18 months and no maintenance. The place is overrun by trail bike tracks, it is time to put it to bed.

Been over a year since this one was found. Would like to confirm its in place as we are visiting the area.

DNF Sad

After working out the cords we spent quite some time here, 3 sets of eyes could not come up with the goods.
Maybe next time we are down this way we might have better luck.

DNF with FUF009 at 5.15pm

A trip to Melbourne to attend the 2014 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards Event.
On our way home we decided to stop off and grab a few caches. This was one of them.

Unfortunately we were not so lucky with this one. After working out the co-ords and with three sets of eyes we were unable to come up with the goods. We spent quite a bit of time here looking around but after a while we just had to leave it for another day as we still had a long journey in front of us to get home.

Hate to say it, but I'm 99.5% sure this one is gone!
Burnt to a crisp =[
No remains.
Lovely area anyway. Even if it's not blue.... Or green. But black mostly.
Cheers anyway =]
Safe travels & hoppy caching.

So gutted to log a dnf. Worked out the answers no problem. Got to GZ and everything is blackened and burnt. Must have been a burn off or something similar. Had a decent hunt and ranged out around 15m. I would suggest that it is gone. Love the location. So many frogs!

Beautiful place but we couldn't spot it ! Suddenly we decided to go mushroom hunting. And this was a big success. We'll be back!

Since I have declared March to be Multi month, Bexta and I headed up the Calder to pick up some multis. This was one of them. We were able to collect the clues in the car, before taking off into the forest to find the cache. The GPS was nearly flat, so it lead us on a but of a circuitous route before the location was located. We picked this cache up at 5:22pm.

Thanks for the cache Spruce Mooses and congratulations on the recent addition to the team Big Grin

Out on a caching adventure with LouiseAnn, this was a nice quick little multi. Interesting location, it was good to get off the road for a few extra minutes. There were heaps of little white and yellow daisies in the grass, they looked really pretty. TFTC

You may be interested that the area is signed for prescribed burning this month. You may want to save the cache before this happens.

A very enjoyable off-set multi. Gathered GZ co-ordinates, then headed to the cache the bush-bashing way. My GPSr was out by a few metres, but I just looked around and found the cache under the first UPS I checked. I enjoy these muggle-free locations with decent sized containers. I found the easy track on the way back Smile.

20-May-13
This cache was found during a Monday night cache run with Blacklegend, Trailrunning and Rebel Acts (TDC) as well as Poynts95 who came down with BL. for the nights run. Plenty of kilometres travelled during the run, with us starting early afternoon around Rebels home turf and finishing in the wee hours of the morning in Heathcote. A great variety of caches found with some really nice hides. Many thanks to the cache owners for placing the caches we found.

20-May-13
Found on a caching run with the TDC..... I was lucky enough to be able to cache with my local caching mate, Blacklegend, and the rest of The Demolition Crew on this occasion. I had a great night, lots of good conversation and great to again catch up with the TDC. My thanks to all the cache owners for their hides on the night. I don't think I can say a lot more than the others already have about the finds on the night. There were some fantastic hides amongst the caches, and some fav points will be given.

20-May-13
Found out and about on another TDC caching night. A fantastic run that took us far and wide, with the usual crew and with Poynts95 as well. Good conversation and laughs as always, and great to be out and about again finding....

Again thanks to TR's great online sloving, this was a quick find. TFTC.

20-May-13
I'd worked this one out from online so it was more of a traditional today. Thanks.
____
Every week I look forward to exploring new areas with The Demolition Crew, and this Monday nights run brought us from Eric's place in Kilsyth through to Gisborne, Macedon and finally Heathcote. A long night of caching these areas, with a few nice walks and a few drivebys as well. Many thanks to the CO's for their efforts in placing and maintaining their caches. Unfortunately we were only able to replace one of the two scheduled cache replacements as we ran out of time.

18-May-13
Got through the multi clues easily and found the cache with no troubles, a nice little walk in the bush to complete this one. It's also fun to go across the road and poke around in the pine plantations.

11-May-13
Quickly gathered the info to allow me to head to the GZ. The coords seemed a bit off compared to where I spotted the cache hide at the edge of the expected area, but probably due to the gps coverage in the area.

I wanted to explore the area more as I had the backpack on and it looked interesting, but unfortunately time was short (it had compressed in that area, at that particular time of day), so I had to go.

Thanks for the cache Spruce Mooses.

This was our 1st find for the day on our way to Bendigo. This was a chance find as we hadn't really planned any caches and decided to pull up here and see if there were any caches around, and low and behold we were sitting at this one so off we went for a nice quick find.

Find # 2358

It was a bright and sunny morning and a plan was in place to head towards Gisborne and surrounds to find a few caches in the area which my caching partner SedgwickDave and I had both never cached in the area so there was lots of caches to choose from. Dave picked me up at 7.30 and off we went.

This was another cache on the road to Woodend. It was getting quite windy out of the car, but we gathered the required info and set out on foot to GZ. At first we were searching the wrong area, but I then spotted a suspicious looking pile of sticks and there it was.

Thanks to Spruce Mooses for the Cache. TNLN

Found @1227 #2213
Out and about once more with Ahomburg with today's intention to explore new territory which neither of us have been to before. The plan was to head to Gisborne and then let the caches lead us to where ever. We ended up heading further north all the way to Woodend doing a mixture of caches types along the way and the 3 type rule achieved one more.Wink Will be back soon as keen to explore the Macedon ranges as well as complete the caches we ran out of time to attempt today.

This was the 11th cache found today. I agree with the name of the cache more green today. The calc's for GZ were worked out in the car and then after a short walk to GZ the cache was soon in hand. A nice spot for a stop to stretch the legs. TFTC Spruce Mooses

Another Saturday, another trip to the outlaws' in Riddell... this time the kids are helping Gran decorate the Christmas tree. Me? I'm taking a short trip up the road for a few more smileys.

The day was warming up considerably by the time I got here, and there's no shade to park the car. Fortunately, working out GZ only took a moment, and I was soon checking out possible hides sheltered from the worst of the sunlight.

The lagoon certainly is an interesting hue on this hot summer day... not much chance off being tempted to take a dip, no matter how scorching it gets.

Heading to Castlemaine to grab some long solved puzzles and after getting some caches above Gisborne and heading to Woodend for lunch, I stopped at this one along the old Calder Highway. Was able to get the clues from the comfort of the car, worked out a sensible GZ and started the short walk. The ground here was very soggy from the car to GZ, careful steps required! Got to within a few metres of GZ and started looking for likely spots and the cache was in the first one I looked at. Cache is perfectly dry - which given how soggy everything else is around here was great. Thanks to Spruce Mooses for this one.

27-Jul-12
B1 and B2 had tried this cache once before, when it was dark, when it was spooky. Not so spooky today, though the rain would have added to the spooky element. We were distracted by the many hiding places in this GZ, which ate way our time. Eventually, the cache was found by B2. A great hiding place Spruce Mooses, the only thing we couldn't hide was the car. Which did have the police stop and check out the licence number. Our first run in with the police while geo-caching (we've read about others), but they soon left as they saw us stumble out of the bush. It must have been the wonderful purple raincoat, a colour, which alerted them to non-criminal activities.

23-Jul-12
Nice location complete with frogs merrily croaking. Found cache after a short stroll, but didn't know which log to sign so we signed the new one as it looked like the other was full. Left micro-geocoin.

06-Jul-12
I was in two minds about coming to visit this one as it was a long way from home and the sun was quickly dropping and making driving unpleasant. However I was already far west having grabbed another cache and I needed another good cache for the GeosportZ 2012 CachingGames competition so crossing my fingers than I had enough petrol to get there and back again I headed north to the NSBL. Parking was no problem - although with the rain the area is well watered and muddy, but the frogs are loving it! The other cars here seems to be just power dozing so I wandered off on into the bush on a call of (geocaching) nature, and after a short search - well, longer than it should have been as I missed spotting the cache and concentrated on some promising-looking but fruitless hiding spots nearby - I had my visit recorded, cache rehidden and I headed back out again - back via the same place so as to avoid any suspicions (I needn't have worried though). A nice little spot - TFTC Smile

We were travelling up towards Woodend and Kyneton today for no other reason than an outing with my son. I had in the back of my mind that there was a cache hidden around this Lagoon (which I've always admired) but I've never before had time to stop (usually because I'm travelling past here for work). I kept thinking that this cache was called the Black Lagoon (after the monster?) but perhaps not? Anyway - I pulled over, checked the Geocaching iPhone App and bingo..yes right here a multicache. The coordinates were calculated in swift time and the cache pursued with much haste. Man oh man it was cold here today - in April - a real chiller. I dropped off a Geocoin and also placed in a small bag of swag of stationary. TFTC and I'll still look as I ass for the monster to emerge from the depths of the Lagoon

Ostara74 had been wanting to see Bendigo quite some time, so I took couple of days off work and Thursday morning we jumped into Ostara74's awesome little geomobile and headed off on our discover central and northern Victoria adventure tour. We headed up the Calder Hwy slowly, checking out towns and all the other interesting stuff along the way. Having lived in Bendigo for a number of years, I had a short list of must see/do and the rest was left up to random encounters. This was our second cache find on the first day of our four day discover central / north Victoria adventure. I had looked for this one a long time ago when I had first started caching but had no luck. Today we had the clues before we even got out of the car and then took a quick stroll through the drizzle to the GZ and made a quick and easy find. The cache is in good condition, however the log book is full and desperately needs replacing. Thanks for the cache Spruce Mooses.

#1242 @ 4.45pm. With the day fast disappearing on us now we didn't know whether we'd have time to complete multis however upon investigation this seemed to be a relatively quick one (assuming that we could locate the cache Wink). So we decided to try our luck on this the last day of Daylight Savings & we weren't disappointed. Found by : Jordan
OUT : took out busted tape measure (bit dangerous for GeoKiddies)
IN : nil

Notes : Nabbed this one on the way back from our Caching Exped today, GeoGinaG had done it alone a while back so thought I'd pay it a visit to sign the log and have a look for myself. This spot has been dry a bit of late so good to see it with some water in it again.

The cache itself is a good container and a nice hide but is in poor state due to perhaps people taking but not giving. One for the logging, but nothing much worth finding in there. This guy could do with some lovin' by way swap stocks.
