This cache on the other hand was an epic disaster. Drove around in the back blocks for ages trying to get to GZ before we realised that we had to be on the highway. Eventually got to GZ to discover the only bit remaining of the cache was the labelled lid [xx)] It wasn't easy to spot either in amongst all the other rubbish scattered around this spot
This one definately requires some maintanace!
This one definately requires some maintanace!
Wasn't sure of the accessibility of this one, but walking past a line of trucks where all the drivers were not to be seen meant that we could retrieve the cache easily enough. The coordinates were spot on.

Found at 13.40 after waiting for muggle to move on. They were parked right at the cahce and I think she had 3 or 4 smokes before leaving.
We out waited her and had an easy find as cache was exposed. Re covered the cache.

A nice quick find on our way to Ballarat to look at houses - not horses - on Melbourne Cup Day. Was quite exposed, tried to cover it up best as we could. The lack of biscuits in the cache was made up for later in the day during a coffee break.

This had to be a quick stop on our way to the AWG 69 meeting point for a walk along the upper Werribee River. We were able to park within 10 metres but an initial search failed so stepped back a bit and spotted the cannister staring us in the face somewhat exposed by the strong northerly wind. Tried to improve the lie when we replaced it and the camouflage but erosion may recur. TNLN
[We've been meaning to find this cache, but everytime we were in a hurry. Mrs Kamagong and Kamagong Jr finally found this one on our way to a friend's birthday, while Kamagong and Baby Kamagong waited in the parking lot.]

Found today by Mr Emu @ 12.35 p.m., GAFF1. After a "natural break" and a not-so-healthy lunch, I pretended the car was a truck and parked appropriately close to the GZ. There were other cars doing the same, but the occupants were either eating or sleeping, and didn't pay me any mind. After a bit of a hunt, the exposed top edge of the cache gave the game away. After the log was signed, the cache was re-hidden. Hopefully the wind and rain won't uncover it again too soon. Thanks for the cache oenze.

We were diving along this road and Chewin' said "there is a cache in there that you haven't got". How nice, I thought. But there was a ulterior motive. The car had barely stopped rolling and the coffee pot came out . Should have known.
Nice cache thanks, Robmc.
(Chewin' would like to say thanks for the coffee break too )

Dropped off a TB who wants a balloon ride. The Yarra Valley might have been a better spot but it's closer to there than it was a while back anyway.
A quick toilet and cache stop on the way through to Ballarat.

My first cache of a string on the way back to Adelaide today.
Dropped a TB, will log it in when I get the number!
Think the think the clue refers to has been flattened, not that it's really necessary.
Thanks

Found easily enough, replacing it was the hard part with a carload of muggles nearby sitting doing nothing useful. Strolled around a bit pretended to be on the phone, which I don't think was all that convincing.
Actually our first time parking here to look for this one at night, which we found the best time to do this one!!
Found the "white cars" and walked in behind a truck, like Richary, Mrs CanClan exited, when she felt something crawl on her. Mr CanClan went in for the easy find.

Nice easy find except the tree was full of biting ants so be warned! A conveniently parked semi had me out of the sight of the muggles. TNLNSL, cheers oenze.
Must be a bit funny to see 3 people around this area at once. Luckily very few muggles around at this time.
Headed up the wrong way so we had to head back. Spotted by McPhan as I grabbed it. TFTC

We stopped by here on the way to AWG59 in the Grampians for a nice easy find at 14:10. The stop cost me "Maccas" but my own personal 13-year, post-10:30 drought remains intact .

Found at 9.55am GAFF1. We have passed this cache many times since January, but always on the wrong side of the freeway. This time we were on the right side and we grabbed it before having a late breakfast. Thanks Oenze. Took: Screwdriver, Left: Alen key.
I have stopped here a couple of times, only to find trucks or cars next too GZ, so no chance to search. Tonight I was later arriving, the drive-thru was closed and there was little activity in the parking bay. Though I still felt that my little torch flashing around in the bushes would look very odd if I stayed too long.
Happily the cache was found fairly quickly. TNLNSL.

A late log... found with Muzza and Kiwideb. Found by Deb. Swapped a shock absorber keyring for a plastic watch.
Found in the company of Muzza and Alansan at 0935. Nice quick easy find. Thanks for the cache Oenze.
Found easily in the company of Alan-san and Kiwideb, our first cache of our Ballarat caching day. We resisted the temptation of the nearby establishment and headed straight to GZ where Kiwideb made the find. I made no exchange. Thanks for the cache, and the reason for a quick break in our journey.
Sixth of Twenty Two finds on the BBBBB (Bacchus Marsh, Ballan, Ballarat, Beaufort Bash) in company with Daks Emu Mob. I resisted the temptation to go through the drive through at Mc Donald’s and made my way to the cache site, just as I began my search a Muggle pulled up so we had to go to the shop for some lunch and wait for him to depart. I like the container of the cache. Thanks Oenze.

Thanks oenze great meeting you and your wife today.

1st find of 3 for the evening
I decided to do a couple of caches whilst on my way to Ballarat for a music practise.
I only had until 8pm to make as many finds as I could.
I had attempted this cache a while ago, but my GPS was not setup properly, so I didn't find it.
But this time my unit led me to GZ with much ado.
Thanks Oenze.

I have lost count of the number of times we have stopped at this location, and today at least we had another better reason than Mc.
After parking the Hilux in a manner to hide our activity we started the search for the cache and after a couple of minutes the cache was found.
Many thanks Oenze for placing a cache here.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm We are one of the many that have stopped here before. With no cuppa or bikkies on board we turned this drive-thru into a drive-by. The cache was found quickly but unfortunately we had no swaps that fitted the theme so TNLNSL at 15-00. Thanks oenze for the cache

Found by Mary & David at 1730. On our way to a weekend of caching and 4WDing. Now we understand the theme. TNLN. Thanks to oenze.
First of twenty-six cache finds in company with embi and Rabbitto. This cache reminded me of the chewinprickles one near the West Gate Bridge. Rabbitto found it at 0800. There were plenty of great big 'cars' parked nearby, but we were out of their sight. As we were filling in the log I commented that nobody could see us. "Yes, except for that bloke 10m away", said Rabbitto. He was too engrossed on his mobile phone to be concerned about the three blokes lurking in the bushes! I didn't have anything that fitted the theme, so I made no exchange. Thanks to oenze for the cache.
Dear Oenze,
I logged your cache today at 8:00am as the first cache of thirty four on our Ballarat and Beyond Cache Bash with Dak and Embi. Our unofficial Geocaching rule number 26 states that the first cache of the day usually sets the tone for the rest of the day and an easy find here would mean we were in for a great days caching. The choice was left or right and on a 50/50, I picked correctly for an immediate find. We became so engrossed in logging the cache, we never saw the guy pull up nearby to answer his mobile. Still, he wasn't interested in three guys appearing from behind a tree. Two maybe, but three, apparently, no. Thanks for the cache, and rule 26 proved true again as a great day was to be had by all.
Kind Regards,
D B-A

We went for this cache after visit the TB Lounge at Avalon up the Geelong Bacchus Marsh Road. The sun was getting close to setting so we hoped we had enough time to get to the cache location.
No a problem. Parking as indicated we had the cache in hand shortly after arriving. There were plenty of ants around and those with open toed shoes were not happy in our group today. Nevertheless the cache back to the car for swaps and replacement by me.
Took pliers, left screwdriver set.
Thanks oenze. Did you know it's 3km before you can do a UTurn back to Melbourne? Well, we do now. An interesting location where we saw a multitude of fire trucks parked today, availing themsleves of the Dine In rather than Drive Thru.

Our 1st FTF!
Saw this one last night, but didn't fancy a midnight caching session, we decided to do this one this morning and have breakfast nearby.
Stealth is required, we went back to the car a couple of times so as not to look suspicious.
Found the cache at 10:40, signed log and did swaps in the car, (picked up a few friendly ants).
Took Bug Remover
Left Police Car and Rescue Chopper
Thanks to Oenze for a convenient cache at a location that we stop by at nearly every Melbourne trip.
