Great view. Tried hard to find the cache but did find a blue tongue lizard instead. Will try again another day.
I solved the Sudoku during one of the lockdowns but this location is about 80km from home (38km as the crow flies) so getting to GZ was difficult. With it being so much cooler today I headed up to the CC for a day of caching. I parked the geomobile at Marie Byles Lookout where the view was good and set off on the walk to GZ. There has obviously been a back burn through this area and it's interesting to see that the cycads are first to resprout and are going really well.On reaching GZ the view was even better! After enjoying the scenery it was caching time. I checked a few spots then believed the GPS and there it was!On opening the container hundreds of furious large ants came out of it. Once they had evacuated the area I rescued the logbook and was able to leave my mark.TFTC and puzzle and views # 5716

This cache must have been in my solved list for at least 5 years. Finally, today we visited Bouddi National Park for a nice coastal walk and picking up a few caches along the trail.
What a great scenic point this is. The views are absolutely stunning on this sunny day. Coordinates were spot on and after signing replaced as found.

Exquisite views, absolutely breathtaking and beautiful in itself. The trail leading here is phenomenal, as for the cache itself, nice smiley. FP for everything else, thanks Pesky GeoMonkey, you have a winner here.
Found with Baby J Man, gorgeous view that we wouldn't have come to had it not been for this cache.
Favouriting for this reason, cache in alright nick given its been here for 15+ years. No problems finding - a lot more straightforward than expected.
Cheers

Our six year old is really into puzzle books at the moment and Sudoko is a mainstay so this puzzle cache was right up his alley. He solved the puzzle a while ago but we inly just managed to get out here for a walk after school.
This is a lovely walk that we have completed a few times and it was nice to have another reason to get out here. The bushland is amazing in this area.
We managed to make a fairly quick find at GZ and escapes back to the car before the rain hit.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache!

We are on a five day holiday to the Central Coast, staying at the NRMA/Big4 Ocean Beach Holiday Resort (caravan Park) in Umina Beach. Looking to do some of the many Central Coast Adventure Labs, visit some previously solved Puzzle/Mystery cache GZs, and to collect any other caches we come across during our daily travels. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base.
Today we visited Empire Bay, Kincumber South, Avoca Beach, Copacabana, North Avoca, Terrigal, MacMasters Beach, Bouddi, and Killcare Heights. Completed two Adventure Labs, and partly completed another, and collected a variety of other caches, including an EarthCache, a MultiCache, and numerous Traditional caches. This was the 21st of 25 finds for the day (day 2), and 26th find of the holiday.
The family's chief puzzle solver had also solved this one before leaving home, so it too was added to our holiday cache list, and it was to be our next cache stop today. We enjoyed the bushwalk, and the views, and quickly uncovered the hide and had CIH at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Thanks Pesky GeoMonkey for the puzzle & cache, it's another oldie that's still going strong.

A slippery wet descent and easier climb.
Baktrak soon triumphed, aided by the echidna.
Can't say I liked the leeches though.
So nice to find an antique cache.
Thanks PeskyGeoMonkey

Up visiting rellos again and had had this on the to do list for years so finally made the effort. Mummypenny is not a keen bushwalker these days but put in the hard yards. We arrived at the lookout and were greeted by a large echidna. It turned out that it was burrowing very close to the cache but we didn't realise that until after we'd spent quite a while looking everywhere else. It seems the original guards are long gone. The container is a little bit chewed and the log very full but in good shape considering its vintage. Very glad to finally get to this one. Thanks Pesky GeoMonkey.
Beautiful walk on a grey day . We have owned a little house here for nearly 50 years and have never gone down this little track! All our local bushwalking and we missed this one. Thank you so much….
Out caching with GeoIan today. Enjoyed the walk, beautiful views and thanks to GeoIan for the solve. TFTC
Out cacheing with Madrabbitoh today. Thought we would travel down here, and have a coastal walk. Did this in conjuction with the AL. A great view from here. I really like Sudoku, so the puzzle was a quick work over last night. TFTC.
Second day of caching at the central coast. Today it's Terrigal and Boudhi national Park. A bit more overcast, but still warm and humid. Early start makes it easier for sure.

Our for a walk in Bouddi with some of the best views on the coast, this spot included. Looked for a few minutes before opening the hint and got it quickly after. Thanks for the cache!
Found with Shaneo58, while down at the Central Coast, near the Bouddi NP. Solved this a while ago, and last week NP was doing helicopter drops so no access. Nice way down to the final location, The banksias must have moved away from the cachegood view over the ocean.
Cache replaced as found. **Thanks For The Cache** Pesky GeoMonkey.
This is the 1st cache of 6 for today making a grand total of 3205 at 9:56:00 AM on ThursdayJun2021

Found with BillHill531. Couldn't find the banksia men but found the cache. Love the rock formations, the Red gums and the scenery. TFTC & the series Pesky GeoMonkey.
Took a bit of searching must has walked over it a few times!! Love this walk and view, TFTC.
Up from Sydney to do some geocaching and the Coast. We probably solved this puzzle back in June 2016 around the time that we found the Hard version. Today we walked out to GZ and jus loved the view. What a great place and a favourite from us.SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Enjoyed the awesome views but didn't find the cache. The walk from Putty Beach to Maitland Bay Beach was so crowded today. I'll be back some time to have another look.
Wow what a view! Thanks for bringing me here. Enjoying some geocaching on my weekend away on the Central Coast. TFTC
On a meandering day out geocaching, due to a necessary change of plans with fires in the area we had been planning to visit, we called by to search for this cache - it was good to be able to do so as Mr Team GBS had solved the Sudoko some months back in possible anticipation of finding ourselves in this area. The cache itself was located soon enough once we had made our way towards the rather stunning Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found but not before having discovered the GazaC Trackable. Thanks so much for the cache at this lovely location and for the puzzle. Greetings from Zimbabwe

The Geowife is heading up to the Central Coast today - the first time since our sojourn overseas. She will be busy between 11 and 4, meaning I have a few hours to grab some caches.
But rather than a binge, today I'm targeting two specific caches - that aren't particularly close to each other. And I can work in a previous DNF which isn't too far from one of them.
In the end I made six finds - most with bush walks of varying lengths. A pleasant, somewhat leisurely, day.
Pity about the DNF...
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
I've actually solved quite a few puzzles on the Central Coast that I haven't grabbed yet - including this entire series.
Started well - taking the wrong trail - but was soon heading for GZ.
Once therfe it was a quick find. Not for the first time today the hide seemed to call to me from a distance.
Made the grab, signed and replaced, then the walk back out and a 45 minute drive to pick up the Geowife.
A good end to the day in a spot with a great view.

Found after a short search with TeamScozzie! Wow! Fantantastic views! Fav point from me! Thank you PeskyGeomonkey! : )
Spent the weekend in Killcare which involved some amazing bush walks and of course some caching along the way. This was first attempted cache which unfortunately left me feeling slightly deflated with a DNF.
I feel reasonably confident I was searching in the right location, having found all the items mentioned in the clue but after much prodding, poking and looking I just could not find anything cache like. I extended my search area but without seriously upping the terrain category I feel like I exhausted all possible hide locations so had to leave empty handed. Despite this, the view from GZ was awesome so the trek was still well worth the effort. I wonder if the cache is still actually there?

I have the puzzle for this cache solved for quite a long time now and today while I was relatively close to the area , I thought I would stop to make the find. I had a little trouble finding the right access trail at first as my gps kept saying I was beside the trail not on it. I really enjoyed the walk and the views from GZ are amazing . At first I was thinking I needed to go lower but had a Doh moment when I saw the actual location which I should have found sooner. Thanks for the cache P3sKy_Geomonkey tnln replaced as found sl
Part of a hat trick today.
Beautiful walk and amazing views. Not kidding about being hidden in plan sight. But still took 15mins to find due to muggles.
Amazing place, why would you want to live anywhere else.

Down south at the Central Coast of NSW for a large family holiday with IolantheK.
This is one of about 20 or so caches we did in the area.
IolantheK realised that she had already solved and DNFed this one 5 years ago, so with co-ords already available we attempted a revisit [^]
Again it was IolantheK who was very pleased to make the find and get this nemesis turned into a smiley [^]
What a magnificent view

T-Tech and I are holidaying at The Entrance for a week over Christmas with our extended family, and today we are taking a drive out to Killcare and Wagstaffe.
While we enjoyed our lunch break we had a look at nearby caches and I was surprised to see a couple of previous DNFs, both Sudokus from this CO! It was nearly 6 years ago! After success at the first one we decided to tackle this one as well. The walk through here was absolutely lovely [^] The bush was so colourful, with various shades of green, and trees that are orange! A fresh breeze kept the heat at bay, too. At GZ we searched all over, then turned to the hint for some inspiration, but after quite a few minutes we still didn't have the find. Isn't wasn't until I had admired the view that I spotted the container! It was in plain sight, so I made sure to tuck it away properly and cover it. TFTC and for bringing us here, Pesky GeoMonkeys.

Out on a small cache run up the coast with TARDIS 0061 as we celebrate reaching our 2000th cache by finding a few mystery caches. The puzzle was solved many moons ago and has been on our solved but unfound list since. After a short search the container was found. With the cache in hand, we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache container and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache Pesky GeoMonkey.

I recommend wearing mozzie repellant to this one, I'm sure I got at least 20 mozzie bites but it was worth it for the view!

Solved the sudoku puzzles ages ago and noticed recently they have been unloved for over 6 months. Great opportunity to enjoy a beautiful winter's day with 2 muggle friends and go for some nice bush walks in Bouddi NP.
Missed this on our walk out and had to visit on the return trip. With 200m to go we all tried to see who could get closest to GZ just by counting our steps (no GPS allowed). We all ended up being about 25m short but with the aid of the iPhone, soon had CIH.

7.10pm of streak day #32
I solved this Sudoku puzzle a month back along with the "easy" one in the series. Determined to solve ALL three with pencil and paper! So far so good (2/2) but I am currently stuck on the "hard" one :-S ..anyway so although we recently completed our 31 day alt cache streak (yay!), I thought we may as well keep going for as long as we can as I still have a few more solved mystery caches sitting in the out tray and still plenty of trads within just 5kms of home. Its been a long week and even though I got home a bit late today the youngest geokid was keen to come out too to do this one. A lovely walk in to what we thought was GZ but could not come up with the goods. Good view here of Maitland Bay thru the trees though. iGPS jumping around a bit with all the rocks. After about 20 mins geokid expanded the search and in so doing, found an incredible view and called me over. He's right it is just fantastic! Checked the iGPS and sure enough it's within a steady 10m of here so quickly got back to work and counted the numbers down to finally make a (somewhat exposed) find. We found a very good rock from nearby to use for re-hiding but placed the cache back in exactly the same spot, this time just covering better with this rock. We discovered the Kiwi geocoin and then sat a little longer to enjoy the view before it got too dark for us to get out. Thanks for another beautiful spot, Pesky. How good is this game!

This took longer to find than it should have as we were put off by the hint about the Banksia. They are around but not guarding as suggested. TFTC. Great view.
I am house sitting in the area for a month.
So I am out to find all geocaches in the area.
Today i was out and about on the MTB for about a 20km ride.
The first stop was here. I do like Sudoku's so this was a quick solve.
Once at GZ the views were awesome on such a sunny day. Blue Ocean as far as you can see.
A quick find as it was exposed. Re-hid with a bit more cover.
Thanks for the cache.

Found on a trip down here on adventure Monday with the_garbageman and his two kids. After finding the Middle Sea Diamond, we started heading home, but could not resist driving so close to this one. So we stopped and went for a walk. This was not the hardest walk for the day, but we were getting tired and this just drained us. still, well worth it for the views.
Thanks for the fantastic views and nice sized cache!
Thanks for the fantastic views and nice sized cache!
Tombi joined forces with myself and my two geokids (aged 2 and 4) today for the reforming of Adventure Monday. We had a range of options, but the weather looked good and the kids were in a good mood, so we decided to take on a few fairly solid challenges today.
This was our last cache for the day, as the two year old had clearly run out of steam and had several meltdowns on the way back. Too many hills, too many rock shelves, and not enough milkshakes! Even the way I carried her back from GZ wasn't right. At least the screaming would have scared away any beasties
Had solved this maybe a year ago? Longer? Feels like forever but I never seem to have enough time to come down here. Today however was different as we specifically targeted a nearby cache in order to fill one of my remaining DT grid combos.
A quick find at GZ with great views. Kids made some swaps and added several more of their own. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC

Solved the puzzle sometime ago. Geocaching today in this area, it was time to find Sudoku-Medium. Quick finding. I'd like to say more, but it would give it away..
The container had its lid open. Fortunatelly everything was dry.
I grabbed a 'case' of a 'Scouts' geocoin empty. Not sure if the geocoin is lost or just separated from its case. Anyway, I'll try to trace it. Thanks GeoMonkeys!

ah thankyou internet gods for creating sudoku solvers.
Was in the area in the endless search to try and find somewhere to fix a major problem with the car and decided to do this one to get the souvenir. Probably should have thought about that idea beforehand as was on the bicycle.
Was a quick find. I think a few people have probably rolled the rock away to far and replaced it with different camo.
Some day I might do the others in the series.

After finding the "easy" one under the nose of the NP ranger telling us we can't access the NP, this one became a double attempt. On arrival another ranger said "go away, we're spraying" though he kindly added they'd be finished by around 2PM. So we trundled off to do lunch & the hard one before returning. Tracks were open & ranger gone so off we toddled. We enjoyed the bushwalk to our calculated spot where, after finding what we sought, we enjoyed the gob-smacking view even more. Then we returned via the roadside lookout we'd missed on the way here for more views. Thanks for this little series. Sudokus are always fun (for one of us anyway) & we both enjoy bushwalking so they were right up our alley.
On a Central Coast raid, I was having quite good luck today - a series of quick finds. This was to be the first combo breaker (the second one later in the morning was Sudoku - Hard)!
Got the a beautiful GZ, and then proceeded to make the T harder than required by ascending, and exploring the cave underneath (which is awesome by the way). Came back up, and with fingers numb from the artic wind read the hint and some logs. Wandered around and around, until finally spotted the hidey-hole right near where it was meant to be!

Had to wait about 30 mins as very popular path sat arvo
Eventually had a quick grab.
Swapped geocoin (Dirtsquirters First Coin) for soldier TB but unable to log as missed that tracking code.

Great find. Weren't sure if our sudoku was correct, but coordinates were spot on. Thanks a lot.
We all solved the Suduko then set off to find the Easy and Medium.
A nice walk through the bush and a spectacular view at the end greeted us as we found the cache.
This cache doesn't get found that often so we took a few of the trackables with us to move on to other caches.

Found 5:17 pm with SkyPirate~. I had worked this one out some time ago but I needed to line up a day to go and do the find. Today I needed a cache to keep the streak going and with some persuasion had SkyPirate coming along. We arrived near the lookout by geovehicle and realised we weren't going to get to GZ from here so mapped out the appropriate track to reach GZ. At GZ started looking around and the cache was soon in hand along with a sigh of relief I had it right. After signing the log and some photos I replaced the cache along with dropping off some TBs/geo coins. A soldier traveling around, a boot travelling around, a chicken wanting to travel and a pencil geocoin travelling to US California Coast. Thanks for the cache. I'm sticking a fav on this one as it's a good little puzzle and a decent cache. I placed a plastic bag around the log book.
Found parking my car and walked through beautiful forest toward the cache.
Thanks for the hunting and cache.

Once complete head out for the find after finding SuDoKu - Easy.
This would be one of our favourite caches.
Signed log while enjoying the view and I was reminded just how beautiful the coast is!!!

I ran the gauntlet of this puzzle over a cup of tea last night, and happily I found that the numbers fell into place reasonably easily after getting stuck early and taking a leap of faith. Back when I was working on St Pauls Cathedral in Melbourne, the peggy used to buy a paper each day, but never did the sodokus. From time to time I'd do them and found I enjoyed the methodical nature of these puzzles.
Good to see I've still got it!
Thanks for the cache GeoMonkeys. Back home the mystery caches usually just end up in back alleys and fenceposts, so I've really felt spoilt by some of the resolved GZs of the local batch in terms of location... And this is no exemption. In the last few days I've been to dozens and dozens of awesome vantage points but this was probably one of my favourites.

This would have been one of the first puzzles I solved when I started geocaching about a year ago. And what a lovely location to eventually find the cache in! I took a plastic crayfish and the echidna trackable (though I think I called it a hedgehog in the logbook) and left a USA geocoin and a 'Kinder Surprise' style Star Wars mini-figure.
Thanks for the cache GeoMonkeys, all your caches have been good

My partner for the day, Mumma-Kel, had already done this one, but said I should do it while we were in the area as the view is to die for. A quick smoko to work out the puzzle and I was off. Surprisingly, given the bush, my GPS and the track got me to GZ, and then a quick search from atop the big rock (which indeed offers a fantastic view along the coast) got me the find. Even though there is a big banksia at GZ, I'm not sure it is a banksia that is actually guarding the "cave" in which the cache lives ... it looks more like a gum. TFTC and more importantly, for taking me to one of the best view points on the NSW coast.
I have picniced on this very rock for many years...And all the while had no idea the real treasure of this spot...wonder how many times we've delayed the hunt over the years.
Thanks for the find and the sudoku Pesky, glad I'm not the only one appreciating this view.

It was a beautiful walk down to this one from the lookout where I’d parked the car. The vistas from GZ are stunning.
That’s two of the series done. I have the coordinates for “Sudoku – Hard” but I’m not sure if I’ll have time to get to it this visit.
Took TB. Thanks again Pesky GeoMonkey.

Did this one with dlturner, niece, nephew inlaw and daughter. Nice walk. Niece found it. She was so excited. View was fantastic
What an awesome location! Definitely worth a favourite. I also recommend walking to the end of the track for some awesome views back over Killcare towards Box Head. Took a TB and removed a couple of bottles from around GZ. TFTC.
What a great view, and a lovely easy going track to walk on. Will find out where it finishes one day! Took TBs and left Hellhound and a blue pom-pom that my son gave me to put in a cache. Ta.
Completed the sudoku, and despite an error found some coordinates that looked promising in EG.
Set off with a gaggle of cachers near dusk from nearby lodgings. Half the gaggle turned back after darkness descended on the walking track and two continued on with the aid of a torch. Initial search at GZ turned up nothing but clouds of hungry mozzies. Very soon keen eyes of the younger of the two found a promising spot and the prize was soon claimed and log book signed. TFTC.
Left a TB and Geocoin.

I am absolutely humbled by the beauty and majesty of creation! Soli Deo Gloria.

Slightly harder puzzle and a longer walk to the cache. The view from the parking spot was great and so was the view from near the cache. Really enjoyed this cache.
I do like how the puzzles and caches both get harder at the same time. The views from the parking spot are excellent. And they're pretty good from gz too. Nice stroll through the bush to get to this one. Thanks GeoMonkeys.
Our fifth of ten finds for the day. This was another of the caches on the "unfound solved puzzles" list, so it was nice to find it today. Nice spot. TNLNSL TFTC.
After a lunch and coffee in 'Fat Duck' next to the bay, we decided to complete another cache on our 'solved / not found' list and this one was the closest. We drove to the parking place with beautiful views and went for a pleasant walk. After reaching the rocky part we did some searching and found the cache soon. We were lucky as the rain started just when we got back to the car!

Found on 28/12/12. A lovey walk to GZ and then wow! A beautiful day made the views even more stunning. It took a bit of searching for but when we took a step back and thought about it there it was. Thanks for bringing us to this wonderful place.
Had just found mrnoo17's 500th geocache being the Sudoku - Hard and we had time to kill so we attempted this one having already completed the puzzle. It was a very nice bushwalk to GZ and an even better view as well! Deffinately thinking about coming again and following the track right down. TFTC GeoMonkeys!
Came with alturners for a nice stroll to gz. solved the sudoku for this one too, but made some mistakes with it. however I had already filled out all the required numbers, so then i checked them and they were thankfully right. So we made our way down. What a walk! and an even better veiw. I reckon living around here would be bliss, walks, isolated beaches, except i would want a fire bunker. Had a little look at gz then came up with the cache. TFTC!!!!
Once again some of the best views of the central coast.
I've been down maitland bay several timrs and absolutely love snorkling there. Took the long way in, and the short way out, very late in the day and almost ran out of light.

Solved this in advance in preparation for our weekend away in Killcare. A pleasant easy walk to a spectacular view on top of a nice big flat rock. Views like this make it easy to talk the wife into geocaching with me. TFTC.

After solving a bunch of Sudoku's recently I was now able to get out and pick them up. This one was the 2nd on my caching morning. I parked in a car park and realised that it was going to be a little tougher to get to being a medium! So I took the opportunity and ran up and down and around the great trails till I came to GZ. Beautiful views here as well on the awesome clear sunny day. I found cache quick enough and then SL. TNLN and replaced. Took a photo of the view and then high tailed it back to the car. Thanx for another cool spot GM, TFTC.

Found on Australia Day. Wow what a gorgeous walk to GZ. And then the views at GZ just got more awesome. Took me a little while to locate cache, but with scenery like this I didnt care. Thanks.
We visited this spot briefly a couple of weeks ago, but didn't have time to search for the cache, so it was lovely to stop and have a leisurely picnic overlooking the most spectacular view. After a cup of tea, we set off to find the cache and very quickly had it in hand. Took the hand sanitiser, and left the lobster. We have visitors coming out from Wales later in the year, and this is now on our list of must-see places for them. TFTC GeoMonkeys.
This was my second find of the Sudoku series. What a lovely walk followed by that spectacular view. Excellent area for a hide.
