I was out in the area today with Samwalkers and took Sam for his daily sabbatical on this one but unfortunately after making our way around the WP's no cache could be found.

30-Oct-11
Whoops wrong log type, should have been a DNF - fixed now!

30-Oct-11
This one has been here for a while - it was one of my earliest caches placed - and I have replaced it about three times in those years. It's been fun, and a good learning experience for me as a new cacher back then... not a good idea to put it in all those rocks unless you want to frustrate people... so move it to the trees, get it muggled, replace it, and so on. Live and learn. I still love this area and the walk that this one provided many times. Freeing the area up for a new cache might be a good idea... Crinnigan's ruins and the rock northwest from GZ are begging for caches... or is that Fore! caches????

19-Sep-10
Not sure what that one muggle was doing, but it sure must have been interesting, he wasn't budging! Used the Tiger-Monkey as cover, and she was very cooperative. A few minutes later and a bottle now empty, cache log signed, cache reseeded, and off we went!

TFTC!

30-May-10
Out today for a solo caching trip in the pouring rain Sad Finally found the right spot, after disturbing waaay to many bugs out for a drink, and having to quish a very evil looking spider right under the cache itself. No swaps, as the cache is quite wet inside, message sent to the owner. TFTC!

15-May-10
Had a lovely walk along the waypoints, with the Geokids finding the clues. Found GZ, but our printout didn't have the clue, so we were looking in the wrong spot, mostly. We did look briefly in the right spot, but obviously not closely enough. We'll come back another day!

Gee, thats was harder than I thought it would be (muggles kept going past) Saturaday morinings are not the best time for this cache. Just a note - it was half full of water, I tipped it out but rust from the clippers is everwhere (may need maintanence) however the log was ok so I signed it and put the lid on tightly.

TFTC!

Dropped by to do a check on this one seeing as the last finder was a DNFinder.. sooo... yep, it had gone; and so I replaced it... it's back to a yucky hide, if you know what I mean... but don't follow the saying and leave no stone unturned - just use the hint and be more concise than that [:o)]

Cache was restocked... so were Huxley's toys seeing as there were two balls (one tennis and one jumbo teninis-like ball) and a vortex waiting for us near GZ

14-Jan-10
#338a: Once at GZ we had to wait a while for two girls who were throwing rocks into the water. Then spent a while searching for the cache, but could not find. Neither hanging, nor on the ground.

Found with MattGemEricJack and Pollywogs - a good beginners level multi flr lots of practice.

13-Jun-09
Nice walk and the geodog had a nice time of the lead. Kids enjoyed the park.
Some sticky beak muggle kid asked what we were looking for and we told him we were looking for a lost dog! He was happy enough with this and went off to try to find our imaginary lost puppy, while we snuck over to grab the cache. As fast as we know he was still looking when we drove off for the next cache.

Found our first ever coin here on a great day out with the geolations,
Lovely walk kids enjoyed the park.
Cache quite noticable surprised not yet spotted by muggles. TFTC

31-May-09
Out with the geomum and she wanted to go for a walk. So thought we go do a cache together. Got to waypoint 1 and she was impressed how geocachers use something like this to get numbers. Off to waypoint 2 and made a easy find, same as the next one. Got to gz and wondered how this was still here. Geomum made the find was really interested in the building and plague near gz left coin TFTC and the short stroll

14-May-09
Introduced purple elephants to geocaching and she loved it. First find for newbie.

25-Mar-09
Well, thanks to our practice of heading home between WP's, this nice 2 km multicache ended up being a nice 19 km multicache. The geohounds loved it!

Headed out to GZ this morning - yet another Fore! cache that daylight would have assisted with. Eventually, after many pine prickes, we discovered the cache and a pleasant return trip home was had.

TFTC, and the exploration around Ngunnawal

25-Feb-09
Not having a dog, I tried to drag the cats around with me. Not a very successful idea. Oh well, my cache hunt was successful and that was the object of the exercise.

Thanks Fore!

22-Feb-09
I kicked around in the rocks for sometime before re-reading the description. TFTC.

21-Feb-09
Nice easy walk. However my maths was wrong for the first waypoint after parking the car. I was out by about 20m. My reference put me in a stand of bulrushes. Geodog had great fun jumping in and out of the creek while I searched the bulrushes. Finally I headed for home and found the number about 20m back the way I had come. thanks Fore!

10-Feb-09
It just didn't seem right to do this one without the geohound, so I thought I better do it sooner rather than later. Didn't have any problems with this one except I really didn't read the whole cache description, so when I got to the 2nd waypoint I was looking for the cache. No wonder why I couldn't find it! After reading the rest of the cache description it was an enjoyable and easy walk with the geohound and Geogypsy!.

TF!TC!

10-Feb-09
Did this one with BeveJo and the geohound. Had trouble finding it as BeveJo went straight for the cache at the first waypoint instead of reading the directions. In the end had a nice walk and easily found the cache after reading the hint at the final waypoint.

Thanks again Fore

This cache reminds me of the alternative title of Bilbo Baggins' first adventure.
A familar hide technique (glad it wasn't in the rocks).
Thanks, Robmc.

29-Dec-08
My 21st and final cache for the day. I'll admit I drove from Wp1 to WP2 and from WP2/3 to WP4/GZ.

A quick find and log!

14-Dec-08
Another nice cache in a good area to walk the child (we don't have a dog and little boys are about the same - picking up sticks and throwing them to fetch and kicking golf balls we found along the way) Lots of fun.
TFTC TNLN

05-Oct-08
our 2nd geodog cache for the day so some bonus walking time for geodog we made this a loop by jumping the "creek" and returning from the other side.
I was surprised to find the size of cache, and worried this might be muggled but nice cointainer and great logbook
thanks for the dog-cache

02-Sep-08
Another great spot to visit with the geohounds. A very easy and enjoyable multi cache. Thanks Fore!

Clocked up the miles on the bike this morning - first ride for some time. A great cache for dog lovers (I'm told) and bike riders alike! TNLN, TFTC

13-May-08
I was here last year looking for a cache but found nothing. This time, with the new cache location, I had it in hand in minutes. TNLN.

23-Apr-08
I read the new logs and hey presto, thank God it was not a snake as we must of been within cm of it before, of course we were looking at the rocks! Much better site. TNLNSL. Thank you for the multi.

I must keep my logs up to date, I must keep my logs up to date,I must keep my logs up to date,I must keep my logs up to date!!! Guess who looked in the old place! After spend so long looking in the wrong spot I will defintly go back to finish this one!!

18-Apr-08
Dude, rocked on!

18-Apr-08
Finally found this one too, after a few DNF's a while back. It's a little annoying that I spent time looking for it in it's old spot, but it's good to have finally found it. As I had done the circuit before, and spent what seemed like countless hours turning over rocks, I knew EXACTLY where the cache was and we found it within moments of arriving.

Why has the fencing around the nearby ruins been removed? I thought it was a historical site? - checked it out anyway.

Thanks, Jezzza Xtreme.

07-Apr-08
Did this one and its puzzle neighbour this afternoon. A nice circuit. Thanks Fore!

06-Apr-08
Another Fore! cache, another interesting trail.

Parked the car at the designated co-ords and set of for the approx 2 klm walk. Made all the calculations and all the correct turns and found the cache as described. Then back to car.

Another cool hide - TNLN & TFTC.

Cheers,

04-Apr-08
Enjoyed a pleasant stroll around with my mum to find the WPs & eventual cache. Was questioned by a muggle workman near GZ when I had cache in hand, but I don't think he saw the cache - he was interested in my "orienteering" explanation though.
TNLN TFTC.

30-Mar-08
Another great cache in the northern suburbs. I only passed one person out for an early morning walk, found the cache after a brief search. A nice cache hidden in plain view!

Thanks Fore! the cache.

262 - I was glad when I saw this one become available again - always look Fore!ward to a Fore! Cache...

Completed the walk and the WPs (alas without Geodog..). Got to GZ and quickly located cache - a neat liitle container cleverly hidden. Always nice to be the first to write in a new Log Book !!

TNLN - TFTC !!

Cheers....

Okay, this one's back and ready to go, with a new container and a new final hide. Come and get it - it's a great walk, about 2kms long on nice paths with good views and no real hills to speak of. Definitely one for the stroller and kids, and / or the geohound.

19-Jan-08
After the few days of solid rain I went out there this morning to do a check on it and had some trouble with it... so I'll disable it for the moment and have a think about how to remedy the situation best. It's definitely a cache worth doing - good stroll with the goeohound in an offleash area, so I will find a way to resurrect it, shortly. Interesting to note that the nearby ruins, called Crinigan's Ruins, have been recently unfenced. Wonder why? It was supposedly an historical site. More news soon.

02-Jan-08
Had another look, it was pretty hot, and so were the rocks, and after looking in a few places following some direction from Captain Peachfuzz I still came out with nothing.

08-Oct-07
Had a nice walk around, well set up cache, but when we got to GZ, we groaned, and after roughly 45 minutes of turning over rocks within a large area [I think it's a bit messy now...] we gave up, exhausted. Thanks for the walk though. [:(!]

07-Oct-07
Found all the waypoints and got to the final location and had nasty thoughts. Looked, decrypted the hint, looked again. I was also getting a little light headed so left without success.(

21-Apr-07
With the morning fog lifting to reveal blue skies we set forth to find the hidden chalice. With many a quest to be accomplished we packed for a long and precarious journey that would test the mind as well as the body. As we roamed the landscape completing each quest as they appeared, the leather on our sandals wearing thin and our brains in a lather we reached the site of the chalice which remained hidden from our weary eyes. But what’s this we spy but by George someone has lost there balls on the quest and to come so far and be so close. The chalice was soon in hand and we rejoiced to the maids of Tupperware.

20-Apr-07
FINALLY FOUND IT on my third visit. Fore! kindly sent me a message with lots more detail. Even then I had trouble. ;-( Just too many rocks for my brain to process.

L: Superball T: Whale

Thanks for the note Fore! Smile

I've been to this pile of rocks TWICE now. Even with the clue - NO JOY.

What does "2.5m from South" mean? The southern end of the rickpile?

I live pretty close by so I will keep trying. This is driving me nuts!

10-Feb-07
Nice easy find this time with the clue, left the second page with the clue behind last time. One of the clues seemed to be missing but I was able to pick it up from another nearby one of the same type. I went straight to the cache this time and it was obvious, left a GC (I think)and removed a pocket knife (naughty). I ensured that it was covered and wandered off.

Found the cache after decrypting the clue. We were originally about 10m out but eventially found the it fairly easily. A great walk for me and ride for the kids. Very enjoyable. Smile

T - a stress ball (why my 6 year old wanted that?)
L - a childrens necklace and bracelet.

27-Jan-07
Got to final destination and couldn't find cache. Had a good look amongst the rocks...
I did find a purple 2L icecream lid...???

10-Oct-06

Nice stroll around. TFTC

20-May-06
A nice walk in the afternoon, although I get the impression you need a dog to fit the part. When we approached the final waypoint, I said to Super Nay, "I hope it's not in there." Sad TNLN

17-Apr-06
Found with Wilder Wild, after no success at Forecast we thought we would have a go at this one. The pile of rocks was a bit of a worry at first until we looked at the clue and followed the directions.

Thanks Fore for a fun cache.

11-Apr-06
Well after a couple of false starts I finally finished this one. I also wanted to pick up the Chevy TB so I can take it closer to the Airport and to its goal.

I like the cache it was not long, but also interesting. Thanks

31-Mar-06
Another suburban ride, I can see why the dogs would like it. A pity lots of dog owners do not know how pooper scoopers work. I actually found my self driving around this park on my way to other local caches as well today.

Took Goofy TB

25-Mar-06
A lovely run around these suburbs as our last attack for the day.

Was a good hunt, the points were all easy to find. If I had my dog here, he would have liked it.

Didn't really like the final hiding place - couldn't have found the cache without the clue.

Unfortunately no swaps here for me, but the others left a TB.

25-Mar-06
Found with cached and Ash-Dash. A nice walk with a surprisingly large cache container at the end.

Found this one with MasterXCMTB on the bikes. There were lots of numbers and vowels flying about the place but it didn't worry me as I was not the one checking the coordinates for the waypoints. The hidey place was easy to locate with the hint, otherwise it would have been like trying to find a cahse in a rockery!

Lovely walk – even though it was getting hot! Had to resort to the hint, else I was going to go mad! Took badge, left mouse. Thanks again Fore!

21-Jan-06
Rode bike all the way from Tuggeranong. Then indeed it was a pleasant little ride to find the cache. Took a good 10 minutes to locate it though! Took Marvin, left elephant key-ring.
A pleasure to ride Northside chasing geocaches on the road bike for a change after the last few weeks of Big Mountain bike riding chasing caches in Namadgi.
A 99km round trip for the day, 3 caches, home by noon, Cooeeeee.

19-Jan-06
Waypoints and walk were straight forward... but finding the cache... oh, boy... that was hard. Took a while even with the clue.

Great hide. TFTC. Took TB.

18-Jan-06
Found with Allrounder

Tried it after work with stubborn fellow cacher refusing to use hint.

Discovered hint really helps.

Returned at 9.30 to find we had been beaten to first spot.

Sigh...!!

Nice cache, great walk for dogs, family, anyone.

Good hide. Fun Big Grin TNLN

FTF - wow @ 2030. Took the geo dog (not that she helped with any of the maths) and we had a great run in this nearby park. She had a great time chasing some ducks at GZ. Great cache (especially as it was near home) TNLN and left TB for more regular cachers to move on. TFTC

18-Jan-06
Found with Shadow!

1st attempt started @ 18:30, managed to locate all the waypoints and end up at the final location BUT unable to find cache as I hadn't brought the hint (d'oh!). Returned with said hint @ 21:45 and success!!

Second time I have just missed out being Fore!'s first visitor. Sad

Excellent hunt! Cool log book.

Took nothing.
Left golf pocket tool.
