Electric fence was an issue, didn't want to reach through. Big sized cache though
Well, 2023 and Chrissy holiday over, heading back to ChCh from my old stomping ground in Lumsden. By myself. Perfect for some en route caches - till at least Clinton. See how I go from there. That was quite the trudge.... HINT: on the paddock side is an electric wire. Not sure if it is actually hot or not... Probably not, it would short out too much, but wasn't really interested in finding out either. May want to come up from the roadside. Be very carefull. Good luck.... Cheers!
Yay! TFTC! I came all the way from Vancouver BC Canada to find this cache Thanks for being part of the adventure!
WARNING, took cache to roadside to sign. On the return trip across the grassy drain lot’s of bubble bees , they seemed to be coming out of the ground . I might have upset a hive . I went through paddock and replaced cache through the fence.
Bit of a mission to get to but found it. Dropped off NZ State highways travel bug.
Tricky to get to but a quick find once there.
Thanks for the cache, mjbnz

Cache 753 Not the easiest cache to get to especially when it’s wet the farmers gate was open so I snuck in the paddock but due to where electric fence was I couldn’t reach so went back out and had to climb around the long way but got there eventually cache is in excellent condition T4TC
Out on a roadie with Guwapo dakotacats, Natalie247 to a celebration event in west Otago. Forth for the day. TFTC mjbnz

Got this one snagged and tagged. Cheers.
Friday 13. Balcultha to Gore and back. Another long day with Gore on the agenda. But got sidetracked with back to basics with the ABC series. So lets hit the road!
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

In a great wee spot, took the wrong approach to start (electric fence!) but got there quickly TFTC
Nice easy find exactly where it should have been on a road trip with the grandkids tftc
I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #534.
We came, we saw, we left.
Really cool spot, took some photos but didn't want to end up in the car for hours with wet shoes due to ending up in the creek which was well hidden by long grass. Will have to make sure my gumboots are more accessible next time we drive past.

This has been on my list for a while, last time I stopped there was a muggle parked in a school bus right opposite, It was good today to find the spot deserted, after a quick dry scramble the log was signed.
Thanks

Out on a day trip with Granville86a to log a few caches in and around Balclutha. I had not previously logged any so plenty to choose from! Granville on the other hand had a need to hunt up a few newly published ones so the emphasis was on those. Easy find and picked up 2 TB's (one of which hadn't been logged as dropped, will rectify) tftc
One of 16 caches located today as we meandered our way from Roxburgh to Gore, mostly alongside the Clutha River, on a very pleasant autumn day.
Our only cache along this stretch of road. Worked out well because I wanted a photo of the nearby “Presidential Highway” sign. Might have missed that if we hadn’t stopped for this cache, so gratitude on my part! #2423. TFTC.

On a bit of a road trip - may go to an event in Invercargill if I get that far.
Anyway, near Waipahi and I've stopped for this cache as I head off the main road for a little bit.
Thanks for placing & maintaining this cache, mjbnz.

It was still drizzling as Joolay, Kittykatch and I pulled up looking for this cache. There was a muggle railway worker nearby who distracted us from noticing any sign. Joolay was driving and managed to parkin such a way to shield what we were doing. Thanks mjbnz. Log was signed and cache returned to its hidey hole.
Out from Australia with Kittykatch and Smittengranny on a road trip to see beautiful scenery and grab some old caches. Quick find and loving the great company might not be an old one but good value. Cache in good condition. TFTC
Found on a road trip with Joolay and Smittengranny. I got buzzed by some kind of bee finding this cache but managed to get back into the car without getting bitten or stung. Cache in good condition - TFTC
Found these last weekend and forgot to log! We parked across the road in a little car park near the railway tracks and saw that some clever bees had turned a nearby power pole into a hive!
Cool cache thanks! Swapped pen for a new one and will help the trackable to travel.
I took one look at GZ and decided Searchwisely should Trump this one. Long grass does nothing for my hay fever. Dropped a TB.
Hubby was reduced to a sneezing, snivelling mess (stealth mode zero today) due to the hot dry day and the excessive dust and pollen about, I took one for the team and went searching. I approached this from the wrong angle and it took far longer than it should have. Finally got there though. Dropped a trackable. TFTC
Parked nearby before navigating a path through the adjacent paddock to find this cache. The grass is plenty long and a water crossing didn’t seem that appealing. Once we double checked to make sure the electric fence wasn’t on, it was an easy reach for the container.
A quick search so had cache in hand .
After A early morning drop off of the younger geo Kids at a camp.
A road trip was in order .
So off we go let,s see where we end up . Annielin in the navigators seat calling the shots with a let's go this way and then let's go that.

All in good order nice in dry

A week away down south and a chance for some caching. Was a nice and easy find this with the hopes of lots more. TFTC
Well I had to smile when I saw this, so have a favourite point for drawing my attention to it. Cache quickly sorted after being careful of any hidden creeks in the long grass. Out caching with Will of the Wisp on our “Round the World in 80 Days” trip to celebrate retirement. Signing logs with our names or initials depending on space. Greetings from England, TFTC.
Heute fuhren wir mit unserem CM von D. nach Te Anau, machten viele Stopps und fanden einige Caches. Diesen fanden wir, nachdem erst die Signale bestaunt und uns dann durchs nasse Gras gekämpft hatten. DFDC!
I've been meaning to stop by and grab this one several times in the past. Today I made the time and picked up a TB.
Found alongside Hevic on the way back from our Fiordland trip. It took us a few minutes, partially because I went again to what I believed was the logical spot and partially because we were waiting for a couple of two-legged muggles to finish directing some four-legged muggles along the road nearby. We found it in the end, but as I was sealing and replacing the log Hevic alerted me to the presence of even more four-legged muggles. They seemed a touch disappointed that I had no treats for them... Cheers!
I added a bit of geocaching to make my trip from Dunedin to Bluff a bit more interesting. Thanks.
A quick find while cruising around Southland today. Had to be a little careful as I could hear running water in the ditch. I really didn't want to fall in. Interesting to see a NZ and US flag across the road just by the Clinton/Gore road sign. All in order. TFTC
Quick easy find, watched a digger up the road by the bridge doing some road works for a while before heading back to Gore.
Strangely the wee creek was dry. A bit rough getting to the cache but managed with dry feet. Cheers.
Last day our Easter holiday to Invercargill. Time for the trek home...
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

I'm on a south island tour on my recumbent bike and stayed at the Gore Motor Camp. Going to Balclutha or Milton today. TFTC.
Made a short stop on the Presidential Highway to work out in which direction the cache could be found. Were not at all sure at first, but there it was. TFTC
Late log. Avoided the uncovered culvert and gained the bank through the long grass. Found the black cache and SL. All in good knick here. TFTC
Was taking the "Presidential Highway" westward that day, as part of a Catlins - Fjordland route. I was a little surprised to find this cache not actually at the sign, but fortunately the other cacher in the party read the description more thoroughly and trusted the gps over the "obvious" location.
The poor American flag here is a bit tattered, but then so were Gore's presidential ambitions - and those of Clinton mk.2 - so I suppose it is not unsuitable.
Tftc!

We started geocaching on 01 January 2016 and we are on a trip, going back where it all started, planning on 500 caches for the year.
Passed by here many times but never stopped before.

Cito'd on scout around. Read the logs and brought over a replacement cache. 2lt black icecream con, log seems to be coping as long as bag is sealed! All's well Jim, will still need captains to check in again sometime though. TFTC #400 yeah MJbnz
Well over a T1.5 to access this cache. Mrs p waded through the waste deep grass through the huge ditch to get cache. Not an enjoyable cache to get to.Tb picked up. On a 11 day caching trip around the south island. Log signed as b&p.Tftc mjbnz. Find # 3809
Having replaced the leaky broken con several months ago understanding this cache was in need of some TLC for a cause célèbre, caught the attention of Onslow fisherman who was keeping an eye on it for MJBNZ. A late night dialogue was struck as I logged the finds of my first trip into Roxbourgh bagging his caches there among others' on the way.
Sadly on Jim's passing, I won't get that beer, but am soon to be passing by to check in on the Icecream con to see all is well. Vade in Pace [OF](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=79564d8c-1df4-4771-bcdb-8c37529fb089)

I'm the right age to remember this! This will be our southernmost cache for some time!
Found it on our way back to Dunedin after exploring the catlins. Tftc.
