Found a likely spot with Deano but no cache in there. Rang a previous finder, yep, that's where it use to be. With so many DNFs perhaps a check of the cache is in order.
Pretty sure we knew where it should have been, but no one was home. Have photos if you want to check if we were looking in the right spot.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Did not find with Robmc who took a photo of where we thought the final hide was.
Spent about 6 minutes. no avail. no proze. Din't even see a lite plane. Nothing. Took a pic though!
Thanx Beaker and clear skies from TeamAstro.
Had an attempt with Sister Act to show them the ropes, however unable to locate it this time out.

I think I'm starting to get the hang of these SE caches [^] Lucky I brought my glasses with me!
Cheers, TFTH.

We spent some time looking for this one, I figure I know what we were looking for, but we did not turn it up.
Finally catching up on the last logs from our drive home from the CCC weekend.
This was the first stop on our drive back to Adelaide. Found quickly when you look in the right spot.
Those trucks sure roar past!

2nd of 12 cache finds for the last day of our fantastic long weekend in the 'mount'. After our DNF the other night Mr E and Mr C were determined not to let this one beat them - and then woo hoo - they found it. Clever hide Beaker. TFTC

We tried this one on our first night in the Mount and we determined not to let it beat us! TNLN TFTC
Tried this one on the way home from the CCC event, but after a quick look decided to leave it for the next time as we had a long drive to go. Cheers. MODU.
We had a go at finding this when we were last here in January this year, but left convinced that it had gone. Logs and advice since then convinced us that we should have another go .
I now see why I didn’t find it last time. Bugger, that’s a devious hide. Thanks for the exercise Beaker.

Tried to find this one on the way to the CCC event. Saw a spot where I would hide it but found only cobwebs...
Oh well... onward and upward...

21:30. Out with chizbeki for a night time caching frenzy, however a 2nd DNF for our first night in Mt Gambier .

Quick find on a drive back into the Mount. It's amazing how many of these monuments/plaques are around. You drive past them all the time without realising!
Cheers Beaker

It's all go again.
The overtaking lane has moved the road closer to the cache location. I'd strongly suggest that the kiddies stay in the car for this one.

Roadworks have commenced now and the place will be out of action for a few months i suspect. The host stone will be nearer to the road than before due to widening of the tarmac. If it is too close to the road and poses a threat to safety of cachers, the cache will need to be archived.

Twenty-third of twenty-four caches on my first day in Mt Gambier (urban day one) in company with Beaker's Bunch. Finds don't come much easier than this one. I was in BB's garage, admiring an impressive collection of number plates, when this cache fell into my hands at 2310. It's a micro, so I made no exchange. Thanks to Beaker's Bunch for the cache. Cheers, dak.
Extensive roadworks are about to commence along this section of road. The cache will be temporarily removed and placed off line until all works are complete.
Do not attempt to find this cache. The container has gone... for now.

Luckily we had got this cache before it had been taken offline. Just had to wait to get home to log everything. Found on our way into the Mount on our caching visit.
Thanks Beaker's. Make sure you bring it back when the roadworks are complete for others to enjoy.

This one had 3 of us searching with no result, so the Tealby B Team ventured out of the car to assist & he had the cache in hand within minutes. TFTC.
PS I wonder what causes the white foamy blobs in the overhanging trees? I assume it is some sort of caterpillar, but I couldn't see any.

Another Micro! The third find for the day and all have been micros, including 2 of the smallest we have ever seen. The was our second visit and this time we found what looked like the obvious spot - but there was no cache. We were about to give up when Mr FATNAV trod on it lying on the ground about a metre from the stone. Put it back where it should be.

We had to take brother in law #2 to airport, so we found this one after the drop off.
Neat hide and an interesting bit of history.
Thanks

Another piece of Australian history gone but not forgotten, we pulled up here and took quite awhile to search the entire area with no luck. Gave the Maccamob hotline a ring, they confirmed that we were definitely in the right location. With this new information we had another look and found the cache in a place that we had looked at least twice before
Thanks Beakers Bunch for a very well hidden cache in an interesting location

Found where it should have been but i think it was muggles as it was found out in the open about 1.5 metre from the stone. Hid it where i believed it should have been.

Have been out and changed the log sheet. The slightly damp one now gone. The cache location has also moved slightly in order to keep the cache dry. Not enough to affect the coords though...

I showed the cache to Sallymander, and cringed at what was in store for the next couple of days. Nice she said
thats 550 up, and what a great area to reach the milestone.
Found pretty easily, as it was out in the open
Needs the log sheet replaced as the paper is damp, and full
Hopefully the next 50 finds come a lot quicker for me!!!

A find made easier by the micro cache sitting in open view. Recent rains may have washed it from its original hiding spot. Contents rather soggy.
Found by Mary & David at 1630. Another fascinating piece of local history, and a well-hidden micro cache. Seems we are in for more of the same tomorrow morning. We circled the area several times before achieving success. Our thanks to Beaker's Bunch yet again.
Found at 10:30. It took all of 10 seconds to find, and a good thing too, given it is just like Nanocache (even down to the bit of wire) I'd hate to have logged a no-find. As I crossed the road to put it back, the rain started pouring down, and then a series of semis came past forcing me to stand there getting drenched.
Eventually found after extensive search of area by the tallest member of the team, extremely well hidden I must say.
I was looking for a mirco not a nano, Lambchops found it, she has better eyes then me.

Didn't find it. As we were on our way to the Great Ocean Road, we decided to stop over to give it a shot, but decided to drive on after five minutes of futile searching.

A devious little hide.
I bet the Mount is rueing me introducing these to Beaker. Ever since we got to laugh as he tried to find Nano he has been waiting for this moment.
Yes I had great difficulty finding it.

Wow - never new this existed, although could be mainly due to taking a different road of late to main business out this way.

Found it on the 2nd pass of this location today. Was easier to find the second time around for some reason. Nice hide, with a nice container.

Had a look around here for five minutes but couldn't find the cache. There were thousands of grasshoppers everywhere. Will try again on our next trip that way
Quick & Easy Find.
Leesa refused to get out of the car because of the grasshopper plague that was in process. Hilarious.
Slick hide guys. oh and FTF doesnt count Scott as we where out of town.

I couldn't count the amount of times I have driven past this location and didn't know it was there.
I found the cache reletivly easy but was pleased I had done Perfectly Potty first.
Thanks Beaker
