possibly replacing it as he had previously found this one , we put our thinking caps on and out we went looking for where i would put a cache.
So after 5 mins i found it.... where i may have hidden one but funny enough i found the missing original and the brand new one was somewhere else that was a little more original.
So we left the fresh one in its proper place and had a laugh at how i always seem to find the hard ones.
Thanks for the adventure.

I PAF for this one as it was taking too long. Seems we disturbed a bull ant nest there was millions of them. Not sure it's even there. Will send co a message to enquire
After doing a bit of driving we decided to give this one a go after reading the description i could think of 2 places that this cache could be in. Turns out my first thought was right leaving the car and air con running grannygeo64 took off to find this in the second place we look in. Tftc
Finally found this one so pleased to have found it our first one like this tftc as usual the travel bug is missing from cache found with lilmissgeo and apple460
Well, after turning in circles every which way, we were not able to find this one. Perhaps another time?
With misschief18 and Bentley TB

Out for a drive today with taurus1955 and BentleyTB. Looked everywhere where we thought might be a possible hiding place, but could not locate the cache today. A few cars at the car park- all empty. Owners must have gone fishing.
After a loooooong search while Geochild almost gave up, Geodad found it. Nice idea for a hide. TFTC SL
Found the tree in one of the pictures. And the massive stump near by. Not used to search with zero idea of general area. Good idea though! One of my favourite places.
Found after a bit of wandering following an early dip in Blue Rock - swapped a bug for a pair of scissors TFTC
Found by edmil and maddie - well maddie claims it even though I pointed her in the direction. Took all of 2 minutes to find.
We went out for a drive and ended up in the area. We haven't been too active in the GC scene of late but we figured a cache would be in the locale and checked on the Ipad - sure enough this one popped up and we decided to give it a go. I told maddie to check a location while I moved to check another. I only got half way we maddie yelled that she had found it.
Log was signed but no swap mad
Thanks for the cache Mr coffee. Seems we haven't lost our touch. I reckon this was also worth a visit by our Micro compass Rose Geocoin to mark a great ;ocation.

Found this cache today with my Dad (tmether). Swapped Helicopter for an Olympic Koala. TFTF
with Shep&co. find went to mrs Vint who decided to look after we had been looking for ages.
Saw K I bug found it so was determined to give it another go!...took about half an hour, and was about to give up, before finding another hiddy hole. Sure enough..clever hide TFTC
We have looked for this one once before however could not find our previous log. It may be that we were so disgusted with ourselves at the DNF that we chose not to complete a log. Anyway we were BLUE from frustration (at least 30 minutes searching!) and also the cold. We were searching in the rain, without coats, and of course that is never conducive to quick and easy finds. This time we were very excited that it only took about two minutes to make the find. TNLNSL Thanks to the Coffee's for the previous frustration and for placing a cache in such a pretty location.
3rd go at his one... finally found "spot" from looking at photo..but is it still there? ...
"stumped" by this one, !
"stumped" by this one, !
Yes Mr Coffee its still there according to those who have logged it recently, It hasn't morphed into a pink elephant or anything strange....... unless you have jacked up on too much coffee and those electric bikes of yours are sending out fumes.
Quick walk after dinner to the boat ramp. Finally found this cache after several failed attempts. Great location and love the fact that the coordinates don't lead you straight to the cache. TFTC.
Took us around 10 min to find it. First place we looked there was a very large tiger snake so we went in opposite direction.
Well, that was interesting cache find.
I spent about 15 mins checking the most obvious of places and then went had a look at some other not so obvious spots and then I found it in the most obvious spot of all. "Not"
Enjoyed this one, took about 25 minutes all up

Out with kmps to find some caches on the 13th & after an extensive search kmps found this one. TFTC
Not an easy find as it was not were l thought it would be. Thanks Mr.Coffee and the Coffee Clan FTC.
Knowing this was probably missing gave the area a good search up to 100m out at times. I think I know now the type of hide but after using up the allocated time it was time to move on. I see know writing this log that this search may of been before wyrdsister who from his log as now replaced the cache today sometime. When next in the area I'll try again. A great area and at the time the sun was out and the views were very nice indeed.
Such an easy find if you are the one replacing a cache.... Do I get a #FTF#?lol
Its ok at least I beat Bounty trackers and De ja vu....... A fab location and great lack of info to keep the game interesting. TFTC

Has not been found in 12 months? looked around in all the obvious spots to no avail. Thanks for our second visit to this park. Cache should be called green with envy for those who found it or red in the face if it is still actually there and we have missed it. (It happens) LOL

Hi, Could any future finders please let us know if our Scotland TB is still in this cache or if it has vanished, thanks.
Found on Australia Day before too many muggles settled in for their picnic lunches. We had been here a while back with geo-son and I remembered looking in so many places, but wasn't sure if he found it. We decided to stand back, scratch our heads in thought for a while, think like a cacher and bingo! SL and left Travel Bug. Thanks for enticing us back to this beautiful spot.
