Today, jesswrigley and I started the day with Kedron parkrun, before rushing home for a quick breakfast followed by the attendance at Ferny Grove's community celebration event. It was baby Warren's first event and opportunity to meet other Geocachers, and it was good to see the weather agreeing with the event's spirit. We had a walk around the area, and then we headed off to do some shopping at Fortitude Valley.
Following a solo afternoon errand trip, I returned back home via Ashgrove, and consequently, I took the opportunity to find a few geocaches around that area.
I had driven along the nearby road and eyed off this geocache in the distance, but unfortunately I never got the chance to detour up the hill, until seeing it recently archived. Consequently, I thought I would make an expedition to this cache nevertheless, and after parking off a nearby street, I followed a few informal tracks to GZ. I actually really enjoyed the trek up, and even saw a few unofficial bike trails and jumps as I ascended. Eventually I made it to GZ and admired the geological outcrops for which this geocache name is aspired from, and it wasn't too long until I found the old cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and thus it was a bit of a shame to have seen this cache retired. Thanks wingaap for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was also nice to have found this oldie 01/2006 hidden cache, and one of Queensland's 500 oldest yet active geocaches. As mentioned previously, if help is required to maintain, then I'm happy to help in the future, or adopt if need be!

Unable to maintain.
Ive adopted out other caches only to have them flicked on to someone else.
Archiving rather than burdening others.

Out early this morning, a nice short climb is a good way to kick start the day.
Geopup and I wandered along the path, I am not sure where the tracks on the map have gone but we managed to make our way to gz.
Opening the cache, I was greeted by the friendly pirate. Log signed and all replaced as found, we made it back to the car.
Thanks wingaap for bringing me to this lovely spot.

No bush bashing required you say... I followed the trail, and by trail I mean the dotted line on my GC app...it smelt like bush bashing, it felt like bush bashing... I think it was bush bashing... I spotted the structure mentioned by others, kings of hard to miss with its vibrant blue roof ( I hope they weren’t looking to be subtle)...
Went round for a bit, but was quite determined not to leave... when I looked at the GPS it said 1 metre...
Thanks wingaap for maintaining this oldie...

After the days chores had been completed i was keen to find a new spot to "walk the dog". A quick review of the map showed a little unfound cluster around the Ashgrove gold course. With the sun starting to set i had to get my skates on and shortly we were parked on Bennett Road.
I was hoping to squeeze in two caches this evening before it got too dark. Rock On was the first one to do, so off we went looking for smaller trails off the main trail. Bike trail was soon spotted and the walk up the hill was easier than expected. Spotted all the things that previous cachers had spotted - shelters, bike jumps, obstacles, plastic bottles cut in half etc etc.
We were at GZ quite quickly. After a few wrong guesses as to the location, the pvc container was discovered. Lid 1 removed and lid 2 removed to reveal… A pirate? Log book was found and signed. It has been over 6 months since this cache was found. Everything clean and dry with this cache. Back down the hill we went to try and find another in the fading light.
I remember as a kid coming and riding my bike around the Bennett Road jumps, long before the BCC started supporting and providing official bike paths and adventures. Thanks for bringing me back here. TFTC

Drove over to the south side of the world today to grab a couple of caches that were required for my D/T grid, plus it helps to keep my trad a day challenge and my cache a day challenge going along. On the way back I had a particular cache I wanted to check over. Having collected the one on the bike path I saw this one was just up there. An easy walk up the hill and to GZ. I spotted the cache about 8 metres from where my marks had me. I signed the log and returned the cache as found, all nice and dry with this one. A quick walk back down the hill and I wasn’t ever there. Thank you for placing this one here for us.
Wow some treking involved here, but what a place! Good hiding spot, once you get here it's easy enough to find.
Ok firstly the gardner/track keeper must of been let go due to CVD19, because there was no clear cut trail/track all the way to the GZ for this one so unfortunately bush bashing was in order along some faintly outline tracks and Samsung S20+ compass lead the way. That said cache was quickly found, log signed and cache returned then the stroll on to the next cache. TFTC from the IRT.
The past few days I've been thinking about going out and grabbing a few caches on my own. I was looking for somewhere that had a bunch of caches close together, than I remember out by The Gap had a good amount of caches close together.
Luckily I finished work very early today, so I had the rest of the day ahead of me for caching. So I made my way out towards The Gap and started at one end and made my way to the other.
Most caches were fairly easy to find, but there was a few of them I had trouble with. I didn't want to have any DNF's, so I made sure I spent a little more time on each cache just to be sure I found it.
I had a great day out and spent roughly 5 hours out caching. I finished the day with 27 finds on NO DNF's. YAAAAAY!!!
Sorry for the generic log.

After a leisurely walk to my first find at the base of this hill , it was time to really test the calves ... or rather cows in my case... It’s genetic.
Fascinated by the intricate series of abandoned (or maybe not so abandoned?) home-made mountain bike trails, shacks, cubbies and ... was that an Eski? With a bunch of pot growing out of it ?!!!? I mean, I had to check it out didn’t I ... strictly for scientific reasons, mind you. It was not.
Further up the hill and a few nicks and cuts later , the find was made. Enjoyed the bird calls as I signed the log of this classic cache and returned it to its snug little home. Thanks for bringing me up here , Wingaap, and TFTC

Our first Wednesday together after the school holidays and of course there's rain predicted! Luckily we made it through the day with just some showers.
After slowly making our way up the hill in the heat we arrived at GZ. The Kurrawongs had followed us up the hill too.
I avoided looking at my phone on the way up so I wouldn't know how much further it was, it didn't look far on the map. I guess these were trails back when the cache was placed, but looks like the bike trails were closed years back. We also found a camp setup on our way back down the hill. Nice to find this cache, I tried to find it years back but I had my then nine year old with me and my maps didn't show the trails in here.
Thanks for the cache Wingapp.

Out with NyssaFlutterby and wombles and co for our first Wacky Wednesday of the year, and we had been concentrating on puzzles around the area. However we also wanted one traditional cache for the day, and a view of the map showed this one would suit us all. I had been near here a couple of weeks back and decided to leave this one for a rainy day, well today did look like one of those.
We expected the skies to open up on us during our hike but managed to make the climb and scout around to make our find without a single drop of rain.
We did find the bike bumps and various other constructions around this area quite the surprise - in separate spots we imagined we had found someone’s “lounge room”, “kitchen” and “dining room” going by the way each spot was constructed.
Thanks for the cache wingaap.

First whacky Wednesday for wombles, 1MinnieMoo and I for the year. Of course the forecast was for rain. The weather gods just love us Thankfully though there was only a sprinkle here and there and the temperature was comfortable.
After a bit of a huff and a puff we arrived at GZ and enjoyed the cool breeze. We jumped around the rocks for a while and then I spotted the beasty out of the corner of my eye. Great to put a mark on the logbook of this older cache.
On the way back down the hill some odd structures were discovered. Seems like someone had set up camp here a while ago. Not a muggle to be seen today thankfully though.
Thanks for the smiley wingaap

It's not much of a secret that I like an older geocache hide. And this geocache is a bit more old than just 'older'. I have come so close to finding this in the past, even the geocache on the pathway just below. I recall looking up the hill, no track, rather steep and skipping it. And since I've looked at it on the map but never been inspired to get out and grab it.
Recently though, I got niggled just enough by a mate to look for some of the oldest 500 active hides in the state. This is one of them. And there's a few others on the Northside that I can clean up. What more excuse does a lad need to go for a drive and a few little walks? So, I grabbed a muggle friend on the promise of some hikes and no bushfire risk and headed north.
After three other geocaches, one of which a very dusty walk, we paused for a picnic lunch. As it turns out, finding a picnic spot along Waterworks Road is really hard, but we found a spot after too many U-turns. Onto this geocache.
With no better plan than to launch up the hill with no track, I parked us as close as possible on Bennett Road and we started walking. As I checked the app, I happened to have the Leaflet maps open. And they had a track marked. Interesting. And sure enough, it existed on the ground too. Alright then!
Up there we went, a vehicle track of sorts. Then to the right, a smaller track pointed in the right direction. This has clearly been used by mountain bikers, but not for a very long time. Another fork and we go left. The map doesn't match exactly, but it's not bad for a vague footpad through the bush. I wondered if there was a more distinct path parallel, but figured that's a dilemma for the return trek.
Then we came along some mountain bike obstacle construction. All very home-grown and all disused for some time. The path here became less distinct, so I pressed onwards up the hill. An area covered in rubbish, then the path re-appeared. Getting close.
Just near GZ my plus one sat on a rock (later found to be under a very dead, leaning tree) and I went on the last few metres, rockhopping, as the name implied I would. From a few metres away, I spotted the geocache. Moments later I discovered it's in great condition and I added my name to the logbook. I rehid it all as found and realised the promised track was the exact one we'd used to get up. Nothing better presented itself.
So we headed back basically the way we came at 14:09. It was all rather civilised compared to my initial plan of bush bashing up a hill if required. A worthy place to explore and funny to think this geocache was hidden while I was still in school! Thanks for this geocache and keeping it alive, wingaap

Another old one in the area we were caching in today...after a short walk along the walking tracks we discovered some homemade biketracks and wound our way up the hill. Thankfully a straighforward find. Thanks again wingaap.

Eskies5, Scratches and I zig zagged our way towards this one using the path ways we could find. Once we were at GZ we had a straightforward find here. All good with this one. TFTC wingaap
Another hill climb, didn't realise how unfit I am! Interesting container arrangement, log was signed and the descent was successfully managed without incident.

I was with Mr OC who hadn’t collected this cache. We’d been here previously, I think only a couple of weeks ago. This time though, we found the path that was showing on the map! OMG – so much easier than last time. I think we had to use the off-road function whilst walking to this cache. Today was 2WD all the way. Came across the same amazing bush bike set up as last time, with the witches hats included. Took a couple of happy snaps this time round.
Out for the day with Slow Puncture collecting more of the audio puzzles, with a smattering of other caches along the way to mix things up. This trade gave us a chance to stretch the legs and get the heart pumping. We followed some bike trails up the hill, past makeshift ramps and some sort of dodgy camp before reaching GZ. A short search amo the plethora of boulders and the cache was found nicely tucked away.

After finding an unloved cache in NSW, my caching buddies for the day were happy for me to tag along on the way home. We parked near the golf course and headed up the hill. The cache was quickly located at GZ and the log signed. TFTC
We were slowly making our way home from NSW and picking up a few caches that were of interest. Heading into this one there was a nice flat bitumen path going one way and an uphill dirt path going the other way. Of course the flat bitumen path was too good to be true and we weren’t going that way.
It wasn’t long before we had to leave the dirt path and head into the scrub, the things you find out here, an area had been dug out and fake turf laid on it, we’ll just pretend we didn’t see that and keep heading further in and up. Next thing we come across are some spare witches hats, now these can't be ignored, they are obviously here for us to take some phlogs with.
That plastic put down and now to actually find the plastic we are after. We soon located it and added our names.

Sunday. Nice to pick this cache up being it is an older cache placed by a very familiar name. Nice twist here too! Bit of a climb up to grab this cache, but all good in the end. Wiped the sweat from our faces, collected some spikey bushes and nearly tripped on the way down to collect another nearby cache. Cache is found in good + dry condition and log signed. Quick spotting here in a very likely cache locache.
This was the 3rd of 7 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***wingaap***, for showing us this place.

Out for the day with nikid1 & this was our third find. I think the paths have grown over a bit since the cache was placed as we had to do a bit of bush bashing to find it but we managed to get to the right place in the end. Nic made the find & we decided to take a different track back, still needed some bush bashing but found our way to the main path & onto the next.

I know the description says no need to bush bash but we think we started on the trail then lost it, found it, lost it but still made it to GZ. Headed back on the other trail which I then managed to led us off as I was too busy talking. Anyway no snakes spotted, a cache was found and we made it out safely. So all good!

After being banished from the house after sharing my cold with Mrs Prime, I decided a couple of the oldest still unfound caches in the area would be my target today. A nice little wander up the hill after parking in a familiar place (I've been here before, but not up to this cache for some reason).
Interesting constructions on the way uphill, well made and thought out - but seemingly a little unused now?
At GZ I first zeroed in on a very likely location - but the cupboard was bare .... until I repositioned uphill a bit (GPSr did eventually settle to zero there, but after I had signed it).
Thanks wingaap for entertaining me at this location.

I spotted this from about 20m away which was lucky as the GPSr had me about 12m out. But the hide was quite obvious. I had to laugh at the local kids' constructions I passed on the way. After finding the cache I decided to keep climbing and see how close to the top I could get without trespassing on government land or getting my head blown off. But that was a whole other adventure. Thanks for the cache
Wow if your in fit like us this gets the heart racing. Need a rest before the next.
After finding the last geocache a little lower down, we decided to head upwards and search for this one. It seems that a lot of the tracks here are now a little overgrown, so it took us a few minutes to find a trail we could follow. Near the top, we lost sight of the Trail again however our compass helped us out and we were soon at GZ where we sat down on a couple of rocks to sign the log. A short rest, and then back down again.

Once I'd realised that time hasn't been friendly to the original trail to GZ, I made a decent fist of this one (see pic). Thoroughly enjoyed my scramble up here on a stormy weekday afternoon. By the way, I set off for this up a wide dirt trail near Bennett Road, but you might be better off looking for the narrow trail head that can be found about 50 metres east of the other cache in this vicinity (GC3E1XP). Thanks to wingaap for the cache, cheers!
Out for a wander beofre my night shift. It was much cooler this afternoon, thankfully. I wandered along the bike path until I found the old trail that lead upwards. Not many people using this trail these days, it is starting to disappear.
It did not take long to reach GZ nad the cache was easily located.

The track is fading, but we go there in the end! Nice hike up and down.
Thanks for the fun
Thanks for the fun
Thanks to the Trails data from OpenStreetMaps, I found the trail leading up to the cache. Unfortunately, the trail was thin, unclear and unmarked, and I had to keep a lookout for snakes and low branches on the way. Once I got to the coordinates, finding the geocache was pretty straightforward. I brought a trackable that did not fit in the cache, so I hid it nearby. It was getting dark, so I then went back down the hill and started on a 20 minute bike ride back home. TFTC.
Cache is in great condition. A bit of a hike and like bancroft5 we couldn't find a trail.
Geohubby was first to the top. Couldn't find a trail so did bush bash about 90m up and up. At least there was a slight breeze on a very warm autumn day. Tftc
Found this cache on a lovely walk. Bush bashed even as though it said we shouldn't . Found whilst working on the October Challenge. Thanks for showing us this pretty piece of bushland
Found with sharpem and bearp503. We did try tl follow some sort of trail wnich led us to a lovely spot. We discovered on way back that we dic take a long way to find the cache in our usual style. Enjoyed the walk thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
Nice one! Demands a bit of a hike through the woods but totally worth it! Tftc!
While descending the hill came across a rest area where the cache was sleeping
Quick easy fun find after having completed yab. First place i looked. Tb drop Noticed a sign up for a controlled burn in this area.
Out caching with Remsjw. A steep hill to climb. Remsjw found the cache. We signed the log book which was safe and sound but saw the paper that the previous cacher put in the outer container. TFTC!
Out with mnance101 to clean up the some more of the area. Seems a bit of a challenge to get to the GZ without a bush bash. Seems some confusion - the log is actually in the face cream jar. All good there.
Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep rock climb up this one. No logbook in cache, so I threw in some pieces of paper. TFTC
Rocks, rocks, rocks... But which one? Found it, after a hike up the hill. TFTC.
While waiting for a muggle to come join me on the hunt, I thought i would clean up a few caches that have been on my radar for a while.
No bush bashing required...well, maybe when the cache was first placed. Even after reading all the previous logs, still managed to overshoot my entry point. And not a very obvious one at that.
Ok, so there seems to be a slight geo-trail, let's go.
Finally my gps had me 8 metres away. A quick scurry around and soon had the cache in hand.
Now...how do i get out of here?
Signed and returned. Tftc

Found on the way to YAB following a overgrown trail. Managed to miss it first time heading down a forestry track. Passed a temporary cubby house and remnants of renovation ventures and furniture. Quick find at GZ which was a blessing. TFTC wingaap
I set off to find this one today as it fills my last needed slot for the December challenge. I'd read the previous log stating that the track is very overgrown but figured as long as there's a track it shouldn't be too difficult.
I don't know if the previous finder under-stated the case or there's been a lot of growth in the last couple of months but the track is almost non-existent now. It's quite an uphill climb and some bush-bashing is necessary. Take plenty of water if you're doing it on a hot day. I had only a small 250ml bottle and it wasn't enough in the heat today.

The track is a little overgrown now, but if you follow what you can see straight up, you will find. A couple hollows to check
Up, Up, Up i go. Found his one fairly quickly as i was fighting the light to ensure i could complete YAB and get back to take the boy to footy training.

A day off on a Friday means time for a solo walk up a hill. My main target for the day was the infamous Y.A.B., but I couldn't resist this one on the way. I cam across an interesting hermit house along the way, but did not investigate too closely in case the inhabitant was home.
Found the cache without too much trouble. Nice heart starter for the morning!

While I was at the local Army base for the week I thought I would get some extra smilies on the map. Set out on a bleak rainy evening to find a few. Being an out of towner, I really was geographically embassessed with the next few caches. I went for YAB cache but according to my in car GPS it was on Military training area so I settled for this one.
I set the coords and it took me to the bike path. So off I totter along the path watching for the ever present bike riders . I get to within 150 meters and I look up and see this wall of mountain and trees, so I give it a go. Wet rocks/grass and boots do not mix so after trying about 30 meters I though that it was just to hard and for me thats saying something. As I walked back to the car I spied a work road that went off in the direction of the cache. So up I went, ow so much easier than before. So now the GPS had me down to 50 meters so off I went bush bashing. Not as bad, but still I was saying to myself, what if I do an ankle or something. The things we do for a smiley. I trudged up and across the mountain and went to get within 5 meters and sat down and there it was well camoed. Signed then headed off down the hill which was even worse. Made it in one piece carring a few extra 8 legged friends most of the way. Thanks for the hill scramble.

I am a bit geographically challenged most of the time, but today I found this one tucked up all safe and sound. The log is lovely and dry even with all the rain we've had. I didn't know this area of bush was here, it's a really lovely place to visit - all the nicer because of Mr Wingaap. As always thank you so much for your wonderful caches

I have been meaning to do this one for a long time, but never enough time or energy or weather to do so. Today, my fitness level was tested and I passed with ease. It was a gentle amble and then the zig zag through the rocks. At GZ, I was able to retrieve the container and sign the log finally! Now for the next one! TFTC wingaap
Tftc. Found a trail most of the way up but like others had to resort to the rock hop and bush walk to recover and return this one. A well designed cache and nice to catch a glimpse of a master cache maker at work.
I had just done the "On You Bike" series from Brother Colin which brought me close to this cache. Well, I suppose anywhere is close when it comes to GC'ing. I started my adventure from near the golf course and hid my bike a little way up the mountian in some long grass. I started my way up the climb. I could faintly see tracks here and there though I think most of them to be animal tracks.
It was not long before I was getting close and I am glad, as it was bloody hot today and I was sweating like no tomorrow. I had to leave my helmet on as I left my hat in the car and this prevented the sweat from getting in my eyes... Lucky there was no one else around, as I would have looked quite special.
I had to use my phone today, which I try avoid as I hate using it. The reason why is my lucky GPSr is in the shop having repairs done. After following the stupid phone I thought to be a little off so corrected myself and sure enough, the phone was leading me astray and corrected itself too. Not before long, I was where I needed to be and after a quick scan of the area I found what I was looking for.
I opened up the cache and did the deed and replace it as found. Onwards and upwards towards my goal for the day.
This cache was part of my EMBSABR - Early Morning Big Smoke Adventure Bike Ride that I did today. I had to come to BNE from the Sunny Coast to pick up Fairy Mother today at 1330 after her New Years Cruise. So, I thought, why not make a day of it and start very early and grab a few caches whilst down in the Big Smoke.
There was only one rule today... After having parked the car at the 'The Gap park 'n' ride' all caches had to be done on either bike or foot and only 5 minutes was allowed per find... With the exception of this cache and the one to follow!
The main goal was to end the day with one of my Fav' CO's and that is wingaap and his cache Y.A.B. Which I am glad to say that after one hell of a bike ride, on a scorcher of a day, I made my goal!
Thanks for the cache wingaap!

Since I was nearby, there was no point in leaving without taking a look at this one. So I continued along the the path and soon found the track leading up.
About halfway from the track to the cache, I come across what looked very much like an abandoned camp area, with a destroyed esky, 240L rubbish bin, large sheets of black plastic and chairs and like. Thankfully no one around so just skirted around the edge and continued on up.
Anyway this is where it started to get a little harder going, but nothing that I could not handle, and soon enough I heard my GPSr go beep, now where could it be. I general look around and I spotted some likely signs. A bit of a look and sure enough the cache was there. I got to the log book and got things signed off before replacing and looking to the next stage.

Out for a day of caching today with Geo wife & Dr_Pepi as we took on this bike trail and surrounding caches. Thank you for bringing us to the area to get some more smiles on our journey. This cache was one of the surrounding ones, however required a bit of bush bashing to get to it. I know there would have been a trail to it somewhere, sadly we could not find it so we just thought 'Lets go for it' .... The start of an uphill journey. Tftcsl
Out on a long caching journey on a beautiful sunny spring day with the cantcacheus2014 team. Made our way from the golf course to this one without really finding the path that it talks about… saw an entry point from the road but the path seemed to peter out after a short time. So, like others, we bush bashed our way to this one, making lots of noise to deter any slithery creatures in the area. Mr cantcacheus was up ahead of us and spotted the cache first. Then, onwards and upwards towards the top of the mountain (or at least to the next cache). Where is that blasted path?
We thought we would tackle this one first up, then for a spot of urban caching, all A OK with cache , do not think there was an easy way up the hill , if there was we would rather not know TFTC
Great little walk to this point and another quick find. Love the bush, the views, the weather.
Thanks again, wingaap.
Onwards and upwards for my 3rd cache attempt for the morning. Still can't find a trail, but going is easy enough.
Thanks again, wingaap.

Time to venture up this hill but I only went to this one as it will be too dark to see and I will come back to do the other one up further.
It did not take long to find the cache and I signed the log which was nice and dry.
Cute little container.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks wingaap All good with this cache

Out for a ride along the Enogerra Bike Way out to The Gap and grabbed some caches along the way. Decided to attack this one after finding another close by on the biketrack. Chained up the bike up in the bush away from the track and dragged myself up the hill. Only a short search for this one thankfully, sined the log and moved on to another cache further up the hill. Tftc.
Too many rocks to look under. Found the right one eventually. TFTC

In the area this morning picking up a few caches and this was on the radar. I found the initial path, but along the way I noted that it continued northish when I needed to go east. Bush bash time. It's all good, the GPS says 100m, but then I remember 100m is not 100m when going uphill. The m painfully ticked down until I came to a site that matched the title. Now where could it be...? Found the likely spot and there sat the prize. Unscrewed the container to find quite a deal of water inside. I drained it out but due to the drizzle, could not give it a proper drying out. Unfortunately the log book is close to unusable. I did manage to record my name, but I think the cache will need some tlc. tftc wingaap
This cache has long been on my must do list, but usually when I'm in the area I'm not dressed for a hike. However, today T-Tech wanted to get it too, so we headed out this afternoon much better prepared [^] We took the bike path then the fire trail and then followed a very vague path up and up to GZ. Bit of a hill climb Lots of hidey-holes made searching fun and T-Tech soon found the container. It had some water in it so we dried everything before repacking. TFTC, wingaap. Now to go further up this hill
Out with IolantheK again getting her cache of the day. She had been wanting to get this cache for a will, and considering where it was I thought it was best to make the trek with her [^]
Made our way to where we thought the path started and made our way up the ridge following a path of sorts. Made quick progress and arrived at the GZ co-ords, now for the cache. After a search around a few likely spots we consulted the hint and discovered the containers hiding spot after that. Cache was a little damp so we dried things out in the breeze whilst signing the log. With the log signed and the returned to its home we continued up the hill to our next cache [^]
The cache is dry and in good condition.

I could not find any track either so "up the guts" it was. My GPS was jumping around at GZ but I found some likely arranged rocks and found cache under them. I found a nice place to sit and sign the log. I had a rest here as the next cache on my radar looked daunting. TFTC.
Not sure where the existing tracks were, but we didn't find them. As feathertop said, we resorted to the clue, and he made the find.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
# 1103. As my knees were already "stuffed" from so much walking this week I left it to the others to put my name in the nearby cache. I do indeed have the trackable that they brought back for me. TFTC
We decided to leave the cycle path and head up the hill to this cache. We found a few faint tracks but these kept petering out but it was hot but not too difficult coming to the right level.
I was hoping I would find this without resorting to the clue but my GPS kept jumping about so we checked the hint and quickly had the cache.
I think BettyBoo may have the TB that we found here.
Thanks wingaap

Took off from work, heading straight for this one, pausing only to change out of a suit into something a little more...durable. Very familiar with Bennetts Rd now, so I found a park and charged off up the first path I could see, pausing after a while to consult the terrain map, and see there should have been a second path heading up to the cache. The recent rain has really greened things up and the weeds are thriving. I saw a scrub turkey a long way up... those critters are everywhere. Eventually I came to the GZ and was glad to find the cache very quickly, so I could pause and enjoy the serenity more thoroughly. All still good here: TFTC WingAAP!
Well, where do we start.....on the track, ok, good place to start....mmmm....now where?? No more track and the gps says that way really???? Ok, off we go bush bashing....thought the descriptions said no bush bashing.... ok, that's ok, use to it now!!! Oh is that where it is.....ok success!!! Mmmm now onto the next cache.....which way....oh up!!!

After my attack on Y.A.B it was a downhill hike to get to the cache. Again the GPS overshot me by 20m and I had to walk back up the hill to find the cache.
It's amazing how much moisture can seep into a sealed container like this. (The lid was screwed on tight when I found it) It is no real problem but things are a bit dampish.
Thanks wingaap. This one has been on my to do list for many a year. I'm glad to finally get a smilie for it.

I couldn't find the eastern track to this hide, so I coasted down the hill and found the main western track.
However, I couldn't find the side track that heads off to this cache. Perhaps I didn't go far enough up the main track to find the side track?
I followed and animal pad into the bush and secreted the geo-cycle away in the bush about 30 metres from the main track and then pushed on up the hill.
After a good heart pounding climb, I got there and quickly located the cache. Quick rest and then onwards and upwards for todays primary target.
