we set off early ish in the day for a drive out to South arm as my Newly tassie friend had not been there and was told it was worth a look. we stopped at Cliffton beach on the way it is a lovely beach and i took several photos . This is a rather late log as i am finally catching up and logging some of the caches so i am hoping that i did not mixed too many up. thank you for this cache i took nothing and left nothing .
A nice quick find on the way back home after a day out caching around South Arm. TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
Izzy and I had race to get there first no animals only ants. Left a couple of sheep tftc
In the area for training, some time on my hands so slipped out under cover of darkness. A quick and easy find, however, no menagerie present, save for a few possums and wallaby.. thanks..!!
One of twenty-one caches found today with Zozetta. We began the day at Honeywood Drive where we found a cache which we had previously had a DNF on, we then drove towards Sandford collecting caches along the way. Most of the caches we found were traditionals, but we found two excellent multis as well. A fun day out with many quality caches found.
The coords were a bit off on this one but we still made a quick find. No animals around today.
Thanks for the cache Brekel!

A nice quick find on a glorious day, while out and about trying to rack up some points.
I didn't spot any animals in the paddock, maybe the trees have grown a bit since this cache was hidden - and it's always nice to find an older cache that is still in good order.
Thanks Brekel, for the cache and the adventure.
Cheers, EPs.

Nice to find a quick one as I head towards South arm to go for a walk
My first for 2022

After flying in from Townsville yesterday I claimed today to collect some challenges and old caches.
Sadly no animals today but good to pick up an old one. We did stop for some horses down the road.
Thanks Brekel for creating and placing this for us to enjoy.

Have passed this cache so many times, so today I had lots of spare time before I had to get to my destination so was the day to stop and sign the log. No furry critters to be seen unfortunately but lots of creepy crawly critters (of the insect variety) in the leaf litter. TFTC.
{Boxing day 2005... I remember what i was doing then, watching cricket [^] }
I love Old-Gentleman Caches and this one was located and the log signed at 13:40 on Thursday 18 February 2021.

10 years to the day since we first found this cache (our first find) we checked after recent dnf and cache is there under rocks at base of multi trunk gum tree. Coords good at 3 m.
Our last one for the day thanks Brekel.
It would have been nice to see some of the animals but did see rabbits nearby. Having just had a delicious meal at the South Arm RSL, whose Chef makes a very tasty Combination Bird’s Nest, if we tarried any longer we would have been late checking in to our accommodation.
Thankyou for a nice end to our caching day.

A nice easy find out the front of the local zoo to cap of a wonderfully adventurous day. [^]
Im guessing most of the fluffys had gone to bed early as only Mr Rabbit was there to greet us.
TFTC Brekel, and thanks for both looking after it and for the PT whitewebbs.

Yes, sorry cache has gone with nbn works. Will replace soon as maintaining this cache
Very recent earthworks here, area is fresh clay, no sign of any cache. May need checking.
My wife and I were on a drive killing time on our holiday. We had a rental car full of petrol that had to be used. That was until I remembered I had to fill it up when we dropped it off.
This older cache caught my attention and so we had to stop in to say hello. We didn’t really have a destination in mind, we were just looking for some cool views to ogle and this cache broke up the drive nicely. tftc

Nice to be able to park off the main road, a short walk and the cache was found. Thanks Brekel.
Thanks for this Cache. Short stop to find with Henry11! Best regards from germany
out and about with the Rafas caching, another easy find with clues. TFTC TNLN log dry. first for the afternoon. anyone for a McDonalds farm.
The menagerie was looking a bit quiet today (only animal we found was a single ladybug), but still a nice little spot to stop.
TFTC!
TFTC!
Now we are back in Tassie, checked on cache, all good not wet at all. Last finder hasn't even signed the very dry log book. Maintenance not required.
Found easily, container is damaged and has water and mud in it, even log is starting to get wet needs maintenance.
Disappointing that the menagerie is now gone but an easy find. Think I signed the wrong date on the log again sigh! TF this maintenance
Getting a feel for the area around Hobart so picked this one in Lauderdale and South Arm with 63ROOS for day.... Here strong windy and ligh rain... hide well.. thanks

Was about to replace cache but now disabled. Have emailed reviewer as happy to adopt the cache.
Cache replaced. All good to go again. Animal swaps and 4 animal pathtags added for swaps. Hint under bluemetal colour stone near large gum tree. I found it seven years ago without a GPS but today trying to find with GPS to check coords, the GPS took a while to settle. Animals across the road have moved on as house recently sold.
Enabling cache.
Good to see the Geocaching Community willing to keep these older caches going.
Thanks Janet.

Hi
This cache appears to have some problems. It is the cache owner's responsibility to read the logs and check the cache to sort out any problems with it and give an indication of when it may be up and running again for people to find.
**The cache is being Disabled to give the Cache Owner an opportunity to investigate and fix the apparent issues.**
Once the cache is operational again, the CO should write an *Owner Maintenance* log advising that the promlems have been fixed, and to remove the *Needs maintenance* attribute (red cross) if that is showing on the cache page. The CO can then write an Enable log to return the cache to play.
If the cache cannot be fixed it should be archived.
**If there is no response to this log after 30 days the cache will be Archived.**
The [Geocache Maintenance guideline](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance) explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported.

Hi there Brekel.
We found your cache **"Mareniko's Menagerie"** at 1:16:00 PM today. (This makes our grand total 18815).
It looks like the heavy wind and rain has abated, so we decided to head down the South Arm see what Opossum Bay looks like.. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour today & ended up finding a variety of container types, and sizes. Our cache count was 4 caches today, with 2 DNF's.
Thanks for placing the cache here. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The cache was full of water, the lid is uv damaged and broken & the log book is sopping wet. We spent some time trying to dry it out, but it really needs some "Owner TLC"
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Hi there Brekel,
RE: Your cache **"Mareniko's Menagerie"**
The CO has done nothing to repair the cache since the NM log two months ago, they appear to be inactive and we believe the cache to be abandoned.
As others have noted (as far back as June 2017), we found it full of water. The log book is wet, the lid is broken and unable to seal.
Regards
Ian & Penny

A little skink wriggled out! Cache container really needs replacing - the lid is all busted up. Log book a bit moist, but signable. Thanks
Container full of water however surprisingly the log book is only ever so slightly damp. TFTC
Holiday of lifetime in Tassie, caching is a great way to travel around. Dippa46 and I are collecting caches to mark our travels. TFTC
Found it. On our holiday around Tas. MazzyMay and I had an interesting time looking for caches on our travels. TFTC.

Absolutely destroyed by water. Log intact in plastic bag but all else drenched. Needs maintenance. TFTC
