From previous logs we judged our distance then stood back, had a critical look and walked straight to the hide. Well done [(:]
Hi all could you please do not attempt this GC on the 4/7/15 between 10:00 and 4:00pm. There will be a lot of orienteerners running through where this GC is. You will look very obvious.
Finally tracked this one down today. Must have passed it many many times. This time worked slowly not know just what I was looking for size wise. Good to get this one off my list today.many hiding places around this site. Thanks for eliminating the error of distances out kazba16. Hope you get your prize.
Back for another go at this one on a clear frosty morning took a flask of coffee this time expecting to be there awhile.. no idea on size of container ..spent an hour wandering around and around, off to another one nearby for a wander and back to this one again. and still no joy..
After half an hour of walking around in circles I decided to try one more place before giving up and I FOUND IT!!! Lovely area and ruins. Thanks for the cache! TNLN

Spent about 20 minutes scouring this great spot...no cache was found. Given that it hasn't been found in a while, perhaps the CO needs to ensure it is still intact?
Found today while out bike riding through the bush with DoorMatt. He had already found this cache a few years ago, but I hadn't come across it. After searching the 10 meter circumference for any sign of the container, we finally found it well off the coordinates! Signed it and placed back into a more accurate location. Tftc
Found it after abit of search.
Interesting old ruin here.
Thanks for bring me here and cache.

The only one I didn't find today on my visit to Bendigo. Looked around quite a few areas from where the iPhone had taken me but just couldn't get this one today. Oh well, 1 out of 18 as a DNF is a better batting average than usual. Thanks bevfre.
A easy find today while in Bendigo was in the open so covered it some. At last
we got to do this one that has been on our o do list.
Signed and replaced. TFTC.

I had hunted this cache 4 years ago and was keen to get a find on it while in town. Found quickly this time as I have found a few since. Glad to put it away TNLN. Thanks for the fun
Would you believe the Wenchette is old enough to be looking at Uni courses? Open Day at LaTrobe Bendigo gave us a chance to drop off Traffic Control 1 and also find a few puzzles that were solved many moons ago.
This was our second visit to this cache. First time was very late in the day and just starting to drizzle. The search was aborted very early on. Today we had a bit more time and much better light. Cache was found about 7 west of the indicated GZ. A log from a previous find has a very obvious clue for anyone that gets stuck.
Thank you for the cache bevfre.
#2275th @ 1506hrs and 7th of 9 for the day.

Found after spending about 20 minutes of looking in the wrong place before Tamzy spotted a possible hiding spot a little further away. Cache was hiding patiently there, waiting to be signed. Co-ords were slightly off.
Took us awhile to find as co ords are out a bit, Tamzy spotted what looked like a familiar style of geo caching and there it was waiting for to sign the log TFTC
Found at 1115. Really interesting ruins, found an old bottle too. It would be great if there were old photos to see the old house. The hints were handy and I was able to find a nice rock nearby to soak in the birdsong on a beautiful day. TFTC TNLN.
Another great day caching in Bendigo.
We found a large variety of containers and well hidden caches,
this being one of them. Followed others & expanded search, easy find.

Checked logs and couldn't find it. Found an old logbook but no writing in it. Nothing that I can find 10-11m away.
Drove past on the way to do another cache and noticed the ruins. Checked the GPS and sure enough a cache there.
Lots of old stuff around the site and did S the others and expanded the search to win.

Searched for about 10-15 minutes at GZ with no luck then read the other logs and extended our search to a distance of 11 metres. We eventually found the cache but it wasn't so easy because we didn't know which direction away from GZ we had to look. TFTC!
Was looking around every where. Stopped & read the old postings. Found the cache around 10-11m away from the coordinate. Signed the log as Bolitho gang/family. TFTC
Found 10.05am
The cache was at the start of a great drive through the bush towards Strathfieldsaye. Wandered around the ruins before widening the search, like others we found the cache about 10m away.

Love the old ruins and the history that seeps out of the rocks. Cache was about 11m from where my GPSr was indicating. SL. Thanks bevfre.
Tried this one awhile ago with no luck. Back thos arvo with a new GPSr. MUST read previous logs! I found GZ then walked in a giant circle until I found the obvious.
After some time searching with no luck we went through the previous logs and as a result we expanded our search area. It was eventually located and according to our GPS it was 11 meters from the listed co-ords. Tnln tftc.
After a quick look around with no luck I consulted the logs to find that the coordinates are off by about 10m and several hints to the actual location. I recommend paying attention to the logs if needed. After a fair search around I finally stumbled across the cache. As others have mentioned a bit of extra history on the ruins would be great. TFTC
Weekend away with bushfire up at our caravan at Lake Eppalock for two days of caching around my 2nd hometown Bendigo.
Bushfire did all the work i just drove all day.
We teamed up with tackle_head and The Empire for the day.
Thanks for the drive to this area.

#2468 An interesting history behind this cache and we were quite intrigued with the large quantities of remnants left behind. The GPSr's were being a little creative at this location, they wanted us to be in a place that was a little way from the actual GZ. Still Dad had no trouble locating the cache in this fascinating spot. Our thanks to bevfre fro bringing us here.

After spending the night at vicfire's permanent camp site at Lake Eppolock(their little bit of paradise)and having a few stubbies and a couple of reds and then bacon and eggs for breakfast this morning the ageing Bushfire was ready for a day of caching between here and Bendigo.
This cache was not on the original list but as we were in the area it became a must do cache and we were glad that it happened that way.
Great ruins but we thought the co-ords were about 10m out but cache was found after expanding our search.
Thanks to bevfre for bringing us out here by placing this cache.

Found by The Empire @ 11:25am with tackle_head, Bushfire and vicfire.
The ruins were great but this one took us a little longer than we had hoped. The co-ords seemed to be a little out on all of our devices. We spotted a little Jacky Dragon on the ruins, I got a few pics and will post them soon, onto the cache page. Thanks for the cache, bevfire.

Third for the day on my little day trip to this very cool town. Dropped off beautiful Portuguese geocoin. Tftc

Took a little while to find. Thanks for bringing us to this peice of history. SL
After a fair bit of walking, it was time for lunch - we grabbed some and decided to eat at the next cache -and this was it! What a great place it was to see aswell - love seeing the old "relics" of the bygone era. Our co'ords were roughly 11m off as a previous finder - but Big Ez had the caching brain on and it was soon located.
Many thanks bevfre for showing us this spot. TNLN SL

This was an interesting cache. I approached it from Strathfieldsaye only to find no public access from that direction. Eventually found a road from the Bendigo side.
Track washed out/ rough for Geo-Daewoo in patches following recent rain (again) - but nothing that couldn't be handled!
GPS out by 11m - made it to GZ and looked to see what was 10m away (according to previous logs) - an easy find. TFTC! SL TNLN

Help!!!!
This was my first attempt at geocaching and I couldnt find it (but I really dont know what I was looking for?).
My GPS had me at the rear west corner of the ruins. I looked 10m either side and nothing!
Wrote to bevfre for help and a hint (a big hint).
Hope to relook and find in the next few days.

Even with clue from bevfre, still no luck finding it.
I need to rethink and go out again (perhaps when I'm not thinking about snakes and spiders the whole time).

Out and about for fuel and food before heading off to work. Arriving in the general area there was a vehicle parked on the side of the road, muggles I presume, so drove past and then returned soon after to find them gone. A quick find but my GPSr co-ords were about 10 metres out. Dropped off Rasp Racer #3 TB. Thanks Bevfre for the cache.
Wow!! Alot of places it could be. After awhile found cache. Interest place. SL TNLN TFTC.....Cheers
Wow I thought I had covered every square inch of this park. What a nice secluded spot. My GPS was having troubles though I was out by a good 10 metres or so, but came up with the cache while Bluey and Squid climbed amongst the ruins. Our last for the week. Cheers Hobbo.
on the mtb doing some caches.. certainly no where near where the gps took me... spread out people we got a search mission on. oh and kool ruins.
Found with my mate Blacklegend17 (Marshy) during our 2 day Bendigo cache blitz. The torches were out for this one as it was now night time. What a fascinating place. Thanks for the hide.
30th find for the day on my caching trip with my caching buddy, Marty (Quasar3671) in Bendigo for two days of non stop caching fun. Well, at the time of night we found this on, it was into night caching mode and the torches were out. What an awesome place. Took some night images. Find was made by Quasar3671 (Marty). Amazing to think these places are around. Thanks for the hide. SLTNLN.
Found it, it needs a new log book it is full

What a great hide. Took us a while to find it but we eventually had it in hand. What a great old relic in bendigo made out of mud. The cache is well hidden and alittle of gz coor take your time to look around
looking for ages stopped for a cuppa and tryed again and finally found it but it was fun.
One of eight finds today with Teams DEJH and Larzos. Took us a while to find, stopped for a cuppa and a think of where the cache could be hidden and then looked again. Finally found it - a great hide.
Lovely ruins - I am sure the house would have been great in its hayday.

Find # 901 @ 16:10 and the 20th of 26 finds with Jaffnut on our Bendigo caching weekend.
Was looking in the wrong place initially but after reading some logs, we searched elsewhere and found the cache. Nice area but a shame that someone treated it like a local dumping ground. We did our bit by taking a few items of junk with us that may surface as a cache in the future. TNLNSL TFTC

Found at 16:10 with 3up on our second day of caching in the Bendigo area. What a great location for a cache. I never would have known these ruins were here. As a bonus we also managed to salvage some possible cache containers and pulleys from some rubbish that had been dumped in the area. Thanks for bringing us here bevfre
What an amazing old building (ruins)...I wish I knew some history about it...It took about 5 minutes to find the cache..previous logs helped..The cache looked like an old Borax container..Left an aeroplane (taken from "Anniversary Lookout"...and took pooh bear holding a magnifying glass/honey jar....TFTC
Decided to get out the mountain bike and tackle this one a third time with the new posted coords. Hurray, success. TFTC
A random cache on the way home. Didn't have the details and so missed the bit about it being 15 m out. All the rules about "look for something unnatural" didn't work here because it is all alien to the surroundings. I was scared to move too much in case it all came crashing down.
These were cool old ruins. We had come here yesterday and not been able to find the cache, as we were searching in the wrong spot using info provided. There are quite a few things to look under or into here, and with the coords being out many spots to search. We came back today, as one of the boys had had a thought, and the cache was indeed found where they thought it could be. Dropped in the yellow Jeep TB. TFTC.
Unlike the other logs, we found this cache about 15m *west* from the coordinates. If you're looking around a tree and worried about putting fingers or hands into places that you can't see, then you're in the wrong place. There are centipedes here, so you could conceivably get a nasty nip. No need to put fingers at risk to extract this cache.
Great site - pity there's no signs nearby to tell us what it's all about.

This was find number 11 for the day- my final cache.
I parked at the new school and decided to walk in first (was unsure if the geovehicle could handle it) after walking about 400 meters in I decided to go back for the car.
Made it to GZ and vaguely remembered reading something on a previous log about the coords being 15meters out and needing to search 15 meters East of the coords. Trialling this strategy I had the cache in hand within 5 minutes. (A very lucky effort!)
Put the cache back safely in its spot only to realise I was still holding the pencil. Had to retrieve it again, replace the pencil and return it to its hiding spot again. Ah well
What a lovely area and interesting ruin.
