Super little multi which took me way longer than it should have to locate at GZ. Had to resort to a PAF of a friend in SA, I took the hint too literally. TFTC robtas/gridge98
Merging my accounts. Found this as Hoterini 27/8/11. Now tracking together with Ambers007 and merging the old finds.
This multi was way trickier than I expected.....Exploring the west Tamar on a lovely day yesterday with the two GeoGSP's I stopped at WP1 and collected the required info. As soon as I saw how far away GZ was I knew the location straight away. So, off to GZ.Mmmm, I stalled a bit here, I have trouble with boundaries. I decided to consult with my network who advised all was OK, and to perhaps try a particular avenue. That particular avenue had some aspects easier than others. Thinking a particular aspect would come up with the goods I came away empty handed. So I skulked off to my accommodation, and once again reached out to my network and this time they gave some very precise info. So, this morning I returned with the GeoGSP's and this time I made an extra effort and cam up with the goods.Lovely to find this old cache - it's a great multi in a beautiful location.Much thanks to the Tas_Community for it's recent maintenance to keep this one going. A favourite from me.
On my previous visit to Tassie as a cacher, I tried to find this one but failed. Then a couple days ago I tried again, and failed yet again! Then I went to an event and someone offered me a bit of a hint, so today I returned, fingers crossed. I arrived near GZ and found a local near where I wanted to go searching, so I took some time to sit on the riverbank and watch the clouds rolling in filled with water . It wasnt too long and the local had moved off so I was able to make the find just before the heavens opened.Gotta love Tassie weather 30+ yesterday and pouring with rain all day today!TFTC gridge98Keep smiling
My previous visit to Tassie and I couldnt find this cache so I decided to revisit it today. My second attempt and still no luck. Well, Im here for a while so I may just have to come back again before I leave the island.TFTC gridge98Keep smiling
Adelaide to Hobart Road Trip.
Day Three: Tasmania’s North Coast
Weather: sensational, like spring, until the sun went down …
A targeted cache as part of the find-one-from-each-year challenge by the 2y’stassies. The church is in much better condition than I was expecting, and what a great spot too.
The required numbers are easily found and easy to read, GZ is a short walk away, and a quick find was made.
Thanks for the hide robtas, and thanks gridge98 for keeping it in play - this will help me with your challenge too!
It’s officially a mega.

have stopped here on travels further afield, but today whilst in the area we made time to do this multi. Looks like someone is looking after the cache as it has fresh log sheets in a cleverly hidden hidey hole. TFTC
Jetstar was having a sale…. in the middle of winter, for a destination further south than I already live. That sounds like a great idea!
So a plan for a 4 night whirlwind tour of the northern part of the state was hatched. I’ve seen lots of this beautiful state, but haven’t found a single cache. With plenty of challenges to tick off, and a long list of targeted caches, this week is the time to turn that around.
Todays adventure takes me west from Launceston to St Helens via Beaconsfield, Low Head, Bridport and Scottsdale.
With the final coordinates calculated and GZ spotted I began exploring as the fog was lifting. Eventually put my hand on the cache.
Thanks gridge98 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

OzHockeyChick shouted me a return flight to Launceston for my birthday. So grateful for this awesome gift and so very pleased to have her with me to celebrate.
We got diverted to Hobart which definitely wasn't part of our tight schedule. Once we arrived in our original destination, we picked up the car and were on our way.
This was a surprise, not quite what we expected to see. OHC went one way and I the other and soon, OHC had the cache in hand. An added bonus was the fact that it is an old cache.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find.

A 'Thelma & Louise' style weekend away with Geoturtle37, to celebrate her recent milestone birthday. We are flying in to Launceston on Friday afternoon, returning to Melbourne on Sunday evening. Our carefully planned itinerary includes selected LGAs, placement dates, DTs and high faves. If we manage to find them all, we can expect 186 smilies in total.
Once we had a set of coordinates, we set about searching. Only a limited number of places it could be hiding, and I eventually put my hand on it.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, gridge98

I added my name to the new blank replacement log, this was a great cache.
Today was a bit of a different day with Budgie inviting myself and Goose to go North and find a cache on an island at low tide, the goose drove today too so i had it easy and just had to sit and keep the passenger seat warm, all up with labs, GC and GA caches I think we made 45 finds with some cracking caches along the way.
Thanks for the cache.

The Tas_Community account maintained this cache today, we replaced the cache with a similar container with waterproof paper inside.
Although I didn’t find the cache, I did discover a beautiful stone church, an interesting cemetery and a strange looking lighthouse.

DNF - no luck for me today. Awesome area to visit. Gorgeous church and beach area.
A thorough search at gz turned up zilch. But what a wonderful and beautiful church and cemetery. Will pop on the watch list to wait and see for next time we are up!
Down in the Apple Isle with JACS and TeamARF for a week or so to hunt some caches and traipse about having adventures. With inclement weather fading away we utilised today to grab some along dirt roads . Managed to find a few of differing varieties! A fun day despite the rainy patches! Fab puzzles and wonderful countryside. Awesome caches all round! We are thoroughly enjoying this adventure and grabbing some very well maintained oldies awesome locations Tftc
An amazing church with such beautiful gardens. Located the required information and paid our respects before heading off to the final.
Cemeteries are highly regarded by one of our companions so this one made her day. What a great outlook overlooking the Tamar Rv and such a pretty area. I even sent a photo to a work colleague who was looking to move down this way at Deviot. Collected the appropriate info and saw the light. Thanks for the hide robtas.
What a nice setting with great views of the river. I did find an earlier grave. The correct Thomas was found and calculations led to a quick find. Thank you for placing and maintaining the cache for our enjoyment.
This was put first of these kind of catches still trying to really understand these. all we can say is thank goodness for people putting up photos or we wouldn’t have a had a clue.

T-Tech and I are down from Brisbane for a meandering holiday around Tasmania. We flew to Melbourne where we picked up the campervan and spent a day caching there, then took Spirit of Tasmania I to Devonport. Tick that one off the bucket list!
Today we are travelling from Port Sorrell to Kelso via Launceston and Batman Bridge! This was our final find, and oh the place was glorious! Such a lovely old church which is still regularly used, and the graves were all so well kept, and the sun was shining, and there were boats on the river, and the bridge in the distance. Happy sigh And I do like wandering around cemeteries. We were able to find Thomas, and crunched the numbers, then were pleased to see where GZ ended up [^] A short wander later and I found the cache on the ground, although still "inside". We replaced it in a corner. TFTC robtas. Have a favourite point.

Today was spent pottering around the Tamar valley, visiting some interesting little places and grabbing a few targeted caches along the way. The weather was fantastic after quite a bit of rain overnight. I’m glad I wasn’t in the swag!
This was a nice quick multi. Interesting spot.
Thanks robtas for the cache.

Camped at Launceston, out along the Tamar today for a few caches. A quick search an the cache was soon revealed. good coordinates. Cache all good. TFTC
In Tassie with family doing a short trip around this lovely island. We saw some amazing scenery, wildlife and visited some beautiful places while touring around in our motorhome. I took the opportunity to stop and grab any caches when we could stop. We only had a few DNF's and made some good discoveries and clever hides during the trip. We had some fun and laughs along the way.
This was a neat little multi in a really cool location and topped of with a super hide.
Thanks robtas for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

A quick visit to the headstone and got the appropriate numbers and then another quick working out and then a quick find. Glad you used that for GZ. TFTC.
I spent several minutes looking for which gravestone the multi wanted the numerals from. The coordinates I had took me beyond the back of the property. The second lot of coordinates I worked out took me to a likely final location, but it was a DNF.
#14448. Day 16 of our 3 week holiday in Tasmania. Today Robmc and I are moving base from Low Head to Mole Creek via an Event in Latrobe and of course collecting a few caches along the way. Our first views of a decent blanket of snow on the Western Tiers. An enjoyable and picturesque day.
This was our first stop for the day - we missed it returning from Beaconsfield the other day. Fortunately we were too early for church at 10.00am. GZ was exactly where I suspected it to be - a good spot for it. Rob found it quickly and we added our names to the fresh log sheet left by the last cacher and continued on our way.
Thanks robtas

Day sixteen of our holiday in Tassie. Bettyboo3747 and I are traveling from Low Head to Mole Creek, via Latrobe for an event.
Started as a wild and windy day, but by the time we got to Latrobe the sun had come out (as requested!)
The view of the Western Tiers was spectacular with the first snow of autumn on them.
We had passed on the road up above a few days ago, but on this trip made a point of coming in here for a look.
Great little church, and an interesting graveyard. But for me GZ was the best.
Thanks, Robmc.

The rain had just let up. I found poor Thomas quickly. Thanks to the hint, I knew I was at the right place. Only took a minute to make the grab. The logbook should be replaced, it's wet and moldy. Sorry I didn't have a replacement. I managed to sign on a blank spot. Tftc

A great multi in a beautiful place. A nice stroll ensured some exercise and the final was soon and obvious "thing". Capt Kirk would be proud.
Thanks to robtas and *clear skies* from TeamAstro. Cache the planet!
What an absolutely beautiful place. On previous trips across the Batman Bridge we wanted to do this multi but time was always against us. It was tight today too but something else could miss out if necessary. We parked at the closed gate and walked up into the empty yard to get started. We found the right stone after mixed signals from the GPS and struggled with one number but an agreeable GZ confirmed we had it correct. We should have walked to GZ but lazily drove (the kids didn't want to get out) and left the car on the road as we searched. Luckily no other vehicles came and we found it fairly quickly. The kids wanted to go under the bridge so we continued down the road then up and over it. A good multi in a great location so a favourite point from us. Grabbed the TB. TFTC

Been wanting to have a go at this cache for a while. Was close by this evening so dropped in and started wandering the grave yard looking for the required numbers. Once found I returned to the Geomobile to crunch the numbers and quickly solved the mathematics and had the coordinates, and proceeded to the GZ. Didn't take long to locate the cache and sign the log.
Plenty of interesting history around the area and plan to return to grab more caches around the area and do some exploring when I have more time.

I can see the attraction in wanting to wed in a church like this. Gathered required info and made our way to gz where la Kedi discovered the cache tucked away. Thanks robtas.
The GPSr in the car brought us the scenic coastal way, which is recommend for those not in a hurry. The kirk was charming, the headstones sobering and the multi easy to solve and walkable . Despite the rain, we enjoyed being here, it was very atmospheric. The cache was only just within reach, though! TFTC, robtas. =^.^=

Second day of a three day caching trip in the north. We headed to George Town and Low Head and what a lot of impressive caches we found. Before crossing the Batman we came to do this one and so pleased that we did. A nice easy multi and great hide. Viewing this wonderful old convict built church and graveyard was a highlight of the day. Thank you so much for bringing us here and for the cache. A favourite for sure.
We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the Land Down Under" ...
We don't usually have time for multi's but because the write up sounded so interesting we decided to have a go at this one. The instructions were straight forward and we came up with the co-ords rather quickly. We then wandered about the headstones and church.... very interesting. Then it was off in search for the cache. We were delighted with what we found at GZ. Great hide!! Giving this a fav point!

An excellent multi. Just 2 quick stages but 4 photo ops. (Five if you count the river itself. Very windy when we were here and the chop in the middle was fierce. Mrs j was reminded of the Reversing Falls in her home town of Saint John, NB, Canada where the river running out meets the tide running in.) Very well done and a most useful hint. A fav from us. Can't imagine we'd have found the road wo the cache. PINO TFTC
We lurked hereabouts almost a year ago but chickened out on the hunt due to a feeling of being observed by nearby muggles. Things were quieter today (or seemed so) & although we re-did our calculations they took us to the same spot. This time we searched a little more thoroughly & the hide was soon spotted. A pair of "go go Gadget arms" belonging to Mr Tardis were utilised in the retrieval.
Thomas had me guessing! Few Thomas around, but eventually found the right one.
Nice stroll th me cache what a beautiful day!!

Beautiful day for a scenic drive and some geocaching. What a nice church and great views. The puzzle was easily solved and a nice walk to final location (not too far at all!!) up to the, well I don't know what, interesting looking structure. Cache in good condition, TFTC robtas.
By crikey that sure is an old grave! After a bit of a search the cache was in hand! TFTC on a very wet and cold first day of 2014!
As with some of our unlucky predecessors this one had us bamboozled. We just didn't feel comfortable searching around the GZ we came up with (correct or not - & it is in the gallery) what with it's purpose in being there & close proximity to a house. If we were correct, we feel it could have been better placed closer to WP1. Left before we drew too much unwanted attention to ourselves.
We were lucky to find Thomas so quickly. At 10am on Sunday morning is not the best time to do this cache. Nice easy find thanks. A bit of a scratch around had the cache in hand. This trip to Tasmania going anticlockwise from Devonport is our third trip and the first in our motorhome. This is another cache, there will be many more, hopefully.

Mr and Mrs Seek3rs are over in Tasmania on holidaying from SA ...
Another day of caching ... this time on the way over to the west Tamar side ...
Had seen this one come up on the GPS when I was doing the cache at Batman bridge.
The description looked interesting, but put off a bit by the multi type ... but on the way home had the time, and the permission from Mrs Seek3rs, and so we headed to this one.
Wow ... what a pretty church and interesting location.
Found the information for the multi - did the sums and came up with a likely GZ ... walked down to here, and Mrs Seek3rs came up with the find at GZ, with the interpretation of the hint.
So thats two multis done today and worked out with finds!
Added Seek3rs sticker and date to the log.

Hi robtas
Today was the second day of a two caching expedition with Budgietas and Cheesy Pigs. Yesterday was fine and just what you want for caching. However, today we woke only to find the weather conditions totally the opposit of yesterday - pouring with rain. Not good for caching and not even good for the ducks!
Yesterday, I left Huonville at 0700hrs, met up with the two other finders and left for Launceston about 0900hrs. Today, left Western Junction round 0645hrs and went for breakfast at Maccas. Cached all day and got back to Huonville on the first of November at 2340hrs. A great trip and I extend my thanks to Budgie and Cheesy for making it a memorable couple of days. Thanks to CraigRat for organising the event on the 31st of October.
This cache was my 12th for the day:
This was a great hide. The views were very good here. Had tried to do this cache on a previous occasion; but that time there were major works on the road that passes the church and we were not allowed near ground zero. The weather is now being kinder to us than it was earlier this morning. So a quick amble and ground zero achieved. Both structures are impressive. Thank you!
The cache was found, the log signed and container returned to its hide at 0934hrs.
From here it was off to find "Sydmouth Oval."
Day two had me find fifty-one caches, yesterdays caching produced fourty-one finds for me, total of 92 for the entire trip. I got a personal best for finds in a day again today and I think Cheesy set new one again today too.
Thanks for the cache
Cheers OldSaint.
Thank you!

A lovely old church with fantastic view, and not a bad resting spot when the time comes. Thanks for organising this multi. Everything was spot on and an enjoyable cache. TNLNSL.
Today I take my geomum to out for a day as she is never before geocaching mean as show her what hide like, mum really enjoy around some caches... Luck right spot for WP1 as nice walk to gz, wow nice one as hide very well thanks
A beautiful auld kirk! Solved the riddle and heading up to GZ but just couldn't lay our hands on it. Think we may have found the spot, but may need my taller husband to help out next time. Unfortunately couldn't stay too long to search as recent road kill made it a very smelly search Thanks for bringing us here though
