After a long debate, we've decided that this park has too many unusual characters loitering around, so we've decided to archive this cache.

11-Jan-07
Disabling until we can visit on a muggle-less day and sort the micro and final cache - was never supposed to be placed so far back.

01-Nov-06
Hey ya all, found the micro no worrys but somebody was home and was'nt a happy chappy (mr wetta) just about pooped myself. Found the cache but found futher back then arms reach, found a stick to pock it out.
- Toy car
- Geo coin
+ magnetic key holder

Thanks for the cache, had fun with it.

14-Oct-06
Our first multi-cache find - Yay! The clue took a bit of working out but we got there in the end. Found the final cache without any problems - what a great spot. Just had to be careful of the teenage muggles around!

+ Toy car
+ Butterfly coin
- Policeman keyring
- Generic geocoin

BTW - only one clue left in microcache.

08-Oct-06
2nd time lucky. The final cache is in a very challenging spot, required me to lie down and shuffle forward using my elbows commando style (those of you with sasquatch arms probably wouldnt need to)!
+ Butterflys Generic Geocoin
- Nil

This is my first multi cache and had fun with it. Yes the first cache is a bit wet. The final one is not a dead give away and takes some spotting, but it is there and ok. The park is nice but the day was not sunny. Took nothing, left nothing. TFTC

16-Sep-06
I was able to find the 1st micro cache without too many difficulties but after about 15-20 minutes of searching at the final location I gave up. Not sure how I could have missed the final cache given how clear the clue is???

13-Sep-06
Visited the park to find that the playground has been restored, the bird avairy repaired and full of birds. Checked caches and both fine. Slight update to the clues inline with changes to the playground. Happy hunting!

27-Apr-06
Disabling the cache for now as the childrens playground has been removed meaning people won't be able to complete the sums for the first stage. Hopefully they'll put something in its place soon and we can enable again with slightly different clues.

24-Apr-06
Dropped by make sure the micro is OK (it sits submerged in water for much of its lonely life!). Micro and Final cache are fine although the pencil and sharpener have gone walkies - unfortunately we didn't think to bring anything with us so perhaps next finder could drop a pencil?

Sadly "Old Knobbly" has been chopped down and the bird cages have been vandalised, releasing the birds. What is the world coming too?

15-Apr-06
I counted carefully, or so I thought, but was I to use true north or magnetic north ?
I ended up with too many uncertainities to resolve using the checksum.

So I guessed at what I thought were the more likely figures but I ended up with an impossible or at least unlikely position for the micro so gave up at that point.
With hindsite I might have been right but I lacked the confidence to look with any great conviction.

Billhillies and Zebedy found it, Kids enjoyed the parkand solving the puzzle - thanks for the confirmation clue. Sarah found it.
- skittles

Found it with Billhillies. We really enjoyed this cache and so did the kids. Didn't even know the park was there. Thanks for a great cache.

We loved this one, had a couple of kids with us and they were right into it. Loved the three caches and all the puzzles to solve. Left packet of skittles and some medals and took highlighter pen. thanks

[Thoroughly enjoyed this cache, once we discovered the track to the play ground... how many blue bridges are there - we counted the planks on more than one!!! And the bird cages- well, guess we should consider the door between each to be closed when we counted. Thanks for the checksum, that helped with the confirmation of the avaries clue. Great idea to see all the park. Loved]old knobbly[note - micro is collecting a puddle about it, but is quite dry inside. In - smiley frisbee, out - Police car. Thanks]

20-Mar-06
This is a nicely laid-out park with a great variety of activities that can done here. There were a few muggles around even at 1745 hrs so must have looked a little weird counting the planks on the blue bridge. The location of the final clue was waterlogged so care must be taken when closing the container.
In: Police car and Pinball game
Out: Badminton Burge TB.
Cheers for the cache.
(Highly recommend the Lavenders restaurant for a meal).

This one was felt great to complete as I had a failure on a similar one in Australia recently. Living in Lower Hutt and having been to the Library many times, I had not really appreciated this park nearby. Had a bit of trouble with deciding which end of the GPS was indicating though. Thanks for the cache. Cheers!

15-Mar-06
Yay - found it this time. After much perseverence I found and retrieved the cache. Yay!
Thanks Blondie and Baldie for checking on the cache the other day.
Saw a white-faced heron stalking along the stream while I was there, but otherwise the park was pretty quiet.

12-Mar-06
Dropped by with some more stash, replacement micro clue sheets and most importantly to make sure the cache is still there. It is! Clearly the camo paint job is working! Wink Dropped of "Badminton Burge" TB as well. Lovely cool quiet evening, we had the entire park to ourselves!

11-Mar-06
Went for a walk to and around the park this evening. Found the answers to the questions. Then found the micro. 4 sheets left, the master is gone.
Unfortunately we couldn't find the final cache, even with the clue. I hope it is still there! But we had a fun time anyway and felt like we'd done well with what we did manage.
It is a nice park with the birds, stream, playground equipment etc.. I've been orienteering around here before. This cache is closest on my unfound list (2.6km away) so I hope we can give it another go soon.

- Nothing
+ Tri-Hi-Liter, Heart Pad, Games Pad.

What a mission! Yee Haa! Coordinates spot on but could I find it? Nup! Well, obviously I did eventually!!! Cool Cache.

I am bitterly disappointed though that the cache has been 'stripped'. - Putting 5c pieces in is NOT a 'Trade' (in my opinion) and certainly belittles the work gone into this cache. Especially when items of value have been removed.

TFTC & Congratulations on excellent work. Smile
LOL - ]camouflage works!

Note: Just sitting at home and realised that my 7 room apartment is really 1 room because there are doors between them. eg: Trust the clues.

[NB: Just realised that this is found cache No 30. Found cache No 1 was 28 January 2006. Now that 'is' exciting...]

Had a lovely walk through the gardens finding this one. Lots and lots of muggles but found all the same. About 4 clue sheets left in the micro-cache, and it seems someone took the pink one!

Thanks for the experience.

+10 trip Train ticket (half used) and Bus Ticket (mostly used)
-CF Card
Cheers, Rolly.

Nice multi-cache. GPS Spot on. We're beginning to trust it now. Need to note that the number of cages is 4 not 6. There are 6 wings, but some of the wings are joined (no door). Threw us off a little, until we understood what you were after. Nice spot for the final cache. Good be difficult on a sunny day. Picked up Cayman Bug and Geo-coin, which we will take for a trip South next week.

18-Jan-06
Determined to get the FTF after the coordinate change! After yesterday's beautiful sunshine, today was drizzly and cool. Which luckily meant no muggles around to see me scrabbling on my hands and knees Smile. All coords spot on!
Left Takemetoyourleader TB who wants to go to Wellington and a geocoin that is supposed to be in the EU!
-eraser + shower gel
TFTC - it was fun!

opps :I well here it is now anyway

17-Jan-06
Not sure where I went wrong but couldn't find the microcache - ended up on the side of the road outside the park??? Not sure if the clue related to the micro or the final cache but it didnt seem to help Sad

17-Jan-06
Fixed co-ordinates and updated clue sheets in the microcache. The objects to count remain the same, just the equations to determine the final cache co-ordinates have changed. Sorry for the mixup! Red Face

16-Jan-06
17-01-06 - Found problem with co-ords - GPS set to wrong datum! Hadn't realised our mistake as we have managed to pinpoint most of the caches we've found with excellent accuracy. Sorry for the inconvenience - will fix ASAP!
