This cache was on my to do list due to its age, its just had its 18th birthday and hasnt had much love recently The CO had posted that they may have to archive it if it isnt found so I sent them a message and went on the hunt. I looked, scratched around and hunted high and low for this cache and found possible evidence of where it was once hiding but alas, it seems it was missing. So as I had a spare cache and logbook on board, I replaced it so it can live on and hopefully see a number of years to come. I then sent photos and descriptions to the CO who was very appreciative of its replacement.TFTC DippedidoodaKeep smiling
Having ourselves a little caching tour today after days of miserable weather. Came acoss some locals here going for a walk, but caused us no issues. The issue was not finding what we were looking for no matter how far we widened the search and how many trees with which we became personal friends. So its over and out Dippedidooda.
Keeping my eye on next log. I am rarely up this way now...so if the next log is a DNF I will archive.
Found with the geofamily as we tour Tassie. What an incredible tree when you first arrive. Stunning! Thanks for the cache
Found it, cool little hiding spot, never took anything but left a little trade, tftc
Thanks for the cache Dippedidooda.
Visiting the northwest of the state for a few days with the two GeoGSP's.
Stopped here on our way back to the coast after visiting Waratah.
A straightforward find. Looks like the fairies have visited - a ring of bright red fungi around the tree!

Aquilus1 and I have been on a mission.....a mission to collect Australian states/counties. The target this time was Tasmania, with neither of us having found a cache yet in Tassie. So a loop was planned, starting/finishing in Lonny (even the plane pilot called it this!! Love that!). I was driving so my logs are a little more generic than Aquilus1's, my apologies.
Day #1 Leave Canberra at sparrows, transiting through Melbourne and collecting our car....first things first was to get the oldies along the cataract gorge, which was great as Aquilus1 had never been to Tassie before and its a great place to start. Onwards up the Tamar and then zigzagging across through Devonport, Burnie and eventually ending at Stanley.
Day #2 had us go back to Devonport for a FTF......yay! Then onto Hobart, via Queenstown! Long day through blizzards, hydro power and SO MUCH NOTHING! Beautiful nothing of course
Day #3 around Tassie.....into Huon valley, freezing to death in the water in Clarence, passed Port Arthur to see some caves and ending up in Sorrell
Day #4 was power trailing large letterboxes until we had to head back north to Lonny, via Buckland, Oatlands, Fingal and Scottsdale..... dodging wildlife after dark.....so scary!
Day #5 was a quick duck over to Flinders and back..... car rental place thought we were nuts! Then back to Canberra, safe and snug under my blanket for the -5 night.....now THATS cold!

Love the name of the cache! A county find and it's a good stop. For blue sunny sky the wind had a chill that cut through but a nice quick find and the trees here are noticeable!
Trip log: Day 2 of 5 with GreyHams on our Tasmanian Caching Trip. A trip planned with counties, and caches of quality as we pass. If your cache made our list it had a quality we sort... thank you for your cache!
My first trip to Tassie and what day of highlights and variety it was. Starting at Stanley it was a pretty little village, historic relics and scenic coastal vistas, just lovely. We drove through moss covered forest of ferns, waterfalls by the road and little streams, waterways and lakes shadowed by huge mountains finding caches and exploring as we went.
Queenstown offord a change to mining and more barren landscape but a town time forgot and a yummy pie with earthcache opportunities every where.
It was cold but pleasant enough but with the temp dropping to 1°C and snow on the hill tops as we passed it was no surprise but very cool to have it snow for a long distance as we drove with snow sitting heavy on the ground.
Starting the day with a slight detour way back past Bernie to a Tasmanian FTF opportunity we luckily managed to achieve. We made it almost into Hobart for the night, a distance of such varied and awesome sights with GreyHams list of caches our guide... great day!

We find ourselves in Devonport after a few exploring tassie. Basically done a full lap and we will be back,we have loved all the areas. While waiting for our trip home we decided to go for a drive and see where caching leads us.
Heading home after a caching trip on the west coast I detoured to find this cache. The cedmetery seems to be well cared for.
Heading north from Strahan to Smithton I got SSR to detour to find this rather old cache. It was a real mooving experience.
Thanks dippy.
Thanks dippy.
All good here. I’ve breeze. Hope to see snow. Found, stamped and replaced, with Maggie and Mollie, my GeoWesties, while roaming around Tasmania with our motorhome “Mylittlebus” looking for content for our TASMANIA ALL OVER facebook. Join us there. Thanks for placing this cache (and others), keeping us on our exploring toes.
Found on the way from Devonport to Tullah during my motorcycle holiday on this marvelous island.
We like cemeteries as it can tell you a lot of local history. The cache was located safe and sound as per the hint. Thanks Dippedidooda.
Tassie Trip 23 - Today was a suitable day for a drive around and see some sights and check the roads for a trip later on with the big box behind and the suitability of the road. It was decided that a trip to Waratah to check out a possible camp location.

Thanks Dippedidooda for showing us the interesting location.

Find 06 of 13 for the day and #2141 in total.
Found by Echo! (Echo 3 - Spice 3)
Quiet cemetery here with not a single zombie in sight which made for a quick easy find.

Dippa46 and I have been holidaying around Tassie and collecting caches on the way to mark our journey. Thoroughly enjoying ourselves. TFTC
Found it. On our holiday around Tassie. MazzyMay and I had an interesting time looking for caches on our travels. This one is special as all four of my grandparents are buried there. TFTC.
This cemetery had some very interesting graves. We had to show some interest in the graves (why else would we be visiting a cemetery after all!!?!) because the council were busy mowing it when we arrived.
The cache was well hidden & in good order.

What a lovely rural part of the world to grow up in Dippy - lucky you. Thanks for placing a cache here. Nice easy find.
Two Norwegian travellers on vacation/geocaching in Australia. Travelling by car from Brisbane to Adelaide with stops in interesting and not so interesting places. We have been travelling almost 5000 kilometers before we returned the car in Adelaide last week. Then we flew over to Tassie, hired a new car and will do a rouindtrip the next 2 weeks. After spending 2 days in Hobart in sunshine we started towards Cradle mountain. Had a night in Queenstown before we continued.
Arrived Cradel Mountain Nat. Park yesterday and today our next stop will be Stanley. We started in the morning with heavy rain and wind. The weather in Tassie changes fast and after a few hours the rain was gone and we got sun but still some wind.
Thanks for the story.

Ah, gates. Those wonders for geocachers. May have been a little smug here today but it was hidden from Stumble's Mates view so a given she missed it. And geocaches can't be hid on private property... TFTC.
I was the navigator on the approach to this one so hadn't paid any attention to the surrounds as we pulled up. Being the navigator meant I was also the cache collector. In the position we had parked, I couldn't see beyond the trees and when I realised the cache was behind a fence, I called out to StumbleTrip that we needed to miss this one as it appears its on private property.
ST walked down a litter further and went through the gate at the same time telling me it was a church!! Hmmmmm......need to pay more attention! Anyway, a quick find was made, duties attended and we moved on. TFTC

No traffic in Bourke St today, but we said hello to a few of the residents who are enjoying this lovely peaceful place; SL; TFTC
Out for a drive today, left the geo van at cooee point and headed tp Hellyer Gorge. Suddenly realised we were on Bourke street. Easy find, love these places. Thanks dippendoo...
Quick easy find TFTC what a well cared for place and the big tree here is lovely. I often wonder what a tale some of these old trees could tell if they could talk
We started out this morning from Boat Harbour to Waratah and on to Savage River then back through numerous smaller towns until Burnie and then back to Boat Harbour approximately 330 km round trip. It was a beautiful day, temp was just right and no smoke about. We've enjoyed all the caches and thank the cache owners for them
We've now only got six weeks left of our six month stay (til the end of March '16) from the Kurrajong area, (Blue Mountains) NW of Sydney, to tour in the caravan and also visit our kids and grandkids in the Huon Valley On four previous visits before this visit, we were muggles, so we're having fun finding the caches we didn't even know were here!

This was ay 45 of our trip out of Sydney to visit the southern states of Victoria and Tasmania and day 3 of the Tasmanian part.
This was a nice quick and easy find even though a local muggle stopped the other side of the trees. He was soon on his way and we made the find. After the log had been signed the cache was replaced as found. Thank you for bringing us to this area and thank you for placing this cache for us and others to find.

As we turned onto the road I noticed a sign for a cemetery, ahhhh, that'll be it, I didn't even read the cache description!
We kept driving and sure enough when we got close to where the GPS said GZ was, there was the cemetery.
We parked and went in and the search was relatively short. TFTC!

We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the Land Down Under" ...
Interesting old cemetery. GPS was bouncing around a bit but with the help of the clue we finally came up with a find.
Thanks for the fun Dippedidooda!
