I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi Eruptn
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Hunted for quite some time for this cache with the help of family members. Unfortunately we could not find this one.
Couldn’t find with the assistance of two others, lots of muggles around when we went
Spent ages looking with Djangomalango but no luck. GPS was on target and searched around area but going to be a sad face today. Suggest owner checks to see if it is still there.
Had three people looking but no luck. Very well hidden! Still enjoyed the park. (The hint isn't terribly helpful when looking for for a ground level cache in a grove of trees known for tangling visible roots, with a couple hundred matching options within a few meters of the coordinates.)
Either I’m hopeless, or I’m picking caches in Rotorua that aren’t being maintained. Not willing to hop the fence so if it’s over there, which it shouldn’t be, I wasn’t going to find it. Couldn’t find anything on the correct side of the fence anywhere near GZ.
In Rotorua for Easter with Jag50 with the aim to put a smiley face on as many caches as we can. Think I found the container but had to climb the fence which we shouldn’t have to do as it’s dangerous
On a road trip north, enjoying the day and pic up some caches. TFTC

I looked for a good 45mins with 4 helpers and no luck finding this one, even after reading past votes.

My second attempt at this one, first time the place was heaving with muggles but today only a few visitors to this awesome region, able to retrieve cache in a break in the steam and also return under full steam cover, sneaky little hide, thanks Eruptn for maintaining this one
What an interesting park! Had to get hints from previous logs to find this one. It was a tough one to find when wearing glasses (fogging). TFTF
Found after a long search on our second attempt with a lot of help from previous logs. Was closer to the concrete cylinder than the coordinates suggested.
After checking likely hides then old logs Tui’s supreme logic triumphed over my ordinary logic. Smilies all around and without climbing into danger! TFTC
There were a lot of roots and I wasn't going to put my hand in too many of the holes!
Überall gesucht und fast jede Wurzel umgedreht. Drogenspritze gefunden aber nicht den logstreifen.

Played along with a young person I work with had some fun leading them astray for a little while! Had lots of fun
A lovely walk in the park culminating in a warm foot soak. Took a while to nut this one out as the GPS swung about. Very pleased to find the cache.
Thanks for bringing us here.

Good find. Carapaige spotted it after checking logs for idea on which side of pathway. The lake is nice this time of year. Tftc
Needed the help of the logs but found it in good time. Beautiful and interesting place

Great little walk, had to wait a couple of minutes after seeing it to grab because of muggles. Log has been replaced but no pen. Found with activity clues.
Day 21 in Newzealand. Today we drove from Kuratau to Rotorua.
A very beautiful Country with lovely places. We were able to find nice Caches and See Lots of beautiful places.
Thank you for showing us this place.

After cycling up Mt Nongataha this afternoon we headed into town to make a few more finds before finding a restaurant to eat dinner at.
This was a mission. We left empty handed to go off to the nearby earth cache and then back to the car to read some previous logs.
Now knowing which side of the path to look on narrowed this down and we eventually disturbed the well covered container about 6 or 7 metres from GZ.
A neat pool to bring us to.

Nice spot! In our “Backyard” where we are staying here in Rotorua. Had to use clues from others. I’m dropping a small Tb in the small box. Hope someone moves it on to cooler temps! Thanks for Fun in NZ w my son. Blessings from The States.
I was about to give up when I spotted the cache. Tired of searching? Find something to lean on and look again.

We are on vacation in New Zealand and of course we seek some caches.
Thanks for this one!

Our visit to New Zealand was a good excuse to dust off this long neglected hobby. We found a lot of caches and saw even more amazing scenery.
With prior knowledge from past logs this one was easily spotted, but it took some time to grab it as the place was quite busy. Thanks for the cache!

Had some time before dinner tonight to go out and search. Log needs replacing. TFTC!
This geothermal spot is a great one for a geocache. I am glad we visited this amazing lake on our little trip to Rotorua. We spent a fair bit of time looking in the wrong spot for this one, searching in places we thought it was likely to be. Once we stopped our search while we waited for muggles to pass, we spotted it. We had to be sly and choose our moment carefully to get the log, which was full and needs to be replaced. Thanks for the cache.
Yay at long last with many visits I finally hit jackpot.
I had been following the hint instead of using my eyes. Today I spotted the container and made the quick grab before anyone came past. Log is chockablock and needs replacement asap. Thanks for bringing me here many many times and at last for a smile.

TFTC found while on a family holiday with nzref and nzzach great wee spot on Christmas day
Like the others we were looking on the wrong side of the path. The ground was wet so it made it harder to see too. TFTC
Great lake in an awesome park but this cache could not be found. Coords showed to be some meters behind the fence into the dangerous hot lake and the roots revealed ni cache. Clearly not a D1-T1.
We are in Rotorua for a couple of days on our tour of New Zealand so we decided take a good walk and grab a few caches. Thanks to the CO's for the caches.
Watching all this water bubbling out of the ground, oh wait! Look at that. TFTC
First day in Rotorua. We are visiting from Toronto ON Canada to spend 25 days with our daughter who lives in Wellington NZ.
Four of searched at GZ without success. DNF at 1:29 PM.

What an amazing park. Really enjoyed wandering around the geothermal pools. Loved the variety of colours, steam and bubbles. Took quite a bit of hunting, Moose TB dipped, photo and favourite attached. TFTC. TM from N Wales
13.50: How often we have been to Rotorua before, but this is our first visit to the Kuirau Park. A lot of birds, hot water, cool water, steam, sulphur, Manuka and Kanuka. And all of them for free. Relaxed and tranquil atmosphere on this sunday afternoon throughout the whole area. Good coordinates made this cache a surprisingly quick find in the end. You do not need to climb a fence, but leaning over may help a lot...
Weather: cloudy, some sunny spots, 19°C;
Wheelchair: no problem at all, maybe quite helpful;
State: all good.
Thank you!

This took a while to find and after about 10 minutes, I was joined by N72. We then had a good look around and after another 20 minutes, we were about to give up so I went back to the car and was then called back as it had been found. This is certainly not a difficulty 1 cache. TFTC.
Did took some time, but after a while with the help of a guy from the UK we found it. Thanks for hiding.
Found at 15:04.
Our second trip to New Zealand. This time we explore the North Island for 3 weeks. This was one cache we found.
Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache Eruptn

Traveling to Rotorua, stopped along the lagoons to see the beautiful views, touch the water and smell this air... Well not touch in all of them. We love to see this "fumarolas" and mud pools. This is a great Park. Thanks a lot.
Like other people I spent too long looking on the incorrect side of the path. After checking logs I looked over at the Lake and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC

No joy today. Nigel Navigator putting me all over the place and lots of hidey holes to consider.
