Day four of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.Staying in Christchurch and spent the day traveling down to Akaroa and playing tourist. We spotted the church and bell tower driving up from the south, and thought "there should be a cache there", and there was.A nice quick find.We then walked around the graveyard and Bell tower. Thanks, Robmc.
Day 4 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc. We are staying in New Brighton and today we headed over to Akaroa for a day of mixed fortunes. A beautiful sunny day and a beautiful location but quite a few DNFs.We enjoyed our wander around this very pretty little area. Thanks for contributing to the fun lytteltonwitch
I was heading up through Gebbies Pass to check on one of my caches. But whats this?! A nicely aged Lyttletonwitch cache! I had to stop off. This is a really cool place. It was quite foggy and a bit spooky which added to the experience. I did a wander and checked out the old graves and that back bit behind the trees. The coords took me right to GZ and the hint is spot on but it still took a second. The container is in great shape but it was well buried. I excavated the poor thing and put some limbs over it. This was a lot of fun. Thanks for bringing me here.
Enjoyed a stop here on our way to Diamond Harbour. We wondered where church goers would park as there is not much space for more than 2 or 3 cars at road level. Thank you for placing a cache here and maintaining Lyttletonwitch. Definitely worth a visit FP from me.
TFTC. Thought I would go home over the hills after being at Birdlings Flat. Catch a few caches on the way.
A quick easy find, great for the first time caches. Contents of cache lovely and dry. TFTC
Cache 1427 ️ Heading to Christchurch for a geocaching holiday this week where I’m targeting hidden days/months and a few D/T and to sign challenge caches. And as many virtuals as possible. This cache was a needed hidden month. Driving past quickly you probably wouldn’t spot the church/cemetery up here so it was a nice little surprise when I wandered up the hill, made my way around the back for a super quick find as the cache was sitting out in the open, signed and tucked back a little bit so it isn’t quite as visible to avoid muggles, cache in good shape T4TC ️
What a delightful wee church and the wild sweet peas added wonderful bit of colour strewn everywhere. The cache was very exposed and I found bits and peices from it scattered round - put them all back together and hopefully left with a little more cover. Thanks for bringing me here lytteltonwitch # 18,767
Great spot for a church and resting place. Glancing at a few of the gravestones it seems a lot of folk reaching their 90s.
Easy find for the kids. Thanks so much! The girls loved playing with the wee toys and exploring the church.
Out enjoying a lovely day, went on a round trip to enjoy views and look for GC's. Lovely wee church and cemetery. Found cache all good here. Log signed and moved on for a coffee at White Rabbit, still call it the Tulip. Thanks for the cache lytteltonwitch.
Replaced the container and it is smaller than the original container. I found cache out in the open and have rehid it properly
Went for a cruise to Victoria Park in our, new to us, Forester. All good, so came home via Gebbies and managed to stop here. No sweet peas out in April, just plenty of periwinkles/Vinca. Evidently that means to bind or fetter which describes their smothering invasive habit. It's not all bad, as closeley related species contain alkaloids that are now used in chemotherapy. Tftc
Easy find with the hint. The lid has broken so will not be waterproof, but the log is dry at the moment. TFTC
What a neat out of the way church...... Heading up the hill to watch the sunset and thought we would get sum caches on our way..... TFTC
As we are now in level 2 from 8th September geocaching is now permitted again
Disabled as we are in lockdown and geocaching is not a permitted activity during lockdown. Didn't think that I would have to disable caches that are not easy to get to without driving but too many idiots ignoring level 4 rules
This church is hidden from view by unsuspecting motorists. I spent some time to stroll along the grounds and take in the views. Thanks lytteltonwitch.
Out caching with TharntheHalken and sketching muggle. Found ourselves in the middle of a crowd of runners and supporters. Retreated to the church in confusion Quick find, tftc!
A lovely spot and my missing e for September challenge.
Having a long weekend and decided to head up to Christchurch to meet friends. The rest of the weekend was spent geocaching, grabbing many of the puzzles solved during lockdown.
This was my second day going out and finding some great caches to fill in some challenges and complete some fun series.
All good here.

[NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) is definitely happening, but has been postponed until 2021. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 22 to 25 October 2021. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20+ years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20+ years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* All the 20s and now 21 as well!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

Classic cache. Pretty little church out here. The cache took us longer to find than it should have done. It was well hidden in a spot we checked several times before I got my hands on it. Last cache for us today. Time to head home to warm up. TFTC, Biggles.
We just wanted to log some caches on the way from Akaroa to Christchurch. Easy find.
Greets from Germany.
Tftc. Danke fürs Dösle

Heading towards Lyttelton we passed this church and were amazed by the gorgeous sweet peas. Soon found the cache stamped and returned and read some of the interesting gravestones before continuing on our way. TFTC
We arrived at the church and on the bank outside was a riot of colourful sweet peas. What a wonderful sight! We found the cache easily and we were pleased to have been brought to this lovely place.
A quick find despite no cell phone reception. I just thought about a likely looking spot and there it was. Thanks for the hide. #3208
Quick stop here on our way back home from the hills. Nice old churchyard hidden here. TFTC.
spent the morning geocaching from Gebbies Pass to Sign of the Kiwi with KotukuSI. Crisp morning but great views.
An impressive log indeed! Beautiful church. Driven by many times but not noticed it before. TFTC!
Cache totally unhidden and visible from metres away. We have concealed it a bit better. Peaceful spot. TFTC
Very straightforward cache in a well maintained church yard and cemetery. The cache was lying in very public view so I tucked it a little more behind the hint.... Many thanks
We are on a road trip around the south of the South Island. Today we spent the day driving out to Akaroa. Unfortunately it was raining for most of the day but we still managed to find a few caches on the way. This was the first of the day and a quick find. TFTC.
Visiting from Brisbane with Slow Puncture for the Oamaru Geofest, and we're seeing all the wonderful sights the South Island has to offer as we travel along. Day 4: We said farewell to Oamaru and headed North in the drizzle to Christchurch, with a few sidetrips along the way.
Thanks for the hunt **lytteltonwitch**, this find makes #4338. Discover our TB

Monday. Slow Puncture has teamed up with Orange Crew to make a Moreton Bay assault on the Oamaru Geofest. Day Four saw us travel from Oamaru back to Christchurch, with a couple of loop diversions on the way out to the West.
This was the 12th of 37 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***lytteltonwitch***, for showing us this place.

We always enjoy finding an older cache, particularily if they are in such a nice place like this. Found with debsnz
Lovely church that I bike past on my Gebbies pass rides. Today I took the time to stop and grab the cache. I actually love old graveyards, they all tell stories. After pondering the deep and meaningful, I went ok and found the cache as per the hint, quick find, all in order. FP for location. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25.
Out on a caching adventure with daughter and granddaughter to have some fun! The youngest one did not like looking back and having limited involvement in the roadside finds, so we trying to mix it up a bit. TFTC!!!

I was keen to go find some caches, so was mum, but hubby had ditched me to go off attempt to go hunting, and I needed my fix!! So we took the baby with anyways - but it was quite tough to go caching like this!! She hates the car seat! Argh!!! Luckily she slept the first bit, but in the end we had to find caches that were not roadside to get the baby out of the car, so the find count wasn't super great today! But it was something!!
Nice to find this which is now sort of an oldie!
TFTC!!

This was our last cache for the day on our return over Gebbies Pass from Lyttleton Harbour. A lovely little church with a great view.

Tha smiley had disappeared:-( so I went back and resigned and relogged... strange! Last there 28/6/15. I think it's something t o do with the app as I know a couple of the caches I got early on in my caching history have disappeared! Anyway - TFTC:-) it's still a cute little church!
On my way from Christchurch to Akaroa, I wanted to find some caches. This was the first, which was found quickly. Thanks for hiding!
I have been in New Zealand alone 25 years ago.
This time i visited down under again with my wife.
We also visited our daughters which were here for 7 months for work and travel.
On our way north, we stopped at Banks Peninsula and found the box in his hidden place.
Thank you very much for this cache and many greetings from Germany.
