ALSO visiting this area soon, so looking 4ward to the possibility of visiting this cache. Good luck in replacing it soon.
Visiting from northern Minnesota (US - moose country) week after next, this is one of the few within striking distance from my conference, so I hope you can get it back in business!
Cool that you hid Prisoner's Toil as a wedding cache, wish I could pull that off...

Hmm, on our way home and stopped off for this one. What a beautiful park. Unfortunately hunted and hunted but couldn't find the cache.
Stopped in to show the rest of the troop this hidden gem and thought I'd show them the cache too. Doesn't seem to be there, at least not where I previously found it.

We spent a bit of time on this - firstly trying to get to it from up the hill then realising that it was really at the bottom of the hill. However even though we searched for a long time we couldn't find the cache.
Thanks

Have been to Napier many times and never knew this was here, what a beautiful little gem it is.
Found cache OK and signed log. Many thanks.

Here for the Deco Decanted Weekend. Search to no avail last time we were here but found to worries this time. Great little park and waterfall. Thanks for the hunt.
We took a prison tour AND found the cache. It was interesting to learn that the prisoners had to cut away most of the hill to build the waterfall. Good place for a cache.
Found @ 6:45am. Just had to collect a cache whilst visiting NZ this week. With time being very limited I got out fairly early but had to wait at least until there was enough daylight for the final search of GZ (didn't bring a torch). Fortunately the clues and coords were good and cache was in hand, signed and replaced nice and quick. Was hoping to find a cache with enough space for a TB but that will have to wait. TFTC. Enjoyed the area.
Found easily enough, the cache had fallen from its hide & was caught in the undergrowth below! replaced it where I think it came from, cache is in good condition, good hide great little place. Thanks for the work done here.
#319 Second of three quick finds in the afternoon, before heading back to Auckland. Nice man made waterfall and park.

A late night cache this time, very dark in the gardens, we approached armed with torches and trekking poles for safety defence in case we met someone lurking in the bushes! The waterfall was nicely lit up and we enjoyed the search, it didn't take long although the cache is quite different from the notes description...it is now a small round pot, and not in a bag.
We took some photos and spent some time fooling around with torches doing the TV Channel ONE thing, sending beams of light skyward, looking for something up there... but not sure what!!
Quite an enjoyable little adventure tonight, Thanks.

Our second of the day, also second caching visit to this beautiful park!
We were going to climb up the waterfall after and check out the view from up there but while we were logging our find in the cache it started to cloud over and get cold. Next time!
Thanks a lot for the cache =)

Thanks to Carla6 for placing a new cache in this spot. Hope everyone enjoys the garden and waterfall.
Found the spot, I am happy to replace a another micro-cache here is you wish to re-instate this. Thanks Carla
I was seduced by the description regardless of being cacheless! I arrived on a rental bike after coming in on the cruise ship Statendam for a day. What a marvellous surprise this park was. I was in awe of the waterfall, pools and garden. Afterwards I grunted and wheezed my way to the top lookout. Many thanks!
Have been through this park so many times. Popped in for look knowing that we probably wouldn't find it. Found a very nice deep crack in the cliff beneath the tree roots. Hope someone can place another cache in this area soon, its such a lovely spot and there are so many good hiding places throughout the gardens.
got there just before dark,, played a bit of dodge the muggle... found several cracks close to tree roots.... nearly flattened hammer in my haste to remove my hand from the crack and my self from the area,, after meeting the biggest ugliest looking spider I have ever seen.... maybe it was a trick of the fading light and like fish stories it was this big,, no this big... but it sure scared 10 years growth off me....
there were several exposed bits...
beautiful spot worth another visit... thanks for taking us there..
cheers MG

Found with a work mate while down Napier for work at the cricket.
Cache was found rather easily after avoiding muggles out for there early evening stroll.
A nice spot, shame we didn't have a good chance to have a good look around as the van was waiting for us on the road.
Cheers
